First: Is what I am attempting to do possible without custom implementation?Action attempted: To automate sending out calendar invitations to an event after a participant registers using an Airtable form. Issue: When I try to build the automation, I get stuck on the portion that asks me to select the Outlook Event ID. I assume this refers to the actual event on the Outlook Calendar, but when I try to scroll through the options, nothing shows up but existing Airtable fields. Screenshot attached. Am I missing something here? Thanks for any help in advance.
when i use zapier to my airtable when it is not positng the content in the correct row...just the correct field- using data fetcher to write a blog from the title then using zap to create a meta title---everything works except that when the value is returned from zapier it is posting under the intended cell. any help will be appreciated.
For context, I am building an email automation that is sent every work day (Monday-Friday). The email would display any of the task records that are due on that particular day that the email is sent out. My problem is that Airtable's scheduling timing trigger is limited to posting every single day. I would not like to send out an email on the weekend.I cannot use "When a record is updated" as a trigger as it would send an email for every single task record that is due today, whereas I am trying to send only one email a day. I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks!
Hello, I am making a special CRM. I have customer information (name, phone, address…) and with this information, I would like to fill a google doc (there are variables like {{name}} and they have to be replaced with airtable data ). I am used to javascript but I am a beginner in the API world. I have already tried that: I don’t know how I can tell my script to only use the data from the row where my checkbox is checked (and how to tell Airtable to run my google App script when the checkbox is checked. I wanted to try the Google web app and use webhook but I don’t know if airtable can send webhook or if I have to add it a special code). I would like to only use code and not an app like Zapier (for flexibility and because I am curious). Best regards.
I have some base level automations and table links created, but I am now experiencing difficulty creating further links.Three main tables: StudentsClass ListClass PriceCurrent links: Students to Class Lists. Class Lists table has hours per class. Based on classes students are put in (in Class Lists), it changes their total hours (in Students). On Students table there is a Roll Up that calculates total hours students are in based upon their Class List. Class Price table is connected (vaguely) to Students table, but establishing the correct link to make things work is not happening in my brain. I want to, based upon the Roll Up hours in Students table, have students automatically assigned to that specific number in the Class Prices table and/or have the dollar amount assigned to a total hours on the Class Prices table to be placed in the Students table, so it can easily be seen how much they own either monthly or by semester. So far, I can have it create a completely new record
I am trying to build a workflow for email verification for members when they join my database. The idea that when they complete the signup form it triggers an "email verification" email with a hyperlink. When the new member clicks on the hyperlink it (1) triggers an automation confirming email verification and registering that on the database and (2) send the user to a confirmation page.So I am wondering if there is a way to create a hyperlink that triggers an action/automation in Airtable. Any help appreciated.
I have an automation that when a certain field is met, a google calendar event is created spanning a week. The issue that I am running into is that the event is showing up as "busy" in my google calendar, which is preventing calls from getting booked into my calendar for the duration of that week. Is there a way to ensure that the status is set to "free" in the automation when creating this event?
I want to check Checking HTTP Status Code everyday in automation, how can I do that?
Hi there!I want to automatically export data from Airtable and create online files separated by managers. The data in those files should refresh daily. These files could be in the form of a Google Sheets or Excel online file.Does anyone know of any tools or solutions for this task? We have over 50 managers, and doing this task manually consumes a lot of time.Am I the only one who needs this kind of workflow? 🙂
I've prepared a snappy demo video which shows how to do this:https://youtu.be/ns0CjtM7fGoThe solution uses csvgetter.com, here is a link to the corresponding guide
this is the record for "test" in our Airtable - #1 = VD Formula (Formula field for date)#2 = Main Verse#3 = Teaching theme/topic This is the email template in the automation - This is the Generated test email - #1 shows up exactly like it's suppose to but, even though there are values in the Airtable record for #2 & #3 nothing is showing up in the test email. I have refreshed, I closed everything and reopened. I'm not sure what I'm missing.
In my automation I have a trigger when a synced table from another base updates a {risk} field. Automation is currently like this: When a record is update (synced table - {risk} fieldFind record in project list table which matches the trigger record Update record (airtable id from Find Record step) {Risk Type} (field in the project list table) with {Risk} value in the Synced table {risk} field. But I want to concatenate the values in {Risk Type} field. Another words I want keep a previous value and add the new updated value. {Risk} field in the synced table is a single select{Risk type} field in the project list is a multiple selectBoth have the same select valuesScenario: week 1: {Risk} field is set to PTO, result {Risk Type} is set to PTOWeek 2: {Risk} field is set to Scope, result {Risk Type} is set to PTO, Scope
Hi everybody! I’m new here and learning everyday some new incredible capabilities of Airtable. I work for a not-for-profit organization and we often use Kobotools to collect data from our beneficiaries. Kobotools is an ODK based survey platform (kobotoolbox.org). In Kobotools there is a built in REST service and I was trying to connect a an airtable table to Kobo, in order to create a new record with the results of the surveys. But I’ve no expirence with API and I’m really struggling to understand if it is possible to do that and if yes, how I can realize that. Any help is greatly appreciated :slightly_smiling_face: Many thanks, Claudio
I have a rogue automation that is running outside of the trigger I set. This video shows the issue.Any ideas on what's happening here? Thanks in advance!
Hello,I have an automation that triggers on a schedule to send program information out to various recipients. The configuration for the email is to send from the respective program manager's email address and reply to that same email address. These are branded Gmail accounts and the configuration can be seen in the screenshot.I can tell that the configuration is correct in preview mode. However, when the automation runs, the emails are sent from my email account, rather than the program managers'. Is there a way to fix this in Airtable? Gmail?
Ok... will try my best to explain and hopefully someone will get what I'm trying to do. I have a table where each record includes a long text description of an offer in one column and another column that links to a table of manufacturers. I would like to use automation to search the long text description for the name of a manufacturer from the manufacturer table, and then add the link to that manufacturer in the next column. Is it possible within AirTable? I also have a Make/Integromat pro account so can use that if necessary.
Hello,I'm trying to run a script in an airtable form. The idea is to retrieve the GPS location of the person filling in the form by using their browser. Obviously, using the paid extension from Miniextensions is not a solution for me. Do you have any ideas? Have a nice day!
I have a kanban view with 5 columns, day 1 through day 5, for following up with leads. I want to fire off a text message using salesmsg through zapier each time the lead is dragged into the next day column. The issue I'm having is in zapier, it seems that every time I update the lead, regardless of the field, the sms is triggering, sending the message multiple times whereas I just need it to send once.Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi - I'm looking for help with understanding airtable's automation logic. In my table, I have a formula that takes a few fields and combines them to make a URL. One of those fields (call it "field X") is initially blank until a webhook later updates it. Additionally, I have an automation set up to trigger once field X is no longer blank (i.e. the webhook updated field X). This automation sends out an email with the URL in it, assuming that the URL was updated to include field XQuestion is, does this create a possible race condition where the email automation could be fired off before the URL formula has time to update? I saw an instance where the email URL was incorrectly updated with field X so I'm trying to troubleshoot here. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,I created an Airtable automation to pull several fields from my airtable form submission to a separate airtable database (i.e., Creating a new record). However, I am facing issues when pulling the file attachment field - error shows "invalid string".I've tried changing the type of display but nothing seems to work for pdf files (note: it works fine if the file submitted is a png/image file).Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Currently I work with a non-profit church team using a spreadsheet to schedule channels of communication for the year. They would like to move to another system like Airtable, but they like the fact they can visualize the empty channels on a spreadsheet so they know what channels are open they can fill. The only way I assume we can do this in Airtable is if we pre-generate a record for every channel and day of the year using automations, but that would be a LOT of records. Any advice if this is the right way to go? Here is the current spreadsheet for reference: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tp__mhmYMaXSdtpGCmaBoVjNv5KeuVmONLmGW7MTfmw/edit#gid=755643769 Thanks ahead for any advice!
Hello everybody,I have created an automation that will send out an email from a Gmail account. However, the recipient for each email varies depending on the Project. All projects have a field that is linked to another record that contains all the information for the email recipients. My issue is when I try to fill the Recipient field in the automation, the field that represents the linked record doesn't add the email but instead the name of the recipient. I have tried multiple times but can't seem to figure out how to solve this issue. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated!
HelloI was hoping for some advice on how to best approach this use-case we have. Some background:Our marketing team manages all of their accounts through Airtable. We have a primary table called "All Locations" which is our "source of truth" for location-specific data about the retail showrooms we manage. Up until now keeping it up-to-date has been a challenge as employees don't necessarily stay on top of updating the data when changes to our locations occurs. The true "source of truth" is a locations table in our Datamart that comes from our organization's CRM system. We want to use the core organizational source of truth to update the marketing team's locations table in Airtable. We currently have successfully deployed Zapier and have a constantly updating synchronized table with all the location data in Airtable, but we can't work off of that table as it needs to remain untouched for the sync to work as well as the fact all of the history is attached to the records in the Airtable "Al
I want to have my status column auto fill a date in the Actual RFP Date when the status is set to RFP. But then there are more status changes that will happen after that, and I don't want the Actual RFP Date to disappear once the status is change to the next status in the process so we can track that date easily. Right now I have it so when status is changed to RFP it fills in the Actual RFP Date, but then with Engineering changes the status to Engineering Complete, that date goes away. However, I also want it to update the Actual RFP date if you ever go back and change the status to Field Dim. We typically do that when someone thinks they have everything they need, but then they realize they are missing information. So we would set the status back to Field Dim and then once the field dim is complete we would again change the status to RFP and would need the Actual RFP date to show the most recent RFP status change date.
I have 4 columns that affect each other for our woodworking shop tracking: Status, Actual RFP Date, Required RFP Date, and Manufacturing complete date. Manufacturing complete date is just a date that is entered as an ideal completion date. Manufacturing Complete date then fills out the Required RFP date to be 8 weeks prior to Manufacturing Complete. Then the RFP date is the date at which the Status is is actually set to RFP. I want to make it so that the Manufacturing Complete date will automatically change to be 8 weeks after the Actual RFP date. How can I do this? Seems like the Manufacturing Complete date column needs to be both a date and a formula, but I know there must be a work around for this. As you can see in the screenshot, 9/15 Actual RFP Date is less than 8 weeks from Manufacturing Complete date, so I want it to automatically change that 10/4 date to be 11/10.
