I’m trying to create a form as follows; Based on the entry on one of the fields, I send out an API request with the field value. I get a result from the API and I show that in the form itself. Is this possible?
Is there a way I can share just a single record with an individual, via a customized link? My nonprofit runs a program where people apply and then their application goes through various stages. We have an Airtable form (as the application), which links to a base where each person’s application is displayed as a separate record. We would like a way for people to automatically view the status of their application, so we are trying to see if there is a way to share their own record with them, but only their record-- not anyone else’s records in the base. Obviously, we could copy and paste their record and send it to them, but we often are contacted multiple times by people who are wanting to know about the status of their application as it moves through the phases, so we are curious whether we could create a custom link that we can send to people after they initially submit their application. The idea would be that they can then return to the same link periodically to see updates in t
Hello everyone, I am trying to use Airtable to create a schedule interface for multiple people This is the thing that I would like to achieve. This is sort of a mix between a Genn Chart and the Calendar view, but Genn Chart doesn’t display hours… Any thought? Thank you in advance (!)
hello my friends Can i set a role for validation at entering data in a table ? i have a table that contains promo- codes for a marketing department. Every promo code assigned for a section in sales department. it shouldn’t assign in the table for two sections in sales sales department. is there a role to validate if a colleague is entering a code in the table for department A, a role that says ‘this code is already used for department B’ ? is it available rather than the team filter on duplicates to resolve after that ? thanks
In my interface I can provide a Pie chart that will show the % of yes and no responses to a survey question. Each response, yes or no, is tied to a month value. I want to see the % over time of the people that reported yes to display a trend chart month over month. Example in Jan 42% reported Yes, in Feb 100% reported yes. This would be similar to my average satisfaction score month over month. How do I take the Yes/No answers and convert them into a % of the population in order to track month over month?
When I am downloading a .csv file from my base when opening the file in Microsoft Excel some of the data is missing/changed. The field that is having the issue is a linked field that lists numbers from an autonumber field. It seems that after 5 sets of 3 digit numbers the numbers just change to zeros. I have attached photos of the data from Airtable and what I am seeing in Excel.
Hi, I’m new to Airtable scripting and am just learning my way around through hit & trial. I don’t have any javascript experience either, but I’ve used python in the past. I’m trying to write an Airtable script that sends data to my Integromat webhook trigger. So far I’ve been gotten the following: // Webhook URL let webhook = 'https://hook.integromat.com/integromaturl'; // replace with actual integromat URL // Table to send data from let tableName = 'Master Client'; // Fields to bind and send let fieldsToSend = [ 'Client ID', 'Client Name', 'Email', 'Created Time', 'Last Modified' ] I guess I’m stuck with what to do after this. My intent is to use the Airtable automation such that when a new record is created in this table (Master Client), I want this script to run. But what do I need to add to my script so that Airtable sends the information in my ‘fieldsToSend’ variable to my ‘webhook’ variable. All I seem to have done in my script is to create and assign v
How can you embed the full gallery view on a Wix Site. I don’t want users to have to click at the bottom of the table for the full view. I just want the full gallery view posted. Can this be done? This seems like it should be a no brainer but my brain can’t figure it out. Thanks for any help.
Hey Airtable Community. I need help with automating the repetitive task of manually changing the name of a file after it’s been uploaded into my base. As of right now, we have a user filling out a form, and after it’s submitted, I want that to trigger the name changing. I have a field that is automatically created with a formula based on information captured in the form that I want the name changed too. I’ve been looking at using the Airtable automation feature, but after trying a bunch of things, I can’t get it to work (perhaps I’m just too new at this) I also feel like maybe using a script might be the answer, but I don’t know how to do that, and if that’s the path to get this to work, I’ll need your help too :slightly_smiling_face: . Ultimately, I’m not sure and was hoping you (the community) might know. Thanks in advance everyone!
I created a hyperlink in a long text type field, with rich text formatting enabled in gallery view. Works good. But when folks click on the link, the whole card opens. Is there a way, in a long text field with hyperlink, to go directly to the linked URL and not open the card.
Hi all!I publish lots of blog posts about a variety of topics and I have huge comma-separated lists of keywords for each blog post that get fed into a search mechanism for readers to be able to find content that resonates with them.I’m wondering if there’s a way to track all those keywords so that I can see, for example, how many blog posts share the keyword of “tree”? I definitely don’t want to have to select from a multi-list each time I’m entering 50 keywords per blog post, so if I have to just paste the list into a field each time, that’s fine, but it would be nice to be able to have them pointing to a complete list where I can then see how many blog posts we have per each keyword. Thanks in advance!
Hello! We have a dashboard interface that we share with our clients. While we filter the elements of the dashboard to show records only where an email field in the record is the same as the login email of the Airtable account, anyone can still see a full list of who has access to the dashboard and their Airtable email addresses. This has been brought up as a concern as various countries would see that as a possible privacy infringement since contact information is shared. Is there a way to hide this information to others that also have visibility of a public shared link (be it to a base, or interface)?
Not sure if this is possible as I just started using Airtable. I created a formula for contracts based on Start Dates and Contract Term that will give me an Automatic Original End Date. Then I have another Field for Bonus weeks which will give me a “Final End Date” I am looking for a way to make the Final End Date field a Date/Time instead of a Formula field so that I can sort and group a certain way from a Date. Is this possible?
We have three bases in Airtable, two of which are experiencing issues. The first base works as expected, allowing users to tab between cells, use arrow keys to navigate within cells, and copy-paste data smoothly. However, the second and third bases both have significant problems. In the second base, users can only copy or edit cells by double-clicking into them, and when tabbing, it only interacts with elements outside of Airtable in the browser—arrow keys also don't work. The third base is even more problematic, where none of the usual keyboard navigation features work. Tabbing and using the arrow keys have no effect, and users are stuck on the originally selected cell, unable to move or interact with other cells at all. No recent changes have been made.
I would like to resubmit a two year old feature request that would greatly simplify everyday work with Airtable:Proposed Feature:Allow users to temporarily enable or disable conditions in filters, groupings, and sorts, without having to delete and recreate them. What problem does this solve?Currently, a user must delete a condition to disable it and then manually recreate it later. This process is time-consuming, error-prone, and unnecessarily complicated. How would this feature help?A simple toggle on/off option would let users quickly test different views or check data without losing their existing settings. This would significantly improve flexibility and efficiency.Who would benefit?Every user who works with complex views and wants to switch between different settings easily.I hope you consider adding this widely requested feature to your product roadmap. Thank you for your attention and for continuously improving Airtable.
Hi there, I’m just wondering if anyone has tested the new Sandbox beta yet? This looks like something that would be really beneficial to us, but having never used anything like it I’m interested to hear other people’s experiences before enabling it. An example of something I’m not sure about is that I will sometimes have to make bulk changes to data when making field changes (eg splitting or consolidating fields), which may still be getting edited in Production while I’m making the changes in Sandbox. Does Airtable do anything to manage this? Looking forward to hearing your experiences. Thanks,Josh
Hi Everyone,Hope you can help me out please.I have a table with a client session log adding a new record for each client when they have another session: I would like to be able to show how many sessions each client has had (eg the maximum number of sessions). In this case for Jamie it will show 3.I want to be able to bring the name and number of sessions into a report - Jamie - 3, Siobhan - 2, as a list.Could anyone please help me to generate this field so that I can pull it into a report? Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this if you are able.Kind regards,Siobhan
Hi Airtable team,I've encountered a Unicode-related issue with the “contains” filter in Airtable that leads to inconsistent and unexpected behavior when searching for certain characters – specifically, characters like “ü” stored as composed Unicode sequences.🧪 Reproduction Scenario:I'm importing records from an external API into Airtable. These records include names with the word “Vorzüge”, but the “ü” character is stored as a composed form:u (U+0075) + combining diaeresis ¨ (U+0308) – rather than as a single precomposed character ü (U+00FC).Example records: 📂 Vorzüge record A (with composed “ü”: u + ¨) 📂 Vorzüge record B (with normal/precomposed “ü”) 🧩 Problem: When using the "contains" filter on the field and typing "Vorzüge", only the record with the precomposed “ü” (U+00FC) is matched. The record with the composed form (U+0075 + U+0308) is not found, even though the text appears identical. However, the global Airtable search (e.g., Cmd/Ctrl + K or in-table search) does re
Is it possible to invoice multiple customers at once for the same item? Background: I publish a newsletter and charge a yearly subscription. I rebill them for a renewal on the month they signed up one year later. I have normal turnover so I mange my list. I was thinking I could create groups by renewal month and price level (I have three price levels, no sales tax, very simple) and add my customers to their assigned group. Then at the start of each month Invoice that group and it would create an invoice for each member of the group with the same item. I would like to avoid having to create an invoice for each customer which can range from 30-175, depending on the month. Side note: The reoccurring billing in my accounting software is clunky and with airtable I’m trying to build a CRM/Membership Management+Invoicing in one, the cleanness and quick drill down appeals to me. I’ve looked at other options but my customer base skews older (Farmers) and 75% pay by check. Any help or suggestion
I need a form where clients can enter there data and as many fotos as they want taken directly with the ipad. I see from the similar topics results that there is a feature request for conditional formatting - if that has been done, please mention how to find it, or if it is a paid option? I’m trying to create a column that flags members of a specific category and their expiration date. SO - ideally, top level members (let’s say Platinum), with an expiration date greater than TODAY, would show in red, or have a checkbox or something. With expiration dates less than TODAY, would have an X. The base currently contains a linked field for member category, and a field for expiration date. Suggestions on how to achieve the desired goal described above, either as formatting the record (or fields in the record) or by updating a flag field that has blanks, checks or Xs. Thoughts?
I couldn’t find anything specifically answering this and it may be a dumb question. Within our workspace we have a base that has tables for the various types of common data we use, and that data is synced to its respective databases for each department. The particular table I’m looking at contains common site locations that are used across the board. These site locations are synced to each respective department. However, each department may have their own unique sites to add. Is it possible to keep the common sites synced and also give each department the ability to add their own sites to that same table in their respective bases?
I find dark mode uncomfortable and want to change it on the community area i.e. these pages. Cant see anything under settings
Hello, I have an airtable to track travel & accommodation requests for our company. I need to export information from a record into an editable template document to send travel information for approval, preferably in an excel template. I have been working on creating a document using the ‘documint’ extension but I’d prefer the flexibility to add additional information once it has been exported from airtable. Is there a way to export from airtable to an excel template? Or word, or another similar program?
Hello to all, I have created a form to receive data, and when I submit the form, I redirect it to a documint url to generate a pdf file. (more info Document Generation Link - documint) All good so far, but I have not been able to pass a dynamic image to form the pdf, in the template variables in documint. Greetings and thanks
