I’m very new to Airtable, here’s what I’m trying to achieve. I have a table named Inventory: Name, Category, Price.A table named Project: Address, inspection date, images, Reno Estimate. Ideal process: From the Project I want to select items (30-50 items) (ideally a multiplier field. eg: 1x, 2x etc) from the Inventory list. (Or even just a checkbox) So for the Project I’ve selected what Inventory items I’ll need and the total of their cost.Hope that makes sense.

I have a main table with records, and linked tables with linked records, they are readable using an interface. I want to enable independend Airtable users to select specific records from those tables, to export or print that selection. They need to be able to do this independently, so one user should be able to select records without those records also being selected for another user. 

Hello! Recently took over Airtable and am getting familiar with it. I set up an easy lookup between linked tables, but am having difficulty with a little more complex scenario. I have two tables that are linked, let’s call them ‘Operations’ and ‘Account Management’.Each table has fields that are: Partner, Territory and Business Line.I’m trying to set up a lookup in the Operations Table, where if all three of the values match in the linked tables (match on Partner, Territory & Business Line) - then return the value in the ‘Account Manager’ field which is stored in the Account Management table. Assuming this is possible, any ideas on the easiest way?

Hi All, Our team is having trouble with the cells running into the other pages when printed. This doesn’t affect everyone, just some people which makes me think it might be a setting issues. Any thoughts?“So the problem of the grid lines not closing between pages is still there, but it looks less messy than having long columns of text and pics in the body of the report. I tried using the Page Designer Extension or an outside program as suggested by others, but they require you to basically restart the whole template.”

Hi useful people, Our Airtable database contains multiple services with attendance data. We also log the individual names of each attendee. Airtable can easily gather the total about of attendees across a period of time - my question is, how does Airtable gather the individual data? For example, Airtable may tell us that there were 1000 attendees across a calendar year, but how many many of those are the same people? What we’re looking for is the amount of individuals who have accessed the service in the calendar year, not a total attendance tally. I hope that makes sense… thank you in advance.

I am new to airtable and am having trouble.  I have a cattle ranch and am working on a database to manage their reproduction.  I would like to calculate each cows conception rate based on the number of times she has become pregnant vervus the total number of opportunities she has mated.  For example, if she has been with a bull 10 times and has become pregnant 7 times in her lifetime, then her conception rate is 70%.I have each cows breeding records in the data.  I also have a field titled “pregnancy status.” If i use rollup for this field with:Source= Cattle ID#Cattle field to rollup= Pregnancy StatusPregnancy status field is: pregnant or non-pregnantHow would I create a formula that would look up the pregnancy status for each mating and then calculate the percentage pregnant for the cow’s lifetime? Thank you so much for any help you can give me!  

For the love of all that is holy, WHY!?In this most recent UI update, Airtable seems to have randomly increased the margin width on the Interface side pages, messing up many of my pages and making it much harder to fit three elements per line in many circumstances.Example 1:The lines in each section of this page used to fit the width exactly.Example 2:The Action Menu dropdown was to the right of the Status field. Now it is pushed to another line.It is no longer possible to have a section division, and fit three total elements abreast. I hope to god this is a bug and not an intentional choice.

Hi All,there is an issue for some users I invited to use my interface. An error message pops up for them when clicking in one of the tabs. They are all read only users with NO access to the base. That specific tab is created using the new interface templates, where you can switch between views: list or gallery. Error message:An error has occurredSorry, your request conflicted with another change.Thank you in advance!

I’ve made a print view using the blocks. I’ve set the page direction to Landscape. But every time I’m printing i manually have to switch to Landscape in the print prompt - is there away around this? Secondly my printer constantly prints an empty page. Tried to move content away from the edges and play around with the margins but no matter what, my printer prints my view followed by a blank page. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of the empty page?

Hello, I have a JF table which contains dates of public holidays and an APPRO table which contains a date field. I can't test if the date field in the APPRO table is a public holiday. Does anyone have a solution?

After reading this topic about tracking an airtable iFrame, I looked deeper into if its possible to track interactions within an iframe through scripting. I read a few articles, but this one explained most clearly that it’s not possible: Note: To reiterate, you need developer access to the iframe in question . This means the source website’s code, not the iframe HTML on your website. 80% of the cases I see where people are struggling with tracking iframes are simply not possible. Without access to the iframe in question, you cannot install any tracking code. Since I don’t have access to the source for the embedded form, I can’t do tracking. My AirTable project deals with scheduling and staffing courses for a University. We have a table of Professors, a table of Courses, and a table of Offerings which marries the other two to create staffed course-sections students can ultimately eventually sign up for.Of note: our professors do not have AirTable access, and having them sign up is out of the question unfortunately. Is it just me, or is anyone else seriously frustrated by Airtable’s recent UI update that removed base color customization?I used to rely on those colors to quickly distinguish between different bases — especially when juggling multiple tabs (client work, internal projects, staging vs. production, etc.). It was such a simple but powerful way to reduce mistakes and navigate faster. Now that everything looks the same, it’s way easier to click into the wrong base or waste time scanning titles.For a platform that prides itself on organization and efficiency, this feels like a strange step backwards. Color coding was more than just a cosmetic feature — it added real clarity and boosted productivity.Anyone else feeling this pain? Has anyone found a good workaround? Just me?Would love to know your thoughts — maybe if enough of us speak up, they’ll reconsider bringing it back!

Hi there,  I run an auto detailing business by myself and I am trying to create a booking system so my customers can automatically book a detail without having to message me. I have three different locations that I operate out of, and I would like for them to be able to choose the location and time.  Here is the tricky part.. I am looking to create a database that is similar in structure and function to the “Brand and compliance checker” demo in Airtable’s AI Playbook (https://www.airtable.com/ai-playbook/brand-and-compliance-checker)Instead of brand guidelines, I am using different scenarios and their criteria to analyze real estate records. I have 2 tables. One is the property data (similar to the “Product Shots” table in the video) and one is the scenario/criteria table (similar to the “Brand Guidelines” table). In the properties table, I have a single column for each scenario (similar to the “Brand Check” fields in the demo) that the AI will resolve to either “Yes” or “No” depending if the record matches the criteria. I would like to know the best and most straightforward way to link the tables or instruct OMNI to reference the specific criteria i

How would I go about exporting multiple page designer layouts as images into an attachment field? -Could I use or create a script to do it? -Is there any free Airtable apps that allow this? I provide more visual context in the link below:

 Good day.  I’m looking to add or rather hard code the time 6:00am as shown int the automation field below: How might I go about doing this?  Currently it brings in the date, but it changes a bit.  For example it’s specified as 7/21/2025, however what it changes it to is 7/20/2025 5:00pm  Here’s the automation:Would there be some way to “tack” on the hard coded time 6am or would I have to create yet another field to do that?  Eventually this will be used in a Workato Recipe, and they’re more buggy. Thanks!

I am a photographer and cinematographer. As such, I have innumerable external drives with images and clips on them. Each drive has a top level file ‘listing.txt’ that has the entire folder structure, down to each filename. This can have tens of thousands of lines. I want to create a base that lists all of my drives and has ‘listing.txt’ as an attachment. Easy.  BUT!!! I want to make the base searchable, so if I type in ‘badger’, the base will return the drives that have a file or folder that contains the word badger. Can I make the listing.txt file searchable? Or, do I need to break it up into 100000 character chunks and have numerous long text fields. (I have tried unsuccessfully to do this - but I don’t really know what I am doing!).  Insights welcomed, and thanks in anticipation,Roy Dunn
