This seems kind of basic, but for some reason I can’t figure it out. I’m using Leaflet for a map using interface extensions, and the marker icon pngs that are part of their dist (e.g., “marker-icon-2x.png”) won’t load. “That’s fine,” I say, “I’ll just copy them to the frontend folder as a workaround.”But those won’t load either, so now I’m a bit confused. As far as I can tell, I can’t use import statements on pngs, because webpack isn’t a fan. It looks like they might be included in the bundle, but they’ve been given automated bundle names (“2b3e1faf89f94a483539.png”), which I know for certain React isn’t dynamically renaming to match in my js. Is there some expected practice in interface extensions or React as a whole for handling this?

Found some older posts that this is impossible, but hoping there might be a solution within the last two years:I am creating a “phone sheet” within Airtable, essentially a tracking list of all the outgoing and incoming calls. My end goal is to have a field that will show last time I update a record’s “status” column (from incoming to outgoing, and vice versa). But I would also like to be able to manually overwrite the time… up until the next time I change the status, therefore going back to the automatic last modified time.A case study: I receive a voicemail that some left an incoming call at 10:00am. It is now 3:00pm, so I would need to modify the record and then manually back-date the last call to have been at 10:00am.Is there a formula function that would allow for this? Or would this be better suited for an automation?Thank you - open to any suggestions!
I have an Interface with multiple pages. The data comes from Tables that sync with Jira JQLS per page.I want to be able to invite someone to ONE Page in the Interface but restrict access to the rest of the pages. How do I do that when the data is not user specific?
For my project, I need to compare responses between two Google forms with the same questions. At the beginning of the program, the student fills out a form with 15 questions (competencies) of the type (Never, rarely, sometimes, always), and at the end of the program, they fill out another form with the same questions. The goal is to validate, by student, whether there has been progress in competencies or the evolution of competencies among the various students.I already have the table with the students' data; how should I create the tables for this project? Thank you very much!
Hello Airtable experts,I've noticed the following issue and would, of course, like to resolve it. Maybe you have a solution for me. I have some interfaces set to grid view because I import data from Excel using copy and paste. However, I've noticed that the page is very sluggish in grid view. When I switch the page to list view, it runs smoothly. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Hi everyone,I'm having an issue with group sorting in a Grid view. I have two tables: Murals and Announcements. The Announcements table has a linked record field pointing to Murals, and my view is grouped by that linked field. The problem: When I set "Order groups by" to any date-based field (lookup or formula), the groups don't sort correctly by date. The groups seem to ignore the sorting criteria entirely. What I've tried:Using a Lookup field (type Date) from the Murals table as sort criteria Creating a Formula field with DATETIME_FORMAT({FECHA INICIO (de Mural)}, 'YYYYMMDD') and sorting by that Renaming the Mural records so the name starts with the date in YYYYMMDD format and sorting alphabetically A→Z Sorting by the Mural name field A→ZNone of these approaches work. The groups always appear in the wrong order regardless of the sorting configuration.Expected behavior: Groups should sort by the start date of the linked Mural record.Question: Is there any reliable way to sort groups by
Has anyone else run into this?I recently split some automations into a second connected base because I was running out of automation space/organisation in the original base. The setup now looks roughly like:Base A = operational/source base Base B = synced/helper automation base Slack notifications now trigger from Base BEver since doing this, Slack notifications have become inconsistent or delayed. What’s weird is:the automations often seem to trigger only after I manually open Base B again. The difficult part is that sometimes it works completely fine for hours/days, and then other times we start getting internal reports that Slack notifications aren’t triggering at all.So operationally it’s become hard to trust because the behaviour feels inconsistent rather than fully broken. It feels like:synced tables aren’t refreshing consistently or automations in inactive bases aren’t evaluating continuously or “record enters view” style triggers are unreliable across synced basesI’ve also noticed:
I want to create a signable form using some fields from my base. I want to insert an image at the top of the form, then a bunch of text from a .doc, then the signature field. How do I do that and what level of subscriptin do I need. I’m currently on free. This form will be sent to 28 unique email addresses.
I have a product table. The first field is ProductId and I want it as a unique field.
Hi everyone!I'm currently building a custom interface extension using React and I've run into a bit of a roadblock that I'm hoping someone here might have solved. Our goal is to embed the native Airtable comment section directly inline within our custom detail view. We really want to give our users the exact same seamless experience they get in the native Interface Designer, complete with inline display, @mention autocomplete, and full comment threads, all without popping out a separate window. So far, we've tried using expandRecord, but unfortunately, that forces a separate modal to open rather than letting us keep the comments inline with the rest of our UI. We also looked into building a fully custom solution using the /comments REST API. However, recreating the native @mention autocomplete and manually mapping user IDs to render styled badges is turning out to be quite a heavy lift that requires a massive amount of custom code.Has anyone found a clever workaround or an undocumented
Hello!Just as the title, I am not Airtable partner, can I organize an event in my city (Spain)? Just to introduce the tool and look for potential clients.I have been looking for this info everywhere since last night and even sent an email to Airtable which was replied by an AI avatar… If anyone can help clarify this I appreciate it. 🙏Thanks!
Hi everyone,I’m using a Kanban element in Airtable Interface Designer, stacked by a Single Select field. The issue is that an extra stack called “Uncategorized” keeps appearing, even though: “Uncategorized” is not an option in my Single Select field One of the Single Select options is already set as the default I checked the records and found no records where this Single Select field is emptyI also found an old community thread from around 9 years ago discussing a similar issue: [HERE]From what I understand, the suggested workaround was to collapse the stack, but I couldn’t find a clear solution to fully hide or remove it. Please correct me if I missed somethingHas anyone found a current workaround for this in Interface Designer Kanban?Thank you!
Hello,I’m looking for advice and best practices on how to build personalized employee dashboards/pages in Airtable.Currently, I use Airtable to track tasks for my employees. Each task is stored as a record in a table, with fields such as: Assigned employee Task status Hours spent Cost Performance-related information Other operational details What I would like to achieve is the following: Each employee should have access only to their own tasks and related information Employees should be able to view their task details and performance metrics through a simple personalized page/interface The solution needs to scale for 500+ employees My initial idea was: Create an Interface page for each employee Filter the page by employee name Share each interface publicly via a unique web link However, Airtable warns that publicly shared interfaces are not fully secure, since technically skilled users may be able to modify/reset filters and potentially access additional records or se
Hi everyone, I’m building a Morse Code website that converts text into Morse code and stores user submissions in Airtable through the Airtable API. The website is connected using JavaScript fetch requests and a Personal Access Token. The issue I’m facing is that records are sometimes created successfully, but updates to existing records either fail silently or create duplicate entries instead of updating the original row.My current workflow is: first I send a GET request using filterByFormula to check whether a record already exists, then I either PATCH the existing record or POST a new one. Even when the API response returns status 200, the Airtable base occasionally does not reflect the expected changes. I suspect the issue could be related to incorrect filterByFormula syntax, record ID handling, async timing in JavaScript, or Airtable caching/rate limits.Has anyone experienced similar problems with Airtable API integrations? What is the most reliable method to prevent duplicate reco
Im trying to use airtable record search in Make . . .I have a field called PostID. I want to search it for a number. I Cant find anywhere how a simple airtable syntax works for this .. is it {PostID}=”123456” or do i put search or someting in front of it?
Hello, I am trying to use the CSV import extension to create records. These records have a linked field to another record. I am trying to populate the linked field via the CSV file, but I cannot seem to make it work. I am attempting to create new records, not “merge” records. Two immediate issues:On the mapping preview, the linked field does not appear in the record creation preview, even when the toggle is on. If I could get it to appear, I am not sure what info Airtable wants me to upload to successfully link the record. I tried the RecordID (pulled from the URL per Airtable’s guide) but that didn’t work. There has to be a way to populate linked record fields via a CSV upload? Can someone help! Thanks!!Alex
Hi, this is the first time I experience this issue first hand, but out of the sudden all attachment added using a Google drive link via API to my Airtable record gets removed inmediately after being added. It was working alright , but it suddenly stopped working. I know this is a well known bug in Airtable but could not find any updates. Files are sep with with open sharing and download rights in Google Drive, I an sending the export link in PDF to airtable and it was working currently until it stoppedworking
I am using the Web Prototype agent but I can’t figure out how do you download the design file when it’s complete? I don’t see a download link/button anywhere.

Hello,The question is fairly simple.I have an Interface page with a button that updates a field called “X” (basically an on/off checkbox). However, I would also like to record which user triggered the button and when it was triggered.Updating the checkbox itself is immediate using a button with the “Update record” action. My questions are: Is there any way to also capture the portal user’s email, ID, or any other unique identifier into another field (let’s call it “Action X triggered by user”) using the same “Update record” button action, or would I need to trigger an automation and run a script? Same question for storing the timestamp when the button is clicked. Notes: I tried using a single line text field for the user, but the value is not dynamic and must be predefined in the Interface button settings. I also tried using a “User” field in the table, but I ran into the same limitation: the value has to be statically configured in the button action settings. Last modified by and

Hi All, I’m Dheeraj Sudan from the UK. I’m a software developer and also run a business with my wife Meenu Hinduja. Now, I am working with multiple linked tables and complex automations in Airtable for project tracking and reporting. As the database grows, performance becomes slower and some automations fail unexpectedly. What are the best strategies for optimizing linked records, improving automation reliability, and maintaining database efficiency? Thanks & regards,Meenu Hinduja & Dheeraj Sudan
If you have been using Omni to build interfaces which I love, I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem:Whenever I want to use a field that is a linked field (a person record from another table for example), this never displays on an Omni-built interface. I always have to build a formula field that copies the content (essentially to plain text) and use that field in my interface for it to work properly.Anyone else finding this?
Hello, community. I’ve already submitted my request via the Airtable form, but I wanted to ask if any of you would find this useful as well? Maybe some feedback on this would help draw attention to it. I think it would be great if we could save and select presets of an interface’s settings. For example, I want to see a specific type of task here that I need from time to time. Having a saved setting for this would be great. What do you think?
