Hi! I work with an appraisal firm. Each appraiser has his own Airtable base to track jobs and expenses and commissions. When a record in their base is invoiced and a checkbox marked, a record of that job is created in my Payroll base so I know to pay them on the next payroll. I have it set so that if changes were made to the record in the Appraisers' base, Make.com would search the Payroll base. If the record already existed in the Payroll base, it would update the record. If it didn't already exist, the record would be created. It all of a sudden stopped working. It isn't recognizing that the record already exists in the Payroll base. I didn't make any changes to the scenario in Make or the bases in Airtable. It just stopped working one day.Ignore the bottom branch, that’s working fine. It’s the top branch (Payroll) that’s giving me problems. I have Watch Records for the Appraiser’s base. Then search records in my Payroll base, looking for a matching job number A filter saying that i
Is it possible to check how many automations have been executed in a given month? Thanks
Zoho Writer (wordprocessor similar msword) allows creation of powerful templates for mail merge, form generation etc. Has anyone created any extension to use airtable data to do mail merge for these automation templates. https://www.zoho.com/documentautomation/
I’m trying to create an automation that sends an email to a table user when a “due date” field is tomorrow. The trigger and action tests both get green check marks but when I turn on the automation, it shows a fail in the history because there’s nothing in the “To” field. It all looks like it should work so I’m not sure where I’m going wrong. Has anyone been able to make something like this work?
Hi all,We're working with a List view interface where users use the relatively new manual sorting feature to create a list of approx. 30 materials that make 1 product. I've added an automation to copy these materials over to another product, which works fine except for the sorting. When running test runs with the automation, I noticed that the automation's 'Sort list' step, when set to sort by the 'Manual sort' field, gives a different result than the List view (or data view). In data view, I've copied the 'Manual sort' values into a single line text field and applied the same sorting to that field instead of the 'Manual sort' field. This results in yet another different sorting (which seems most logical to me, placing 'bXa' above 'bXWV' in an ascending list).I've attached images of the automation setup and the different results in data view. I hope this helps clarify the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All. What’s the best way to set up the automation below—either in Airtable’s native automations or in Make—to reliably populate the linked field with the Trade’s subcontractors (particularly struggling to get the list of record IDs), and avoid reseeding after manual edits?Base: Dupl Construction Project https://airtable.com/invite/l?inviteId=invh3YFKHVkgkcl8h&inviteToken=ebe29e4b636f906f9bde46e9282074acf77e1634caac54dee00c188723eac427&utm_medium=email&utm_source=product_team&utm_content=transactional-alertsThe goal: when a record is added/updated in the Subcontractor Review table and Related TRADE is set, auto-populate Selected SUBCONTRACTORS (link to Subcontractors, multiple) with all Subcontractors linked to that Trade. It should seed once (only when empty) and remain editable and continue to be linked to the Subcontractor table records to create quote requests from the selected Subcontractors (which may be different to the initial allocation) later. What I’ve tri
Hello,I have a table with a file field, there I also have a “file url” field where I add the expiring downlad url of that file. As this url expire after 2 hours, I search for a solution to update this url every 2 hours so it stay available. I tried with automations first : Tried a repetition group but the problem is that all I can do is add the whole list of url (separated with comma) from all the records, i cannot find how to add the url of this record only. For exemple I want to have :File url of record 1 = url 1File url of record 2 = url 2File url of record 3 = url 3 But what I have is :File url of record 1 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 2 = url 1, url 2, url 3File url of record 3 = url 1, url 2, url 3 So I tried with scripts, I found a script extension that work perfectly (its named “Convert attachments to URLs”) but I cannot find how to execute it automatically every 2 hours. So I tried the “run script” option in automations, but it seem I can’t connect scripts from exten
Good day everyone! I want your feedback on how to complete this. I have a table of ‘Projects’ listed and includes a linked field where I select multiple records that represent rooms of a house. This is what I want to do: once I select multiple rooms of the house, I want to auto-create a list for that particular project that includes default furniture and accessory pieces for each associated room of the house. That way, I’m not having to manually write it for each project that comes up. It may be easier for me to create an excel document to include the most common rooms with associated furniture and décor pieces. What are your thoughts? If it’s possible to complete, do you have any recommendations on how to make it happen? Thank you!
Hey guys, I’m working on a custom script, and I need to use the value of a rollup field. I’ve tried:record.getCellValueAsString("Publishing Breakdown");inputConfig.itemsitems is added as a variable which pulls the value from Publishing Breakdown.I either get null or empty array.
I’m struggling to get an automation to work properly with a Find Records action. I’m trying to update a record in a table when a record in another table matches certain conditions. Here is my current automation: Everything works for both conditions until it get to the Find records action. The records are linked in both tables. In the table initially updated (IRA Projects) the field SOW Form is the link to the SOW & Invoices table (secondary table I’m trying to update a record) In the SOW & Invoices table the field IRA Project # is the link to the record in the IRA Projects table These 2 numbers are the same, so I would think it should be a simple matter of finding Here is my configuration (same for both conditions) I’ve tried pulling the SOW Form from both the trigger step and the first update record action, but neither seems to find any records. I’ve tried changing the condition for the project #’s to “has any of”, “is exactly”, “contains” (which doesn’t allow me to select th
Airtable novice here! I’m trying to create a set-up that will field team names and scores from a typeform trivia survey to create a simple leaderboard to sync to the commonninja leaderboard widget. After *so many hours - whyyy* I finally got the simple set-up ready but for the life of me, cannot get the new entry from typeform trigger automation to work. It seems to fail at the Update Record step. See screenshots of two set-ups below - any help would be so greatly appreciated! Also open to any other solves that might reduce the number of apps I’m bringing in. Also note that I have to set Team Name as a single select with options in order to connect with typeform properly. Arghhh. Halp!!!! Set-up 1 Attempt Set-up 2 Attempt
Hey,I have a “project management” table where I keep all my projects, with a lot of different linked records. When I change the status of a project to “send invoice” I have an automation that sends an very basic email to my accountant that looks something like this: Hey!The Project "PROJECT NAME" is done.Send invoice to “COMPANY NAME”: “AMOUNT” + VATInfo: “NOTES”Contact: “CONTACT NAME”Email: ???Best//OscarI have ran into a problem however, I can’t for my life figure out how to add the “contact’s” email adress. Since the contact is only a linked record from “people” where all the details for that contact exists. I do NOT want to add an email field to my project view, since I have a LOT of people and different other linked records there, it will become a mess. Can anyone help?THANKS!!/O
Hello everyone,I'm using an automation that links to my Outlok account, sending an email via Airtable. After a successfull 15 emails sent, I get the following error message.Microsoft reported an error while processing this action:This action is being rate-limited by Microsoft due to excessive requests.Does anybody knows why and could help me fix it ?Thanks, and kind regards
Hi Airtable community,I’m trying to set up an automation and could use your help. Here’s the scenario: Whenever a new record is created for a specific name (NAME 1) and a new name (NAME 2) (see screenshot for reference), I’d like the automation to trigger a notification to the specific people who have modified the previous data in the past.
Hi everyone 👋I’m building matchmaking system using Airtable + Make, and I’m stuck on the neighborhood matchingHere’s my setup: Properties table{Address} field (e.g. Monterrey Street, Roma Norte, Cuauhtémoc) {Neighborhood} (single select → “Roma Norte”,Clients table {Preferred Neighborhoods} (multi-select or linked) – clients can choose multiple neighborhoods they are interested in. In Make.com, I also created a variable neighborhoods_string that looks like this (from {Preferred Neighborhoods} [] array) : Parres El Guarda|Isidro Fabela|San Pedro Mártir|Miguel Hidalgo 3ª Sección|San Andrés Totoltepec|Tlalpan Centro|Tlalcoligia|San Nicolás Totolapan|Héroes de Padierna|Jardines del Pedregal|Roma Norte What I want to achieve: Check if the property’s {Neighborhood} (or extracted from {Address}) exists in the client’s {Preferred Neighborhoods} [] or neighborhoods_string list. Can anyone help me? that would mean a lot to me..I thought this was just an easy “contains” formula.
We have an event that is in multiple different locations. We have a form where they select which location they want to attend. I want to automatically send them the calendar invite when they fill out the form based on their response. Ex: We have an event on Monday in New York, Tuesday in Boston, and Wednesday in Chicago. If they select Wednesday in Chicago they will receive the outlook calendar invite for that specific event.
I am from a company selling STEM supplies to schools. I have three tables:A “Material List” table with a list of materials we have in inventory An “Activity List” table with a list of our STEM activities. Each activity has a linked record field which is populated with linked records in the “Material List” table An “Activity Material” junction table with the quantities of each material for each activity listed. Desired Outcome of the Script:I’ve written a script that is intended to: Retrieve an activity record from the "Activity List" table using a passed record ID, whenever the list of linked Material records is changed. Get the linked materials for that activity. Compare the linked materials with existing records in the "Activity Materials" table. Delete outdated records of materials no longer linked to the activity. Create new records for materials that are newly linked to the activity, including setting the Activity and Material fields with appropriate record references
I would like to monitor when anyone changes certain field configurations (e.g. changes the field type, or edits a drop-down selection or similar) so that downstream dependencies can be adjusted or the change can be rolled back. The field manager seems helpful but doesn't seem to be proactive enough for this purpose.
Hello everyone,I created an automation that sends an email (gmail) at the click of a button. It uses some fields + attachment to create the email:Fields:Email addressSubjectBodyAttachment It works fine but it is very fragile: if one of those fields is empty, the email won’t work and the user won’t know.I set a warning message when clicking the button, it helps, but I’d like something stronger; like during the automation, if any of those fields is empty, to show a popup or error message to the user.I have looked around but cannot find anything like this. Any help?
Hi guys,The easiest explanation of my problem is this:I have an orders table and I have a “Tags” field in that table (multi select) - one of the tags is “Awaiting Payment” When a customer pays, a team member will remove this tag. When this happens, we want to automatically leave a note in our Notes table. We already create notes automatically in other automations so are confident with that part, but the trigger is more of an issue?I’m thinking that maybe I need a “Tags Previous State” field to copy to?Not really sure, I appreciate any insight anyone can offer.
Hi Awesome Airtable folks, I am a fairly competent basic Airtable user - basic integrations and data moving between bases, however not a full coder (so need an easy solution that is easily passed on to others please). I would love your advice on the best approach for this: -We have an event, and we have 2 different H&S forms that we require our various stakeholders to complete. Each area (trade, volunteers etc) has its own base in AirtbaleForm 1 - DeclarationA simple airtable form, no images. Built in Airtable, communicates directly back to base. Worked well last time.Completed by - trade onlyForm 2 - InductionNeeds to contain imagery. This is where we came unstuck last year as Airtable Business doesn’t have imagery in the forms, so we built with an integration in Jotform. This created data and sent it back to the airtable base, but we struggled to integrate it with existing data so had to manually audit it. We also have people attending who will complete this form that we do not h
Hello all!I’m building an inventory database with an associated request form. I have two separate tables - one for full inventory and one for the request. In the request table, I’ve allowed people to link records from the Inventory to a requestor record. What I want to happen is that when an item is added to that requestor record, I want the associated item in the Inventory table to update its status to “Checked Out”. Can anyone help me logic this one out? Thank you!
Hello I am working to find a way to connect stripe to Airtable. The use case for this is to show when a customer’s account is paid, past due, or cancelled. We have a people base in airtable that is each individual user in our system. Name, company name, emails, etc In stripe we have subscriptions that are paid and automated there. All payments are through this system. Some stripe subscriptions are an ap or accounting email but pay for 10 users in our people base. I have tried zapier but it does not have the ability to connect the two in the way that is needed. I am thinking I need to connect the unique stripe customer Id to the user in airtable. Not sure if this is best done through the stripe meta data. Then I would need a script to connect this meta data to the users in the airtable base.
Is there is way in airtable filling the form by quarter and once it is submitted it should create multiple record as per the quarter.
