I need to rig up a button that can export a row of data and download it as en Excel file to a local computer.I assume I'll be able to use Make and Webhook for this. However, the Excel file should have a certain layout. Fx an image placed in a certain place as an image, and certain fields should be placed in different places in the Excel file. So a bit like the page designer, but instead of a printout or .pdf it should be an Excel file.Is this at all possible, and/or has anyone experience with something similar?
I'm working on a small Airtable automation to track monthly utility expenses by pulling data from a regional electricity provider’s site — the fesco online bill system. The challenge is that the site often loads slowly or becomes unresponsive, especially in the evenings.Has anyone dealt with similar issues when pulling data from sites that don’t have public APIs and aren't always stable? I’ve tried simple fetch scripts and automation tools, but they tend to fail unpredictably.Would appreciate suggestions on how to handle unreliable external sources in automations, or even alternative approaches like manual syncing that aren’t too time-consuming.Thanks in advance!
Hi! I wanted to ask, if there is an automation for following up on unanswered e-mails? We are tracking our leads with airtable, and if someone doesn’t respond to our first mail, that we send out an automatic follow up E-Mail? Looking forward to your help!
Hello, I would like to know if there is any option to schedule email in the Automations area. My idea is to schedule a follow up for a lead 2 days after I change it’s status to “In Negotiations”.
I am trying to run a script through a button triggered automation, but I am running into an error for exceeding the time limit of 30 seconds for execution. Is there a way that I can get around this so I can run the script?I have heard that people have been running the scripts in batches, however, I am not too sure how people are doing this as I cannot find an tutorials on how to work it into the automation. Any ideas?
I’m trying to identify where a record has an expiration date and send an email identifying that record.I can automate an email that recognizes the expired date but can’t find a way to attach/send the identity of that record. I have a log (record from a table) and the entries have a field “expiration date”. My automation finds that record and sends an email that a record has expired. I need a way for it to not only do that but identify what record that expired (separate field). Is there a way to do that?
I ran into Airtable’s row limits and pricing walls, so I built a free browser-based tool that lets you export full bases — including tables, links, and attachments — into a clean ZIP file.No data ever leaves your browser. No account required. You can try it here if you're curious: https://ar.konanx.comWould love any feedback or ideas for what to add next — especially if you’ve had similar Airtable pains.
I am trying to set up specific filters after a user clicks a button to visit an interface page. It seems that there is no native way to do this given the options airtable gives you,. It also seems like there is no way to add url parameters to an http address but I thought it might be possible to just do this using url parameters and a http page.Maybe there is a way to do this with a script? I’d have to figure out what the parameter values for the filter are, and then also have some way to redirect to a new page which might not be possible in the airtable scripting environment.
I have a script that is using a repeating group to batch process a couple of records sent through output.set() If one of the scripts fails it doesn’t seem to register that error in the overall automation. See image below, individual script failed, overall automation is giving me the green light. I noticed that the script wasn’t behaving correctly on some records but having the script not throw errors is potentially dangerous as problems stay hidden.
Hello appreciate the community’s help here. I am uploading a CSV file on a weekly basis (the data is from application form submissions on google form). So every week I am getting new applications in. I uploaded last week matched the fields and all was good. I even started reviewing and syncing some applications on the airtable base. I had 10 applications last week. This week I got 17 more. So I downloaded CSV file (business as usual). I went to airtable and uploaded and suddenly i realize it created 27 new records. I proceed and on the base I find 10 old records + 17 new records (out of which 10 are duplicates from the old upload). How can I prevent this from happening, appreciate your support.
HI there - I’m about to pull my hair out and have been trying to figure this automation out for several hours now. I have a table called “Field Enrollment” where I am tracking “Producers” with their unique farm #, tract #, and field #. I have a concatenate formula to give me “Farm Key” which is Producer & Farm. I have a second table called “Producer Enrollment” that I want to be auto populated by the Farm Key. However, there are cases like in my example where there are duplicate Farm Keys and I only want the one. (A bit more context: In Field Enrollment we are required to track data related to the unique Farm/Tract/Field. In Producer Enrollment, we are required to track other types of data related to the TOTAL farm, so essentially a roll -up from Field Enrollment.) How do I create the unique record?! Example Field Enrollment table: Example Producer Enrollment table: Here’s the automation I thought would work and is saying is working (but it’s not)
hi there. Ive been trying to setup automation emails and links were showing as hyperlinks in the beginning as I was testing, but now have stopped showing Please advise.
Hello, I’m trying to add a link to my automation, but nothing appears when I add the field even when using parenthesis. Could the fact that the url field/column is a formula link be the reason why the link does not appear in the automation? Left is the column/url i’d like to pull in & the right window is the automation I am trying to set up. tyia!
I ran into a strange problem in an automation.I am using a script to gather some data from two tables and combine it into a rich-text field. In the next step, I send out an e-mail with the content of this field. Turns out the e-mail is sent before the script has updated the text field!Even adding a 3 second delay in the script does not solve the issue.Curious if someone has a solution in place?Thank you!
Hey guys,Is there any plans to make it so that when someone copies a base from a public share link, that the automations also get copied across?I create a bunch of systems and templates for people to try and get them in to using Airtable but this is big limitation when it comes to offering these types of solutions as the automations are really a big part of any system. Is this going to be possible at any point or is there a good workaround at all?
Hi all,Have been scouring the web, AirTable support and various AI platforms to get an answer to this, but no joy so far. I am trying to set up automation to sync changes between Google Calendar and Airtable, including updates and deletions. AirTable support instructed me to set up triggers for new events, updated events and cancelled events. I am doing this on an empty table at the moment just to test it out. However, I am hitting a bit of a brick wall with the Updated Events automation. I believe I have the Find records action set up OK, see screenshot below (although when I test the step at that stage, it says Found 0 Records but I guess this is because the table is empty currently...)My screenshot: Find records menu Where I’m really getting lost is with the Update record part. According to AirTable Support, “the ID of the action that gets the information to be used goes in Record ID, and should look like the below. “This is because this Integrated Trigger is not directly related to
Hello. My time zone is Israel.I defined the time zone of Israel in the Date and Time field. But when I run formulas or automation on it, it refers to the registered time, as if it were GMT/UTC and this disrupts all my automations. Is there a solution for this?
I have an automation set up with an Outlook email action that runs into errors after sending 25 emails successfully. When I run it at least 24 hours later, it will send another 25 emails. However I keep having to push the rest of the records that need emails sent to the following day. What is the term for this specific limit I’m running into with Outlook’s integration? Is there a way around it or to disable it?
Trying to create a automation. I want to have it when a occurrence is created, it will get a count, with date, and filter by user. And if criteria is met, it will send a email? Prefer not script has i dont have team right now
Hey all,I would like to generate a document using a template that uses formulas to change the data in that document, and then attach that to a contract (populated with information from Airtable also) which is then sent for e-signature.Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?
I am trying to create a automation when record is updated. and column is delete reason is filled out, I want it to update 3 fields... Active to unchecked, remove by date to current and removed_by to user to logged in user... but it fails. Could you help?
Hi all, Sadly, when tagging @yourself, you do not get an email notification from Airtable. I was hoping to solve this with an automation. However, I am struggling to set up a trigger that can detect a comment, and further detect a comment where the user tags themselves. Does anyone have any experience with setting up email notifications when a user tags themselves? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Is there a way to add the description from asana card to be sent via script to airtable. I have a full script which is pulling fields but it wont pull the description
My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users. For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original. Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users.Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.
Hi all, I am new to Airtable and would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Here is my use case:I manage freezer inventory for a small family business. They bring it food items, vacuum seal them and place them in freezers. The issue is, no one can remember what or how many of any specific item is in the freezers.I would love to be able to create an item tracking system for them in Airtable. For entry, I would like a form that they simply enter an item description. Once submitted, an item number pops up that can be written on the item. (Ideally, if there was a way for it to print a barcode on a computer attached Brother PTouch label maker, that would be incredible). But either way, after an item is entered, it provides an item number, checks the item in as “in freezer” and adds a date. For removal, I want it to be extremely simple. When a staff member pulls something from the freezer, I would ideally have an ipad with a barcode scanner. When the item is pulled, th
