I want to give to some users ( managers … )  the ability to invite new users ( projet team … ) from a creation form in the interface, I tried to do it but I should add the new ones from the base first then select him in the dropdown list showed in the creation form. How can I centralize the invitation just from the interface no need to go the base and add him from there ( it’s so hard to do this when we have a lot of inviations to handle ) 

Hi, I am trying to create a pipeline that a few users can manage a “global view” and then when updates are made to automations or tables from there all the workspaces sync, but the workspaces can be broken into regions and maintained separately by diff teams. Are we able to do something like this? Thanks! 

I’m reopening this topic, I’ve seen there was an old one and this issue seems to keep being not solved after 5 years, which is kinda ridiculous.Out of the blue, without any reasonable explanation, the record IDs of one of my main tables have changed.We use the Record IDs as the primary key to run reporting outside of Airtable. It fully broke our scheduling system. From the 31st of March to today, all the IDs of my records have changed.This happens in a synced table, which might be the reason, although not logic at all. No record has been deleted an re-created.How come this happens? A unique ID must be immutable, what’s the point of having IDs that change in time?

Our data includes Programs (15+), Students, Enrollments, Mentors, Alumni, Marketing, Scholarships, Startups, and Events.Our Goal: We want to move away from siloed spreadsheets into a centralized Airtable ecosystem where we can track a participant’s journey from Student to Alumnus to Mentor or Founder.My Questions: Single Base vs. Multiple Bases: Given the volume and variety of data, should we aim for one "Mega Base" or multiple specialized bases? So far, I haven’t had any trouble entering text and currency into Airtable bases, but I’d like to calculate simple overall percentages from my data. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t figure out how to do it in Airtable.I know how to do it at the row level, but I don’t know how to calculate it for the total data. For example, I have values in Column 1 and Column 2, and I need to sum all the data from Column 1 and all the data from Column 2, then divide them to get the overall percentage. Im trying to do this in the interface view too, but its imposible.I’m starting to think that it’s not possible to calculate simple total percentages in Airtable. Or am I missing something?Thanks very much in advance for any help with this.

Hi, I have established a foundation to collaborate with an external community. All my providers are added as Guests and have only access to interfaces. I’m struggling to find documentation for Guests users only, and especially regarding the notifications. I need several things and either it’s not possible so i need to find a work around , or i don’t know how to set it up:1/ when someone leaves a comment on a record the @ does not show all the guests users (portal editors) only the Editors and on top of that they don’t see who left the comment either it says anonymous, is there a way to change that without changing the portal editors status? i would need the portal editors to tag each other.2/ is automation the only way to receive emails when a status is changing? or am i missing something? Thanks for your helpMarion

Hi,In an automation that is triggered by an user from an interface button, would it be possible to divide the action in two parts, with user interaction inbetween?I’d like to show the user a preview of an invoice that would be sent out after the user has checked it’s all good. The PDF would be produced in the first stage, then sent out in the second if OK.I cannot see any way to this in Airtable, but I have been amazed before by elegant solutions :). A couple months back, I asked for help deleting lines of text beginning with the word ‘Highlight’ and was given this great formula: REGEX_REPLACE({Hook},".*Highlight.*\\n\n?","") It has been a huge time-saver but something I forgot to ask with my original question is if there is a way to add a blank line/line break where those lines were. I want to use the Claude - Airtable connector in my team which allows them to create records from within claude. I want to make sure that when they are creating a record, for eg. a Task, they are asked to give all the information that is required for my processes. I don’t see how I can set the SOP when allowing them to create/edit from claude. 

When importing a CSV file I am selecting ‘create missing select options’. I can see these new options in the preview but when I’ve selected ‘import’- the records are there but with no new options. Troubleshooting I have already done:I am the owner- however on the free plan. I have saved the Excel file as a standard CSV and as a CSV UTF-8 file. I have tried importing a smaller sheet (sheet/data is not large to begin with) I have made sure the field mapping during import matches the multiple select field exactly. I have refreshed the base and switched views after import. The data is not computed fields (like formulas, rollups, etc.)  I have no hidden or filtered views.  I don’t have a huge amount of options in my multiple select fields to begin with.  I have submitted a ticket but am interested to hear what the community thinks. What am I missing?

Hi everyone,for a long time the page designer extension did a great job creating shipping labels for my records. But recently the page designer extension always crashes. I have the feeling that with the amount of records in my table - more than 30k - it became a problem for page designer. In bases with a smaller amount of records age designer works well. Does anybody else have similar issues?  Kai @ CPLI 

I've found that SEARCH() in filterByFormula handles escaped double quotes differently depending on the field type. Backslash-escaped quotes work correctly on text fields but silently return no results on linked record fields.Setup:- Table "Registrations" has a linked record field {Rider} pointing to table "Riders"- One of the records in the Riders table has the primary field value: Aubrey "Aub" Holland- A Registrations record links to that Rider- Table "Registrations" also has a plain text field {Direct name} where one of the values is Joe "Biggie" SmallsWhen searching the Registration table I get different results with a very similar search depending on which field I search: What Works (text field):  SEARCH("Joe \"Biggie\" Smalls", {Direct name}) != ""Returns the matching record correctly. What Fails (linked record field):  SEARCH("Aubrey \"Aub\"

I need to work with 2,500 - 3,000 records for a 6-Mo/1-Yr project. Once the records are loaded there will be no need to ADD primary records; maybe a few variables in associated tables. Only one ‘Seat’ is needed; no team collaboration. When the project concludes if I change the Base to the Free plan what will happen to the records over the 1’000 limit?

Hello - I saw a post about viewing all place my base is syncing too  - but there was no answer and the thread is closed now.Situation: We have multiple bases that are connected via synced columns. Data moves through the operations workflow. We would like to be able to visualize the system and any dependencies. I’m trying to generate or create something similar to the Base Schema extension but across multiple bases. I have created a base that I want to use as a central dataset (People, Office, BU, CoDEs, Disciplines).I am syncing the People table into another base (feedback base) and linking to it. Hi,I have an automation that ultimately triggers from checkbox field being checked. The checkbox is normally checked as the result of another automation, but I need to let users re-run the automation manually.I thought I could place an Update record button and let it toggle the checkbox, i.e. first uncheck the box, then check it anew.Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work, it doesn’t seem to do anything. Hi, Everyone!As per earlier announcement Airtable said “Large views load faster with previews”, which is great for views. BUT, we could need that function in interfaces as well as my team is heavily complaining about loading times when a project became more then 25k records, for example. Kai @ CPLI 

Background:I’m keeping records of applicants in my Airtable base. I wanted the applicants to be able to review the information I entered into Airtable and make any changes to them if needed. I already created the form and a separate table to do so, and I created a link (in a formula field) to their own pre-filled form using the Airtable extension. I also already created the automation to update any changes made with their pre-filled form. All of that works great but only when you click or copy and paste directly from the link in the Airtable formula field. Problem:I wanted to set up an automation that would send an email based on a trigger field to these applicants with their pre-filled form and confirm their info. I tested it out with a fake applicant record but the link in the email is not showing any of the pre-filled fields when you copy and paste (for some reason its also not showing the link fully underlined). I am trying to open Airtable in Chrome but when I enter a url into a browser and hit return, the screen turns white and my Airtable is tab at the top of browser spins as though it was loading.  Then nothing happens.  The same url works on my colleagues computers no problem (by way of trouble shooting, my internet is working fine, OS and browser is up to date and running most recent version, I cleared my cache and browsing history, disabled all extensions).  I can get it to load in Safari but I want to use Chrome (I’ve set up some extensions and automations in Chrome and don’t want to leave this browser).  Not sure what to do!
