When I adjust a predecessor to end earlier, how do I get the successor to also start earlier? ie - how do i create a fixed finish-to-start dependency with a fixed amount if time between them? This is how every other gantt schedule program I’ve used does it ( ex. finish-start + 0 days )

I’ve a Pro workspace so was hoping to achieve my desired outcome with the Page Designer Block. Although I can get the layout I want, I can’t easily export a png or JPEG for quick use on social media. I’m new to Airtable so think I must be missing something obvious. I’ve done a lot of searching but haven’t found anything suitable so if anyone has any advice I’d be grateful. My objective: I have a base with a sports team’s player names and their photo. The team manager selects the team by adding the chosen players to a multi-select field. I then want a single team image of the players’ names, their photos (from the base). If you’ve ever watched sports you will have seen this sort of thing a lot at the start of matches. My current workaround is to use the Page Design Block and show the custom page full screen and take a screenshot. I’m worried the only elegant solution is some custom Python with the API so I’m hoping someone can suggest a more time-efficient route!

I cannot figure out how does Integromat Trigger field work? What does it actually mean? I point IM to watch an Airtable and set the Trigger field to date created? I run the scenario and it pulls the record. I I run it again, it gives me “null” result. Does IM look for the latest item in the table and once it registers it, it never touches it again? What if there is is more than one entry? Can someone please explain the flow behind the Trigger field?

Attachment field type has a nice preview element for audio files. They can be played by clicking on the ‘play’ icon. Is there a keyboard shortcut for playing those file? I didn’t find it in the official list.

Not 100% sure where this should go but: I am using airtable as a database for the teas we have in stock. However, when a tea goes out of stock, I would like to mark the item as “finished” and relocate it to a new table automatically so it isn’t included in the main count and doesn’t clutter up the table. While I know I can do that using a filter, people who are unfamiliar with airtable (or even spreadsheets/databases) have found this difficult. I don’t want to lose the information entirely since it lets me know if something we got didn’t go over well and we don’t want to purchase again or if it’s something we really enjoyed, I want to be able to quickly add it back to the main table. Please let me know if this is possible? I’d rather avoid manually moving this data but understand if that’s the only way.

I have a separate table for contacts, name, email, tel, address, etc. In the primary field, I enter the person’s name, eg. John Smith. Having read somewhere useful for the base design to have separate fields for a person’s name, I have added two fields immediately to the right of the primary, field name FN (for first name) and SN (for surname). Each field option Single Select. Which means that whenever I add a record in the primary field I also have to add the person’s first and surname separately to the respective fields. I sort on primary field and that suits my needs, as in the event not finding instantly does a filter or simple search. But unless there is some benefit to the database set-up evolution in having two separate fields for FN and SN I can’t see any advantage. Is there? and if so then what is it? tia

I want to clone a field from Entity 1 to entity 2, usually this is trivial. But the field is an attachment field, “cmsLogo”. When I use values, it “works” but shows a weird formatted string. I tried other options such as values.1 and values[1] but no luck. Any idea how to get the url only?

Hi! Is it possible to save the names of uploaded files? I use Airtable to backup my Cognito forms using ZAPier. Everything works great, but filenames change during synchronization.

Is there a way to use Sort or Filter and then have each set of results be separated onto a new table (or new export)? For example, let’s say I have 3 names: Al, Beth, and Cindy. When I Sort/Filter by name, Al has 2 results, Beth has 4, and Cindy has 5. I know I can Filter by Al, Beth and Cindy separately, and then copy or export the results. Which is ok for 3 names, but very time consuming with 100 names. Is there a way to have the results by name automatically populate onto separate tables or separate exported files by name? So that Al’s results, Beth’s results, and Cindy’s results are automatically separated for me?

Hi all, I’m so new to Airtable and just working through its potential as I need it. I need to create a players’ list that reads on a form: Player 1: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx Player 2: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx Player 3: xxx Specator Name: xxx Spectator Mobile: xxx And so on and so on… I cannot figure out how to get player info on the ONE LINE in a form. Currently I have a static array in my data field where I am manually entering inputs but I want the data field to be able to read directly from a specific column array so it will update dynamically? Hello! I’m trying to automate my airtable with integromat (excel data to airtable) and I manage to do it. But the only way a found was in the record detail (level). So if i have a table with 20k records, i need to delete one by one and upload one by one too… It works but takes too much time to complete. Does anyone know how (or if its possible) to do delete all the records from the table with integromat? The same thing to upload. Thanks!

Hi everyone, We do assessments for our clients, and currently use Google Sheets to track the assessments. We might evaluate 150 things for a client, and we rate each of them with a “pass” or a “fail.” The typical sheet has the following columns: ID, Category, Description, Pass/Fail, Notes This works fine on a client-by-client basis. Where we run into trouble, though, is that the list of 150 requirements changes. What we’re hoping to find a way to do (and it would be great if Airtable is that solution) is to have a master list of the 150 requirements, and then have the client-by-client evaluations stored in separate Bases. Then, if the master list changes, say, from 150 to 155 requirements, we’d love to have any easy way to look across all of the past assessments to see which ones are missing the 5 new ones. Is there a way to do this in Airtable? It seems like the templates might not be a fit, as it seems they lose the logical connection to the original template when an instance is

Hi there, working for an investment bank and trying to get the team adopt Airtable. Reviewed the product with my IT/compliance and they loved it, except for…the ability for anyone to attach various files into fields. Is there a way to restrict this (even with custom code) as it may just stop us from using it. The issue is that they have to monitor the data flow and putting attachments in the cloud would preclude them from going outside the walls that are monitored. Thanks! Gal

I noticed in the calendar view the only way I’m finding that I organize records from an at-a-glance perspective is through the date filter. I find that this unhelpful since the whole point of the calendar is that the record will fall on the date it’s due, so I don’t need the record to show the date as the top piece of info. Because of how our team is using this view, we need it to function more as an at-a-glance calendar vs a “click to learn more details” calendar. Is there a way to show the record title instead of the date field so I can see what is due without having to select the record? Hi Airtable! I have some TV show names that have encoding issues that are causing errors in my Integromat scenario. I tried all different variations, but it’s not working. It is these names: 9-1-1: Lone Star I tried removing the hyphens, colon and spaces between the numbers, but it did not work. S.W.A.T. I removed the periods, with spaces and without spaces, but that did not work either. Law & Order: Organized Crime I tried taking out the &, colon and extra space between the colon and the word Organized, but that did not work. Any suggestions? Google sheets is not playing nice with these titles. Is there a website that I could use to change or find the cause of the error, so that I can use the title, without errors in my scenario?
