Hi! I am working on building a database to build donor records from donation records, and I'm trying to build an automation that updates any donor's name and contact information to match their most recent donation.The automation is triggered when the Last Donation Date field of a donor record is updated. Next, a find operation retrieves the donation record associated with that date and donor, but working with the donation record from that point consistently produces the following error messages:"Fields" could not be converted to a stringReceived invalid inputsFor example, I try to update the Name field (string) of the donor record with the Donor Name field (formula) of the donation record. I only want to do so if the Donor Name field is not empty. When I check for emptiness in the find operation, it is successful, but if I check for emptiness with a Conditional logic group, it triggers the "Received invalid inputs error."

Hi, I have a column with a date and time (starting date and time) in one tab and another column (Duration time) with a duration in another tab. I created a lookup in order to use this duration in a formula to get the endin date and time. I couldn't figure out why my formula is not working...Help ? 🙂

Hi All, I am trying to use the DATEADD formula to add a number of years to a date, The date is in one table and the number of years to add is in another table. DATEADD(Date,{Years till expiry}, ‘Years’) This just returns the same date as the date field. Annoyingly if I remove the {Years to Expiry} and just put a number in there it works fine, But i need to pull a different number of years depending on another field. I am trying to produce an expiry date for a qualification which is linked to a Google drive. the qualifications are listed in another table with the years to expiry number linked to each qualification. once this works i will want to run some conditional formatting in a report to see which qualifications are out of date. I have tried formatting the columns to integer and decimal. Thanks in advance Steve

I have pasted around 500-600 URls in a column and I want to know 404 statuses of all the URLs in the Next Column or in “view Blocks” (want to know which URLs are live and which are not). I am not so good at scripting. Can You Please help?

I manage a team of project managers and one of the things I'd like to use Airtable for is notifying our accounting department of when certain billing landmarks are reached so they can invoice. Currently I'm able to set up multiple automations per project for each landmark but have run out of automations. I tried to consolidate by adding multiple project numbers to the same automation or multiple landmarks that would need to be reached to the same project number but need the ability to use "and" as well as "or" in an automation. Right now, it seems I can only use one or the other.For example, I need to be able to set the condition to be as follows so an email is sent when either of the following is met:When 'Project Number' is 'A405' OR 'A406'and 'MLR status' is 'MLR 1'orWhen 'Project Number' is 'A405'and 'MLR status' is 'MLR 1' OR 'Status' is 'Live'Is this something that Airtable supports? Hi. My real-world application uses an 'update record' automation to pass the last date and number of hours of a client session to my 'client' table as 'last session'.I need a new automation to run each time that field changes. I want it to look at my 'number of hours allocated' field (each client is allowed a fixed number of hours), and deduct the new 'last session hours' from it, to show 'hours remaining'.It seems simple but I just can't seem to find an elegant way of doing this. Originally I thought it might be possible in a formula, but of course I can't reference the field the formula is in.(I'm thinking of this as similar to keeping track of number of available stock items)

Hi,I am quite new to Airtable but have played around and created my first working bases for a local youth sports club I am supporting probono but are now struggeling with this project.I am am trying to build a base that would allow me to rate a subject (organized in subject groups) based on several Main and underlying Sub criterias.So each subject group will have at least 2-4 "MainSkill"  and each "MainSkill" will have underlying multiple "SubSkills" assigned to the overlying "MainSkill"Each subject out of this group can then be rated on all his MainSkills and all Subskills.I am struggeling with the way how to get that organized correctly and have not found any template to copy from.  The rating of each of those skills for a subject should be changeable via a form.

Hello!I'm new here and new to Airtable, but I was looking for some help if it's possible 🙂I have a table with bookings and I want to run an automation at the beginning of every week that groups all the upcoming bookings that are relevant to each individual person in the bookings, to send them an email with an overview of all their upcoming appointments.It's easy enough if I do it for each booking individually, but then one person might receive 3 emails with each booking which I am trying to avoid.I have been playing around with the Find Records function in the automation, where I can create an array of all the upcoming appointments for the week but I don't know how to dynamically find and group the records based on the persons name. At the moment, I just have a list of all the bookings.Is this something that is possible in Airtable? and how can I go about it?Thanks for your time!

I have an automation set up to find linked records from another table. The problem is, it won't run! It just says in progress. What am I doing wrong? If this is a rate limit issue (I have 458 records), how can it be avoided? 

Hi all,I have a base in which we collect data on a bunch of indicators. We want to check our progress throughout the year against annual goals that we set for ourselves. We set goals for about 20 indicators out of 50 and we only want to monitor those ones even though we collect data on all 50.I would like to build a dashboard that would pull those 20 indicators, notes what the goal is for each, and then pull our progress. Our indicators are on one table in the base, and the data collection of each indicator is in another table. We do not currently have the goals listed on airtable.I havent figured out what style of interface is the best way to do this. The closest i got was writing the indicators and goals as text and using a "number" element to pull the progress, but that's obviously not ideal- is there a way for me to create a dashboard that looks like this picture and show only the indicators i want (and not all 50)? I dont mind writing up the goals as text.

Hi there - I am having trouble creating automations to change the status of a single select field based on start and end dates.Example 1 - I need the status to change from "Scheduled" to "Live" once a start date has passed. As in, if a class has a start date of 1/5/24, then this record would switch from "Scheduled" to "Live" once 1/5/24 begins.Example 2 - I need the status to change from "Live" to "Completed" once the end date of the class has passed. I set the automation trigger for "When a record matches conditions" If END DATE is before today. The action step is "Update record" but this is where I believe I'm having trouble getting the automation to read the entire table and make all applicable changes.Attaching screenshots of what I tried based on END Date, but it did not work. Hi everyone, I am a beginner and I'm quite overwhelmed with how everything works!&#x1f605  The templates I am finding don't seem to help with what I need. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to build a simple airtable base where each staff member on the team can have their own private view to track their overtime hours and where the owner/manager can view them all? We don't actually pay for overtime, instead, we offer time in lieu, so a column that calculated their hours based on whether they worked the overtime on a regular day or statutory holiday is a formula I think I'd like to have in the base. Does anyone have any advice? 🙏

Hello! I am attempting to recreate some data I have in Google Sheet and improve my work flow. I am currently counting things by hand and it taking to long. What I am trying to do is create a "Master" sheet where all my info lives. But have a "Stats" table that will then automatically aggregate the data by Photographer and month. It would count the specific "Production Type" and sort it by "Photographer" and month. I have attached some screen shots. I have a formula for my primary field that looks like this: CONCATENATE({Last Name}, " - ", Type, " - ", DATETIME_FORMAT(Start, ‘MM/DD/YYYY’), “-”, {Job Address}) and it turns out looking like this: Thorton - G, DS, GC, - 08/17/2020- 692 Chateau Ln. Holly Lake, Tx 75461 I would like only the House number of the address to show in the primary field. How do I shorten the address in the formula? Thanks in Advance!

We have a lot of projects and i want to create a refined high profile project interface. Option 1 is for me to manage what projects show up here, and its a singular list no matter who you are. We are all looking at the same high profile projects. This is easy to do, but less affective. Option 2, which is preferred, is to create a customizable high profile interface. So that each user can go to the page and see the projects they want to monitor. The problem i have with this is that it would need to be a multiple user field, and we would need to trust that when someone edits said field to add or remove their name that they dont mistakenly delete other names. So im looking for a way to make this happen with less risk of user error. one thought is to make a checkbox field to add to your report, and a separate checkbox field to remove from your report. then setup an automation that watches to see what user last modified one of thos

Hi. I'm not sure if this it the right place to ask. At the moment, I handle all the Airtable development, base design, formulas, etc.I would like to start looking into delegating this to a third-party, in order to be able to focus on other aspects of the business. My concern is how to do this in a way which safe-guards both my data, and as well the functionality of the existing base.How can one control if any third-party knowingly/unknowingly breaks down part of the base? I assume any such third party would need Creator access, which would give them full access to everything. My concern is not access to data, but making sure that nothing breaks.Apart from Airtable, we also use heavily Make (ex-Integromat) as well as Softr for an internal portal.  While I know that Airtable has snapshots, which one can recover to - one of the issues is that Airtable recovers into a new seperate base. Hence, any scenarios of Make would not be linked to the recovered base, and

Hi Folks, I'm trying out using the rating field for a ongoing review process and want to be able to roll up an average of those ratings. I've managed to get the rollup to work but can't get rid of the NaN for fields that don't have ratings yet.
