Is there a way to password protect a base so that when it’s opened (even by me) it requests a password before showing any information? I’m attempting to make a base to store ALL passwords. Personal and Business. However I do not want anyone who may get access to my computer to be able to pull up the base without a password. Thanks

I run a schedule of staff and I want to limit the number of items each is assigned daily. How can I set a maximum number of items assigned to a particular staff and the extras moved to another staff with no limits?

Is there a way to list all the views for each table in one single view panel instead of clicking at the table names to see the views associated with that table? Hello! We use Airtable for our inventory and our finance team require a summary of the value of stock at the end of each month. I have a value column which shows each product’s value and I look at the sum at the bottom of the total. I have also created an interface which highlights the total value of stock we’re holding at any one time. This interface is really useful but the problem is as it automatically updates when something changes I can’t send this to accounts as a summary of the value at the end of each month (this is great in general - just for the purposes of this task I need to find another way). I have also thought about setting up an automated email to send 1st of the month at 12am but can’t find a way of including the small value in the ‘sum’ at the bottom of the value column. I’ve also looked at snapshots but it looks like you can’t automate these for a certain day/time. I can of course just send them an email with a link to the interface saying ‘here’s the current value

Is there an easy way of creating a column (field) in Airtable that includes consecutive dates (ie. each record shows the next date on from the record before)? The only way I find I can do this is to manually insert each date. Another way would be to select two of the dates and drag down or up through empty records (a la a spreadsheet). But unlike Apple Numbers you cannot create new records as you drag. Therefore you have to pre-create the empty records. The problem is that the empty records are not adjacent to the most recent date (and I want to add dates after the most recent date). The empty records always appear at the other end of the list of records. I assume I am missing something basic? Thanks

Hello, I would like to ask you for help with this. I have a tracking table of profiles of people on social networks. In this table I write down the number of followers that each one has when I register it. Periodically I review those profiles and update the data of followers of each profile. I would need to keep a file of these changes in the number of followers to be able to review the history of each profile and see if its trend is positive or negative over time. Hi - I’m trying to rollup a look up date field to find the earliest date but all I’m getting are values of ‘0’. Here’s how I’m set up: Table A: Contains a list of events per location. For example, Location A on 1/1/2022, Location A on 1/2/2022, and so on where each location + event date is a unique row. I also created a formula field (Formatted Event Date) for the event date: DATETIME_FORMAT({Event Date},‘M/D/YYYY’) Table B: Contains a list of locations and a lookup on Table A for Formatted Event Date. I tried creating a rollup on Table A for Formatted Event Date using MIN(Values) but it’s returning all ‘0’. Is there a better way to rollup dates so that it’s formatted correctly??

Hi there! I have a “Campaigns” table and a “Schedule” table within the same base. My “Schedule” records are all linked to a campaign in my “Campaigns” table, for example: I have a “Product Launch” campaign in my “Campaigns” table, and in my “Schedule” table I have a record for a Product Launch email, Product Launch social post and Product Launch display ad. Every record in my “Schedule” table has an attachment to go along with it (creative/artwork). I would like for the attachments I add to a record in “Schedule” table to automatically duplicate into the “Campaigns” table, under the appropriate (linked) campaign. Using the same example as above, I would like my Product Launch email, social post and display ad attachments to automatically populate in the attachments field for the Product Launch record in my “Campaigns” table. Would I set this up as an automation? I know the answer has got to be right in front of me, just having a total mental block :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks in ad

I’ve researched some old topics but haven’t quite found the solution I need. I have a situation where there are different services and the pay rate for each service varies based on the employee who is performing it. Example: Service 1: Jane Doe is paid $20, John Smith is paid $25 Service 2: Jane Doe is paid $30, John Smith is paid $35 Service 3: Jane Doe is paid $40, John Smith is paid $45 I’m using a Form for the employee completes some services. Also, there may be more than one service submitted for each job. Example: 1/20/22: Jane Doe submits an entry for Service 1 1/22/22: John Smith submits an entry for Service 1 AND Service 3 1/22/22: Jane Doe submits an entry for Service 1 AND Service 3 I want to be able to roll up the employees total pay rate for these entries. Based on the above example my rolled up value for the work done would be: 1/20/22 by Jane would be $20 1/22/22 by John would be $70 1/22/22 by Jane would be $60 I’m using a Single Select field to associate all of these a

Hi all, I’m in need of a Kanban view with swimlanes and I have hence installed the app Matrix and created that “Kanban” view. This view will be used to share information with the rest of the company and external clients so I would like to share it in the same way that I can do with other regular views. On Airtable pages describing this app e.g. https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004334874-Matrix-app There is a share arrow on the top left of the window but that share arrow doesn’t appear when I have created such a view. See screenshot. Have I done something wrong? I have a pro subscription. Thanks in advance

I have multiple bases where I am tagged as a collaborator on tasks. is there a way to consolidate all the tasks into a view in a single base?

I am using AirTable on OS X. I am using it to organize a private project that needs to link to hundreds of GB of local files so I can look at the file as I fill out information about it in the database. However, I cannot find any way to do this. I found one thread on this topic that did not work at all for me; I do not want the file to open in a browser (and it won’t, regardless), I want it to open in its default software on my computer. Is there anything I can do? Thanks. EDIT: I want to add that they’re mostly video files. I’ve tried uploading one of them – even though I would never be able to upload them all – and even when it’s uploaded there is no way to easily play back the file. I just need it to open and play quickly, so uploading and redownloading something that’s 1) large, and 2) already on my computer is pretty pointless.

Hi, I am a commercial real estate broker, and built a database of all the buildings I have a mandate on. I have several tables, around 60 records and more than a hundred fields to describe them. I need to be able share a selection of them (not all the fields) with my customers (potential buyers/tenants). I mean a specific selection adapted to the customer’s needs. I tried two ways : Softr, but I came to the conclusion that it’s not suitable to sharing more than a few fields for each record, and is not flexible enough for my needs. Sharing an Airtable filtered gallery view, specific to each client, restricted to “copy”, which is fine… ans much simpler (and cheaper). I understand the the client can download/copy the information contained in this view. And make it’s own Airtable database or CSV with it. But is there a risk he could potentially access to the rest of my database ? Other fields, records or tables ? Is a kind of backdoor possible ? Thanks

I have Table (Pay Records) that is a list of records of when we pay staff. The table has a linked record to a Pay Month table which is a list of months/year (Dec 2020, Jan 2021, etc…). A Staff can have more than 1 Pay Record for a month. In the Pay Month table, I have a record for Dec 2020, for example, and the linked field to Pay Records has mulitple records, which are all records in Pay Records paid in Dec 2020. This is all corect. I would like to have a list of Staff and a Rollup of their pay, as some staff could be paid more than once in Dec 2020. Any advise on how to achieve this? Super thanks in advance.
