Hi everyone,I'm new to Airtable and really excited about using it! I'm trying to create a simple feedback form with four options, where one option is selected based on a URL parameter. I can get the selection to work when I use the ?prefill_type=xxxx parameter in the URL while logged in. For example:...airtable.com/appZv5lCwXXXXXXX/pagY4IFXXXXXX?prefill_type=xxxxHowever, this link only works for logged-in users. To make the form publicly accessible, I add /form to the URL like this:...airtable.com/appZv5lCwXXXXXXX/pagY4IFXXXXXX/formThis public link works, and anyone can fill out the form. But when I try to add the ?prefill_ parameters, they don't populate the fields. For example:...airtable.com/appZv5lCwXXXXXXX/pagY4IFXXXXXX/form?prefill_type=xxxxThe fields are not prefilled. My issue is that I can't get the prefill function to work in public forms, but it works when I'm logged in. I've searched for information but haven't found a solution. Maybe it's something simple I'm missing.Thank
Hi Good Airtablers:We upgraded to Enterprise in part for the Salesforce and Jira integration, but it seems that all synced bases are read-only. Is there a setting that can enable changes in Airtable to be upserted into Salesforce?I feel like this feature was there when our AE demo-ed it to us.Can anyone from Airtable show me how to edit from Airtable into Salesforce? And what the current limitations are.
I went to get into my airtable this morning, and it told me that I needed to request access. I am the person who set this up, and when it sent me the email to have the owner approve it, when I went to approve it, I got “This access request is no longer valid." I have a lot of data that I need access to. Please advise how I can recover my airtable.
I need to change the name and email for one of our accounts — new employee name, new employee email address. The login is currently "login with Google" — which I don't have a problem with. I have access to that email and I'm logged in (former employee email). Airtable states that in order to update the email address and the name, I first have to "add a password" and that "an email has been sent to [former employee email address] to add a password" — I am logged into this email account, and the email has never been received. I have repeated this step nine or ten times and have never received the email. What are next steps? I've also contacted support, for whatever that is worth.

My goal is to use Airtable's built-in features, along with custom automation, to streamline the process without relying on third-party tools.The problem is that, when a sale is recorded in the Sales Table, I need to automatically update the quantity in stock for the corresponding product in the Inventory Table. Hi - please note, I have searched all over support and community pages and cannot get a good answer. I am trying to embed a form on our website, and need to configure what happens “after the form is submitted”. Initially, we had a message, however, in the form itself on our site, that message appears midway down the form box (frame) – and cannot actually be seen. I would like to bring this up to the top of the form. This should be simple, I thought… but no. Then I tried to set a redirect to a “thank you” page on our site. When the form is submitted, a very ugly message pops up that the user will be redirected to said URL - and then it doesn’t and a new blank form appears. Again, this is not seamless. Any help on either above would be terrific. Thank you!
Imagine that we create two records in a table:1. The first is created through a form submission, so many of its fields are filled in at (or near) the instant that the record is created.2. The second is created by using the "+" button on a grid view. The record itself is created, then fields are populated as the user fills them in.Is there a term/pair of terms used to describe the "completeness" of a record upon creation? As in, the record created in scenario 1 is said to be **insert word here**, while the record created in scenario 2 is **insert other word here**.I often find myself asking other users how records are created in their bases in order to determine what types of automations are appropriate (ie. The "When a record is created" trigger can only be relied upon when you know that the necessary fields are populated on the record's creation). What word or phrasing is usually used for this?I'm ideally looking for the academic term but I'd love to hear anything that everyone else u

Is there any way to create an http link to the trashcan? I would like to have a page in the interface that is titled "Trash" and has a button that links to the recently deleted items.
It would be nice to use a windows tablet to input records but the scroll bars appear to be locked in position, has anyone had this problem and is there a fix or a setting to alter, tablet is a Lenovo yoga 2 running Windows 10, Regards Andrew
Issue with Embedded Public Sharing Interface on MobileI created an interface and set it to public sharing. After embedding the code into my website, I noticed the following behavior:On desktop: Everything works perfectly. When I enter the password in the pop-up window, the main page refreshes and displays the correct content.On mobile: After entering the password, the content loads inside the pop-up window instead of refreshing the main page to display it.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could this be an Airtable system error, or might it be related to my website settings?
I was trying to make a form that was sort of an order form and my formula field with the total cost of the items wasn’t on my form. I had no way to add it. I tried on a form for another table that was similar and it didn’t work there either. Is this not currently supported?
Is there a way to use HTML tags in a Form? Also can a form be configured so it is viewable in full screen. I’m planning on creating a form that contains LOTS of verbiage and several input boxes. The data from the input boxes is emailed/saved when the form is submitted but the verbiage does not get saved.
Hi All,somehow one of my forms, accessed through a QR is asking for an email address to access it.all the other ones aren't, but this is. It has been working ok for at least a year.has someone changed the settings, if so how do I fix? thanks
I am trying to add a new option to a certain column. I use my airtable as a form to collect applications from users, but I need to update the “Session” of what they are applying for. I can’t see to add a new session that would indicate that they are applying for the next era. The only possible data that can go in this column are “Session 1” and Session 2," while I want there to be “Session 3.” The “Customizing the field type” (can’t post links here) guide might help me, but it shows menu functionality that I don’t see to have. Any ideas?
Hello Everyone,I was wondering if you can help me with something I have been working on. I currently have 3 tables in one base. One table has different names of clients (Table 1). The other table has the names of projects they are attached to with a record ID through a formula (Table 2). In Table 1, I have a linked record column to link each client to a project and there is a lookup column as well that shows the record ID of the project. Finally the 3rd table is used to store data from a form. In the form, I want to be able to have a linked record (select a client from Table 1), but I want to filter the options in the form under the linked record, so when filling out the form for one project, only clients linked to the project will show up as an option, so this could be a filter by the recordID of the project if that makes sense. Views will not work for my use because Airtable does not have a way to dynamically filter the view by different record ID's without creating a new form/view f
Would it be possible to add the “updated time” to the API response for each row returned? This is quite necessary specially when building synchronization applications. By knowing the last time a row was updated, we can either trigger a call to synchronize it or skip it completely. This would decrease the load on Airtable’s side by a lot. Currently developers are forced to just update every single record on Airtable every x hours because there is no way to know whether a record was updated or not. I can force updates on specific records by adding my own timestamp every time I synchronize but that still requires a manual process. Thanks
I would like to send a single record to an external email address. In that single record there is a field where you can attach a document. However, when I send the single record to the external email, the user cannot open the attached pdf because it is in a weird format. Also, when you view it in email it is super blurry and bad quality. The only option I have is to upload that attachment from gmail to my drive and see it as a png (meaning, if the PDF has multiple pages you can only see the first one). The goal is for the external email user to be able to download the PDF I attached to the airtable record.Thoughts? Thanks!
I've got an Interface that an employee 'Sam' has Editor access to.I have creator access.When I @ mention Sam, he doesn't get a notification and I receive a message saying "Some users weren't notified because they don't have access to this task."The record being commented on is in a table with add/delete permissions set to 'Editors and above'.Is this a bug?

I'm creating an airtable base to store member information of a makerspace. We store basic info like name, address, email and phone number. We also take their state id and record the number, in the event they do something bad like steal from our makerspace or other types of bad behavior. Note, we've never had to use this information, but oftentimes knowing that we have it is a good deterrent (I'm not going to argue that point here).My concern is that some might worry about PII on this database and the risk of identity theft. I know airtable uses encryption going back and forth (according to my googles), but how safe is that really? I will need to defend us doing this as some of my board members are super sensitive to any risk. Also, I suppose it might be able to be encrypted on the table, if we have a way to unjumble it later. And.... I realize that the other stuff, name, address etc is also PII, but apparently the ID is what is freaking some of the people out.Thoughts?
I am looking to make a reviews website, like a business directory with reviews. Is something like this possible in airtable for each listing?
When I click in the field to link a record, a panel pops up showing all the records from the other table that I can search through. It also previews some relevant fields for each record on the little card. How does AirTable choose which fields are shown here? As you can see in my attached image, there are 4 fields being previewed. I would like to show a different field called “Category”, instead of the “Framecount” field.
Hello, On an airtable registration form that has a required field for DOB, some users have made error on their years of birth (for example 2023 instead of 2003) . Then they submit it and it fills the table with wrong data without them being aware of it. Is there a way that I can set the minimum date of birth to 01/01/2007 for example, so that the forms can alert the user that the date is incorrect at the time of form submission ? If not, which other way is possible ?
Really excited about the new permissions for the interfaces :raised_hands: Now maybe I am just not seeing the option, but is there any way to add a simple password protect for viewing the interface? Like we have for sharing specific views? Thanks!
