Pre-Load Form Option to Multi-Select People and then Automate Email

Not sure how to search for this so if it is out there already please point me in the direction… I am wanting to use a synced database that gets updated with a list of People’s Names and their email information (I can figure this out). I then want to have an option on our form that allows the person submitting to choose in the list multiple people that is populated from the synced database that is updated with current names and emails. I then want to create an automated Submitted email that would go to everyone who was selected on the form to receive the communication it was submitted. And then one more automation once the Status is changed to Completed that goes again to the same people that were selected to receive the communication. Is this possible?

Adding 'high level' data into tables

I have a really interesting challenge but not sure it is resolvable within airtable. I work for a media agency and we created media schedules for our clients advertising campaigns across sites such as Facebook, Google etc. I have created a table for all the placements that I want to run in my clients campaign. A placement includes the specific budget that I might spend on a particular site within my campaign and the dates when this activity runs. My challenge is that I have ‘high level’ data about my campaigns that can’t be broken out for each individual placement. This includes details such as the creative development cost or total campaign fee. Is there anyway this can be represented next to the other more granular 'placement level 'data?

DVD labels with fields that populate from a Table

I have used an OLD version of FileMaker Pro to keep a record of sermon (titles/dates etc.) that was set up to populate fields (from the data entry table) that were set on top of a JPEG image. This was then saved as a PDF which was used by a disk producer to burn/print CDs & DVDs. Our old disk producer has died & new models use USB-C so our OLD Mac won’t work & FileMaker is way to dear to upgrade. Does Airtable allow me to do what I need to do?

Syncing a field from a synced view back to source

I have Base called Master Data with a Companies table where the grid view is a source of a sync to another base called Project X. The fields in Master Data.Companies are automatically updated whereas Project X is manually updated as the project progresses and includes several additional fields. Project X contains 1 field called “LaunchDate” that I want to push back to Master Data.Companies. The problem is that Master Data.Companies wasn’t created as a Synced table - so it looks like in order to share the “LaunchDate” field I’m going to have to create a brand new table in Master Data and then perform a lookup into my Companies table. Is that correct? Is there really no way I could just convert my existing Master Data.Companies table into a Synced Table with only 1 synced field? I really want to avoid cluttering the Master Data Base with sync tables for single lookups (I have a few of these cases for different project trackers), but I don’t see any other options? Hi. I just discovered Airtable today and I’m excited to get started. I’m using the first column for each day of the year. How can I add several months at a time quickly? In Excel, I would just drag the last filled in cell down the column. TIA

Calculating a Project Managers Bandwidth

I work for an agency where we have several project managers, each assigned to a various number of projects. Each project has an estimate for how many hours per day the PM spends attending to it. My End Goal is to be able to set a PMs max number of hours per week at 40, and be able to see the sum of how many hours per week they spend on their speicific projects, so I can divide that actual total by 40 and see a % output of their capacity / bandwidth. I Currently have a base setup that tracks each project, and on those projects records the PM is assigned and the project has an hour per day bandwidth value. I’ve created a separate Base as the place to list our company PMs (to aggregate the data) and have synced my projects over to that Base to be able to use the project specific data. How can I summarize the hours values per PM, bring that summarized value into the PMs record in my company base, and then run a formula to divide the two and give me the % output?

Is it possible to embed a grid view in Google sites and this view be editable, that is, it is possible to add records through this view?

I’m trying to create a site using Google Sites and embed a grid view, but I would like to add records to that grid view, but I can only see the records already created. I was only able to add records through a form view.

Count of clients not number of records for each client

I have clients grouped as you can see(company name). What I want to get is NOT the count as you see at the end of each client’s name, but rather just the count of the number of clients. Does that make sense? How might I do this? The reason is, I need a count per week of the number of clients, and not just the number of “classes” they’ve received.

Calculating and average between bases

Hello! I have multiple bases that need to remain separate and one primary base where I need to track the average of a ranking between the other bases. Is there a way to reference a specific value in each of these other bases and display the average? I’ve only been seeing posts and videos about how to calculate an average from different tables within the same base. Also is there a way to make this a weighted average? Will I need to sync/copy these separate bases into the primary base to then calculate the average of the field? Thanks in advance!

Syncing bases with different Primary Field

Hey everyone, I am trying to sync bases with similar columns but different primary fields. How would you solve this? I’m thinking of either Change all the bases and agreeing on a universal primary field with everyone involved Trying to map each base into an intermediate base, so that every intermediate base has the same primary field and then syncing them with the centralized base. (If this is the correct answer, how would you do this mapping?) How would you solve this problem? Thank you very much in advance

Tag Printer Prints Low Quality Tag

I am using the metafloor code to generate barcodes (Post: Code 128 Barcode Generator?), but they aren’t printing well on my tag printer (GoDEX RT 200), which prints 203dpi (unknown relevancy). I know the printer can print decent quality barcodes, as I’ve been using the printer for years and barcodes from other systems look great. I’ve tried: experimented with print quality increasing barcode scale increasing only barcode x-scale increasing the total printed “page” size from the page designer manually changed the image to 300dpi The resulting barcode in printed format is “wavy”, for lack of a better explanation. The barcode prints just fine from a regular printer, so I don’t think the low dpi of the barcode image is at fault either. Aside from chucking the printer for a different one, does anyone have any thoughts? If I do chuck the printer, does anyone have recommendations for one that tolerates Airtable’s Page Designer well?

Some records in airtable isn't showing in my app

Hi I’m new to airtable and have some questions. I noticed that some of my records isn’t showing up in my app, but some of them are. Not sure if this is common or if there is anything wrong, I am simply retrieving data records in Airtable but some are not showing up, and I’m not sure why.

Bug. One of my tables shuts down the app

I have one table that I created. When i was creating some filters, the app shut down. I can open the app and all the other tables, but when I open that one table, the app just shuts down. This is happening in my phone app but from my desktop I can access without a problem.

Count the working days of a month

Hello guys :slightly_smiling_face: Simple question but can’t get the answer by myself. Is it possible to count the number of working days in a month with a formula ? For example in January there is 21 working days (i only count monday to friday not the week-end days) Thanks a lot guys

Airtable keeps defaulting to wrong view

I have a base with a master view and a public view. However, when I open the table it keeps selecting the public view (the second choice) by default and I have to click on the master view every time. They are in this order in the view list: Master view Public view Gallery Is there a way to have the top view (the Master view) to be shown when I open Airtable? Please keep in mind I do not have a paid plan and can’t “favorite” any views.

Adding Available Date to Form

I’m looking to add “available dates” (pre-defined) into a form for the user to select. Not sure how to go about setting this up. Once the form is submitted, I would like the selected date to fall off the available date list. Also, not sure on how to go about setting this up.

Update record in a synced base back to the source base

I am new to the forum, so apologie if this has been answered already. Our company manages a group of financial advisers. We receive mail for them which is entered by one of the admin team into a single base as an attachment. A view has been set up for each adviser, which is synced across to their individual bases. Automations send an email to the relevant individual when a new record enters their view. What we need to do is, once the adviser has read the email, have a way of them sending an update message back to the source base i.e. turn the status from unread to read. As far as I can see I need to use scripting/Integromat (or Zapier) to achieve this. I am not familiar with either scripting or Integromat and am happy to learn how to use them. What would be helpful is some guidance from the community as to the best approach, so I can focus my attention on the right area. I have similar use cases, so a solution to this will be very useful going forward.

Failed update to API call in Data Fetcher app: "Can't Update Field: invalid field config"

Hello, completely new to Airtable and fairly new on dealing with APIs. I was super excited that I was able to get an API connection to work and successfully pull the data I needed a few weeks ago. Today I went back because I forgot to include two fields in the original pull of the data. I amended my Body JSON query to include these two new fields and when I use the “Open Field Mapping” button in the Data Fetcher app everything actually looks fine (it’s pulling in the new fields). But, when I run the query, I receive the following warning with the yellow exclamation: Can’t update field: invalid field config. Failed schema validation: symbol is not included in the .(type=number).options schema Because I’m fairly new both APIs and Airtable, is someone able to give me a “laymans” explanation of what I can search for to troubleshoot this warning. Interestingly, while I see Airtable successfully pulling in the two new fields (and with the right data populating), when I go to the actu

Questions on API direction

Hi, my brother and I are looking to create a small service to solve a perceived service gap in the Airtable as CMS space. Scheduling multiple appointments at once for same record

Hello there! Me again… So, while I’m still relatively new to all of this, I have managed to accomplish a lovely base, but only one thing is missing… I created a scheduler to put our clients on the schedule, the only thing is, when someone signs up with us, it’s for a series of paid visits. For example, a client would qualify for the project and would agree to 7 visits to our location over the course of 13 months. What I would like to accomplish, is that when I schedule that first appointment, that it will automatically schedule the next one 35 days ahead (or change the date time field next to it for x amount of days ahead), and then the next one 29 days later, etc etc… I have multiple time/date fields, and they are labeled as such, V0 (visit 0), v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7. I’ve had no issue getting the same record to show up on the schedule in multiple places, no issue with clients showing up on the schedule color coded based on project they are a part of, and I can even manually enter

Tracking clicks on embedded view on website

We have a funding database that we update regularly for our charity members. On our website is an embedded gallery view that shows all the current opportunities, which incluldes links to the funders external websites - as shown here: Find funding | Community Southwark For our monitoring and record keeping I’d like to know how many users take action to visit those funders - is there any way of tracking this using airtable, or should I be looking at something like bit.ly for individual link tracking? Trouble with Maps API (Randomly on error)

I use Airtable for a big list of names with addresses. Every day a new name has a red dot for the API, making it invisible on the map visualization. The one thing I have noticed is that every time one of my colleagues use the setting tool to adjust for just a group of people, somehow it changes or actualizes the API for all the names in the list resulting in some of them showing error. I am not sure this is the condition for this error. Is someone else having trouble with that map visualization?

Export timeline view date range to Google or Mac calendars

I’m an Airtable (though not spreadsheet/database) newbie and I’m considering the Pro package because the timeline view is essential for my project management. Is it possible to synch/export date ranges in the timeline, (e.g. Project A works from Jan 1 to Jan 15), to an external calendar (google of iCal), so that the same dates are blocked there as well? Or is there another way to do this on AirTable? I want to avoid entering project dates twice. Thank you.
