Hello everybody.It is possible to have a view of type "Locked view" and at the same time of type "Personal view".The thing is that I have views created exclusively to generate automations. So I want, on the one hand, for no one other than me to access them (no one but me needs to be bothered by displaying this view in the list of available views), and on the other hand, to prevent myself or someone else from modifying them by mistake.If not, what would be the best way to protect a filter view that is used exclusively to generate automations? The idea is to prevent adding records there, and at the same time having its configuration manipulated by mistake.Thank you.

Hi all! I’m in desperate need of a way to get the data I have in a table into Google Sheets. I would prefer not to use Integromat, but a script. I’m not a developer… I found a script (https://www.optimi.co.nz/blog/2019/05/11/you-too-can-make-dashboards-how-to-visualise-your-airtable-data-in-google-data-studio) but it pulls all the columns of the table and I would like it to pull only the ones that are not hidden in a specific view. Also, since I will be referring to those columns in other sheets, I need their order not to chance when it updates. Any suggestions? @Bill.French? Thank you!!

However, developing the scripts is relatively tedious because the script editor gives a limited view of the code (and it lags behind a “real” IDE, e.g. no copilot etc). There is also no version control.I currently develop our scripts this way:I write the script in Visual StudioI also maintain the GIT repo thereWhen I'm done, I copy the script into the Airtable script editorHowever, copying back and forth is error-prone and tedious.My questions to the community:What are your best practices for writing automation scripts and managing the scripts?Is it really not possible to make the code view in the editor full screen (Safari, see image)?Thank you very much!

I have a base where conversations with customers are sorted into different category, like pricing, features, complaints, technical requests, etc.I want to create an overview that shows how many conversations of each category happened in different time periods (Last 24 hours, last week, last month, last 3 months,...).This is how it looks like: Is it possible to make that so that the number of conversations of, for example, pricing are rightly entered automatically into each of the columns?(This is where the conversations are saved:)

Hello, I am running into the problem where if two users trigger my automation at the same time or before the automation finishes then the second data point will not run/create a record. Is there a way to setup a queuing system where the second trigger can hold until the automation has completed?Thank you!

I need help figuring out an easy data entry model for our YOY production reports.The basics: We have ~150 clients and ~75 suppliers (every year some clients leave, some are added, which is true for suppliers as well, meaning those lists are not static). Our clients sell products from our suppliers. For every year, our suppliers report sales for each client, which we collate into an individual sales report per client (I need help with reporting too, but that's a problem for another day). OpenAI's API for GPT-4 constantly has an over 30sec delay in responding to larger token prompts. This makes automation in AirTable rather useless unless you go to the trouble of building cloud functions. I have multiple working automation steps to categories data, create short email replies etc. But if you want to do anything real with GPT-4 it's limited by the response time. Question - how can I get around this? Any thoughts? 

I'm using the 'color' attribute to color-code my fields according to type of item in the primary field, but now I have reached six colors (including the default color), I cannot proceed any further.Is this normal?

Hi there, im new to airtable and need some help. 🙄I would like to create a form in which people can register for a work shift. There are four shifts with a maximum number of participants. For example:Shift A = Max. 5 participantsShift B = Max. 2 participantsNow I would like only the free shifts to be displayed in the form. So if 5 participants have already registered for shift A, then this should no longer be selectable or available.Can anyone help me here?

I used the Dedupe extension almost daily to remove duplicate records from my bases. I also have clients that use it as well. Today I got the following error message. Usually reloading the extension takes care of any issues, but today, I just keep getting the error message, even after reloading. I tried deleting the extension and re-adding it. Still error message. I even tried adding it to another base and still had the same issue.Anyone else experiencing this? I reported the issue, but wondered if anyone else had the same issue.

Hard to believe, but iPad quality of life re: Airtable is worse today than it’s ever been?  My M1 Air running 17.4 does everything else I need it do, but the app is useless and the website looks ok upon first loading…. But I can’t even switch tables…Is anyone at Airtable listening?  Do any iPad users have any workarounds?   

Attention AT staff: The view on the What's New page is broken. Looks like the sorting has been set to Month of Release rather than creation date, meaning that it is listing in reverse alpha by month name.   

I have an automation that once a checkbox is checked, it creates a new record in a different table. It worked quite well and today it failed repeatedly saying "Creating the record failed due to insufficient permissions."I'm the owner of the account so i assume it does not mean my own insufficient permissions.... can someone explain this message and help resolve it? 

Hi everyone! I'm struggling to create an automation. We have a list of customer-support interactions that are either marked as Open, In Progress, or Resolved. For the most part, interactions are resolved same-day, but occasionally, some will need to be left as Open or In Progress, creating the need for a daily email summary that lists those unresolved interactions (if there are any). With that, I've been trying to create a scheduled automation that runs at 8:30 AM every day based on a view (that is set to only show unresolved interactions), and I'd like the automation to only send the email if there are items within that view. I've been trying to configure this, but with no luck. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly (maybe it's my "Find records" step?) There's currently 1 record within that view, but when I test the automation in it's current state (attached) it's not meeting the conditions. Any ideas? Thank you in advance! 

Hello! Im looking to recreate this function in Airtable=COUNTA(UNIQUE(Masterlist!C5:C))Where the column in Airtable I'm looking to count unique entries in is called CLIENT NAME. I have created a three table airtable, for project planning. Projects have a Start Date and End Date Resourcing links to Projects, and has a Start Date Override and End Date Override, as well as two Formula fields, Start Date and End Date, which choose either the project Start and End dates, or the overrides if set. Ie IF({Start Date Override} = BLANK(), {Start Date (from Project)}, {Start Date Override}) I have created a Gantt view using these formula fields as Start Date and End Date, which works fine as a normal user. However when I try to create a shared view, I see instead “Start date field is hidden or invalid” Table setup Gantt Setup The error :frowning:

Hello all!At the moment we are organizing our purchase orders in Airtable.We do this through two tables. In table 1 we put the separate products, each product has its own row.Then we link each product to a Purchase Order Number, which is portrayed in table 2. So in this table each row is a Purchase Order (containing multiple products).We want to organize this further, which makes it a bit more complicated.Each product in the Purchase Order will need to be split up further for the shipping process. Hi everyone!Following problem: I have a table where each record is represents a deployment of a worker, sick leave, a project or Vacation. We differentiate between them with a single select field. Each record has a start and an end date + is linked to a Worker and/or a Project. Now currently the Name field is just a Code identifying the Type + an autonumber. However if one particular worker is linked, I would like the Name field to Dispay "Linked Project". The reason is that this particular worker needs to sync his records to an external calender application. Greetings,I am working with 4 tables of approximately 10,000 records each. The primary field is the name of a specific medical product. I am trying to go through and categorize these products so I also have a field for "category" with multi-agent selection as the field type based on the type of product it is. Some, but not all, of the medical products will be on multiple tables. Is it possible to set up an automation so that if I categorize an agent on one table, it will automatically update the category for that agent on any other tables it happens to be on? I am working on an automation to Find records with a matching agent (medical product) and update them. I believe I am stuck on fine tuning the update since it will be dynamic. I can't quite get it to match the category I want it updated to. Can I do this with just 1 automation or do I need to do 2? How should I structure it/them? Thank you for helping.
