Hi All! So I have set up an automation that adds a tag to my "Status" column (which is a multiple select column) when a certain checkbox is ticked as true. The automation seems to run fine, BUT, it replaces any previous tags in the "Status" column that were there beforehand. Is there a way to prevent the new tag from replacing the previous tag and just adding a new one? I did do some research and it looks like in previous versions of Airtable, one could select "Append" in the action section of the automation set up, but that doesnt seem to be an option now? Anyone got any pointers for me please? x

Hey all, I currently have the pro plan and therefore have the limitation of 5000 unique email adresses per day for the “send email” automation. What would happen on a given day if I exceed this limit? Would it just fail until the next 24h period starts and therefore all the automation triggered above that limit will just fail? Would it go beyond the limit and let you off the hook with a warning? Would it start to eat your monthly limit (5000*31) until you reach it? Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Timo

Hi all,I'm working on moving my team's operations over to Airtable, and I'm trying to find a way to automatically compare records in different tables at the end of the month.  I'm pretty sure I'll need to use scripting, but I'm wondering if there's a no-code or low-code way to do this instead of fumbling my way through javascript with chatGPT. The use case is:I have a base (LIST1) that is a list of sites we operate at every month, and another base (LIST2) that is a junction table documenting our activities (joining other bases of staff, vehicles, sites, equipment, etc).  I'm trying to set up an automation that fires at the end of every month to see if there are any sites we didn't visit that month and if so add those to a third base (LIST3) as a new record for each 'missed' site. The plan is toFind all records from LIST1 that have the inspection interval "monthly" - I CAN DO THIS I CAN DO THIS - Find

Hi, I have an item status field the contains the values active, expired, and delete. in addition, I have another calculated field that contains the expiration date of the item. I want to set an automation that will run daily and change item status to expired when expiration_date < today(). I tried using the attached automation but it didnt change the status as I expected. 

Hi! I have a large existing google sheets I am trying to organize into Airtable. I own an events agency that books out talent for hundreds of events each month. This is a living document that is updated every day by people who fill out our form to book - this was a google form that dropped down into a google doc, but Airtable seems much more user friendly. I want the rows to automatically drop into date & event start time order with an AM/PM format. My current information has the date, start time & end time in separate columns but the Airtable automation has date/time within one field. Is there a way to merge this so my existing data can format without me having to re-input hundreds of upcoming events into a new spreadsheet? Screenshots of my Google Sheets spreadsheet & how it imported into Airtable. Thanks! 

Hi Yall!! So I am tying to add in an automation that uses a check box being marked as "true" as a trigger in TABLE 1 to add one of my multiple select options in TABLE 2.  An example of how I would need it to work: Table 1: Check box is marked as "Checked/True"Automation kicks inTable 2: one of the multiple selectable items in the column I need to select is added Trigger: Checkbox is checked in Table 1Action: Tag is added in Table 2 Is it possible to add in automations that work across multiple tables?  Any idea how I could build this automation? My main issue is coming into selecting the correct record ID?  Any help would be seriously appreciated! Thank you!  

Hi,Is there a way to either add a global bcc address to Gmail mail sending in automations, or a way to batch update them?Soon moving to production with an Airtable system, and would like to put myself as bcc in all outgoing emails for the first weeks or so for monitoring that everything looks as it should.Rgds,Björn

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I have a Serial Number (SN#) that is labeled "Locker Name". I want to make sure that the SN# is 7 Characters/Digits before finishing the automation as sometimes it get typed in wrong. the SN# format is NS01234 or NS00123. People leave off the 0's from time to time. i want to create a new record with this number in a new table. Linking is not option here. Here is what i am trying to do but i am getting this error: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length')at main on line 4     if (sn.length === 5) {       i guess i am asking how to get the Length of the value to read so that i can achieve this?? 

I am trying to generate an Invoice for line items in Airtable. New Google docs creation automation is very helpful but it lacks basic formatting functions. So, I use Microsoft Word module in Make but do not know what format I should use in this “Raw values” field. Could anyone please give me an example? I know this is not really a Airtable question but documentation on this module is quite limited. We use a webhook from Shopify to capture order data in Airtable. When the webhook comes in, we create a record in Airtable with pertinent order data. I want to parse out the line items in the order into another table for use in creating a packing slip. Here is sample data: Airtable - MA Test The Data table represents the data as it comes in from the webhook. The Desired Output table represents the ideal output. This is where I need help, creating an automation/script to parse out that data into new rows. Thanks for your help!

So we've set an Airtable Automation where every day at 12:00PM it sends an email digest to the project managers to show Rush or High Priority tasks that are due today or before today. I had one question:Is there a way to have the link of each task on the email? For instance, once we get those emails with the tasks due, it would be nice to have it where each task comes with the respective Airtable link that leads to the corresponding task right away. I've attached the screenshot of the current automation set. Hi AllHoping there's a simple solution for this: I have a table that is updated regularly with status changes, content changes and also linked records.I would like to send the users of the base a daily email at night that shows a grid of those records that have been updated that day. This way they will get a clear picture of what happened each day. Many other PM tools provide this automatically. This is not an email that is sent as soon as a change occurs but rather it will be a scheduled emails that contains ALL the records that were changed that day.Is this possible? Thanks very much!

Hello Community,I have a table with events and a linked table with needs for the events. Different needs can be assigned to each event. Each event and each need has a status. I would like that if all needs that are assigned to an event have the status "delivered" or "declined", that the status of the event changes to Needs processed.Does anyone have an idea how I can implement this?Best regardsMirko

I have two tables. The first is a item "types" as below...the second is a table of "details". Each row represents 1 item of the total number of that item type. Each row in the second table will have unique data, like an ID, a physical address and a QR code....If I add a new row in to table 1, with a qty of 20 units (in the Qty column), how can i automatically add that many rows to the second table, and link them to the dislay type from the first table?Thanks

I expect the trigger time in the action section to be the same as in the trigger section of the automation scheme. I've posted here before, but never was able to find a solution, thanks those who tried to help me though.  I've since recreated what I'm trying to do in hopes that it is simpler and can be done.  Here goes. Use Case: I have orders getting added to a table "Order Fulfillment" by Zapier.  The Course can be several different things "ITIL 4 Foundation, ITIL 4 Foundation w/TAKE2, etc".  What needs to happen is, when the order gets created into this table and I check the "Run Automation" checkbox, it needs to find the next available Voucher Code from the table Voucher Code and move the information in Voucher Code table to the Order Fulfillment table and update the record.  The Course is what should tell it which to match and use. Is this at all possible to do?

Hello,Something strange is happening in an automation that queries a view and sends it via Gmail as a table.I have configured two numeric fields that the only thing that changes is the format. In one I have it as a currency and in the other as a number.But the format to show in terms of separation of thousands and decimals is the same. The problem is that when I send the email from Gmail, it only keeps the format that I want to show correctly in the currency field, but not in the other one. Could it be a system error?

I have a Jotform that populates an airTable base.  If someone submits an exact duplicate form, I created a vew that shows ONLY those submissions that have duplicates.  I have a checkbox in that view that when I click it, it hides that entry from that view, and (Importantly), it hides the other submission because the two submissions are no longer exact duplicates. This works great.  What I am looking for is a way (automation) that will automatically click one of the two.One slight complication is that there can be 3 identical submissions and I want the automation to click the checkbox on all but one of the submissions. That one unchecked will still disappear from the view because it is no longer a duplicate.

Hi all -- I set up an automation to trigger a personalized email every time I click a checkbox in a table. I connected and reconnected my Google account, but am not receiving an email even though it says the test was successful.The email I'm trying to send *from* is my work email, if that makes any difference (wondering if our Google admin might have a security setting that would prevent from automated sending, but not trigger an error when testing).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday!Looking for a little bit of help. I have a record of emails in one table titled "Clients" and in another table labeled "Appointment History".For every time the status of an appointment is changed from "booked" to "completed", I want to send an email to the client for customer feedback. The current automation  I have essentially updates ALL statuses from Booked to Completed at Midnight. The issue I am running into (I think) is my record ID. For the "to" section under the "Send Email' Action.
