Hey team! When a new record is added, I would like for a drop down option to be automatically selected. For example: When the record for Aqua Lily Pad is added, I’d like “Inventory Arrived?” to automatically select “Inventory Not Arrived” (option not shown) and “Program Status” to be “In Program”. Is this possible?

Is there a way to add a time of day column? We have sessions starting at certain times. Don’t need the date. Also, I was doing a test where I added time as 24 hour time as a single select. It won’t sort properly.

I and a few team members use airtable for some document tracking at work. I built a very simple expense report base on the side that is essentially just two tables: 1 for “reports” and 1 for “expenses”. A bunch of expense records link to one report record, and a roll-up totals all the expenses. I threw together a simple page-designer template to re-create our company’s standard excel form (yes, we still use excel and a bunch of cobbled together receipts, its a mess) that pulls in the linked records from the expenses table to make a grid and then the roll-up in the report table to give the total. What I can’t figure out how to do is to include all the attachments for receipts and invoices I am expensing for. What I want to do is create a new expense line in the new table, put in the date and the vendor and the total, and then attach a PDF of either the receipt or the invoice from the vendor. Hi Everyone, We’ve just discovered that about a month ago, we managed to mistakenly change a huge amount of information in a multiple-select column. It’s a mystery, because not all entries are changed… but it looks like maybe 4/5ths of the data are now incorrect. It looks like it would have taken a lot of thought to do this and we cannot fathom how it was done by mistake. In case this clarifies it at all, the column is for countries (in which orgs work). All countries plus a few broad regions are listed there, and orgs have anywhere from zero to 20 or more countries listed. It appears that all INDIAs have become SPAIN, all CHINAs have become JAPAN, GREECE has remained GREECE in some places but become POLAND in other records, WORLDWIDE has remained WORLDWIDE, BOLIVIA has become AUSTRALIA (and on and on). Hi everyone, Recently started using Airtable as a bug tracker to get notifications in discord. We’re currently using an Airtable form to populate bug and can / cannot reproduce data. This is posted by Zapier to our server. What I’m trying to do now is connect Discord to Airtable and when a user can/cannot reproduce an issue, they will type in a channel and it will post a new record in Airtable. Our can / cannot reproduce is in a separate table from the bugs / issues and we’re using a linked field to identify title of bug. When I go to connect Discord to Airtable via Zapier, I cannot seem to get the bug title field? Also wondering how I would declare my bug title and repro steps in a single discord message? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I do have a datetime field containing,… well, date and time. I’m building a view now for a export and I need the filter to only show me certain entries prior to a special time (not only date). It looks like the filter does only take dates and not a time - at least I couldn’t find a syntax that works. How do I filter and show only entries that happened before a certain date AND time? Hello, I have a table that has a Date Field. I wanted to use the filter option for a table to filter date records for a specific year such as only show dates that are 2020. With a date field, I don’t have an option to choose a date for a year. Is it possible to use a formula in this Filter section?

Hello! I’m pretty new to Airtable and can’t seem to find if there is an app that does what I’m looking for. I’ve built a base of solution providers that my company partners with - it details all kinds of services they provide and what platforms they work with, along with other info about them. What we’re looking to do is have a single landing page our sales agents can access where they can enter the different criteria to match up one of our users with the right provider for them based on the various criteria they enter. For example, one of our users needs a provider that provides web design services for ecommerce stores and is certified to work with the BigCommerce platform. In the landing page they would select “design servicest” for the service and “BigCommerce” for the supported platform. Hi! I want to add a formula field that returns today’s date + a certain number of days. The number of days added to today’s data varies by row. For example: Row one has a production time of 12 days, Row two has a production time of 4 days. I would like to add a column that takes today’s date, and adds 12 to it for the first row, and 4 to it for the second row. Is this possible? Thanks in advance, M

I have a column in a table formated as rich text. I want to auto populate other cells in the same column with the same rich text in the first cell when a status in another column changes from “empty” to “is not empty”. I update a record once a response is received and need to auto populate a check-box set of data in another cell once the status is updated. Other option maybe? Batch update rich text? Anyone know how to do this? Thank you!

I have a database with multiple tables (tabs) but I only want to share one of them with my customers and I would like for them to only be able to have access to edit one field within that table. This would allow them to keep track of inventory and work done while having it synced up to my database. Is this doable? Thanks Brad

Hello, We want to recover the data we have in Google Data Studio to integrate it into Airtable. The data has to be synchronized between the two, meaning that when the data from Google data studio changes, it has to change in Airtable as well. Ideally, the data should be in real time. While Airtable does EVERYTHING we need it to do – we can’t use it because it is not Hipaa compliant . Can anyone recommend another platform as good as Airtable? We have a very simple flat database used for tracking surgical data There are 15+ fields Some text fields Two date fields Several combo Felds Several check box fields ** One attachment field that can accommodate multiple attachments ** We have multiple views to look at the database and allow users to EASILY filter by DR and date, and edit/print the records. We would like to be able to customize the input form more – but it is great that it accessible from all the different views The search capability from multiple views is nice too. The ability to see many fields in the horizontal view is great and the ability when printing to shrink the font size to fit data horizontally is huge. Hello Everyone! I use AT to generate a complicated cost and quotation document for our business and a part of that step is copying and pasting data from AT to a google sheets template. Recently when pasting data, random rows will not paste properly. In the same table and view columns will paste in different orders. Check this link for an example I sent to the customer service team. Hello I am monitoring many projects at one time on a base. I have different pages/tabs on my base that categorise the projects from imminent, current and completed. I have filtered the entries of the projects by name of the project on each page/tab so that I can follow the allocation of spend of each. Once the project is complete I want to move all those entries on the “current” page/tab to the “completed” page/tab. I have tried to copy and cut as you would usually do on excel and it doesn’t work. Hello, I’m trying to import accounting from a CSV file in Airtable. In the CSV file the number is formatted like this : 3240,50 (European format - Three thousand two hundred forty Euro and fifty Cents) When i import in Airtable it become : 324,050.00 (US format) (It can change depending on how i set up the decimal on the field) The result is a wrong number so i can’t use it as it is. I’m quite new on Airtable so i hope to find a quick fix. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

I am using Airtable as a database for a sports team. Ultimately I will be placing this data on a website. I need to be able to track player stats in a table, and then career stats in another table. Is there a way for two tables to talk, and automatically add the career stats? Lets say I have three tables… Teams… Player (Current Season)…And…Player (Career Total) Can current season and player communicate? Is there a good way to organize this data? I am very new to this… Any suggestions are helpful…

Don’t see a lines/polygons feature in Map App (I’ve asked support to verify) to group sites by geography. Anybody built or integrated a 3rd party app to do that?

Is there anyway to customize how Airtable sorts alphabetically in grid view? For example, I’m sorting names with accent marks and AirTable puts the (e.g., Sáblan sorts last after Sanchez rather than first).

Not sure if I am using the right terminology but… I want make a link (term?) to an Excel file on our company network drive. I just want to hit link and have Excel file open. No plans to load data into Airtable (at this time). This file is update regularly by various users who sign into our company system.
