Hi Guys,After hours of trial and error, all errors, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to join data from two different tables.Table 1 has INVOICE NUMBER, CUSTOMER NAME, and CUSTOMER EMAIL, one Invoice Number per row.Table 2 has several rows with the same Invoice Number, and one item on each row. So, if the customer just bought one item, there would be only one row with Invoice Number and Item.If customer bought three items, there would be three rows, with the same invoice number on each row and one item per row in the Item field.What I want to do is to build a THIRD table that has Name, Email address, and Item, so I can then sort who bought a specific item, or all the items a specific client bought.But try as I will, I can't figure out how to do it and ANY help would be VERY appreciated.So, Table 1:Invoice 1 - Client 1 - Client Email 1Invoice 2 - Client 2 - Client Email 2Table 2 hasInvoice 1 - Item

Yes, I was going to post this. Why is this so old and nobody responded. I want only download CSV of selected records. I don't want to go to have to create a filter if it is a one of quickie export.I don't like this new forums. The interface is confusing and adds zero value to me. All is somehow boxed and convoluted and tacked away. Why has Airtable switched. In this table I have a list of plant names (taxa) plus other information about the plant's habitat, etc. Plant names frequently change, and the old name is considered a synonym, while the current names is the "accepted" name. Accepted names can have multiple synonyms because the names have changed several times. I want to show only accepted names in the main Taxa Table view. If a name changes, the currently listed name will become a synonym. I want to be able to automatically separate synonyms into a different view or table once I have designated them as synonyms. BUT the new accepted name will need to have all the same associated information (habitat, etc.). I have an automation that when we add a project, it creates 15 linked records on an Expense table. Each record on this table is tagged as a different stage expense. I then have 15 or so rollup fields pulling in the different dates from the linked project (using MIN(values)) and total values of each stage's expense. Then I have 2 formula fields:- Date, which checks the tagged stage and pulls in corresponding date using a switch formula- Expense, which checks the tagged stage and pulls in corresponding expense using a switch formulaFor some reason, when I pull in all 35K records, the pivot table is giving very different sum total than the grid view. I think it has to do with the date field possibly. IS there something I have to do when pulling in a rollup date field into a formula field so that pivot tables read it correctly?I verified the grid view filters on the date field work, and exporting it to CSV into Excel pivot table resulted in same correct sums

I am trying to create a simple donor database for a local charity. The “Donors” table would list all donor details (name, phone number, address, E-Mail etc.) while the “Donations” table would show all donations made by the various donors. The “Donations” table would include “Donor” as a linked field to the “Donors” table.It is straightforward to copy and paste details of donations into the “Donations” table. However, I can’t import data into the table because Airtable says the “Donor” field is unsupported. Is there a way of doing this? I don’t really want to copy & paste data. I want it to be more automated.

Hello!I have a question about the best way to set up workspaces and bases for our marketing department. Our department has five digital marketing teams, each digital marketing team has different social media editorial calendars to manage, which we're going to use Airtable bases for. People from the different teams should not be able to see the bases/calendars outside of their own team. Let's say the company is "Company A," each team is named "Team 1," "Team 2" etc and each social medial calendar is called "Base A" "Base B" Base C" etc.How would we best set up our workspace and bases. Should there be a workspace for each team, completely siloing each of them (with bases for each calendar within the workspace)? Or should there be one workspace for all five teams, with bases each all social media calendars? If we were to do that, is it possible to add all teams to the workspace, but relegate their visibility only to specific bases?

I have played around with importing my trello board and making one base. I have the sense that I could use airtable instead of 12 trello boards to track work in different projects. What I would like is the ability to see a timeline that unites multiple tables (projects) and allows me to edit dates or other info about records where I think they will be in different tables or bases. I feel at this point I’d do better seeing a model of something akin to this than trying to read lots of templates or theory articles. Does this sound familiar? My main needs: replace multiple trello boards create views by timeline or kanban of distinct tables/bases possibly collaborate with a few people be able to edit or MOVE records based on certain views. i.e. something that is “writing” becomes part of “podcasting” or “research” which are I think distinct tables.

I reached for my query before i am posting this in forum.Let's say I have 2 records.ID, Type, Item,FYxx_Total1, Fixed,A,2001, Fixed,B,1001, Variable,null,0As you see, ID is 1. When the user enters the FYxx_Total, the first and the second row shouldn't be editable. Meaning, user shouldn't have the ability to alter the numbers for the Type = "Fixed". The 3nd row, I want user to enter the data for this ID: 1.is it possible to achieve in Airtable?

I don't need to use AT to track every single part, but we want to use it as an engineering tool to track prototype lots and parts pulled in for inspections, testing, experiments, etc.I have used the API to automate the creation of parts and automated test logging, and have designed some forms for Real Live Humans to update and add comments, requests, etc.The core of what I have built so far is a PARTS table, with one entry per individual part, and then an UPDATES table which has multiple entries for each part, referenced back to the key in the PARTS table.So, for example, when part ABC is tested in the color testing machine, my API will first check for an existing entry in the parts table under it's SN (say, SN=101). What could be causing the Pivot Table extension to have a different sum than the grid view the pivot table is pulling from?I have a table with 35K records. Each record is tagged as an expense payment or a revenue collection. I then have a view called "Expenses" that filters for only the expense records (around 25K records). I also have a date associated with each record. I group by category in both the Expenses grid view as well as the pivot table. Since grouping by a date field in a grid view does not allow buckets like pivot table does, I have a formula field that does a grouping date string: DATETIME_FORMAT(Date, 'YYYY-MM (MMM)')If I use the date group in the grid view, my totals for 2023-01 (Jan) in the grid are $-1,751,223.80. However the pivot table (grouped by date and bucketed by month) for 2023-01 shows $-10,121,244.13. Perhaps this is an introduction/need for pivot tables. I have a form collecting multiple submissions per brewery. I'm trying to create a menu that could draw from a table that shows the summary of those 4 submissions per brewery.If I create pivot table, which I'm not experienced with, it seems to count each column as an extension, so I would need to upgrade to accomplish this. (Which I don't want to do, if I'm not certain it's going to work.)I'm relatively familiar with Airtable, but not in advanced manipulation. I have it setup with breweries as the primary records, because they're using a form to submit multiple beers per entry. Hello there community,I have an issue I'm not finding an answer to in this wonderfully useful forum. Perhaps I'm just not searching correctly.I'm using a system of entering Purchase Orders where we have an internal SKU and a supplier SKU. These are one to many. There can be many supplier SKUs for a singular internal SKU. I'm in construction, so for example, the internal SKU is a 16ft 2x4: DL-SPR-#2-2x4-16. An example of a supplier SKU is 20416S.When I'm receiving invoices, I'm entering the supplier SKU which allows my system to link to an existing internal SKU so that Airtable knows everything about that product (width, thickness, length, weight, etc, grade). However the other way around - if I want to generate a purchase order with the supplier's SKU on there (so they know exactly what I'm asking for, no confusion...) I'm having a hard time conceiving how I can look up the supplier SKU when the user might not necessarily know what that SKU is. So, the

Hi all, I think I’m getting crazy trying to use the Airtable. I tried it because I wanted some sort of simple database with some simple “app like” interface to submit hours and payment for the hours. I did not wanna overcomplicate and use database and start learning something like wordpress. Currently it does not seems I could avoid that. What am I looking for is to simply create a database with table for hours that can be submitted by the form where table 1 catching Start Date (date/time), End Date (date/time), Number of Hours (end date - start date), Price (Number of Hours * 250), table of payments that I will submit by the form from table 2 catching the Payment Date, Payment Amount. The problem that I’m not able to solve when using the documentation is how to get the Table 1 SUM of Price - Table 2 SUM of Payments. Hi there -I have a base that we use to coordinate our deliveries and our pickups for our drivers. I have a view that is built for our dispatch team to "route" our delivery schedule for the next day that is filtered by all deliveries and pickups that need to made tomorrow.I have a separate view that is for our drivers to show all deliveries and pickups that need to be made Today, so that when they clock-in in the morning, they can see their route and begin going through their schedule. I need the Delivery view to adopt the routing order that was made in the routing view day-prior.How do I make that happen?

Hi, So I have a table called Daily Hits to which my Touchpoints are linked to - so a day might have 30 touch points as an example - I’ve created another table called Journeys… what i want to do is have a number of columns representing a customer journey - each column would be a step as an example… and I need to make sure that step is done or how many of htose steps are done. So for example my Touchpoints include ‘Booster Shots’ where I send a prospect some information - in the Journeys example if I have 50 rows of prospects I want to have a column for ‘Booster Sent’ and so I could quickly see how many of the prospects got a Booster sent - for that I was thinking I could create a lookup field for Touchpoints… like a Loopup… but have that Lookpu filtered by only those that have a Type of ‘Booster Shot’ don’t know if this makes sense but any input/help would be much appreciated. Hi I have a question - Im a neewbie so excuse my ignorance. My primary field consists of 300 sporting fixtures throughout the year which take place at 26 different venues, so the venue is repeated throughout the year meaning the ‘value’ in the primary field is not unique.(one venue could have 20 fixtures) How do I deal with this as I’m worried this will cause a problem down the line.(from my research it states primary cells should be unique) I could merge the date and venue fields to the primary field creating a unique record for each cell? However, I suspect there is a better structure? I have attached a screenshot to illustrate my query. thanks

Hi Airtable friends, I’m trying to design a calendar & job scheduling functionality into our existing airtable base. Our small company currently uses google calendar to schedule customer installations. I’m not clear on how to set up the functionality we need and hope maybe someone here can steer me in the right direction. Or show me a base that does what I’m looking to do. We have a base with contracts that include a variety of related information, with the unique customer contact information in a related table: Customers and Work Orders When we schedule a work order for installation, there are 3 possibilities: Scheduled for a single day; job is completed same day Scheduled for multiple consecutive days; example: Start work Monday, finish Wednesday - 3 day installation Scheduled for multiple non-consecutive days: Start work Monday, work Tuesday, return to finish following Wednesday.

I work on an editorial team and we are trying to track links between articles on our site. Right now I am manually adding inbound and outbound links via a “link to another record.” What I’d like to do is only add outbound links and have any article that I link to as an outbound link automatically appear as an inbound link in the appropriate record. For example, I have articles 1, and 2. I want to link to article 2 from article 1. If I add 2 into the outbound link column in article 1’s record, could I have article 1 automatically show up in the “inbound links” record in article 2?

I am trying to write a query of row number function in aws athena with 3 union queries, but my query fails stating “only one select statement allowed”. I want to recreate something like this, but using a webhook to receive information from stripe, and automatically filling up the amount received, split into the months according. The problem lies therein. The students pay in a lump sum of 8 lessons, and each lesson is, for example every Monday of the month. The students can join at any point of the month. I have a base where I have a table that is a list of product names. I have another table in the base which is a synced source of data from emails, where I have the same product names and a few other fields coming in. Basically, the goal of the exercise is to somehow indicate to the person creating a new record that the name they just created already exists in the synced table. Ideally, this would be a signal in another field on the table, such as a flag (already exists). In which direction do I need to do a linked record field? I can’t use the product name as the linked record because they may actually be creating a brand new one that doesn’t exist in the synced table, and that’s fine. How do I pull in other fields from another synced table if the record name matches the other table? I can’t figure out how to arrange my fields. I am new to Airtable and having a hard time finding solutions in other threads, so thank you in advance for any help you can provide! I have two tables: one is “Courses” and one is “Workshop Planning.” I have an automation that creates a new record in Workshop Planning every time a record is added to Courses. I fill the Workshop Planning records with tasks to be completed for each course. The Workshop Planning table is grouped by Course name in order to keep all relevant tasks together. What I would like to do is show the percent of tasks completed in the Workshop Planning table, in the Courses table. So each Course record would have a “% Completed” column that would automatically calculate as tasks are marked Complete in the Workshop Planning record. Is there a way to do this? It would be very helpful for managing our team workflow. Thanks!
