Hi,I am running network managing research participants for my organization. They have two options for signing up, which are in separate tables. One is the 'Full Sign Up', which is in my main participant table, where I am linking other information not related to the form. The other is a 'Sign Up Later' form, used when recruiting partipants who don't have time for the full form (fx in person at a conference). They sign up with their name and email and I have created an automation to send out a link with full form. I'd like to create an automation that sends out a reminder email those who have completed the 'Sign Up Later' form, but not completed the 'Full Sign Up' form, to do so. This means I need an automation that removes those who have completed the 'Full Sign Up' form, from the 'Sign Up Later' table, but I am unsure how to do that, since the tables are not linked.  Any help is appreciated 🙂

Is there a way to have the Google Doc automation create documents from a pre-existing template? I want to set up the new automation to generate letters, however, I need them to have a specific header and footer. If there was a functionality to select a template that would be great. But if anyone knows of a way to generate that on Google’s App Script end that would be super helpful!

I am trying to automate a repetitive task to save time for my team, and I'm stuck.Here is what I need this process to look like:Student completes post-course survey (via Airtable form)Data from form populates in Airtable baseData in base is used to create a PDF certificate using Page Designer (native Airtable extension)Automation emails PDF to student to email provided in form.i have figured out how to do everyting above EXCEPT the last step, and I just don't know how to program an automation to send an email with an attachment from page designer based on a record.Please note that I am using an enterprise version of Airtable and ALL third party extensions are disabled. That is non-negotiable, unfortunately.Is there anyone who can help me figure out how to do that last step?Thanks in advance!Jennifer 

I have a form using Fillout that accepts submissions of repair service requests. The results populate a dedicated table and I use an automation to distribute the response data among multiple other tables, such as People and Repairs.When someone submits a request, part of the automation looks to see if the same first name–email address pair exists on a record in the People table. If so, it creates a Repair record and attaches the existing Person record as requestor. Otherwise, it creates a new Person record, then a Repair record, and attaches the new Person record as the requestor.Currently, first part of this is not working at all. It fails tests, logging "Could not find matching rows for string." How can I troubleshoot this?Additionally, when the automation does work, it correctly fills the new Repair record with the existing Person but also removes this Person association from any prior Repairs connected to them. I can't figure out why it does this.How

I have created some automation emails that include a link back to view an interface record, where someone can edit and update it, I have the email set up using the "page record URL" under the "Insert a link" dropdown in the Message box of the automation email.It was all working fine up until the beginning of this year, now when you click the link in the email, it brings me to the interface, but not to the exact record. Furthermore it brings me to the interface and all the information is greyed out, if I physically go into the interface and find the record from there it works fine. But I need it to link directly to the record, which it was doing earlier, and I didn't change anything and it stopped working, for all my bases and interfaces. I've tried on multiple devices and I get the same issue. Wonder if anyone else is having this issue. 

I've created a task list. When 'Done" is clicked, the "Date Completed" is updated and the "Next Due" is updated based on a formula dependent on the 'Freq'. All this works fine.I then have an automation that runs to create a new record with a 'Due' date populated with the previous records 'Next Due'The automation runs fine except in the evenings where it adds a day? During the day it is fine. You an see in the attached, "IG New Messages" was clicked 'Done" on 1/10, 'Date Completed' was 1/10, 'Next Due' was 1/11 but then the automation changed the new records 'Due' to 1/12It is like there is a time zone issue somewhere but I can't figure it out so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys,As of now, I use both filtering views and conditions on records as automation triggers. But in your opinion, is there some best practice to follow on that topic? I assume there must be some pros and cons to both options. I’d be curious get the take from experts out there.Thanks for your help.

Context: I am a trader and I have a base that tracks trades that I take. I can take many trades on one day. I am attempting to create daily reports for myself, and have created an automation to add trade to my daily report. However, whenever I add a new trade (record created) and the automation runs, it deletes any other trades previously added to that day. Anyone know what I should look at to fix?

I have a table with records with two fields, 'Start Time', and 'End Time'. Both of these are date fields, and need to remain date fields, i.e. they can't become formula fields.The issue is that if 'Start Time' is changed, e.g. I change the day, the 'End Time' field does not update. Is there are way to ensure that the 'End Time' field shifts relative to the 'Start Time' field? Importantly, I don't want this to happen in reverse, e.g. the 'Start Time' field should remain where it is when the 'End Time' field is changed.Hope that all makes sense,Andy

I am fairly new to airtable and have gone back and forth on whether this is an automation or a formula. I would like to create a field where when two conditions are met, it auto numbers. For example, when records have the same "created date" and "account name" this field would auto-number. If there are no records with matching "created date" and "account name" then it would auto-number to 1.   

Greetings, Airtable community!I wanted to reach out to ask for your ideas and assistance with a road block I ran into:I have a Fillout "SignUp" Form that allows clients to schedule themselves for an appointment at the specific appointment time they choose. I've successfully customized Fillout form to show ONLY "unfilled" appointments (based on an Airtable view) when the client loads the form.The problem is that if 3 people load the form at the same time, then they can all 3 "Sign Up" for the exact same appointment. Since they all loaded the form at the same time they have the same options given from Airtable. And since the form doesn't update in "real time" unless they refresh the page, then there's no way to keep them from all 3 selecting the same Appointment time.On the back end, this means I received 3 SignUps for the same appointment and a "Something Went Wrong..." email from Airtable. I have a project table and a client table. I need to use automations to have the client related information auto populate into the projects table. I have created a very basic example to show what I am trying to do but the real situation is way more complex with hundreds of rows and we are unable to use the linked field type to do this without a huge amount of effort. Since the client name is a common and unique value between both tables my understanding is there is a way to use automation to populate the information in the project table with the corresponding information (Notes and Status) from the Client table. The Trigger and Find Records action do as I expect but I keep getting an error with the Update record action and am unsure of what to do to fix this issue.

I haven't been able to figure out how to pick a specific value from a synced field when I have a form submitted.  (Aka I want to set several fields specific values)I have a form that I have created for adding a new event for the Virtual event team.  Since I know several of the standard fields, I am auto populating them on submission; The Program Team (HHH) TIJP Type - Program.But I can't get any values for State to show.  It is a Linked Field from the Sync table (States)in the Events Base.  What am I missing here to get the value like I have in the two other fields to populate on submission?  &nbs

Hello! I have been using Airtable for a long time, with a Zapier integration, and ran into some issues recently that I hope someone can help me solve. I am using Airtable to collect appointments. The client's appointment time triggers Zapier to send an email reminder the day before at 9am.  This happens when the appointment moves into the "Reminded" view, using the filter to only show appointments that are scheduled for tomorrow. Since this would trigger to send the email at midnight the day before, I had to add a delay of 9 hours, to make this properly send in Zapier at 9am. Essentially, the day before an appointment at 9am, I want to send an email to the appointment subject to remind them.This worked properly for a couple of years, but suddenly the emails would go out all different times. I investigated this, and found that Airtable moving appointments into the view at inconsistent times were likely the culprit. That said, I want to bu

Hi.  It's my first day. I'm trying to create a maintenance log for my laundromat. I created a base with the following tables: Washers, Dryers, Maintenance Requests.  The Maintenance Request table is populated by a form I created for my staff to request maintenance. On it I created a field called 'Machine Type' where you select washer or dryer. The next field is 'Machine ID' and if you select washer under 'Machine Type' I'd like it to give a drop down menu showing the Machine ID's from the 'Washers' table and if you select 'Dryer' I'd like it to pull the machine ID's from the 'Dryers' table.  Can I do this?

I would like to set up an automation so that every Monday at 7am, any checks under my "completed this week" checkbox field will reset and be unchecked again. How can I do this? I have tried a few things and continue to get input errors. Step-by-step instructions (As I am a beginner!) would be very helpful. Thank you SO much!   

I am trying to learn to use automations to update 2 summary tables so I do not have to keep copying and pasting every time I update a table.Table for new record:  Donations.  Summary Table: Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report.The two table are linked by the Donation Date primary field in the Donations table. The summary table linked field is called Donation Table.Let me summarize what I think I need to do to accomplish this. I need to create a trigger that says When a Record is Created in the Donations table. This tests fine.Then when I create that record in the donations table I need to have an action happen. I have chosen the Update Record in the action. That action is to update the Donation Totals Yearly Summary Report table/Donation Table field with the contents of the Donation Date field in the Donations table. To do that I need to choose the Update record

Just yesterday my automation set up to send a text out through Twilio stopped finding the phone number and putting it in the TO field (see image).Here is what I have already tried:I verified that the user had a number in the field of the failed automation. I made a new field that added the Country code to the phone number and selected that field value (at least I think since I didn't see the "Value" image appear where the last one was.I don't know what else to try. Hi all,Firstly, apologies if this has been asked / answered before, I had a search through and couldn't find it.I'd like to import a number from an external website and automatically update it when it changes.  Also would I need their permission for this?The website is transfermarkt.com it gives an estimated market value for individual football / soccer players.  I have a database of players, and I'd like the estimated value for each one in a column.Is this possible?Many thanks in advance Barry

Hey all,I recently needed to switch an email automation from "Send email" to "Outlook email," to fix a spam filter problem. Previously, when it was being sent as "Send email," a link at the bottom of the email led all recipients to the record detail view of the submitted record on a particular interface - even though interface links are not currently insertable, and I had to assemble the link myself, it still worked fine.They look like this in the Automation message body, where the parenthetical is the inserted dynamic record ID:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/(AirtableRecordID) But now, with the Outlook email automation, the links are broken. Something in the chain is adding two BOM bytes into the link, so it goes to this link instead:https://airtable.com/appxxxxxxxxx/pagxxxxxxxxx/%uFEFF%uFEFFAirtableRecordID Is there a fix for this, or something I'm missing? I have created a fillout for a registration form. I have a table of people I am inviting, and would like add the fillout button to an email so that most information is pre-filled, and then the registration info updates in the existing line in the table.Please see below - the token is not working - either inserting a formula field or using the button field in the database.
