I have a form that is submitted daily by members of our team, and due to how the AirTable base was initially set up, it defaulted to GMT when our company is in EST, so when we default to 'todays' date, after 6pm EST it will jump to the next day. Is there a way to set up everything to use EST without messing up the data in our base?
Hi allI currently use Xero for my accounting (invoicing, billing, credits etc).Airtable is my order management system.I want to be able to create the accounting pipeline (invoices etc) in Airtable and have this upload directly into Xero.If I make an update to any fields in Airtable, I want this to update in Xero where relevant (invoices, bills, credits, contacts).Does anyone have experience with building a Xero equivalent that they could roll out for me? Would want it to link with my bank and handle tax returns etc.Otherwise any links to relevant videos/posts?Xero works well but I want to minimise double data entry and then no need to pay Xero fees.
I’ve created a survey form and the text for one of the options for a multiple select question gets cut off. Is there anyway to have the form show the full text besides trying to reword the option to something less wordy?
Is there a way that I can have my employees fill out a form that then shows data they are looking for from a base instead that form inputting data into the base? I have created a table that would be very beneficial to my employees but some are reluctant to use it because they are used to an older system. If I could create a form that makes it very easy to find what they need, that would be wonderful. I see there are some paid 3rd party apps like On2Air that would do this. I assume by the presence of these apps, Airtable does not have this functionality but figured I'd ask when my searches on the community yielded no results. Thank you for all your time
As of right now the inventory department at my company relies on paper forms and it was recently requested that we digitize the form. I don’t need the form to actually place the order, I just need filled out forms to be sent to the inventory manager. However, as I dove into the process, I hit a wall. Is there a good way to convert the attached form into an airtable form?
I want to create a users table. This will be tied to the users who have access. I already have a projects table which i can easily assign owners via the people who have access to the base, similar with tasks connected to those projects (this works fine), my problem is i cant create a table of team members who are on the base using the information from who has access to the base and then group by owners to show what projects they own.I have done this in a hacky way but it seems it doesn't update when i add new projects so thinking if there's other ways of doing this
Hi all,I'm working on a project and I need to Combine Table A from Base 1 with Table B in Base 2 to create one table, Table C.I've already linked the two original tables to be in the one base, but I can't figure out how I can automatically combine the two. Thanks in advance!
Im trying to use a field related to another table, the field is a date datatype which is in local format (DD/MM/YYYY) but the lookup tries to use another data forma (MM/DD/YYYY) so its not retrieving properly.Fecha de Facturación and Fecha (from another table) are both in local format But the datatype link from one table to the other search in another format so it fails...anyone who has passed through this problem?
I'm trying to create a simple contact database of names. When I have several names that happen to be related (ie of the same family), I'd like to link each of them to each other to show those relationships. I can create a link to other people in the same table ("People") for example John Doe is related to Jane Doe, but when I go to Jane Doe, I don't see the relationship to John Doe. It doesn't seem to be two-way. Am I missing something?
Hi there, I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with this interesting little problem. I have a table as a "reference table" which allows me to set fees globally across the base so if a fee for tables goes up I can change it across all records. That same table contains other fees such as fee for square footage used elsewhere. In the table "Bookings", the second table, where the reference field is then used, I would like the ability to auto pull through the value field based on the lookup value. Example below. In "Reference Table" the fee for tables is 12.00 In the "Booking Table" I have the link value as the Reference Field "Table Fee" and the lookup value of "Value"All of this works fine but in the Reference Field, I would like that to be able to populated with the "Table Fee" so that the value pulls through also. Is there a way to do this? The option for pre selecting a value that appears in other fields is not available in a linked field. Thanks in advance
Hi Airtable Community - I am fairly new to Airtable. A couple of months developing. Have a few questions below. Many thanks in advance for any guidance provided.Q1: Need to merge two bases - what is the way to go? The chatbot mentioned scripts to bring data over and sharing the tables from one base to another. I would like to merge the two into one Master one and not lose existing comments in any records, any history or scripting/automation in either. Is there a way to do this? Q2: How do I see/query the backend table structure in Airtable via SQL? Is that possible? is there a tool out there that can help with that?Q3: Any companies that offer Airtable development that I can chat with - looking for rapid development so need more Airtable engineers?
Hello friends, how are you?I'm really sure I'm missing something! Something so simple and easy can't be that complicated!I have one table of leadsAnother table of Ad costI want the Ad cost table to sum the number of leads I have on the same date from the leads table and then actually make a formula that will divide the advertising cost by the total leads.I made a Linked record for the leads table and made a filter that will show me only the leads whose "registration date" is the same as the date that appears in the date column. It does show me all of these leads (except for the ones whose date is the day after for some reason) but I don't understand how I can just automatically pull them into my list without using any automation that would make everything complicated! It really seems super simple and super easy to me but I've been wasting too much time on this!!I would really appreciate some help on this topic!Thank you very much!
Looking to create some kind of form / interface that allows the user to submit multiple records. For context, here is the use case:I'm creating an Ordering/Receiving Inventory Management base to use across staff at a Restaurant for order management. Person 1 does the ordering, they submit what they ordered. (ideally they'd be able to do it by distributor, so for Distributor 1 we ordered 7 cases of X, 2 cases of Y, etc.) This populates to a new table of sorts that Person 2 can reference when they do the receiving of said order. They'll see the 'Qty ordered', the 'Item Ordered', and the 'Distributor'. They theoretically can denote what was received (1 case of Y instead of 2 cases, etc.), as well as attach invoices for easy reference. Not necessarily set on the set up being a 'form' per se, although that makes the most sense to me. However I am getting stuck as I can't find anything about adding multiple records through a form, it seems the form set up is more specifically for fillin
Hello,to simplfy my struggle with reporting in Airtable lets imagine this workflow:I have Employee, Projects, and Timelog tables where employees track the time spent on specific projects. Each employee has their own hourly rate. What I need to achieve is a monthly report for each employee that includes:All projects they worked on in the previous month (show them only if they worked on specific project at least for one hour)The total time spent on each projectThe total cost (calculated based on their hourly rate)apologize if this has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find a solution.I am could achieve this by Pivot table in the dashboard section, but I need to make automations based on this results (adding Payments and so...) Thank you
Hi !I struggle to import data from a bigquery table to another table in Airtable. My connections are fine, but I can’t manage to map the field between bigquery and airtable in Make. Any tutorial or idea ?I just want to import or upsert the data from bigquery to airtable. The fields are the same and ready in airtable.I've tried Skyvia but it make several errors when upserting...Thanks !
Hi, I'm having trouble understanding how to do what I want to do.I want to create a campaign. Not necessarily send emails from Airtable but structure and track the progress of a campaign.I'm trying to make a "Campaigns" table where each record is a campaign. One of the fields in the "campaign" record is "contacts" where I attach the contacts I want to exchange with.I want to track for each contact whether they've been contacted, by what means, whether they've replied, and notes on these interactions. It looks like a list display, but I can only create levels above each campaign record & not below (see the screenshot below).I'd like to have above the campaign record and below each contact with fields.I can do this architecture in the contact table but in this case the "campaign" is no longer a record in itself but only a field. Which is not desirable either.I suppose the solution should be obvious but I don't see it.How would you do it? Thank you in advance
Hi. For the past 1 - 3 days, I've been experiencing immense slowdowns using the web UI interface of Airtable, when loading tables, changing formulas, doing any updates whatsoever. This used to work pretty fast up till now. As far as I know, nothing drastic has changed from my base size, or design. The Web UI takes ages to load irrespective of table size, I have tables of less than 200 records which take a very long time, and also others of 10,000 records. Tools integrating with Airtable, like Make and some other tools, still work pretty fast and get good response rates.I have no idea where to start to troubleshoot such performance issues, or how to go about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,I'm looking to secure that some fields are filled out before a user can check a "Save" checkbox on an interface page, since there is no actual "Submit" button we can use. I have gathered from previous answers that there are no native ways to do this in Airtable. To be sure I'm asking again if somebody has come up with something for this?Alternatively, has anybody had any experience with the new DataGuard extension? They claim to be able to do this, but the public info is relatively brief and I would appreciate hearing of any real life experiences. Here's their marketsplace page:https://airtable.com/marketplace/blkg6J9RM61xpauOZ/dataguardThank you in advance,Björn
I am trying to find a better way of building out our schedule across the entire portfolio.Current setup:Projects tableTask TableFinancials TableCurrently the schedule only assumes the task lead times to do a workback for planning along with a workforward schedule that adjusts forecasted delivery based on actual stage gate progress.Separately we manage finances and track costs and approvals, along with payments, however all of these are linked to the projects. When we hit our budget for the month in our portfolio spend, we end up delaying tasks and pausing development. So what i would like to do is have the workback schedule anticipate the weekly budget and increase LT for the workback so that we can ensure we are starting projects early enough to schedule in their payments. Is there a way to structure this with automations and formulas to avoid having to do this manually for 1000's of projects?
Hey guys, I need your help!I have 3 tables -1. Projects2. Items3. TasksIn general - each project has linked items and each item has linked tasks.Because that was the goal, the only place where a specific employee is associated is at the tasks stage.Because each task is linked to an item and each item is linked to a project, I knew that if I associated an employee with a specific task, he would also be associated with the appropriate item and task. The problem - the client now says that he does not want each item to have a task. Now, this creates a problem for me because in such a situation I do not have a task to link to this item and then the employee "does not know" that he is associated with this item because there is no task under it.How do I overcome this?Did I build the entire system incorrectly?Do I need to create an "employee" field that we will have to enter at each stage? Task, item and project?I would really appreciate your help!
Hi all@TheTimeSavingCo @kuovonne @ScottWorld Keen to hear how you would go about setting up the subject. Details below;1) Buyers need to make single or multi item enquiries to their delivery location.2) Sellers need to be able to make one or more quotes against selected enquiry items.3) Upon approval from both sides the status moves to ordered. 4) Currently I have the inquiry items table linked to a parent table which holds the buyers details. Likewise with the quote items linked to parent table.5) The sellers needs to view the inquiries and choose the selected products to quote price and quantities against. This needs to create a record in the parent table aswell as the quote/order items tableBuyers then need to accept quotes.Sellers then need to approve.Order becomes final and awaits dispatch.
Hi, how are you?I have one table of leads that has the date each lead entered the system.Another table of advertising expenses where I pull yesterday's advertising expenses every day.At the end, I want to make a total of how much a lead costs me each day.I thought about adding a column in the advertising expenses table where I would pull the total of each day's leads and then divide the expense by the number of leads. But - I can't figure out how to do it correctly without running a lot of internal automation.Could it be that I'm missing something? It seems very simple and logical to me that it should be possible to do it quite easily.I would appreciate your help!Thank you very much!
Hi,I am super new to this. Essentially I want to have a master base that my team and I can work from that is synced to 4 other bases that our partners work on individually. I don't want one partners data to reflect on another partners base. Is this possible?TIA!
Hi friends, I would appreciate your help with something that I have been stuck on for too long..I have 2 tables -1. Students2. Student ActionsIn "Student Actions" I see all the lessons that the students have completed. In "Students" I see the student's status - both his details and I also want to pull the last lesson he took, the date of the last lesson, etc.I was able to use ROLLUP to pull the date of the last lesson, but no matter what I did and what I tried - I was unable to pull the name of the last lesson he completed. Now it seems like something very simple to me, because I need to pull the name of the lesson whose "Autonumber" is the highest, regardless of the date.I was unable to do this and it is really frustrating.I would really appreciate your help!Thank you very much!
Hi everyone, Following Situation: I have Projects, Reports, and Tasks. Projects are linked to Reports, Report are linked to tasks. Tasks are not directly linked to projects. Now in Projects, I have a Lookup field for Tasks from reports. I really need to filter this lookup field by two checkboxes in Tasks. But unfortunately I can only set filters around Reports: "Only include linked records from the reports table that meet certain conditions..."Is there any way to filter the Tasks directly? Or is there any clever workaround that I am missing? Any help or ideas would be appreciated!Cheers 4
