I have a project with a start date, end date, completion date. I want to put the start-end dates on a timeline in one colour and then as an extension from the end date to the completion date if the project over runs.As well as that I want to be able to assign tasks to that timeline linked to the project underneath it on the fly. For each task I have Collection Date/Start Date/Expected Completion Date/Completion Date/Delivery Date. Similar to the task above I want to be able to set the start and expected completion date in conjunction with the project timeline so it cannot be set outside the projects start/end time. I then want extensions before and after the tasks start and expected completion date for collection and delivery date and between expected completion date and delivery date a part for completion date.Above is what I

I have Two tables. People and Groups. The groups table is used for an assortment of things in our organization. So most everyone is a part of 3-20 groups. My problem comes when I need to add more than 30 or so people to a single group. Bulk adding overwrites all of the varied groups that a person is in and i can’t find an angle to add more than one person at a time to the group without overwriting all of that person’s existing groups. I’m attempting to create an automation that I can use a view that automatically appends a person to a group but I’m thinking there has to be a better way. Any insights?

Assuming you as a coach have several students and you need each student to upload his or her credentials, and you know we have a table of students. My questionIs there a way to make sure every upload by a student goes directly to the attachment column of the student record that made the upload. Do note that we are using the same form url for all students

I’m using the Outlook Email action to send my emails, because (1) my org uses Outlook, and (2) normal Send Email automations get caught by the spam filter of various Outlook distribution emails that are the recipients of certain automations.In the last month, there have been two different instances of the Microsoft API being down, causing my Outlook Email-based notifications to fail to send. But these emails are sending essential information, and I’d like to be able to do something else (send a Slack, or use the standard Send Email action) if the automation failed. Is there anything in either automations or the various APIs that would support this?

Hello everyone,I've built an automation to update records in Airtable whenever a new row is added to a Google Sheet. I've run all the tests I can think of, but I'm unable to toggle the automation on.What's strange is that it works perfectly when I run it manually. I've also confirmed that the connection between my Airtable and Google Sheets accounts is solid, as I have another automation that successfully creates new rows in Google Sheets from Airtable updates. It just doesn't seem to want to work the other way around.Could anyone help me troubleshoot this? Thank you.  

Hello airtable community,  I am facing a problem while working on my CRM base. I have an auto “created date” field to track when a new deal was created. I then use this field in the interface to create a dashboard so this field is important. The problem I am facin now is that some of my team members have not filled up this table with their deals and are lacking behind. They are now going to update it but when they will create a new deal the “created date” field will be updated as today’s date even though the deal might have actually happened months ago. In this way my dashboard will not reflect my actual dealflow. How can I have a field that will basically fill up itself as a general rule but which I could still modify if i need to? I hope this is clear. Thanks,

Hello all. having some trouble. I set up a form with multiple choice questionnaire where each choice has a unique score where the total some based on the answers gives a range where it will determine the reediness of an organization, we are consulting. The scores are then set up to our dashboard where we can determine what path to pursue for their consultation. it seems like I can get the scores to be set up correctly within the form and could use some serious help!  

Hello everyone! :wave: I would like to know if I am the only one getting crazy about this… is it a bug?? VERY often, when I move the scrolling cursor up and down in my list, then let it go, it still keeps following my mouse up/down movement (while losing my position). I then have to find the record line again and click the cursor again so it finally let it go. I had this problem on the horizontal scrolling bar too. I haven’t seen this problem in any other software that I use, and it is time and nerve consuming!! I hope I am not the only one… I would then report it as a probable bug! That said, another point on those scrolling bar: they are uselessly too thin, aren’t they? It is often hard to see and catch them. I understand that it is probably to make AT looks good (it does), but it is not practical. I would prefer a good classic and ugly but efficient scrolling bar. Anyone thinking the same? I have a nested IF formula that is working well, but is excruciatingly hard to maintain because it’s so many levels deep. It would be easier to maintain if I could use IFS(), but that doesn’t seem to exist in Airtable. Is there anything else similar I could use? The logic is (in pseudocode) : IF regex_match(MYFIELD, expr1) then regex_extract(MYFIELD,pattern1)ELSIF regex_match(MYFIELD, expr2) then regex_extract(MYFIELD,pattern2)ELSIF …. etc for far too many more patterns …ELSE blank()ENDIFI don’t think I can use SWITCH or CASE (if these even exist in Airtable) because each if statement clause is different. Essentially, I have a string that may contain one and only one of a dozen substrings, and I need to detect and extract these substrings whenever they show up. Fun times.

Hi everyone,I wanted to share some feedback regarding the new Airtable design.The new interface feels less comfortable to use, mainly because of the extensive use of bright colors and white across most of the page, unlike before. It feels tiring on the eyes during long work sessions.Also, I noticed that the sidebar can no longer be resized, which reduces the flexibility we previously had.Is there any way to switch back to the old interface, or at least adjust the colors and sidebar size to make it more comfortable?Thank you.

Hello,I made a CRM with interfaces that my company uses (all mobile). There must have been an update because the UI looks different. The primary concern is that when someone tries to comment on a record within their interface, it says “an error occurred” , backs out of the record to the interface, and then when you go back in to the record to click comments there is no comment. I nor anyone else at the company have touched the CRM and it was working perfectly up until this “update” - Also there are a few other issues that have popped up. Is there an explanation or a possible fix to this?

Hi everyone,I’m building my own CRM and want to filter for e-mail domains and create company records based on it. But I do not want to create company records for typical free e-mail-providers like gmx, web or gmail. That’s why I want to filter before running the automation. Can I input more than 1 value into the conditioning “does not contain”? And if so, how? I tried putting a comma inbetween the options but that did not work. And I do not want to setup a condition per domain that should not be included.Thanks for your help!RegardsJonas 

I got back from vacation and opened my airtable mac desktop app and it looks really different. I’m having an issue with the bottom of my screen. I have lost the left to right toggle bar so I cannot move between columns in a view. The bottom of the entire screen looks cut off. I have tried everything - deleting and reuploading the app, restarting my computer (x 2), zoom in, zoom out, full screen… nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this issue as I am currently unable to work on the bases due to this? Also anyone know how I can get the older version back? Is that possible? When I go to a base, I see I know have “omni” as an AI helper and when I go to the my account it says my appearance is “beta”.  I really need help figuring this out. Thanks, Katie

How can I accomplish the following: In a form I want to dynamically alter the choices available in Field B when a certain option is chosen in Field A. E.G Field A could be a single select list of countries Field B could be a single select list of states (All states in all countries) When a specific country is selected in field A, a corresponding subset of options is available to select in field B.

Can anyone tell me if there’s a way to perform web scrapping on Airtable and fetch changes related to the tickets? For example, I change the status of my ticket to In-Progress from To-Do, I need a custom scraper method that would parse the data and store it into my database. I am using Node.js and puppeteer. 

Hi All, Struggling to get the following functionality into a base and hoping you can help a novice here. We are attempting to use Airtable to track & visualise AWS logs for interactions with our service. I the graph above I have outlined a rough schematic on what we are aiming to achieve however we are running into issues with tracking on a daily basis. I’m not sure how to structure our base so that we can gain the ability filter by day, see which products were trending, measure performance based on view count and feed that back to the client’s tag. Ideally we want to enable our clients to change a date field and see the product list re-order as such, with views, revenue etc following. We can populate the records via an API, we are just struggling with the base design.

I'm running a handful of automations with Zapier and am now getting a 429 error for too many requests.I've turn off EVERY automation related to AirTable. Nothing has run for 4 days. But I'm still getting 429 errors, despite AirTable docs saying to wait 30 seconds. Any way to reset this? Or anywhere in AirTable to see a log of API requests so I can figure out what might still be hitting as an API request?

I have a single table with 2 varying date formats, one that is in date format (i.e. 6/30/2025) and another one with single select (i.e. 2025). I’m trying to figure out a way to link the two together, that way when I update the actual date, the year updates accordingly. A lot of times we have multiple people working on the same table, and they update the date column, but not the year. Simplifying this to where the year updates automatically would allow us to keep things consistent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

I am trying to create an automation that will send a personalized email to a list of recipients. I have a record that triggers automation when matches conditions.I have several records linked to one field of the triggering record that link to the recipients table, where email addresses are stored.I use Find Records to obtain a list of names and email addresses from a linked records.I want to iterate sending Gmail to each of the addresses individually, addressing the person by name and sending the message only to one person at a time.If that is possible, how do I use the input source data in the To: field and in the email body to address one single person - not the list of them at once.If I do not use Find Records to create the input list, then I can only use ID and Name from the linked records and can not pull out their emails from the table where those recipient names, emails and other data are stored, leaving me with useless set of

I have a working formula in my table to calculate the job duration from "job start" to "job end". I am trying to use the same formula to calculate a job response time from "Job Creation date" to "Job start". I can’t access my bases. When i try, I get “An error has occurred, Refresh the page” and when I click on the provided “contact us” link, a very general page opens without contact options. Now that page is not accessible and results in a 504 error. The “error has occurred” message is accompanied by an error code of  pgluwBBDyL62GtnawThere aren’t any other ways to check status of Airtable, and this is directly affecting my businesses day to day operations.
