After going to interfaces and choosing the grid option there is an option to hide and show certain fields.However, all the fields that you show can either be editable or non-editable. It would be a great and easy addition to choose individually which visible fields can be editable and which not. If this was possible, you could potentially build a fully functional portal instead of using additional tools like Softr, Miniextensions, etc. for it. 

Hello.Until today, I managed to insert a tidy parcel of HTML into my Gmail automation templates resulting in beautifully branded emails. But that hack has suddenly broken across two bases. Does anyone have any idea why and how to fix it? Thanks.Kate

Apologies if I don't use any of the correct terminology when explaining this problem. I have a form set up and I want the information in each field in that table (Table A) to populate fields in other tables. I have managed to make some of this work using a trigger that watches for new records being created in Table A and creating a new record in Table B with linked fields that end up creating records in Tables C through E. I was able to set up an automation in using a trigger that watches for new records being created in Table C which happens automatically because of the linked records in Table B that then finds records in Table D and updates records with empty fields with information from a field in Table C. That's as far as I got but I am two automations short from having all of this work as intended. I am trying to build a table to calculate pricing. But, every column (which is its own product) has different price points under it, based on square footage. How can I set up a formula that will calculate each drop-down option (multiple selection), per column and total that up at the end? See screenshot for referenceFirst column is interior photos. There are four potential options in that field, so I need a formula that will calculate based on the selection I make in each column. And the same goes for every other one. 

Hi there, I think this question has been asked in other threads - but I didn’t find a straight answer to that. Is it possible to share an org chart app extension outside Airtable? I can’t find a way or workaround to do so - only downloading it as a pdf. It would be amazing to be able to have the same browsing experience (zoom in and out, collapse sections and so forth) but in a sharable link to be used somewhere else. PD: also adding a legend or some text would be nice too :slightly_smiling_face:

Can we PLEASE get a fix for this? I do a lot of data entry in Airtable, and it's very challenging to manage record changes with this setup. The Problem: If you're working in any grid view with a sort or filter applied, Airtable will often try to sort/filter the record currently being edited, before the entry is completed. If you add any text into a field, every character you add to the record will trigger the re-sort/re-filter, regardless of if you're still actively typing. Suggestion: It would be ideal if Airtable did not recognize a change to the record until the record is "de-selected" (when the user hits "enter", "tab", clicks away, etc.). It's very frustrating to have a cell I'm actively working on move within the view as I'm doing data entry. Additionally, this change will reduce processing load in Airtable, because it's not constantly trying to reorganize the data with every keystroke. I am trying to write a formula ("Duration of Pending Repayment") that calculates how long an unpaid repayment is overdue.Essentially, it will be:If "Repayment Due Date" is not blankAnd "Repayment Received Date" is blankThen calculate Today-Repayment Due date. Hi,Hoping that someone might be able to help me with a formula question (I'm quite new to formulas and have been fumbling along until now, but have reached the limit of my knowledge!)...I have a table of payments that have been made, each with the payment date. These Payments are associated back to a project budget and are rolled up so that, at any point, you can see the total Actual spend to date. I've got this all working well.I am now trying to add in a new field in the Project table which shows total Actual spend as at the most recent quarter end - and I'm stuck! I've managed to write a formula in the Payments table which formats the payment date into the year and quarter (so turning 2022-02-04 into 2022-1) but I now want to work out how to pull this through to the Projects table. I know that I could build a series of fields in the Projects table that rolled up (respectively) all Payments in 2022-1 and then all Payments 2022-2 etc etc, but this doesn't

Hello!I'm using the API extensively in powersave to create and update records.New records is created via `POST` and the attachment array gets processed just fine.But then, when a record is updated via `PATCH` the previous attachment seem to get partially corrupted. They can still be opened and viewed in full size but none of the thumbnail are available.I tried to send back the attachments in various formats:{ id }{ id, fileName, url }{ id: fileName }It seems to happen in all cases.Is there any way I can prevent this? Hello! the view bar that is supposed to be at the top of the airtable page, in particular such options as “hide fields”, “filter”, “group”, “sort”, “color” etc do not appear on my airtable app when using on my laptop. Same time, option to customise fields with the same above mentioned functions (filter, sort, hide field etc) as well do not show along with the dropdown arrow which is usually located next to the field title and is the way to see list of the above functions. Is there any way how to restore those options/functions and get the view bar with all the fucntions? thanks a lot in advance for help!

Hello All,I have a base for an order management system where I created an interface (Record Review layout) to display received orders. I added a field for the order status, including options such as "Received," "Damaged," and "Not Received."I want the system to open a new form for adding extra details (Logs table), such as the order number, description, and other relevant details, whenever the user selects any status other than "Received." for individual records or is there any other way to do it without using the third party solution and script.If required any more details let me know in this thread.Thanks. 

I am using fixed for my rescheduling logic for date dependencies in my project management base. The primary reason I am using fixed is I need to be able to create buffers between dependent tasks (i.e. tasks with predecessors). Let's say task A is request a copy of bill from provider and task B is review bill.  I know that task A takes minimal time so I set it to start today and give it a duration of 1 day. Task B is also pretty straightforward and takes one day so I also set its duration for one day BUT it takes up to 30 days to receive a copy of the bill and it's out of our control so I want task b to start 30 days after task A ends. In the timeline view addressing this is pretty simple. Hello,  I am trying to create a formula to put together a date we expect something to be completed.Date to Client is entered by my team and is the first part of the equation.Client Timing is pulled as a lookup field from another table dependent on each client as is based in days.  Formula I have is Dateadd({Date to Client}, {Client Timing}, "days").  This equation is taking the client date (ex 12/2/25) and always subtracting one (ex 12/1/25.Is there a different formula I should be using for this type of transaction?

Hi - first timer here!I have 2 tables in 1 base.  Table A contains info about Recipes I'm creating. Table B is where I schedule those recipes for newsletter publication. Recipe names are pulled from Table A into Table B by linking fields. There are 3 recipes per date, so 3 linked fields. So far so good.I want to have the newsletter date in Table B pulled into the corresponding recipe record in Table A. See attached illustration - what formula do I need to replace the question marks with dates?

Hi 🙂I am trying to set an automation that will update a specific field based on the information that is on another table. The field I want to update is called Relatorio as shown bellow.I want to bring a field from another table that has the same number as the fiel (Item LV) from this table.Here is the picture from the table I want to retrieve the content from.I want to compare the ITEM LV from the first table and compare it to the ITEM from the last table and update the field RELATORIO from the first table with the content found on RESSALVA from the second. So every time ITEM = ITEM LV it should the update.The first table should be completed with aaaa on the first line, ddddd on the second and eeee on the third

I have an automation that once an attachment field is not empty, it creates a new record in a different base with that attachment and a few other fields.Is there a way, that if the attachment field has more than 1 file, it will create a new record for each one of those files?

I have a table of transactions with a date, the date is formatted in dd/mm/yyyy.I want to import more transactions from a CSV, the CSV is also formatted in dd/mm/yyyy.Simple import right? Wrong!On the import mapping page, the CSV data is being picked up as mm/dd/yyyy even though nothing in my base is in that format. As a result it's confusing the dates and losing half of them.The only way I can make this work, is to change the date field to a single line text, import the data, then change it back to a date in dd/mm/yyyy.Am I missing something or is this a bug?Pics:My table:My CSV file:The import page:

So I just purchased Airtable for our business use case. I am devastated to understand there is no support for creating new tables automatically. The only way to do this is to have a custom app script, however this would need to be triggered manually and will not run in the background… Why does the automation scripting not contain the required functionality that the blocks SDK does? Why is this feature limited to only reading table metadata, if blocks SDK can do it - why can’t the automation scripts? This is so disappointing… I CANNOT BELIEVE the standard API does not have a create table endpoint, where you can define the fields automatically. How are we supposed to develop an automated solution if we constantly have to manually press buttons to create new tables… And upon searching the community pages - there is not one response from the airtables team that shows they will work on this feature or when. It would be incredibly useful if the Slack integration could send a message to a person pulled from a field in a table.As it stands, when using the Slack integration in an automation you have to choose (hardcode) the person(s) or channel(s) you want to send the message to.Use case: I have a table that syncs issues from a ticketing system. Each record has an "assignee" field. When a new record enters a view I want a Slack message sent to the person in the assignee field.

I tend to use the Tab filters a lot for ease of jumping between project types & clients and it would be great if I didn't have to recreate my preferred (pretty long) list of tabs each time or have to duplicate the view and edit. 

I have a table with a date field, an I want to link these dates to another table, but group them by month. This is so I can create rollups for monthly financial figures. I have tried to create an automation to auto fill in another field, using the date as its source and then converting the format to mmmm yyyy, from the usual dd/mm/yy. I then linked this field to the other table, but now the automation does not update it even if it runs successfully.Can anyone help solve this issue?

Hi there,I think I already know the answer to this but thought that I should ask. Is there a way for a user who has filled out a public form to edit the data that they submitted in the past? For example. If I have a form that invites people to provide information about their product which they do, is there a way for me to allow them in the future to "Edit" that information later if the price of description of the product changes?Thanks in advance. S
