Hey everyone,We’ve got some exciting news about a long-awaited change to app cloning in Airtable!Who does this affect? This change is for all users of Airtable across all our plan types. What’s Changing? Currently, when you clone an app (e.g. using “Duplicate base” or “Take snapshot”), all the underlying object IDs (like table IDs and field IDs) are replaced with new ones in the cloned version. With this update, those IDs will now stay the same in the cloned app. The only thing that will change is the top-level app ID.Why This Matters: This update will make things a lot smoother, especially for users who’ve had to deal with workarounds due to different object IDs when restoring snapshots. How to review your set up: For most users, this shouldn’t require you to make any cha

It’s here! You can now configure form fields so that they display or hide based on the submitter’s responses in previous fields. Here’s how to use it in the form builder: Underneath the field title/description, turn ON the toggle switch labeled “Show field only when conditions are met.” Choose another field and the value or condition it should meet. Like with filters, you can add as many conditions as you’d like to a field. And here’s some useful tips: You can chain together multiple conditional form fields in a sequence—i.e., use one conditional form field as the condition for another form field You can make conditional form fields required! Today we're excited to release three new features that will greatly improve Project Management workflows in Airtable. These include a new gantt layout option, date dependencies which work across views and a better way to preview utilization when assigning tasks. 1. Gantt in interfacesIf you ever wondered why we needed two separate views for timeline and gantt, so did we. Gantt is now a layout option within timeline view. This means you can now view and manage dependent tasks within interfaces or anywhere else you have a timeline view, by selecting gantt in the new layout toggle.   2. This will allow you to stop accepting form responses and show a friendly message to your users instead of the form. Previously, you would have had to unshare the form and users would see a generic page unavailable message.
