Hi Community, I love AirTable. However, I’m running into some low-code architecture dilemmas and could really use your help. We are building a web-application to easily work with European regulation. Complying to these regulations, requires filling out a ton of details about a business activity such as the CO2 emissions, gender diversity etc. You can compare our functional requirements to tax tools such as TurboTax. For anyone not familiar with TurboTax, we need to following components: Member portal Users should be able to register, login and have access to user specific, or team specific private content. Data I/O Users need to specify details about business activities such as its CO2 emissions through a smart form in a browser. The complexity of the information is quite high. Hi, I’m currently testing the app to see if we can incorporate it into our company. My main issue is the way that data can be formulated in order to display desired visual data in charts. I want to make a visualization of data for Comparison between Anticipated revenue and Actuals revenue, Actuals revenue, per client, per month, and the set goal for the year. The Vision App requires an API Key. The API Key is visible to all collaborators. Google specifies that API Keys should not be exposed in code, as this is a security problem. I attempted to “restrict” the API so that I could at least limit usage to airtable / vision. But I got an error related to OAuth. Am I misunderstanding something about the potential security implications? Why would this app be designed to keep the API exposed? Thanks for any advice!

I’m using page designer to create reference documents for each of the clients who have scheduled visits to my organization to take part in our outreach programming. The page references information from a “Client” table which in turn links to a table called “Group Visits” listing all of the visit dates for clients coming to the organization. The date or dates that a Client will be visiting are shown as a table in the Page Designer Block along with additional data from the “Group Visits” table. Included in the data is a “Status” column which is a single select filed indicating whether the visit is “pending”, “booked”, "cancelled’ or “completed”. I want to be able to filter the linked records so that “Group Visit” entries with statuses of “Completed” or “cancelled” no longer show up in the table on the page designer block. I’d like to program certain fields to perform iterative calculations in Airtable. Does anyone know what coding language is acceptable to program a data field? Or, do I have to run some other application (e.g. google sheets, excel, access, etc.), have that application pull airtable data, and then have it push back that data to Airtable? thanks

Hi friends! I’ve been using the new when webhook received automation trigger and was wondering if there was a way to “silence” the response. Currently, Airtable returns {success: true}, which some sites take issue with – they consider an empty 200 as a success and anything else as an error of some kind to be reported. I noticed that Zapier’s webhook functionality has a checkbox to enable “Silent Mode”, which responds with an empty body. I’m wondering if similar functionality either exists already in Airtable (and I’ve somehow missed it), or if there might be plans to implement something similar. Thanks!

I have been using the CSV import app for quite sometime and have had no issues . But of late I am having issues with import of date fields. The date field when imported shows future dates. I tried various options for formatting the date field , but I still have problems. Since my process is automated, I cannot manually change a text field to a date field . Is this a BUG ? Has any one faced it ? I think there could be work arounds , but this is something like a new issue which I never faced before. Thanks.

My goal is to design a page in page designer and have a PDF version of the result automatically go into an attachment field in AirTable for each record. Users would not use the page designer but just open the attachment to view or print. I have never used the page designer so a detailed step-by-step would be appreciated.

Hello, We’re using Airtable as an ordering system for our work with another company. I currently have an order form built out, that after submitting, auto assigns a driver. I also have an automation set up to send the driver an email with all of the necessary delivery information. But the driver will need to go to a store to pick up the ordered items for the day. Is it possible to build something out in Airtable that can check the ordered items against an inventory sheet, and return the store that has all of the item?. It might also be necessary for me to add in a preferential list based on either the driver’s starting location or the location of his first delivery. Does anyone have any ideas on how this might be possible? I would prefer not to use an outside company’s app to integrate, but if it is the only way you can think of, I am open to hearing it.

I am new to Air Table. I am trying to create a work flow for job applicants. We need two forms, the initial application, and follow-up questions. Once someone submits the follow-up questions I need to somehow link the data to their initial application, automatically. As we receive many applications. I am not sure how to accomplish this look-up, and update. Any suggestions would be super helpful. job

Is it possible to view the map via the mobile app? How else could I access it while on my mobile. It works great on the desktop, but I can’t see any way to make it work on my phone.

Hi - please help, bit confused. I published a base up into the Airtable Universe (and luckily saved the link for it). If I search the Airtable Universe, I can’t find it anywhere. Any idea what’s going on? It’s a LinkedIn SSI Tracker (your Social Selling Index score on LinkedIn). The Universe base can be found here - but you cannot find / search for it via the Airtable Universe page. Any ideas? I’m presuming that nobody else can find / search for this? Hi everyone, Was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which would be better between the Maps app and Vega-Lite if my goal is to take a table with 11 geographic regions, shade them on a world map based on a roll-up value in the table, and then add marks for listed locations within those regions (already have the latitude/longitude for them). I thought some sort of layering in Vega would work, but I’m honestly having more trouble with the shading part than the individual marks. Would be thankful for any input!

Hi all, I have 2 tables in a base (Businesses & Users); I’m using the scripting block to upload a JSON file and add new records to the bases if they don’t already exist. Attached are the screenshots of the 2 tables and the script. When the ‘Users’ & ‘Businesses’ fields in the 2 tables are not linked, I can update the records with the script, but when they are linked, I get the following error when I run the script. I have a base to keep track of the FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION of each of our FILMS. In table 1, I record the participation of each FILM on different festivals (which I pull from a FESTIVAL DB in table 2). This means that on table 1, on the first field {FILMS} film1, film2, film3 are recurrent values, appearing in as many records, as festivals where they get invited. In table 1, I include a text field named {SOCIAL MEDIA} where I include the film’s social media related profiles and hashtags. I do that on the first occurrence of each film on a record. MY PROBLEM: I can’t figure out a way to either LOOKUP, ROLLUP, or find a FORMULA to reproduce the info I entered in {SOCIAL MEDIA} for a particular FILM X in a record to another record in the same table where FILM X appears. In my mind is like making an intra-table “related field” but I cannot figure out how to do it.! We used to hit the 20GB Attachment space, base limit about every 4 months. Our work around was to create archive attachment bases by duplicating the base. Then we would delete the older attachments in our working base. Now, we want to bring some of those attachments back. I am struggling to find the right solution to link or line up the records properly to bring the attachments back. I thought I could create a new table with an ID to link the tables and the attachment fields. The obvious choice for the ID was to use the RECORD_ID(), but I learned the duplicated bases created new RECORD_ID()s. I tried a few formulas to create the ID using create date and other fields, but they were not discrete when multiple records were imported at the same time or duplicated. Anyways, I have looked around and I tried few things. I am I am looking for ideas. Thank you in advance.

I have a base with a table full of tags that is used to tag different items along different dimensions. Each item can be tagged in alot of differnt categories. I’m trying to use airtable in conjunction with Bubble.io and it seems I’ll make life easier for myself if I rename the linked fields back in my tag table to something more meaningful rather than tablename 1, tablename 2, tablename 3… Is there a quick way to see what these field corresponds to, so I don’t have to toggle between tables and try to match up which tags are present where?

I am trying uploading an image from webflow form to airtable using zapier. All the form data like name, email, etc are getting added to the table when I submit the form except for the attached image. The image column (Attachment) is always empty. Hi all, first time posting to the forum and hope to become a fellow positive contributing member to the group. I’m looking to design a few different community apps using no code tools with Airtbable as the database. One of the common use cases will be some sort of ongoing activity tracking (ex. # of miles ran, # of calories eaten, # of pushups, etc) or budget tracking ($ spent on rent, $ spent on food, etc) and questions that would require simple text answers (how do you feel today?) I really like the flow of Typeform or even Jotform (free tier) and was thinking I could somehow use either of those tools to collect the user data which gets sent to Airtable but not sure if it’s possible to save it so that the same user can login to some front end tool (ex. Softr or Pory), go to my Typeform link, and it gets saved to their user record in Airtable (did that make sense?) Lastly, if this isn’t possible with Typeform, can I even do this with Airtable fairly easily or will it be a long missi
