Here’s what I have:Meetings table with Meeting Status single-select field.Tasks table with Task Status single-select field.What I want to do:When Task contains (blah)and when Task Status is Completed.ThenUpdate Meeting Status to Completed in Meetings table.I did this exact same thing a while ago with the same tasks table and an exam table, and it works perfectly. I currently have a table called template table with about 100 items in it. I want to run an Airtable Automation, so when a new record is created in a second table (Request Table) and the name of the record matches the name in a field from the Template Table, I have a step to find all records with that name in them. Let’s say for that new record from the Request table there are 10 matching records in the template table. What I want to do now is go into a new table and copy those 10 records and essentially create 10 new records in the new table with all of that information.I created an automation for this consisting of 3 parts:Trigger: When Record is Created (Request Table)Action1: Find Records (Template Table)Action2: Create Record (New Table) The problem that I am facing is that instead of creating 10 records in the new table, it takes all 10 records found in action 1 and puts 10 items into a single field for all fields in the table I am copy

I’m running into an issue with an automation that should create a new record in a table and link it back to the source record. Here's my setup: Loom incase you dont want to read below :) I have two tables: New Applications, which contains fields like Full Name, Cohort, Officially Onboarded Date, and Status (single select). Board Buddies, which has a linked record field called Member Who is Onboarded (links back to New Applications). I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I have an automation that copies some data columns from one table to another, when a button is clicked on an interface. It does this for batches of data, and I have a checkbox to mark when the automation reviewed a record.This is easy to setup using the Repeating group feature.However, I also now want it to check for duplicates. Rather than creating a new People record, I also want to check if that person exists.This would require using the Conditional Logic tool in automations. However, I can't seem to use both Conditional Logic and Repeating Group. I'd like to 'Repeat' through every record, then use a Conditional Logic by finding if a match exists.I'm guessing my only option would be to script this using Javascript in the automation. Is that correct or am I missing something? 

I have an automation that runs everyday, looks for records with certain conditions and if they exist, adds them as a grid to an email that is sent out. The problem is, if there aren’t any records that day, I get an error because it still tries to send the email. Conditional logic(else do nothing) to prevent an email from being sent if there were no records would make sense to use here. I don’t see those options coming up when I try to add actions. Am I missing something or is this a bug? I’m not looking for an script alternative. If there a way to do this using the block logic I’d like to know.

I'm trying to create an automation that when a form is submitted to one table (Touch Points) then it also updates another record in a different table (Global Worker) I’ve got the RECORD ID formula showing in Global Worker table, and am Linking the automation to it.However I’m getting the Received Invalid Inputs. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here. ​​​​​​ 

Hello, I need help in resolving an issue with an automation I created that includes an  integration with documint.   The workflow begins with a form where several names can be submitted to recieve an award certificate.   In my automation each of those names creates a record in a table and then upon creation of the record I have the “award” generated in Documint.  It seems that Documint cannot handle multiple requests at once, so it kicks back an error.  I need to create a delay between requests in some way.  any suggestions?

Hey All, I am stuck trying to change a ROLLUP % field into a string so that it can be displayed in an automated GoogleDoc. At the moment when I try to create a string it fails to display anything in GoogleDoc tests, just shows a blank space. In the automation plain I can select the field without a problem. The ROLLUP % I am trying to turn into a string is a summary of one of the criteria in our survey → the roll up field is called “CourseDesign%” IF(values, (AVERAGE(values) / 5)) My attempt at creating a string is: IF(LEN(CONCATENATE({CourseDesign%}))>0,CONCATENATE((ROUND({CourseDesign%}*100))&“%”)) Any assistance appreciated! I have a list of “Hire Days” in a table. Each record has a bunch of information including the assets being used on that hire day, the staff member and the Day (as in Date) of that hire day.  When a ‘new record’ is created, it want it to trigger an automation. The automation will be a script that compares the day and the asset of the new hire day record. If there is already a record with the same day AND same asset, I want the script to produce “Clash”, otherwise “No Clash”. Can anyone help me?

I think this is a new issue, but now when I try to return an array (as a list) from an Automation, the value is empty. If I convert it to a string, it returns the string value (see code and output below).The array looks ok in console.log(). It’s just a series of ID numbers.   

I'm building an inventory system and I want to link products across different categories. I tried using linked records, but I'm not sure it's the best approach. Does anyone have tips or alternatives?

i have been working on some new automations and i just ran into an issue that i haven’t seen before. existing automations that (i assumed) have been working fine are not displaying correctly. they are showing what looks to be a Record ID instead of the field. and when i try to edit the conditions, it errors out. i reached out to support, but who knows if i will hear back from them.any ideas? 

I have a situation just arise in the last hour. In Script, when I use the select control to get a field from a Find action, instead of returning the Field Name, it returns the Field ID. The selection process seems normal, and I see the field name and the value in the picker, but it returns the field ID instead, which does not work. It’s happening in several places. I’ve tried shutting down and opening again and creating a new automation, but I can no long select fields. Any thoughts?    

I am trying to set up an employee scheduling table. The table has links to my events table and to my employee table. The events have a "Start date" and "end date". Is there a way to create new records in the scheduling table pulled from events in the events table for each date in the start to end range? Ideally it would have all the event info in each day of the range. Employees are scheduled for full days so i wont need times, i would just like the ability to be able to add employees to each day of the event. Thank you for any help!

Since the updates Airtable has implemented in the last week or so, I am having an issue when trying to run certain automations.Mainly I notice this with my Generating PDF script automations (integrated with Documint).I will set to Generate and the automation used to take 10-15 sec at most to generate the Documint PDF and paste into my attachment field, then update any other fields. We have several of these set up across bases that all operate without errors.As you can see in the screenshot below, the automation is taking a long time to trigger and usually I see the below as ‘You edited this record in 2mins’ rather than ...min agoI’ve also been having an issue with running the automation again and again on the same record - for testing and adjustments, and the automation not running at all. In these cases automation history log will show (correctly) that it ran exactly the time I clicked the trigger, but the action d

I have an Automation that updates a Multi-Select field in a different table. When the update occurs it over writes what is currently in that field. Each name has a different color. I want to augment, or add to the existing data in the Multi-Select field not over-write it. Not sure how to approach the problem within Automation. For Example, a field of user names, each name is in a color bubble separated with a space. Initially the field is updated with the name “John”. A second update to the field with the name of “Tom”. The resultI was expecting is : “John Tom”, or “John, Tom” each name in a different color bubble, but what I get is “Tom” and an empty color bubble. Any suggestions.

Hello - I have a event data table ( nested in a event base) where I have list of potential events where my clients could participate. One of the column in the table is year column where I have a added a field agent to check the year the event is happening by routing the field agent to the event website cell.  So the field agent goes to the event website and check the year of the event and outputs that in the year column. I want the field agent to go back to the event website on a regular basis to keep checking for the year. Because the year column is connected to a secondary trigger automation where multiple field agents goes to the event website and collates the details about the event (Description, Target audience, topics discussed and others) For the year, when the field agent checks the website today, it might be still 2025 but tomorrow the website might have been to the subsequent year which is 2026.  So the question is is there a way t

Hello, I've built my site and linked my forms from the backend and captured in AirTable perfectly. This forms contain data from buyers/sellers landlord/renters(property field), I want to know if Omni can assist me in creating a matching feature so I can link buy-sell or landlord-renter requests that come in with certain perimeters which then matches and creates a new set of data, that i can follow up with. Is this possible?

I wanted to find out from the Airtable Community - is anyone using Airtable to send *Scheduled* emails? If so, then I’d like to know how you do it, and how timely the emails are. Over the last couple of years, I remember hearing on these forums that Airtable doesn’t update very regularly… and that if I say send it at 5:00pm Airtable might send it at 4:45pm or 5:15pm, or even a day late. Is that still the case, or can I send scheduled emails that are sent at the correct time yet?  To be clear, for my use case, it doesn’t have to be exactly on the minute for me. I am at a nonprofit that’s just trying to simplify our systems to have a lower technical learning curve. It’s up to 150 emails a week for appointments. I want to simplify these workflows so I don’t have to use Make or Zapier to send *Scheduled* emails.  I would be glad to use Airtable AI

I’m confused at why this is so difficult to figure out. I want a record created automatically once a month in a table via automation with start and due dates filled out. You can’t add formulas to automation fields so that’s a no go. My workaround is that I’ve created a ‘creation date’ field that is filled in by the automation’s ‘expected trigger time’. That create date field is then used to fill in a start date and due date formula field using the DATEADD function with some math. My problem with this method is that I’m not able to change dates independent of each other if I need some flexibility and the only way to adjust dates is by adjusting the ‘creation date’ date field. Having due dates populate based on the date the automation was fired off seems simple enough but I can’t really figure out the best way to do this. Any input would be great!

My AirTable implementation deals with scheduling and staffing of courses for a university. We have a table for Professors, a table for Courses, and a table for Offerings which marries the two together with each record representing a single staffed course-section that students will ultimately be able to register for.Of note: currently our professors do not have AirTable access. Having them create accounts is currently not an option, unfortunately. Additionally, our plan does not include AirTable Portals.When we initially link professors to offerings, we need to send emails to have the professor accept or decline the position. We currently intend to do this via a Fillout form that will allow them to edit a single select field with accept/decline as the options (the “Accepted?” field below).
