Hello,  I am trying to write a script that will automatically match records. The Base set up is as follows. Table 1: Contacts. Table 2: Has. Table 3: Needs. Table 4: Matches. Contacts and Matches are self explanatory. The Needs table consists of “Buy Boxes” for real estate investors. i.e. Property type, max price, number of bedrooms, state, city, etc. The Has table is where new opportunities are entered. The goal of the script is to then automatically match new entries in the Has table with open Buy Boxes in the Needs table, then score the matches based on the number of criteria that match, different criteria will have different weights. Null in either Has or Needs table should not effect the result.  I am having a lot of trouble with this, as there are many variables in the Needs section. 

I’m trying to create a field that automatically tallies up the number of times each record has been modified. Does anyone know of a way to automate this? Thanks!

According to this support article, it says that we can use markdown formatting in any “long text field with rich text formatting on”. However, this doesn’t work. We have a long text field with rich text formatting on, but when we add markdown syntax into our text, nothing happens. For example, if we type the following into our long text field: **test** *test* test We would expect the results to look like: test test test (Notice that the 1st word is in bold, the 2nd word is in italics, and the 3rd word is plain text. That’s what we would expect.) But everything just stays in plain text, and looks like: **test** *test* test Thoughts on how to get this markdown formatting to work within a rich text long text field?

I am new to Airtable so forgive me if this is an easy answer. I have searched the forum and can not find the solution. I want to sum a field with several records {days worked}, by group {name}. I have accomplished this by grouping by {name} and the result shows in the group bar. I want to use the results of this in another formula calculation, in a different table. Has anyone been able to successfully use the Airtable API Request action in Zapier to make a PATCH request? I was able to get it to work for a DELETE request but no matter what I do the PATCH is returning “The app returned "Could not find field "fields" in the request body".”. Even when I test with something simple n the Body like like {"fields": {"Name": "New Value"}}Am I missing something obvious or could this be an issue on the backend? 

Hi, is it possible to sync a Firebase database with Airtable? I want to use Airtable as a way to support additional workflows but also update the original Firebase collections with any changes made in Airtable.

I’m looking for a consultant to help customize my Airtable  project. I’ve started to build my list of team member and each task for them to do but want to have them using a simple interface for their job, keep track what has been done or not ect. We have a variety of projects and ask teams to log their cumulative monthly hours worked for each project. We have an "Hours" table where each row is associated with a project, a month, and a year. Then the team goes into the table to enter # of hours worked for each project. I have the table grouped by month. For example, the grouped field for January 2023 group has a list of 8 projects:TeamMonthYearProject# Hours WorkedOperationsJanuary2023Project A 

Can Airtable manage version control with attachments to ensure that when a file is replaced with the new file, only the new file is visible or clearly identified as the current version whilst retaining access to historic versions?Any best practise on how to set this up or use some form of approval work flow? Thanks,

I’ve managed to get Markup URLs {[Text](URL)} working when sending emails by automating a field to be written with an automation. However, I’ve lost the ability to separate lines in the email. So, this automation:Gives me this (one is grid and one is line):Any thoughts on how I might be able to throw a line break between these items?

Hello, I work at a nonprofit using Airtable’s Team plan. We recently had a coworker leave but she didn’t delete her account before she left and I’d like to delete it now so she no longer shows up on our user drop downs, etc. She now has read-only access to everything she was formerly editing, etc. so she doesn’t show up on our billable collaborators list. Is the best way to have her account deleted to reach out to support? Is there any other way we can close down her account? Thank you for your help!

How do i filter records with same tag (like status = ‘Active’ in a multi-select column) inside the multiple tables ( within the same base ) ? I want to see the filtered records in another view maybe ?

I set up automations for my team so that the next person in the workflow gets notified when the previous step in the process has been completed. However, since I set up the automations, they all come from my Teams account. Is there a way to change this so that the person who enables the automation “sends” the message? 

HI guys, I’m trying to use the Concatenate function to help with my primary field names, but the date I’m pulling in from a ‘date’ field is a little messy. Here’s my formula... CONCATENATE(Client," ",'|'," ",{Month Date}," ",'|'," ",{Record Type}) And this is what comes back…Crystal Maze | 2025-09-01T00:00:00.000Z | Income - Forecast Is there a way of amending the date format within the concatenation formula?  Ideally it would look something like this…Crystal Maze | Jul-25 | Income - Forecast Many thanks in advance!

This automation is designed to automatically update two fields of a newly created record submitted via form. Neither of the fields being updated by the automation is "Formula Name", which is the field that appears to be causing the failure. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

I have several automations set up to send emails through gmail based on certain conditions (dates coming up, status changes, etc.). They have been working like a charm until yesterday! 2 different gmail accounts should have automatically sent 200 or so emails each. 1 gmail address seems to have worked fine. The other sent maybe 5 or 6 of the emails but not the rest. However, the automation log shows all 200 were successful. I know they didn’t actually send because I have the emails BCC myself, to ensure they show up in my gmail account. Now when I am testing the automations, no emails are sending, even from the address that worked yesterday. I tried relinking the google accounts to airtable. No dice! Any ideas??

Hello everyone,Any clarity or information on this time and date issue would be awesome!I have 2 tables which are linked through a record. In each table, I have a formula field which produces a date. I need the dates to match. Unfortunately, the formulas are not the same. One is based on a date field in the first table and is a dateadd formula. In the second table, it is a createdtime formula. On the first day of operations, the date is submitted through a form to the date field in the first table. The formula field in the first table adds one day to this date so that process which happen on the second day are kept track of. In the second table which keeps track of the processes which happen on the second day of operations, I have the createdtime field. I need this field to match the dateadd field so that I can automatically link the records. However, something is happening with the formulas such that they are not the same day when I want them to be. Does anyone know ho

 I am looking for the best way to set up an Airtable to keep track of a lot of book publishing details with minimal repetitive data entry and as human proof as possible. I’m on the free plan.  The situation:I have several book series (Power of Five, Dragons, Talonswood, Trident, Draken). Each book series has multiple books. Each book can be published in multiple formats (ebook, paperback, hardback, discrete paperback, discrete hardback). Each book is being translated into multiple languages (English, German, French, Italian). After translation, each book, in each format, needs to be uploaded to several platforms (KDP, Kobo, Ingram, Tolino, D2D). Not all books get uploaded to all platforms. For example, English language books don’t get uploaded to Tolino.  I need to somehow keep track of this mess so me and my assistant know what’s been done and what hasn’t. Also would be good to keep track of an error log so we know what’s needs to be fixed.

A project can have multiple venues. I’ve got a field linking to my “Venues” table, and yes — the field allows multiple links.But in the Interface: I can only select one item at a time, I can’t pick multiple existing venues, But weirdly, I can create a new venue every time. Hello,I am working with a formula field that I have created to take a Select list value from Field 1 and change it into a number. Example:Switch ( {field 1}“Choice 1”, ‘1’,“Choice 2”,  ‘2’)The output of this is a text value of 1 or 2 not a numeric value. The tool will not allow me to use the following , the 1 and 2 turn red.Switch ( {field 1}“Choice 1”, 1,“Choice 2”,  2)Using the first switch function how do I now set the 1 and 2 to a numeric value?
