Hi there, we’re looking for an alternative solution to Jotform. We are wildlife rangers working in African National Parks. We use a Jotform to complete our ‘Daily Station Report’ which includes daily roll call and station statistics. We use ruggedised iPads, we open the form online, go offline to do roll call, and then go online to sync the form (I believe airtable can do same).Our challenge is the insanely convoluted and over complex back end. It takes an entire (frustrating) day every time we want to add a name to the roll call, because of the calculations which add up how many staff present, away, sick etc.We have 64 staff at this park in Zimbabwe, and the Staff Sgt has to read them out and tick the right box (present, away etc). So he can’t write in the name each day, or he’ll standing in front of the rangers for hours! We need a SIMPLE front end (see iCloud link to screenshot of current Jotform) to this, and the ability to EASILY make changes when need

Hi, So for the purposes of this problem, say i have 4 tables: Customer table: a list of all customers. New Leads: a list of all leads. Orders: a list of all orders currently being executed. Disputes: a list of all disputes. All records in new leads/orders/disputes have a record from the customer table as a linked record. We have over 100 customers. For our meetings, what we’d like to do is have a dashboard of sorts where we can select any particular customer, and get the new leads, orders & disputes to all appear on one page. Afaik, i can’t see any easy way to do this in airtable. Is there any block or any way that could help me create this? Thanks zeta

Is there a way to track viewership, clicks, or engagement in general for an interface? I'm currently using Interfaces for a Project Status Update site, and it would be quite interesting to see how users are engaging with its content. I'd love to see a heatmap of sorts as to what pages or content is being viewed most, or where the drop-off is to inform if what I've created is providing value. I could otherwise solicit written or vebal feedback through an Airtable form, but figured data would be another compelling way to gain that feedback. 

I make extensive use of the hierarchical list function, but there is one thing I can't work out how to do. I've made a minimal example here: I have three tables, projects, groups and records. Projects can have several groups, and groups contain several records. I would like to be able to filter the view based on which project a group is assigned to. I can add a lookup field inside the record (which is what is shown in my screenshot filtering for project Bob), but I would like to have groups A, B and C hidden in this view, because they are on project Alice. I can't use the 'hide sections with no additional rows' option, because I would like my users to be able to add new records to group F, which is a member of project Bob but empty. Are there any features which would allow me to achieve this goal?

When trying to read or write data to and from a long text field via the API, I am loosing the newlines.This is an example of what I have in the field:When reading the content through the API, I am getting this:Also, when writing \n to the field via the API it get's stored literally, i.e., is not translated into linebreaks:I cannot find any hint how to encode newlines in the API docs or the forum.Any help would be highly appreciated.  

Hi all,We have a marketing calendar table which links a CAMPAIGN to individual DISCOUNT records in another table. Each CAMPAIGN has 4 or 5 DISCOUNTS in successive panels, and so we have 5 linked records from each CAMPAIGN to the DISCOUNT table, labeled Panel 1 - Panel 5. I would like to have ideally one field in the DISCOUNT table corresponding to the date of the associated CAMPAIGN, but I can't figure out how to aggregate the multiple PANEL fields into one single lookup. Is this possible?I've tried Concatenate & run into issues with datetime format, as well as issues concatenating empty records). Hi! the last column in booking details is payout week. how can I bring that to payout details table to show what each person did each pay period? it shows me what each person did, but it doesn't specify what pay period it is

Hello!I have practically no experience with Javascript and scripting but I am turning to the Run Script in my Airtable automation as a last resort.In my automation I am finding a list of schools and then using a repeating group to go through each school and find values where the school is in the schedule table. I am running a script in this repeating loop to get all the entries in the schedule where the input value is from the schools. I am doing this so I can then order these according to start date which Airtable doesn't let me do.You can see my automation in the attached screenshot.The script is below and it works but I keep get an error on schoolName (which you can see in my other attached screenshot) telling me: Property 'schoolName' does not exist on type '{}'.(2339) Can anyone help? Hi!I'm trying to populate new records based on existing data and I'd prefer not to create a new table. Is this possible via an automation? Here's the use case:1. We receive letters from prisons across the country. When we have not previously received a letter from that facility, a user submits a form with the new facility and selects a state value from a dropdown menu that matches their facility (ex: AK)2. Prison policies are the same across states (all prisons in Alaska have the same length restrictions, for example), so I want to avoid the form-submitter from having to do the research again. Hi All I am attempting to create an automation where a project can be copied or duplicated to another tab with all of its comments still included on it and then deleted from its original location. Does anyone have an idea where I can do this?I am currently using an automation and a script to copy the project name and column fields but I am not sure how to also get the comments.

For a few days now, when I click on Interfaces, I'm redirected on the new interfaces page where I can see all my published interfaces on the left menu, but I don't have any option to create a new one.Has something changed?

I have several helper tables for linking and allowing users to choose from sets of pre-defined values. They do not need to be directly accessed and can confuse end users. I would like to find a way for them to be hidden. I found an old thread about this that is marked as solved, but as far as I can tell, it hasn’t been solved. Some options that could work: Allow these tables to move to a separate Base that can be accessed from the Base the consultants interact with, meaning allow Bases to access data across other Bases in the workspace. This way I could group the tables into functional and boilerplate Bases. Access to a show/hide UX in the Base with the tables listed and a toggle switch for visibility. Off state would hide the tab. System or even a hack that allows for custom CSS. Unfortunately the tabs do not have ids, but I may still be able to hack something with nth child. Are any of these availab

Hi! I’m trying to create a kanban view and it won’t let me choose any of the fields from the table i’m creating a view from - it only allows for me to add in a new field which i don’t want to do. Kind of defeats the point of this view. what button have i not pressed? any help would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I followed this support article almost exactly in an attempt to repeat yearly deadlines (grant applications), but for some reason, everything automatically copies over except for the new date. I used the formula DATEADD(Date, 365, ‘day’) to create a column that adds a year to each date (which does work), then tried to input that as the date when my automation creates a new record (triggered by it entering a “past events” view, containing any event with a date before today, so that when a day passes it gets added to next year’s calendar). But alas, the date just won’t copy over. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you! <3 The support article I followed:

Hello,I have been googling this for a few days now and really need some help!I am trying to set up an existing customer email reminder automation that uses date the next time we are going to visit a venue. The trigger will start a month or so before the visit date. A new customer fills out a form and a record is created. This gets linked to our Class bookings table with the venue that they have visited. The bookings table is linked to a classes table which shows each venue and the 4 dates we visit that venue. So far i have managed toLookup the dates from Classes in the class bookings table - this gives me an entry with all 4 dates in the same cell. The format of this row is a date. (perfect)In the customers table i am able to use a rollup to get this date across and then use an ARRAYSLICE to get the individual dates i need. They come in a really long form

I am in the middle of creating a form and have had no issues, but all of a sudden the fields I am creating are displaying in grid view but not in the form.

I did some research on the accessibility (as in, WCAG web standards that allow the disability community to participate) and I haven’t found much. So I’m turning to y’all! My question is: does Airtable have any level of accessibility compliance for those who are blind/have low vision? For example, the option to have appropriate color contrast or adjust text size is pretty basic compliance. (If so, how do I enable this?) The ability to navigate entirely with the shift key and a screen reader (what blind people use to hear text read out loud) is on the “A+ you get a gold star!” level of compliance. Anything I can brag to my team about when I introduce them to Airtable? If not, is this something the lovely Airtable team is thinking about or working on? Hi. My nonprofit is using an Airtable base to support and manage data from youth teams that are conducting service-learning projects. I have a table called "Teams" that holds all the data about each team. Then I created a form through Fillout.com where they can create new records in a table called "Project Plans." The first thing they do when filling out the form is to select their Team name, i.e. a field in the Project Plan table that links back to the Teams table.The problem is that before I understood how linked records work (creates a field in the table where it's created, but also a corresponding one back on the table that it links to),  I would notice the new field in table it was linking to and thought- what the heck is this extra field here? And then deleted it.I now need to create lookup and rollup fields in the Teams table, but have broken the link by deleting the corresponding field there.
