Hello! I need some help. When working with Zapier to connect Airtable and Asana, I am running into an issue that just started happening. My Zapier automation is failing on the last step (3. Update Record in Airtable) with the following message: The app returned “You are not permitted to perform this operation because the field or table has been configured to limit who can perform this operation”. I have no fields that would be causing this issue and the table itself is not restricted (everyone in my base is a creator). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello, Just one quick question about Table Sync. Since we are new to Airtable and just started exploring it, trying to build our workflows and see if it can fit our needs, we thought to start utilizing this sync from the start for updating and maintinging some shared information. Basically, we wanted to have on “Global” base where we could put tables with our clients, contacts, suppliers etc. and then sync those tables to other bases for our other departments. This way we won’t need to make separate tables for each department and would have single point that needs to be updated and maintained. Question here is, there is no way for people in those other departments to update for example client list from their base (where they would have clients table synced from “Global”), only option is to update existing fields with button column option?. They would need to have access to “Global” database and directly add new client in origin table? Idea was to restrict access to this “Global” base s

I’m back to using Airtable after a relatively long hiatus, and in my OLD bases, I could copy a row of data from my “TASK - CURRENT” tab, and move it to my “TASK-COMPLETED” tab (same base, identical data fields, etc.) by selecting the row, hitting “CTRL+C”, going to the Completed Tab, creating a new row, and hitting “CTRL+V”. I’ve tried everything, including going back to my OLD bases and doing exactly that. I can’t, however, find ANY way to copy/paste or move a row to a different tab within this NEW base. Would love to call support, but… Any info would be MUCH appreciated!

I have URL fields for my contacts twitter, facebook and instagram accounts. I am trying to create a index card in page designer, and include those fields. However, instead of it showing the full linked addresses, is there anyway to just put a twitter, facebook graphic and when i click that graphic it opens the URL?

I’m using the CSV Import App to pull data into Airtable and update changes from the source. I don’t want users to edit the fields I’m filling, but I want the changes to come over. What permission level do I need to set for that to keep working? Nobody, Specific Users, Creators and Up, Editors and Up? Thanks in advance,

Hi! We recognised there is a “Gantt View BETA” (not the Gantt App) availale in the Views section. But it seems it is available ony for Admins. When will this be available for creators and will it also be available for free plans?

Hello Everybody I was wondering If I can do the following Can I include some Checkbox field And A 5-star Rating field from a form I have created in Airtbale ( embedded inside ) an email body: I will automatically trigger under certain conditions? I want some of my clients to react right away when they receive an automated email, and when they tick the checkbox and give the star rating, that should be reflected inside my view in Airtable right away. Airtable charts app doesn’t have an option to get html which can then be embedded in another site. Miniextensions.com also doesn’t allow you to have multiple lines in one line graph so its not what i’m looking for. I have been trying to figure out if there is a library out there I can send my data to from airtable to render an html string of this chart, or maybe even an image. Python friendly tools would be best since I am most comfortable with that language. Anyone have any tips?

I’m curious if there is a way to have a “rule” to check for duplicates in a field(s)? I know there are apps for that, like Dedupe to use in dashboards, but I was hoping there was a rule or some where of showing’highlighting like in Excel.

Hi - I am brand new to Airtable so apologies in advance. I have set up A base with several tables, each with a date and time section for example time & date to do a viewing of a property and in another table time and date to prompt me to do follow up a phone call to a lead. I therefore have several default calendars, one from each of the several tables, which is frustrating. I cannot see one single calendar view option / location combining all of those calendars from each table into one single calendar for the entire base. Also the calendars are just date only, but not the time as well, which for appointments is kind of crucial. Are the issues I am experiencing because I am not on a paid plan while I am trying out the platform? Or is this just the way it is? I just want one joined up calendar that syncs with my Icalender and that syncs both ways. So anything I put into my single Airtable base is synched to my Icalnder and everything I out in my Icalander is also singed to my base c

Hi Everyone, I run an Artist Agency and I use an Airtable record to store all of my artists data. When they are booked for a gig I have to fill in a very specific booking form provided by the client as an Excel Sheet. Does anyone know if there is a tool that would allow me to populate such an Excel Sheet/or Google Sheet Form with the specific requested data from the Airtable record? I did look at Zapier but it doesn’t seem to provide that functionality as I would be mapping the data from the Airtable record to specific cells on the Google/Excel Sheet. Thanks for your help. Gary

Having an issue with Date formatting which seemed simple. Here is my issue. My primary key shows the correct EST time as the published date. I am trying to use pory.io for a gallery and used a field called Date Formatted with the following command. It works great but is off by 5 hours which I assume is GMT time. How do I format this primary key to take into consideration the GMT difference? DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Published}, ‘MM-DD-YYYY hh:mm’)

Has anyone been able to create an update automation to have data go from Airtable to Salesforce. We tried using Zapier, but it only lets us do it for “New Records,” not current ones

Here is the scenario. I have a formula field in Table A {Loan Amount}, that calculates the loan amount based on two other fields in Table A. Based on the resulting value in that {Loan Amount} formula field, I would like to to reference the cost of title insurance (the cost of title insurance is based on the {Loan Amount} in Table A). Is it possible to have a field in Table A that references this cost from Table B, based on the calculated {Loan Amount} field from Table A? If not, is there another way I could maybe handle this?

I’m having an issues with the filters. When I select several filters to look at specific data entries the filter will change on its own. Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can stop it?

I’ve read a bit on this discussion group that it isn’t possible (you can’t hide or make the field read-only). I suspect this form is pointing to a custom view, but I’m looking to have personalised forms, where a field is specific for the user, and they can’t change it. Many thanks, DIgby

I am attempting to set up an automation and have a script update a linked field in a table. When testing my script the output gives me this error. “Your script has a syntax error” (adding this for search engines cause I could not find this on google at all) The bit of code that makes this error happen is this (it has no syntax highlighted saying it’s an error) await customersTable.updateRecordAsync(depo, { 'Dams': dogs }) depo is from here let depo = depositors.getRecord(depositors.recordIds[index]) depo looks like this when logged: {id: "rec1231412312", name: "Some name"} dogs is an array of objects (“dog” records) like this. I’m not sure where to go from here cause this error leads me nowhere. I have tried just passing an array of IDs. I’ve tried passing an array of objects with just the IDs and not the name. Nothing has worked so far. Is anyone able to tell me what I’m doing wrong?

I have an address field that opens the location in google maps when clicked. It works fine when logged in as a creator or editor but doesn’t open Maps when logged in as a read only viewer. I don’t get an error it just does nothing. Any idea how to resolve? Thank you!

Hi! I’m trying to figure out a way to get data from ‘Table B’ to ‘Table A’ based on the value of a field in Table A. It looks as follows: I have an entry in Table A, for which I select ‘device’, ‘pagetype’ and ‘country’. For the combination of these three fields I want to create a unique identifier, so I’ve added a formula column: This would result in for example MobileHomepageGermany. In Table B I have set a ‘value’ for MobileHomepageGermany of 100. I want to lookup this value and add it to a column in Table A. So I add an entry, select device, page, and country, and then I want the value to show up in that Table in that row. I’ve been trying to figure this out for 1,5 hours, but its probably a simple solution right? Thanks in advance.
