I'm building a base to track volunteer sign-ups for a project. Table 1 stores Volunteer info Table 2 contains available Timeslots When a new volunteer signs up via a form on the Volunteer table, an automated email is sent confirming the timeslots they’re registered for.The issue: When I include a grid of timeslots (using a Find Records step in the automation), all of the times are showing in UTC. I need them to display in EST.Here’s what I’ve tried: I created a formula field to convert the time to EST using SET_TIMEZONE, and also tried A single-line text field that gets updated by a separate automation But when I try to include either of those fields in the grid, the grid shows the correct number of records, but all the cells are blank.Has anyone figured out a way to include times in the correct time zone (EST) inside a grid in an Airtable automation email? Would appreciate any tips!

Hello Airtable community, not sure it is possible, but Gemini says it is)) but when Gemini gives me the sample script and I adjust it and try to use it, it does not work. Here is what I am trying to do. I have a record (contacts database) where I have a multiple select “Status” for this record. And I have another multiple select “Services” with let’s say “Option A”, “Option B”, “Option C” and “Option D”.When I choose the option “Available” in this multiple select “Status”, I want to the script or automation to limit the options shown in the field “Services”. For example when “Status” is choosen for “Available”, my field “Services” will only display “Option B” and Option D” as an available options to choose from.Anyone thinks you can help me with some advise?

Can someone help with the coding of a script that converts the contents of attached .TXT files to a long Text filed?We have an attachment field [TXT] that contains one text file per field. We wonder if it is possible to copy the contents of each text file to a long text filed?I have see some notes on it, but we need scripting help to achieve it.Thanks for any advice.Kevin

Hello,  I am currently trying to send an Airtable automation where it bulk emails people from a table. However, I am in the ‘To’ section to send an email, but I can’t find an option under ‘Current item from List of records’ that has just a general statement of ‘Applicant Email’. Currently, it’s showing a specific Applicant Email, but I want to send more than this person. This is also happening for the message when I am trying to include their names. I’ve attached one of the screenshots as a reference.  Can someone help me resolve this issue please? 

Hey All,I am trying to add a button to an interface which will simply duplicate the existing record the interface is looking at.  The Interface is a quote builder and we often want to make different iterations of a quote for a customer.  I know we can simply go to the grid view, find the record, right click and duplicate the record, but I am trying to not give my sales team access to that level of data.  You know how sales teams are.  😉 I imagine a script of some sort would work, but I'm more of a no-code guy, so I'm looking for some help.  Thank you for your time.

Hello, I help run a nonprofit that has a mentoring program where both mentors and mentees apply and then we make matches between them, and this is the first year we’re using Airtable to help power this.I have two tables within the same base: one for mentors, who have filled out a form and indicated topics that they are interested in mentoring, and then another for mentees, who filled out a different form and indicated topics they would like to be mentored on. Both “topics” fields have the same list that fills in a multiselect field.I have a junction table (“Match”) setup to be able to link mentor+mentee, but I’m running into a lot of difficulties automating the process.Ideally, here’s what I’d like:An automation that goes through every entry in the Mentor list, and then for each Mentor, adds every potential Mentee match to the junction table if any topic matches, and A field for each match in the junction table that tells us how many topics match, so for instance we can manually review

I am trying to implement a notification to go out to my team via Slack whenever a particular sentence text (named "Changes") is updated via Airtable. This is how I have it set up:1. Trigger Type: When record updated2. Table: Log-in3. View: (none selected, watching all views)4. Fields: ChangesSo the automation is watching only the Changes field.  Now, whenever an update is made, the automation is sending a notification several times, once for every few letters typed. I want it to send only when the team member typing leaves the field after making a change. Is this possible. 

How do I duplicate records with Create Automation but not linked to original record?This is for purposes of taking Project Schedule snapshots and currently the data in the new table where the records are getting created, remains linked to the original data.This means the data which I want to be a snapshot is getting updated when changes are made to the original data. 

I have a column of numbers. I would like to be able to press a button on an interface and set all values in that column for all rows to zero using a button automation trigger.  Could someone please give a step by step guide?I can create an interface button linked to a record picker that updates the values one at a time… but that is quite tedious.  Please advise, thank you! 

I need to create an email automation (preferred) or design a page that displays information similar to an invoice.Example data:Person Janice Joe Jill Jerry Jess  Pay $100   $120 $60    Joe and Jess have blank values for Pay because they weren’t involved in this project. I’m able to use an automation to blast out an email to all people involved (Jance, Jill, and Jerry) because a separate field lists them, but I don’t need to actually display the empty records for Joe and Jess within the email content itself. And in real life, I’ve got over a dozen people and only 2-5 that I need to list in an email at any time.Essentially, I need to find a way to setup the email within the automation to only display specific fields if they have values. Alternatively, if there is a way to do this within Page Designer, I could just generate a PDF and manually send it to Janice, Jill, and Jerry. Ideas?

I have a send email automation set up to email purchase orders to people in the company. I have a department correspondant cc'd on the email based on the department of the purchase order. When I received the email both my name was in the "to" email and the "cc" part of the email.Only the person in the company should be on the "to" part of the email the department correspondent should only be on the "cc" part of the emailThe department correspondent was on the cc and to part of the email but the airtable settings only have the department correspondent on the "cc" of the email automation 

I've set up a very basic automation: Trigger=when a form is submitted; Action=Google Sheets: Append a new row to a spreadsheet. The automation is working correctly, EXCEPT for the fact that the new row is appended at the TOP of the spreadsheet (i.e., row 1, above the header row) instead of at the bottom of the spreadsheet (i.e., under existing rows of data). Is there a way to specify that new rows should be appended at the bottom, below existing rows?Thanks! Heidi

Hello, I am working with inventory management database. I have two different tables where both have unique UPCs and a status selection. I am creating a third table that will only display products from both tables that are ready for sale i.e status is “Listed”. I have created an automation that checks when status is changed to “listed” then find if that UPC doesn’t exist in product table then create a new field with that UPC. I run into duplicate entry problem. *** when I change a product to listed it will pop up in products list which is what I want but when I change the status to something else and then change it back to “listed” it will create a duplicate field which is not what I expect.***  No matter who much I played around with different conditions and values in find section of automation I still couldn’t figure it out. 

Hi all - wondering if anyone can help because I’m struggling! I used Airtable to track customers and business opportunities through two linked tables. Within business opportunities, each potential deal is categorised to a stage (via single select) - either Early Lead, Qualified Lead, Proposal Submitted, Pitching, Closed - Won or Closed - Lost).I can link the tables so that ALL opportunities are attached together, but what I would ideally like is to have a section / field in the Customer record for Current Opportunties (Stage = Lead / Qualified / Proposal Submitted) and Past Opportunties (Stage = Closed - Won or Closed - Lost).I understand that I could link automatically and filter the possible selections based on the Stage but what I want is for that categorisation to happen automatically.Any ideas? I’ve tried (and failed) to come up with an automation to do it!Hanna

I have an Airtable Business account and Enterprise license for Salesforce Data Cloud. Data cloud has a beta connector to airtable, but I have been unable to get them to work. Here is the information the Salesforce connector asks for:I have no idea how to get the schema that is being asked for. Also, it asks for a private access token or OAuth. I am at a loss on how to set this up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to connect my airtable to Salesforce because there are things that are much easier to add to airtable than Salesforce, but that I need to get into Salesforce for use elsewhere.

I have a parent table with a bunch of linked children.On the parent table, I need to be able to click a check box, which will give the user a 30-minute grace period before the record is “Frozen” (it will move out of an interface section and into another one). The children will then move into a view that will sync it to another base, where automation will create a CSV and upload it to a server somewhere.  My thinking was to have a last modified filed field keep track on when the check box was clicked and then add 30 min to that and then let that determine the rest.However I’ve now been looking into the NOW() and it seems quite unreliable for things to do with precision and filtering records into a view to be synced to another base, is also an issue as the date time will only allow me to filter days, but not use time.  I can see how this could potentially be solved with a fairly expensive automation setup, where automation constantly looks for updates when the user clicks the check box.

I have a table called table2 which is filled in with a form, and I don’t want the users to have to fill in all their user information every time they use the form.  So, I enabled ‘see who submitted response’ and created an automation which on form submission attempts to match the submitter’s email to an email in the user’s table, which is then copied into a linked email field in table2.  This allowed me to filter the list of entries via the form so users only see their own entries.   However, other linked fields in table 2 do not autopopulate. I was hoping when the automation filled in the email address in the linked field of table 2, all the other linked fields would populate.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? 

I have an automation that sends students an email thanking them for being a part of a short-term trip with the school and I was wondering if Airtable or an extension that I do not know of, could track the engagement of the student on if they opened the email, or if they clicked on a link, etc. I want to make sure that the email is the most optimized to get the most survey responses possible!

I am running into a wall with this automation, hoping someone knows what I’m doing wrong. When a record in my Events table matches a condition, I am trying to build a Find a Record automation that finds a record in my Main Directory table where email in Main Directory is email in Events. I am getting an invalid filter error on my email field. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here. Ultimately I would like to update the retrieved record with data from Events, but I can’t get beyond the filter error.

I’m currently experiencing a service issue where scripts are just showing “In Progress...” and not completing.  Other automations are working fine.  I have two scripts that call external services, I’ve verified that both services are working properly.  I’ve restarted the automation.  Ive re-ran a run that was successful earlier today, and that one is in progress.  There seems to be an issue on the Airtable side...

For some reason, ALL of my automations across ALL of my bases are stalling on the Scripting Block step and I don’t know why… I’m pretty sure this is an Airtable outage issue, but I’m curious if others are also seeing the same thing.  I’ve tried contacting Airtable support and it seems to go nowhere… super frustrated...

Anyone else seeing this? On the simplest scripts, like ```console.log(‘hello world’);```I’m getting a “Running...” in tests until it times out, no errors or console logs whatsoever. Scripts that have been working for years are all of a sudden not functioning.

Hey all, I am building a base for live event production and I have run into a road block. In the interface I have a button to upload csv files for client info and needs. The button just goes to the URL for the extension in full screen. Because of the computer literacy of some of my co workers I need to make things as simple as possible. When duplicating the base for a new event, is there an automation or script that can update the new URL. I have a table called URLs that feeds the button. Thank you  

I am currently on the Team Plan. The first day I created my webhook trigger automations they worked fine. Now they will only work and create a new record if I manually click on “Run Test”. Automation is turned on and webhook is triggering. Am I missing a setting?
