As you can see below, I want to know if the users can comment with text and attachments, because I saw on the dropdown list for choosing the displaying options. I wonder if the users can comment with text and Attachments as proof or something else, it would be beneficial. 

I’m working on an interface page with the list template. One of the fields I’m trying to display in the list is date. I noticed the field had more margin than it needed so I looked for a divider and found what looked like a divider to drag it over to make it more narrow but when I clicked it actually added more width, I tried a gain and it added even more width where the date is now the only visible field and I have to scroll over just to see the other fields in my list. I can’t seem to find any way to make it shorter or even just go back to it’s original width. Could someone please help explain what I’m doing wrong and the correct way to adjust field width in the list interface template? 

Hi, I am looking for help with dates and quarters - we have several date fields across multiple tables that currently use each a LONG formula to calculate fiscal quarters (with specific start and end dates, not just first/last day of the month). I am hoping to find a way to use a table with start/end dates to populate the quarter fields in these other tables. I don’t want to use linked records, I think that would be too difficult to manage given our volume of data. I don’t think I can do it with a formula because I need information from separate tables. Is there a way to do this with an automation? Something like...when X date field is updated, find value from Y table?Thanks for your advice!

We have a master base “template” created with all of the usual requests from a client and different bases per campaign. How can we duplicate a table from the master template to a campaign base with including the formulas? It works when you sync and unsync but somehow when duplicating the formulas are lost. Is there a work around?

I have a text field which I’m manually populating with UUIDv7s. This string is time-ordered by the first sequence of characters.When sorting A-Z on this column, I’d expect that to happen. It isn’t. These two entries sort in this order. 019c607b-60d7-72dd-b925-f76680dae347 019c6051-5b66-7586-85b8-c54c63dbf350What am I missing?

My Airtable usage dashboard shows 881/1,000 API calls, but my third-party connection (Softr) is already returning an 'Exceeded Limit' error. Does Airtable trigger this error before the 1,000 limit is officially reached, or is there a delay in the dashboard reporting my real-time usage?

Hi, everyone! For the last 24 hours, I haven’t been able to download CSV files from any of my bases. I’ve tried in the app (on Mac and Windows), and in multiple browsers. Although I see the “preparing CSV file for download” popup, no file is downloaded. Anyone else experiencing this issue, or have a workaround? (UPDATE: it appears it is specific to my workplace, as I can download files from my home network. Anyone have such an issue with their IT setup blocking Airtable downloads?)Thanks in advance, Carole

Good afternoon, I have a database with a number of different membership categories - e.g. Partner, Society, PAHH - and have set up automations to pass the membership details to generate either a form letter (via MAKE) or email (native Airtable) as a reminder that the membership is due. At the moment, I have multiple automations for each membership category for each of the 4 letters required. This is unwieldy, and there is a lot of scope for mistakes with so many automations and webhooks.All the 4 letters for each membership category are the same, other than the partnership category. I cannot work out how to have just one set of automations for these letters which passes the membership category to either the email or MAKE to personalise them. The problem is that some members are in more than one category, so I cannot, for example, use the membership field as there may be “Partner” and “PAHH” in that field, and I only want the reminder to be sent for one category.

I'm using Airtable's MCP server to let an AI agent (Claude Code) build and manage a base on my behalf — creating tables, fields, records, linked relationships, the works. The API is excellent for all of this. But I've hit what feels like a showstopper: there is no way to programmatically configure view sorting, filtering, grouping, field visibility, or field order.The result is that my AI agent creates a beautifully structured base with sequenced milestones, prioritised tasks, linked goals — and when I open Airtable, I see records in an arbitrary internal order that bears no relation to creation sequence or any other logic. Every view needs manual sort/filter configuration before the data is usable.I tried the obvious workaround of deleting and recreating records in the desired order. I’m building up a base for my team. We have many workflows/processes that occur throughout the year and I want to track them, so our team stays on track and have ownership. I’m starting with one workflow but I’m running into an issue where my workflow tasks aren’t getting automated correctly when it runs for the month. My base is currently set up with People, Tasks, Projects, Process Templates (Where our workflows are held), Task Templates (where I would like the tasks that are associated with the processes held), Runs (when this workflow occurs), and then Workflow Tasks (where the team would edit and keep track of their tasks associated with this workflow).Two Things:1. When my automation runs, its supposed to populate all 7 tasks into the Workflow Tasks so that the team can start tracking them. Given the advent of tools like Claude Code / Codex are there any plans to expand API capabilities do allow more complete read and write?  It has been a long standing community request to allow creation and modification of lookup, rollup and formula fields. Additionally, many field attributes are not available (readable) via API.  I think the urgency on this is much higher now. Agentic coding currently require 1) manual extraction of the full schema data to give sufficient context to coding agents 2) manual human intervention to create key field types.This is going already beginning to affect the build (traditional database) vs buy (Airtable) decision. Both the development process and the long term maintenance process are moving to agentic AI, which at current, is not fully feasible with Airtable.

Hi,We’re automating invoice creation, and need therefore to create payment reference numbers. I’d prefer to create these programmatically within Airtable.As a basis I wanted to use a autonumbering field we already have for creating unique IDs for the orders. Basically the base number will get an added checksum number, so that electronic banking systems can validate that the payer has entered the correct reference number.I found an Excel formula that creates the reference numbers according to our (Finland) banking standards (have tested, it works in Excel). My kanban columns are not in order. How can I change them? I have a labelled order on the data table but this isn’t translating over in my interface kanban view.  

Unbenownst to us and without warning, we ran into our Business tier automation limits. We run a mission-critical medical company. Is there any way to escalate this internally at Airtable? I have already submitted support tickets and contact forms. Ticket # 01168252. My business is literally stopped right now due to this and the repair process will be significant, and we didn’t have any warning whatsoever. 

I am trying to create a google doc and populate it with data from airtable. The report pulls from a survey table and a linked responses table (~71 responses need to be organized into pillars and topics in the google doc). I have been trying a combination of automation and scripting or the scripting extension and google app scripts to generate the report. With every attempt so far, I have been blocked by 302 redirect errors. Has anyone been able to successful use the combination of app scripts and air table? I love it for the flexibility on formatting, but am not sure how to proceed.

Really impressed by an initial test use case! From a basic prompt on a very broad topic - Changes Over Time in the UK Pay TV Market - the AI generated sections and market analysis were on point and factually accurate in nearly every area - a vast improvement on other common AI tools.More impressive still was the quality of the final report - the interactive visualizations are way ahead of anything else I’ve trialled to date. It’s useful to see the sub agent tasks and reasoning, data sources etc.I managed to make a couple of corrections to reports with further prompts, although even a simple text change seemed to take a few minutes (I’d be curious how many credits a simple change like this would take). An ability to make manual changes to the reports to quickly tweak would be great - perhaps this is do-able via the download option but as yet I’ve been unable to get the .json files to recreate the web based report (probably due to my own lack of knowledge in th

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue.  I am noticing that for the past few weeks it can take several minutes to query a view in Airtable using the API.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or was some recent change made to degrade service?  It’s been working great for years, and unfortunately I have to update the backend to use cached records in AWS instead of calling the Airtable API directly via the ‘pyairtable’ SDK. Just a lot of work that’s heading me down a migration path of removing Airtable from our stack, since the workaround is literally not to use the Airtable API, which means no Airtable, ultimately.

While testing automation with Airtable, the webpage froze. I closed the page and tried to re-access Airtable, but the homepage wouldn't load. I could access other pages besides the main page, but when I logged in, I saw the screen below. I tried using a different account, but the same thing happened.  

I found something that talked about 216px, but it keeps doing this.
