Hi I'm brand new to Airtable.I am building a database for tracking which assets our staff have.I have 2 x tables: People and ComputersThe value in the login.name field in the People table is the same value in the Last User field in table Computers.I have created a Computers1 field in People that links to Computers, but I have to click and find the computer in each record.given I have matching data in both tables, how do I automate getting them Linked?

I am trying to create a script to overcome the issue with updating multiple records after a "Find Records" search that yields multiple results. Automation Trigger: Record from "Packing List" table gets updated to ShippedDesired Actions:Use "Find Records" to search for items on the Packing list that were Available and mark them as Shipped (Some items may be on backorder so I want those to remain as is)This search returns a list of the 2 items (in my example) with Available as their status.Update the status cell to Shipped. I

I am creating an application using an AirTable form. We are asking applicants to rank their availability preference for five single select choices. Since there is no ranked choice voting option available on AirTable currently, my workaround is to create five single select fields (questions in the form) with the same answers in each drop down. It's a little cumbersome.The functionality I'd like is, for each descending selection, the choice(s) made previously to be removed from the list (Ex: If Monday at 5pm was the #1 choice, then I'd like that choice to be removed from the 2nd choice question and so on). This would make it more user-friendly and avoid duplicate days/times being selected.I've a feeling this isn't possible quite yet but, if anyone has a workaround or better option for ranked choice voting in AirTable forms, please let me know. I have an airtable script calling a 3rd party API for OAuth to their platform but as of about a month ago when calling their auth url ex:  https://somecompany.com/api/oauth/token  i'm getting a failure when I run giving me this errror: Error: request to https://63.94.171.182/api/oauth/token failed, reason: write EPROTO 80AC1602D17F0000:error:0A000152:SSL routines:final_renegotiate:unsafe legacy renegotiation disabled:ssl/statem/extensions.c:893:It looks like when called from the script it is converting the url to an IP? when I call this API from Postman everything works fine so it is something Airtable side causing it to convert to an IP that has me blocked.. Help!

I am creating a new base by importing an excel sheet. When I select import from the wizard or from table tab carrot menu or from "add or import" button to the right of the table tab, there is no response...ie dialogue box...nothing happens. Thanks all!

But I am struggling structuring my team individual and transversal To Dos.In my team, each team member has its individual AirTable base "To Do [name]" and each transversal project has its transversal AirTable base "Project [name]". The tasks in individual and transversal tables are structured with similar fields.Let's say I'm Céline : I have my individual base "To Do Céline", in which I have my individual tasks, which are not related to any transversal project and which therefore do not require to involve any other team member. I also have a Kanban view that enable me to visualize my individual tasks by status.I also have the transversal base "Project eCommerce" as I am involved in a few tasks within this transversal project.I would like to find a solution to include these transversal tasks into my Kanban view in my individual base "To Do Celine".&nb

Hi,I'm trying to find a way to do the following, and I hope someone can help! I am not Airtable savvy, so any help is appreciated.I have a form that our customers fill out if they have damaged product, data goes into tab/table "Damages Info". They input information, two pieces of info being the CPO and SKU.I have a table synced to the base that contains all order and product information (tab/table Tracker).When a form is submitted, I'd like for Airtable to automatically look at the SKU and CPO that was submitted in 'Damages Info" table, find the line item in the synced "Tracker" table with the same SKU and CPO, and then auto populate several fields in the "Damages Info" table with the info from the "Tracker" line item.Is that possible? I have a field called ID, and it's an autonumber field.  I cannot get it to display in my email.  I've tried creating a formula field with it, too, with some prepended text and tried adding &"", too, which was suggested somewhere.  I can add the Airtable record ID with no problem and other formula fields and have them included in the text of the email.  But anything I do with my ID field will not show up in the email.  The test data does have an ID in the ID field and a value in the ID Text formula field.  Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi all,I'm somewhat new to air table automations and I'm trying to figure out a way to complete this task:I have two tablesRevenue Plan (applicable fields: Week Starts [Date], Week Ends [Date], Week [Formula])Promotion Calendar - PM (applicable fields: Date Start [Date], Revenue Week [Reference])When the user fills in a record with a Date Start on the Promotion Calendar table, I'm wanting it to automatically add a reference to the record in the Revenue Plan table whose range of dates encompasses the date entered.For example: if the start date in Promotion Calendar is entered as 8/10/2023, it should link the record in Revenue Plan that contains the Date Start: 8/6/2023 and Date End: 8/12/2023.What would be the simplest way to accomplish this task?

How would I display the sum of this column and make it such that every time a new record was added the sum is updated with the new information so that it is usable information on softr?

I’d like to expand my base that I use to manage my orders for meal kits. I have a table that calculates packaging cost by entering the case price, then units per case, then it gives the cost per unit. I’d like to add this cost to the different meal kit entries which are on another table. The way that I WANT to do it is to use the “link to another record” field, then use the “lookup” field to pull the cost per unit, then use a “formula” field to sum these together. The problem is that I can only select each entry once in the “link to another record” field. So if I use, let’s say, 3 black plastic containers, I can’t calculate it properly. I guess I could have multiple entries for eack packaging item, but that seems like a weird workaround. Is there a function that might do what I want? I’ve added “food costing” base templates, but each of those uses a separate entry for each ingredient amount (i.e. one cup of flour and two cups of flour are separat

Hello everyone,I am experiencing a problem with my automation that connects a Google Sheets document to an Airtable master table, using the Airtable record ID as the primary key. Typically, this setup functions correctly around 70% of the time. However, occasionally, the automation fails, presenting an error message indicating that it has received "invalid inputs".Upon investigating these errors, I've noticed that the record ID associated with the failure is valid, as I'm able to manually copy it and locate the corresponding record in the Airtable master table. This leads me to believe that the issue may not be with the IDs themselves.I'm unsure about what might be causing these intermittent failures and would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions that could help me troubleshoot and resolve this issue.Thank you in advance for your help!

Our main People table is linked to a Work History table that shows the date and position of each shift worked. I want a field in the People table to show only the most recent date that a person worked. Lookup fields do that, of course, but return all of the shift records for each person. TIA!UPDATE: The date of the shift worked is stored as text.

All of the charts on my interfaces are suddenly showing a legend (despite the legend setting still being set to 'hidden')For the amount of categies in the data I have a legend does not work at all (my users now see an incomplete list of categories which is misleading and a smaller and harder to read chart).Has anyone else expereinced this?Help! 🙂  

FolksI have created a database with several peoples details. On it, I have also created a view which will take a filter text like this:https://airtable.com/VIEWLINK?filter_FIELD=FIRSTNAME%20LASTNAMEand then send it to the specific FIRSTNAME/LASTNAME person, who does not have any airtable account as a normal shareable link, so they can access their data.The problem I am facing with is that as the controls of the view are available, the view can be filtered with different values and people can see each others details.I see that on the EMBED version of the view, I have the option "viewControls", but it does not work if I use it on a normal share view.Is there a way to prevent a view to be re-filtered? I have 3 columes in my table formatted as such: A Linked record field + 2 look up fields from the linked record. (crossed out proprietary info) this linked record field shows all clients that been accepted by this playlist. The client may show up multiple times if they have been accepted by the playlist more than once or for different projects. This is fine. The problem then comes in the artist genre and genre/moods look up fields which reference multiselect fields from the a different table. The genre and moods fields will list multiselect values multiple times because of the multipile records that have been accepted by the playlist. I am trying to show unique values for these two look up columns, but cannot seem to figure out how.

We want our guests to ore-order menu choices by selecting one starter, main and desert from three choices in each category that have been picked from an extensive list of menu items.  I have a table with the menu items.  Another table has the meals with the date, venue and three offerings from the three categories.  Now, for each guest (all guests are in another table) I want to select a starter, main and desert from the three that are being offered by the venue.  From this information the venue will get a list of all guests and their menu choices and and each guest will receive  a confirmation of their selections.  So far I have the three choices in the meal table but can't figure out how to select one of each from the choices in each category for each guest.  I hope the attached diagram illustrates the issue.

Hey guys,I am trying to build a resource tracker for one of my departments based off their allotted hour for the week (or daily) and requested tasks that people input. We are hoping to be able to better schedule them by knowing how busy each person is on a given day. We're hoping to have a interface view that shows how busy each person is either each day or week in either a calendar or other view. Tables I'm working with:Request Tracker - where people from other departments can input requests and the department coordinator enters in the "Estimated Request Hours" (number field) for how long each request will take. There is also a "Request Due by" (date field) and a "Week Number Field". Personnel - has everyone in the department and their info including "Weekly Allotted Hours" and "Daily Allotted Hours" (number field) and is linked to the Request Tracker as "Assigned to". 

Hey guys,I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for moving elements around more smoothly? At the moment when I try to move record elements in grids they rearrange everything in ways I wasn't intending.For example: I have a section on my interface for Important Links that are pulled from different fields that I want to lay out in a particular way. And when moving them into positions from this : To attempting to get all the elements aligned it does this:Does anyone now of a way to maybe lock locations of elements or grid or something to just make moving things around smoother? 

I have an automation that won’t turn on despite working correctly the last few days. It’s set to create a record when a row is added to a google sheet. Both the trigger and action pass their test, yet the automation won’t turn on. What could I possibly be missing?
