Hello Airtable community! I’m trying to set up a Zapier to send a new record to Mailchimp via Zapier. I have birthdate set in the correct format US style which is what Mailchimp is too. However it seems Airtable is sending it to Zapier YYYY-DD-MM Can anyone help me? Thank you so much!

Hi everyone, We do assessments for our clients, and currently use Google Sheets to track the assessments. We might evaluate 150 things for a client, and we rate each of them with a “pass” or a “fail.” The typical sheet has the following columns: ID, Category, Description, Pass/Fail, Notes This works fine on a client-by-client basis. Where we run into trouble, though, is that the list of 150 requirements changes. What we’re hoping to find a way to do (and it would be great if Airtable is that solution) is to have a master list of the 150 requirements, and then have the client-by-client evaluations stored in separate Bases. Then, if the master list changes, say, from 150 to 155 requirements, we’d love to have any easy way to look across all of the past assessments to see which ones are missing the 5 new ones. Is there a way to do this in Airtable? It seems like the templates might not be a fit, as it seems they lose the logical connection to

Hi there, working for an investment bank and trying to get the team adopt Airtable. Reviewed the product with my IT/compliance and they loved it, except for…the ability for anyone to attach various files into fields. Is there a way to restrict this (even with custom code) as it may just stop us from using it. The issue is that they have to monitor the data flow and putting attachments in the cloud would preclude them from going outside the walls that are monitored. Thanks! Gal

I noticed in the calendar view the only way I’m finding that I organize records from an at-a-glance perspective is through the date filter. I find that this unhelpful since the whole point of the calendar is that the record will fall on the date it’s due, so I don’t need the record to show the date as the top piece of info. Because of how our team is using this view, we need it to function more as an at-a-glance calendar vs a “click to learn more details” calendar. Is there a way to show the record title instead of the date field so I can see what is due without having to select the record? Hi Airtable! I have some TV show names that have encoding issues that are causing errors in my Integromat scenario. I tried all different variations, but it’s not working. It is these names: 9-1-1: Lone Star I tried removing the hyphens, colon and spaces between the numbers, but it did not work. S.W.A.T. I removed the periods, with spaces and without spaces, but that did not work either. Law & Order: Organized Crime I tried taking out the &, colon and extra space between the colon and the word Organized, but that did not work. Any suggestions? Google sheets is not playing nice with these titles. Is there a website that I could use to change or find the cause of the error, so that I can use the title, without errors in my scenario? Hi there, Is it possible to do a rollup field where you only add the values based on a certain criteria? Please see the graphic below which I think illustrates what I’m trying to achieve vs. what I’m currently getting with a SUM(values) rollup field. I think I have to try and write a conditional rollup. I tried this: IF({Player} = {Player}, SUM(values), 0) but with no luck (probably obviously). In plain English the formula I am trying to write is - if the player is David, show David’s career points total. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thomas.

I am tracking badges earned each year for a kids club. I have a member table that contains info about each member, such as what grade and club they are currently in. I plan to create a Badge table that will contain the names and dates for badges earned. It needs to have a separate record for each year for each child. When I create a record for a child this year, I want to use the current year, the club, and the name to generate a sort field for the record. Next year I want to be able to do the same, but the year and possibly the club will be different. I don’t want the sort field in previous records to change. Is there a way to do this without having to manually enter the sort field info?

I have the primary key column with a single line text field of venues. When I attempt to sort them in ascending order 1 record won’t sort correctly. Cate’s Place, South Australia – is sorting before Adelaide Recording Studios, South Australia. All the other records after this are sorting perfectly. I’ve even tried removing the apostrophe, but that didn’t change anything.

Full disclosure: I have absolutely zero experience with JavaScript (learning as I go!) which is why I am completely lost here and can’t do much searching in other people’s posts because I won’t understand the code. I have three templates that I want to make available to my team, all separated into views within my Marketing Tracker table (views: Webinar Template, Content Template, Event Template). The script that I currently have (below) requires me to choose one of those views (in this case, the Webinar Template). Ideally, I’d like to allow my team to 1. pick the record they are creating from (selectedEvent below) and 2. pick the template they want to create from (Webinar, Content, Event). I can’t figure out how to create two selections for the team (one to pick the record, and one to pick the template). See screenshot 1. Im looking for some support to help with block views. We have 30 + clients who are all at various stages of progress and Id like a single block view to help me see. A client paid for 10 and has 8 booked, 2 remain Overall view of meetings, ie 150 paid for - 50 booked in Status of meetings etc Airtable

I had the word ‘STUPID’ show up as the last name of one of my customers. (I have no customers with that last name.) It showed in bold up on top of the record, but not in the field, LAST NAME. The customer’s correct name was listeded in the LAST NAME field. The comment section on the right did not note that anyone had changed the name to STUPID. When I went back to check the customer’s name on the main list of customers, STUPID was no longer showing up anywhere. I feel like someone was messing things up in back of the record. There are only 4 employees who use Airtable in my office. Any ideas?

Hi. Is it possible to completely turn off sharing of the views? Our company data is private and confidential and I want to be able to completely turn off data sharing via: shareable grid view link (allows read only access to an entire view) or form view (allows data input into the base table) If this cannot be done we cannot use Airtable; it is a deal breaker for us. I am surprised there does not appear to be a simple option some where to do this. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help offered. Jim

Hi there, Quick question about the revision history. Let’s say I created a record on January 1st and then upgraded to pro on March 1st. Will I see the revision history of January and February after I upgraded? Or the revision history only keeps track WHILE in pro? Thanks!

I’m trying to show a chart where records are counted and grouped by week. Nevertheless, the weeks where there are no records do not show on the x-axis. I would have liked these weeks to appear on the timeline with the value 0 rather than not showing up at all, which is misleading.

I’m am creating a database of sighting records of bird species. Each record includes: ORDER (a taxonomic unit for a grouping of species which may include one or more FAMILIES) FAMILY (a taxonomic unit for a group of species which may include one or more GENUS) SPECIES (the individual species) DATE SIGHTED (date species seen) Etc. For reporting, sightings need to be sorted based on the standard taxonomic order of ORDER>FAMILY>GENUS>SPECIES. I imported my sightings from a CSV in the standard taxonomic order. For example, the first set of sightings include: ORDER (Anseriformes - Waterfowl) > FAMILY (Anatidae - Ducks, Geese, Swans) > SPECIES (Anas platyrhynchos - Mallard) > DATE SIGHTED (January 1, 2018) ORDER (Gaviformes - Loons, Penguins & Petrels) > FAMILY (Gavidae - Loons) > SPECIES (Gavia Immer - Common Loon) > DATE SIGHTED (January 5, 2018) My question is how I create reports that apply or f
