I’ve added sections to my automation list which helps a bit but ultimately end up clicking into each automation which is really annoying (as is this forum upgrade?)As a user, I cannot find automations that I’ve previously created because I do not have a search bar. I want to be able to quickly locate the automation I’m interested in without  As a user, I want to be able to expand the width of the automation list in order to view the whole list. This will help me avoid creating unnecessary automations and to understand what I’m looking at. As a user, I want to be able to see the complete name of the automation so that I can continue to use the naming convention we’ve established. (I can neither expand the frame with the names of the automations nor see them when I hover over the automation.) And because this forum post was so difficult to make,

I have a make.com scenario that populates videos from Google Drive to a table. I’m trying to create an automation in Airtable that takes all of the data from that original record, and simply creates a new record in a different table with that same data.Ex. Record goes into Table 1 > Automation Triggered > Same record goes into Table 2 Should be absurdly basic, but I keep running into an issue with the video attachment field when trying to test the automation.I’ve tried every single type of data from the video column. Same error every time.I don’t understand how this is so difficult lol I’ve literally tried every type of data… the base/table structure and just choosing the video field ID, and then every form of data within that specific field as displayed above.The error I’m getting Structure of Data I’m trying to pull from Record 1 - to create in Record 2 

Hello,on calender view i want to default to 30 min records shown on calender at present it is 60 mins by default.I have been trying to create a script and automation that will fill an end date and time field automatically to 30 mins after the appointment date field has been updated and then using thsi end date and time field to set this as the end of the appointmentANyone any ideas how to do this??  

Hi everyone,I could use some advice on setting up an automation for a project I'm working on.I have an Airtable base structured like this: A Rooms table (corridor, toilet, kitchen, etc.) A Products table A Proposal table A Line Items table where I create the Proposal Items which is linked to the other tables. Each product has a payback calculation (e.g., how long it takes to pay for itself) What I'm trying to achieve is to automate the creation of a graph for each job that: Plots Rooms on the X-axis and Payback Time on the Y-axis, showing all relevant products linked to that job. Either: a) Automatically generates this graph and uploads it as an image attachment back into the respective Job record in Airtable — OR — b) Exports the necessary data to another 3rd party tool (e.g., Google Slides, Canva, or similar) to generate the full proposal externally, and then uploads the final proposal document or image back into the Job record. I'm not sure which approach is more feasible

Is there a way for tables data to clear at a certain time each day automatically?

 Hi there,I use airtable in my network of retail stores. I have a form where people make various requests, and I have added a drop down field to select the Area Manager associated with that store. This field has been setup as a table with a list of the Area Managers names, and an email field.I am trying to setup a new automation where it sends an email to the selected Area Manager to notify them of the request. I am having trouble getting the right setting for the ‘To’ field. Initially I set it to select the email field of the Area Manager table. But doing this populates the ‘To’ line with a Field ID number, and returns an error saying this is not a valid email address. Can anyone guide me on where I am going wrong? I have only used an email action in the past on a static email address, I have never set one up to use a dynamic email address like this.Thanks in advance. Images below as reference.

I have a table with all our employees along with their start date, their manager, and their manager’s email. I want to send a monthly email on the 1st of the month to each manager separately that will list if they have any employees that will be reaching a milestone that month (30-day, 60-day, 90-day, anniversary, etc). So far, I have the automation set up so that the trigger is at a scheduled time, the action is finding records who are managers, but then what I can’t figure out is how to send separate emails per manager that ONLY lists their own employees and not any other managers’ employees. Is there a way to do this without having to manually set up an automation for each manager?

In automations triggered by a webhook, is it possible to use the same webhook/automation with different data payload structures? For example, if I’m importing data from 2 different forms with different JSON properties, can I then use conditional logic in the automation to parse the data differently? I know when you test the webhook trigger, it lists the properties, but could you bypass it to handle variations?

I'd like to: Identify fields with duplicate values Keep only the most recently created record, deleting all other duplicate older records Run the process and be done However, I also want this to apply automatically to newly created records. That is, whenever a new record is added with a duplicate value in a specified field, the new record should be kept, and the older one deleted.The field with duplicate values that I want to identify is called Deviceid, and I have createdtime field.The solution in the linked thread only handles existing records—it doesn’t account for new ones added later. My company publishes books and the titles of the books often change throughout the course of the publication process. We currently ingest records via a CSV download from our title management platform that is manually uploaded to Airtable. We already have an automation that deletes or rolls up duplicate titles. Currently, when a book title changes, it is viewed by Airtable as a new record. Is there a way to have Airtable check the upload and see that the ISBN is the same and update the record title rather than create a new record? Example: Title ISBN ORIGINAL TITLE 123 NEW TITLE 123  Instead of creating a new record for “NEW TITLE”, I would like Airtable to see that the ISBN is the same and update “ORIGINAL TITLE” with “NEW TITLE”.  Thanks!

Hello! I am trying to set up a work request form, and am stuck on one part. I’m not sure whether I need to use formulas or automations, but I’ve scoured help videos and articles to no avail trying to find what I’m looking for. I would like to have a numerical Work Order ID (basically a consecutive numerical number) added to a record field as soon as the record is created. Ideally, I’d love for it to take this form (Year-####), as that’s the current system we use, but I’d settle for just a unique numerical number for each new record created. I’m sure this is simpler than I’m making it out to be, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks in advance for any help but I am stumped. I am trying to automate updating a multi-select field from a Linked Record Field, and after looking for help here I found this thread: I followed the guidelines here but I am running into an issue with a completely different field. When I test, I get this: I am not sure why it is trying to do anything with the photo field :(Long story short, I want when someone is added to this department on one table, for their profile to be updated as well, with the matching department name on the multi-select field. Here is the way I set the automation:TriggerAction 

I am trying to create an automation to tag Donors as recurring when they make a donation that has a recurrence of more than 1. One table has Donors, and the other has Donations and a field called “Recurrence Number.” I tried to set it up so that when a donation record enters the view “recurring” (because the donation has a recurrence number higher than 1) the Donor in the linked record field has a field updated to tag them as a “recurring donor.” But i keep getting the error “the record does not exist and am not sure why.

I’m trying to create an automation that is basically:If publish date is yesterday and status is not ‘published’ then the publish date updates to today.  I saw some people mentioning creating a TODAY() formula field and using that as a dynamic trigger. Questions with this:How will this field affect already existing records?  What needs to be added between the parentheses of the TODAY() formula?

I've been trying to find out what counts towards my automation run; however, either I can't find it, or I'm constantly overlooking the something.Basically I just want to have a solid grasp on what adds towards my automation limit?Is it just counted every time an automation runs?Does steps in the automation also count?Does loops count as one or multiple runs?

I'm experiencing issues with error notifications in automations. Notifications have been disabled for all accounts, yet some accounts are still receiving them.Is there a setting that overrides the user's notification preferences in their interface?

All,I am trying to create a simple automation that for some reason, wont work.   On my “Trips” table I have a date submitted field.  When this field is populated, I want all the corresponding expenses that are listed on the “Receipt Log” table to be updated with a submission date.  I created a view on my Trips table to show all records that have the date submitted field populated and I use that view as my trigger.  I then do a “Find Records” action that shows all the expenses that have the same “trip name” as the trips in the view.  The find records is working perfectly. I then created an Update Record action and using the Airtable Record ID from the Find Records.  But when I test this action out, it continues to fail saying “invalid input”.  I can’t figure out why. Appreciate any suggestions,Kevin

Hi Airtable Community, I’m attempting to send an email every time a new record is created. The message of the email should include the contents of every field that has data in that new record. Our fields are added to regularly, and I do not want to edit the automation every single time a new field is added to our table.  Is there already a known solution to this, that will automatically include all fields with data in the message of the email without pre-coding the specific field into the automation?  Thank you,Danny

Hello everyone, I have a pretty specific question form a form I want to have connected to my site. So I want to have a contact form on my website that is kindoff a two step process. First step is the user inputs their name, number and address of the property. Once the user inputs this info and clicks get a quote, it will take them to the second part of the form where they input just a couple more details.Ideally what I want to happen is this:If the user completes the first step but upon moving to the second step decides not to complete it because of time it would take to fill out, I still would like the info that he submitted in the first step to be submitted to airtable. Is it possible to do this? 

Hi,I am having an issue using automations and having a message sent in Slack as the final step. I have a formula that looks to an estimate and creates a budget off of that number. I then want to take the data from that field and enter it into a slack message. The problem I am having is the number I am using from the field ( as an example) is 75.6. It is being output from the Slack automtion as 75.61953142857142. No matter how it gets formatted in the formula cell (i.e. with no decimal points, ROUND formulas, etc. the long number always gets output from the Slack message. Is this an inherent flaw in the automations or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help in advance.  

I’m an airtable newbie. I’m building a base for planning production (live events) for the AV company I work for. One of the things I need to track is our pre show, show, and post show milestones in the planning process. The time frame is based on when we are loading in gear for the event. I need to make an automation that will take the load-in date and subtract 30 days for pre-show items, stay the same date for show items, and add 14 days for post show items. I have the pre, show, and post as a single select. Any and all help would be appreciated 

I'm using the Outlook automation "When a new email is received" for the first time. However, it's not allowing me to pull the Sender. The Sender is grayed out (see image), and when I hover over it, it says, "No valid nested options."Has anyone seen this before? Do you have any idea how to fix it so it will pull the Sender into the newly created record?
