I have a table that pulls some fields in as lookups.  I want to run an automation on record creation that copies the data from Field A to Field B.  I have tried to follow a few guides but even though my automations run in the testing stage they seem to fail in actual use.Trigger -> When a record is created in "Table 1"Actions -> Update record in "Table 1" -> Record ID "@" -> Fields -> Field B - Field A "Value"What am I missing?  Does it have something to do with Field A being filled with lookup data from a different table?  Is it a timing thing? (like does it need X seconds to process before trying to copy?)  Thanks!

I have 2 Airtbale Bases.One of my Airtables is importing a view from the other. The sync is 1 way and I see the data change as it is updated on the other base.I have some automation setup that looks for updates on specific fields.I noticed a load of automation shad not run, logged into Airtable with the data import and suddenly all the automations ran.Is this the expected behaviour? Is there a way to make sure the autoamtions run even if no-one logs in for a few days?Thanks

Hiya, I am fairly new to Airtable and have been tasked with setting up our CRM for the charity (HUGE JOB!) So... we have to get our dogs weighed roughly every month, but I need to be able to compare current weight with previous weight and how much the weight has either gone up or down. What I would like is when I come to enter a new current weight (in the {Current Weight kg} & {CW Date}(which is automatic date), the data that is already in those fields move to the {Previous weight} column and {PW Date} column (currently I am copying and pasting the data from current columns to previous columns before I enter the new current weight which is not ideal!.I then would like to merge my two formula columns {Difference} & {Difference in weight} into one formula so that all it basically shows is the weight difference and either a colorful up arrow or a down arrow emoji.... (oh and have the blank fields remain blank (not saying up!!) Can anyone help me d

Hello, new to Air Table but experienced with programming and sheets etc., I am just trying to just show a date field on a form and have it default to the current date, i was reading a bunch of different answers but it is not very clear how to do this.  I looked into prefill_DATE=today() on URL, and also looked into automation but I didn't see how to do this.  Also looked into formula field but I don't see an option for formula field.Also want to be able to save date and time into a database field, how is this possible? Someone mentioned adding a Creation Time field but that didn't work either...

Dear community,I have two tables, one called Supply and one called Demand, full of engineering information. There could be several Supply records that match the properties of Demand records.I am looking to create a formula in the Demand table that returns the cell 'Specific Material' from the Supply table records, for each Demand record, via IF AND OR conditions.I don't know whether this is possible, and below is my attempt referring to the Supply table via 'Supply.' then the Supply field name. The Demand fields referenced all show as purple, indicating that they are correctly identified, but the Supply fields are all still black.The conditions are all AND except for Supply.X material colour, which could be a match to either Translucent Colour or X Material colour in the Demand table. One of these should match as the last AND condition being met.Could anyone help me solve this via formula? I'd prefer a formula solution to a suggestion to use Lookup

I would like to parse a date string of "2023-02-10", with no time information, into a specific timezone (Europe/Malta). We use daylight savings, so right now, 2023-02-10 00:00 Malta time would be 2023-02-09 22:00 GMT.  For this reason, I cannot specifically add a timezone of +2 because this will chagne to +1 later in October. I noticed DATETIME_PARSE() takes a locale as the 3rd parameter. However, this does not seem to be documented at all in the formula reference. I've tried using values like "Europe/Malta", which works in SET_TIMEZONE(), but doesn't do anything.  I've also experimented with SET_TIMEZONE(), but that seems the other way round, to convert an existing Airtable date with a particular timezone.Basically, what I would like is something where for example could parse "2023-02-10" into the Malta timezone. 

I'm currently in Seoul, South Korea. I'm working with a partner based in NYC. I'm looking to set the timezone of specific fields to EDT as this team needs to automate workflows for the upcoming [tomorrow]'s day's work. I failed to post this last night but at a little after 11p last night (9/5), I was seeing the attached date and time for EDT. It incorrectly reads 9/4/23, 8PM instead of 9/5, approximately 10a. Is there a big or some sort of rigid schedule that the timezone function calculates against? Is it not real time? I need to figure this out ASAP. Please advise. Thank you

Hi--I am looking to create an ecommerce site using Squarespace. I have an airtable base where each record represents a product I want to sell on the website. I was able to create a frame where you can view the airtable base from the website, however, I want each record to be an individual product you can buy on the squaretable website. Any ideas on how to do this?

Hi community,It seems there is no possibility to delete comments made on records by other users.I am the base manager (owner), and would appreciate the possibility to remove comments made by others without asking each person to delete their own comments. Some of them, furthermore, are not on the team anymore (no more access to base).Any way to work around this limitation? Wouldn't it be useful to make base owners able to delete other collaborators' comments?Thanks for your consideration

Hi, I am currently developing the check in and check out for a laundry and I generated their dashboard so they can see the result of their operation per day.As a context for the issue I have the following.Each service order has an entry date and an exit date, as well as an amount that you were able to leave at the time you left your service or pay at the end.The issue I have is that it is not possible for me to do the sum of the inputs with the total of the outputs (total ingresos).The result that should be in this field when I see the information at grid level is added, but when I put the field that has this data, it only gives me the income part.I have already tried to put conditions in the number so that it can bring me all the informati

Heard back from support again today, and it’s not good news.They apologized for being the bearer of bad news, but apparently the decision to only give us three weeks to change to the new plans was a deliberate one.  They made it sound like they had attempted to get the product team to change their mind on this (which makes this feel like a rather disjointed company) but in the end, the product team decided to tell us all to take our multi-source syncs and API calls and shove them right up our asses.Here’s the thing I don’t get: in my case, the biggest issue we have is the lack of multi-source syncing.  Support basically said, “well, just sync multiple tables and use linked records, you fking dummie.”  But like, that obviously doesn’t result in any less syncs running on the backend (or reduced compute cost

Is it possible to “pin” groups even when they’re empty? I am creating a table and I wanted to group tasks by “Completed” and “In Progress” tasks. However, I’m wondering if it’s possible to keep the “Completed” group visible along with the “In Progress” group even if all the tasks are still in progress. Would that be possible? Thank you!

I am trying to have different items use different formula code, specifically to modify locks codes that will be different based on date from users and the limitations of each lock. I set up a list of locks and wrote and tested formulas that check for deficiencies in the lock codes that are created from the users phone numbers. An example is if the lock code starts with a "0", the lock with not accept the code. So there is code that looks for a "0" and replaces it with a "1". So if the users code was "0234" the code will change it to.. "1234". IF({Code},IF(LEFT({Code},1)=0,CONCATENATE(1,RIGHT({Code},3)),{Code}),ROUND((VALUE(DATETIME_FORMAT(CREATED_TIME(), '0.smh'))*(9999-1001))+1001,0))Also if for some reason there is no code present, a random code is generated.This code has been tested and lives in a text column in another table, my hope was to use a look up to use this formula code when it applies.  

Hi all,I can't keep my work partner from accidentally adding options to our single select fields. He forgets they are single select fields and just types in his value—often misspelling them. I am trying to copy a series of tasks that have dependencies on the previous task, our projects have a set workflow and we are planning this workflow Airtable using the gantt view. We want to be able to set up our workflows up for each project from a template with all the dependencies and rough timeframes pre set up but we are running into a problem with how to achieve this. At present when we copy tasks, the dependencies copy also but link to the original tasks in the table, we want to find a way to create a duplicate of the task list and programme with all the dependencies linking to the new set of information, not the original tasks. Can anyone help me find a solution to this? Our workflows have lots of complex relationships and currently we have to set this up from scratch each time linking all the dependencies manually. We are really just looking to have a gantt chart template that we can use as a starting point for our projects. Any help you can give me would be much appreciat

Last year I designed a School Newsletter system. One of the columns is the Newsletter Banner which changes for every campaign. It's a png image. I am using Airtable, Softr and MAkeLast school year, I was able to get the image URL. The output from MAke was giving me all I needed including the direct URL.
