Interface Designer

I have created an interface with a grid of all my contacts and deals, not sorted or filtered in any way so that I can just go in and see certain records that I need.I created a filter for each of these lists and want to have the ability to filter depending on what I'm looking for at the time. However the filters I'm creating aren't dynamic.If I want to filter by "created date", I need a specific filter for that. If I want to filter by "Total Revenue" I need another one, and so and and so forth.Can't I just create one filter and then when I'm using it select which field to filter by? Seems awfully redundant the way I currently have to use it.

Dear Airtable Team,I have encountered some difficulty when working with tables that have many columns. Currently, to view the information on the far right, I can only use the mouse to drag the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the webpage. This method is inefficient and somewhat inconvenient.I would like to suggest considering improvements to the horizontal scrolling functionality, such as: Enabling horizontal scrolling of the table using the mouse wheel; Alternatively, implementing a canvas-like mode similar to Photoshop, where holding the spacebar and dragging with the left mouse button allows users to pan across the table smoothly. Such features would greatly enhance the convenience and efficiency of navigating wide tables. Hello, I’ve been using Airtable for years, but haven’t looked at Interfaces since the last massive overhaul they got. I am building a revenue model that is based on several variables: estimated pax, estimated discounts, and tentative pricing. I would like to be able to play around with different inputs for each of my products (which would be the records), and compare outputs: gross revenue, profit margin, etc. It seems to me that we did this at my old company using the old Interfaces, but now I’m at a loss figuring out how to set this up. Basically my question is which of the Interface types should I select, and where/how do I configure fields to make them editable within the Interface?

Hello Airtable Support,I noticed that in the Timeline view, it’s currently not possible to display expanded hierarchies in the same way we can in List or Grid view. Additionally, it’s not possible to double-click and edit date fields directly on the Timeline view, which would be extremely useful for making quick adjustments without switching views.Would you consider adding these capabilities in the short term? I am slightly confused as to whether this functionality exists, GPT seems convinced it does but I can’t make it work.I am on the ‘teams’ plan for reference. What am I looking to achieve:Via interfaces, filter records from my ‘People’ table. (straightforward enough) Then select these records in bulk (100+ of them). I am using a grid as this allows me to tick all the records nice an easily. The problem comes when I want to update a field for all of the selected records. The purpose of updating this field is to move them to another table - ‘Projects’.  I have found 2 potential solutions: An automation that adds a new record into the relevant project based on a dropdown.  A script trigger by a button within interfaces that moves the selected records to the designated place. Are there any plans to make a more robust print/export/embed functionality in the Interface feature? I know there are some graphs that can be printed, but I want to be able to export the full Interface as a PDF. We are using the Interface for an org-wide dashboard of our shared goals and the best way I could figure out how to do it was to take screenshots and recreate it in a separate program, which in addition to being cumbersome, creates a low-quality final product. Can you please prioritize this feature so we can use the interface as a share-able dashboard with a broader audience? We don't want to have to have everyone in our org to have to log into Airtable to see the dashboard, we want to be able to embed, print, and share.

Hello, I have built an interface on top of a table. Within this table I have dates and I have put a column formula to get the week number. I've created a chart in the interface and I'd like a drop-down that filters by the week number but currently only allows me to filter by the date. Please help.

Airtable has two nice features:In Interfaces you can launch a “Create Record Form” from an existing record and it will pre-populate the “parent” record value in the appropriate field. I have a base with two tables:Table 1: US Colleges (which has a list of US colleges and what they each look for in applicants; the primary field being the college name) Table 2: Supplemental Essays (which has the list of supplemental essays required for each college; the primary field being the essay prompt itself, and there’s a link record field to link each essay prompt to the relevant college in the US Colleges table)The interface I’m building is a Record Review, and I picked Table 1 (US Colleges) as the linked table so that the data can be organized by college.Everything works great when I’m editing the interface, but when I open the public view link, the records from Table 2 (Supplemental Essays) aren’t showing.  How do I fix this? Hi Everyone.  I have a reseller company selling my products.   I need to pay them rebates every month.I have drawn up a table to track sales as they are made.  It will then also pull through the rebate amount to each month’s column based on the contract start and finish date.I now want to create a dashboard that the reseller and I can view every month to see the total amount of resales for the month.  IE. I want a chart showing each month’s total rebate.  I would also like to setup seperate dashboards showing for example the number of active contracts, how much rebate is owed to each different sales person, etc….Can anyone please assist/guide me with this on how to get the information into a dashboard.  I have created the dashboard similar to this excel file but Just not sure how to pull over the data for insights as I am struggling to get all the months into one chart.

After creating a Blank interface, I used "Add element" to add record-pickers for tables A, B, C, and D, as shown in the image. For each table, I arranged the relevant fields vertically.What I want to achieve is to visually group the vertically arranged sections for tables A, B, C, and D. I think just giving each section a different background color would be enough.However, it seems that such a basic feature doesn’t exist, so I’m wondering if I might be missing something.Thank you!  

Hello: I'm wondering if anyone has figured out any clever ways to get what's in an extension onto an interface. We have a couple custom-built extensions that we'd like to display on interfaces so we can leverage the interface permissions. Right now, we have to open up our entire base to someone in order for them to view the extension. Any ideas on workarounds or how you may have managed to display extension data on an interface. Below is a screenshot of what one extension looks like.  

Hello!I am hoping someone can help. I am trying to create an order entry/invoice database where I can track customers, products offered, sales, contracts with vendors, etc. My main priority right now is tracking product sales by unit/# of customers. I have a database set up right now with the basic - Product, Customers, Line Items (customers can order multiples products and qtys of each), and invoice tab to generate the invoice number and collect data to use for the page designer extension so I can send a PDF invoice with the data stored in airtable. I followed one of GAP consulting's videos to set it up. The issue I have is there is no streamlined way to set this up for ease of use. BC the data is stored across multiple tables you need to go to each table in a specific order to enter the data. It is not intuitive for the person I am setting this database up for. I tried to use forms to make it easier, however, to enter a new order you need to go to multiple forms in order to

Hi All,we keep getting the error message “Invalid permissions” on the Airtable app on Android phones when trying to view our Interfaces. Everything worked just fine for months. The users on the phones do have access to the Interfaces, as per our settings.Weirdly, the error can be circumvented when accessing the same Interface through a direct link that we click from outside the Airtable app. We re-started the phone, cleared the cache, uninstalled&installed the app. None of those helped.Has anyone experienced this before and is there a recommended solution?  

Hello all, Basically I have a form to link working units and owners: For some reason the “+” button on the Owner side is displaying “Add unit” and I can’t figure out how to change it to something more accurate (Add robot). Do I need to rebuild the table and change the name of how I will call each record? Secondly, I just noticed (probably I did it in the past but I forgot to follow it up) that the visibility of the fields is limited once I applied a filterIn other words, with this setup…  As soon as I enter parameters on the “filter”, I see “0 visible fields” on the fields option. I have a main table with records, and linked tables with linked records, they are readable using an interface. I want to enable independend Airtable users to select specific records from those tables, to export or print that selection. They need to be able to do this independently, so one user should be able to select records without those records also being selected for another user.

While building a custom interface in Airtable, I wanted to display smaller images—something like a profile picture in a small circle. But I noticed there’s no way to resize the image component. It either shows up full-size or doesn't fit the layout the way I want.Is there any possible way?

Hi all -- I’m see a number of functional bugs in my dashboard interfaces, including “ghost” so-call “element” data sources, as well as disappearance of linked field dynamic filtering for dropdowns. It was working fine before the roll-out came to me today, but it’s been a bit catty-wompus ever since. Am I the only one? Bueller?

Hey AT brains trust, I'm at my wits end attempting to get this interface to simply filter to show me my un-approved expenses. This is for our Base to manage all org expenses, which each FY I duplicate, turn old automations off and new ones on, rename to current FY, recolour and a little bit of renaming inbudget areas. An interface we rely heavily on is sending me this error message.The field is single select and has not changed The filter is specific and again very simple, we want to see unapproved expensesI have copied the field and used that, I have duplicated the base, I have reentered the filters and have had no luck and am losing my brain. The previous FY still works but nothing has changed in this area.Please help

The decision to lock the Visibility function of fields in interfaces to business accounts is unfortunate. Of all the upgrades that going from Teams to Business grants, this is the most arbitrary one. The ability to turn off fields is a simple quality of life function that no one is going to be upgrading to get, it's a punitive measure against those of us who are not as well funded.The poorest organizations using teams are also those that typically will most need the Visibility function in interfaces. They will generally have the lower paid or more transient staff that turning off fields and buttons will prove most crucial for.Case in point, non-profits will often have volunteers who can greatly benefit from not being able to see or interact with functions until other steps have been taken or not taken. I'm working on a few projects that are using a gallery view, one of which is a publicly shared interface. I'm excited about the changes, but have a question about one of the new features. My users have noted the change immediately of getting the expanded image rather than going to the record detail. Does anyone know of a way to turn off this feature?Thank you!
