I have a question regarding the upcoming change to Attachments within bases on Airtable (the annoucement email that just came out a few days ago). I am especially concerned about the expiring URLs and am not sure if this will impact my business. Right now, I use Airtable to create a weekly availability for flowers. I share a link to each week’s table via email and customers have a 7 day window to place orders. My weekly availability includes photos in the Attachment column. These photos are either uploaded directly from my computer or uploaded as screenshots. The change that is coming in November, does this mean after a few hours my customers won’t be able to view the photos in my shared Grid View of my weekly availability? If this means my customers will lose access to my photos a few hours after I send them my weekly email, then how do I go about “fixing” this before it becomes a problem?

I am a Business Development Office for a credit union and the majority of my time is spent in the field. Upon completion of my meeting with a client, i go into the Performance Summary section in AirTable, on my phone, and key in the highlights of our conversation. In a lot, maybe 25%, of instances, this information will not be saved. I am not certain if this is a WiFi issue as I am in some rural areas on occasion. Has anyone experienced this issue? In reading through some posts it’s my understanding there is no “Save” button and entries will be automatically saved upon exit. That has not been the case for me in quite a few instances. Please let me know if this experience has happened and what you did to resolve. Your help is greatly appreciated. James

I have already tried Zapier, but am stuck as I have Advanced Custom Fields in my Custom Post Types. I have successfully imported fields to Google Sheets, but am stuck with the same issue. I’m looking at Airpress and the Remote Database API today. Has anyone been successful with this?

I have a simple question that I cannot solve. I am looking to convert some existing Excel Forms. I would like to create a dropdown list that has about 10 different options. I do not see a way to create the dropdown list other than having to add them all one by one. Any way to create this dropdown list with a simple paste of all the values. For Example I have a column Fruit - I would like to single select 10 different Fruits Apples, Pears etc ,. I already have my list built and have several different list to build. If I have to do them all one by one that would take hours.

I have a table where I have lots of columns, but two in particular: Primary column = article title (text) secondary column = hyperlinked articles (multi-select) The hyperlinked articles are a multi-select built with the list of all available article titles. My question is: I want to add another column that counts the number of times “Article A” appears in all the multi-select arrays. And repeat this calculation for every row, Article B, Article C, etc. How do I do this?

Hello to all, I am looking to create a database that will allow me to manage multiple products. I have a first table “inventory” which lists the different products that I offer: ID1 product 1 quantities nb ordered nb sold ID product 2 quantities nb ordered nb sold … Then I have a sales table that references the different sales. Is it possible to make a dynamic follow-up of the stocks with orders including different products with different quantities? example of order: product 1 *3 product 2 * 4 product 3 *1 I would like to have several quantities on the screen below

Hi guys I just started using Airtable to import research spreadsheets (name/URL/category/country) to form a database. It’s working well for internal use, but I would like to provide read-only access for members of our community (paid or unpaid) and wondered if there were apps which would present this in a nicer way (they will just need to browse and filter) or I should keep it all simply within a standard Airtable? Hi, I’m using a grid view to sort out volunteers who has registered for one or more available slots for an event. Now, I’d like to make a check-in field in order to know who showed up for the time slots they registered for. I’ve been trying to use a grid view grouping the records based on the volunteer’s names or the slots, but it seems like the records with multiple selections (i.e. more than one slot chosen) only shows up on one line in the table, which only makes it possible to use a check-in field for the volunteer itself, not the specific slot. Do you have any idea on how I can solve this? The volunteer system is much like this simple booking system: How to make a simple booking system). I’ve seen this article (https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042806893-Multiple-select-field) but then I would need separate views for 50+ time slots which wouldn’t work. If you have any advise, thank you very much!

I have 2 tables - Families and Individuals, and I want to create a one to many relationship between these. So I’ve marked fields in the 2 tables as linked. I then want to create a webform so that external users can create records which give details of both the family and individuals within the family. But when I share this form, and the user clicks on the + for individuals, it shows all the individuals in all the other families. I don’t want any individuals to show. I want the external user to be able to add multiple records in the individuals sub form. Can this be done? Have I structured the relationship as many to many when it should be one to many? How do I define it as one to many?

how to disable creating new views. . I would set up several personnel views and several personnel views for colleagues. But if they can create a new view, it’s useless, they will always see everything and what they do not have to see.

How do you change the email address on the form. It only has me. I would like to change it to another email within my company.

Hi Folks, Is there a nifty way to bulk update records with new data? I have all the data I want to add in a spreadsheet and the spreadsheet has a column with the record id the new data should go into. If it matters the cell that needs updating is a multi-select one, but currently its blank (in the future I’ll need to add data to the cell without overwriting existing data). Thanks!

Our fiscal year is ending, and I’d like to hide bases I won’t be working in, but still have access to them if necessary. Any ideas?

Hi! I am planning to take a 4-5 month break off work. So I moved my PRO plan workspace to free plan. It had 5 bases, containing 20,000-30,000 records each. As the free plan only allows 1,200 records, my workspace is now . The bases the workspace had were untouched since a few months - but I cannot delete them. I’ll find myself some time this week, to export each view of every base so I don’t lose data. My only concern is do I have a week/or two before my base is unaccessable to me? Kindly guide me. Hi everyone, I have a table with created date column and some data, as soon as new record is created I have created a automation script the extracts the newly created record by sorting this column in descending order and getting the getting the first record by using query.records[0](which is the last record created, because it is in descending order). My question is, is there any way other than this to extract the latest record created? I also have a column that is auto increment id, I was thinking of extracting the highest value from this column as the latest record, but could not find how to find max value of column by writing in automation script. Thank you

Hi, I have embedded tables into a Carrd site, the site is taking ages to initially load from the embedded tables, is there anyway that I can increase loading speed of the embeds? Hi all, I need to update an Airtable array field via Integromat. In Airtable I have multi select field with Project 1 Project 2 The scenario update all the people with “Project 1” and there are 3 cases: If the person in not in “Project 1” nor in “Project 2”, the Array is empty and I have to add “Project 1” If the person in already in Project 1 the Array contains “Project 1” and I can jump If the person is in Project 2 the Array contains “Project 2” and I have to add the “Project 1”. Hello so I have a button that triggers this script. The script is to create a unique child record based on the attachments I add to it. For example, if I add image1 and image 2 into the parent record, then I click the button to run the script and the it will create 2 child records named image1 and image 2. So I have the following script, and it works, but its actually getting all of the records from the view. But I only need it from a single record from where I clicked the button, so I understand I need to pass the record to the script. Do any GB users have experience of Integrating with the PAF or other postal address solutions? As part of the local authorities effort to cut greenhouse gasses, we are running an Airtable based project to help home owners retrofit their properties with insulation etc. To ensure accurate postal addresses are entered I would like to integrate the sort of solution where you first enter postcode then select house number/name. I am not sure where to start - has anyone done this? Margaret

Hi! Is there a way to set up records, so that external viewers of a view would be able to choose and pick a record among others to share on SoMe? It is already possible to automate SoMe-posting in Airtable, so maybe there is a way to do this too? Regards, Søren

Good morning all :sunrise: I’m wondering if there’s any method to filter a MarkDown Long Text field that contains checked and unchecked tick boxes? Interestingly enough, I can write regex formulas columns that return various values - but I’m unable to run a filter directly on the Long Text Markdown field. Filter returns empty; As a workaround I’ve employed the below formula - but would be far better if we could simply filter for this condition directly without the need for funky-formula. REGEX_MATCH({Status}, "\\[ \\]") REGEX_MATCH({Status}, "\\[x]") EDIT: Almost forgot, this check count formula; (LEN({Status}) - LEN(SUBSTITUTE({Status},"[ ]","")))/LEN("[ ]") (LEN({Status}) - LEN(SUBSTITUTE({Status},"[x]","")))/LEN("[x]") Keen for any ideas.
