Hello Airtable Community, I have experienced recently a misunderstanding with an automation of Airtable. I have a Plus Plan but the number automations free are 0, It says I have done 50.000 automatizations and now I cannot try my app anymore. I don’t need even 50.000 automatizations by now but It has been a misunderstanding of an automation of “When record updates” in the Collections base. This Collections Base is linked with the products (that are 1.000) and this products are sync with Shopify AirPower API that sync the changes every time. So the solution, i think, is to do not watch this records in the automatization… but I did not noticed earlier… Is there any solution on this type of situations? I am a developer and I need to keep working with the automatizations to develop an web for my client, even upgrading to Pro Plan will stop the work f

Hi Community, I have created a form, with a number of single select fields. When you got to enter, a blank field appear above the single select options - you can click on this, but it is not showing in the field in the back end. There are two options there, but the user end you can select a third non-existent option?The single selects are required fields, and the form has existed for a while without these glitches. Any tips welcome - though FYI, scripting (which the Airtbale bot told me to do) is a bit beyond my capabilitiesThanks 

I’m trying to understand the steps for filtering views by using URL parameters, including how to call the field in the url given it’s not in English and contains spaces.I couldn’t figure it out from official documentation.Any leads will be much appreciated

I use Wix Booking App and also have an AirTable Calendar.My goal is to have Wix appointments show up on my AirTable Calendar and ALSO have any appointments made in Airtable block those times on my Wix Availability Calendar. Can this happen?  How? Thanks!

I have an airtable base that contains data from a dozen sources and lots of duplicates. The duplicates are easy to define based on phone number. With dedupe currently you have to look at each individual cluster of duplicates and select what you want to keep. That's fine for some scenarios but that should not be the only option. It would take hours for me to look at each cluster.There should be a easy way to:1- Select the fields where duplicates exist.2- Select which record to keep (most completed fields, newest, oldest, etc).3- Run it and be done.I really don't want to have to export to excel and re-import because airtable can't handle such a simple function.

Hi everyone! I need to generate the documentation of an Airtable database and I was able to use the script below, but it would be much more useful and efficient if the output were in an Airtable table (which I could easily update daily or weekly thanks to an automation). Obviously I could go ahead & code all this, but I’m quite slow with JS (rather a SQL/Python kind of guy) and was wondering if someone had already gone through the trouble… for (const table of base.tables) { output.text(table.name); output.text(table.id); output.table(table.fields); output.table(table.views); } In a perfect world, I would also love to find a way to programmatically update table and field descriptions: I am migrating data from other tools to Airtable to create beautiful workflows and I’d like to reuse existing docs to update all object’s desc at once instead of manually updating descs. table by table, field by field.

We are looking to enable users outside our domain (parents of our students) to submit a form with an attachment. If we turn on the setting "Allow unrestricted access to shared forms" at the org level what other impact might that have from a security perspective? We are using AirTable to manage very sensitive data about our students. Thanks!

Hi, I am looking into options or workarounds to check if a value of a record exists in database before submitting a form. Is there a third party software or tool that is compatible with Airtable to do this? or is there any workaround with an automation to submit the form and check if record exists. If it does not exist, open again the form and show an error message to fill out a correct email. I would appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.

Hi there, we’re new to Airtable and i have just helped one of our departments setup a workspace which is using a form to capture information via a shareable link. My question is around security, is there any sort of captcha so the form isn’t flooded with bots? Also, i don’t see where i can set an expiry to the form (say for a week or month), is that an option? Thank you

Hey everyoneThere use to be a feature for Groups in forms that seems to be missing now for new fields.When creating a form, you can create a group and add fields to that group.When you selected the Group, there was a permissions option for that Group where you can choose the fields to be editable or view-only.It appears that option is no longer available.This was incredibly useful for me. I was able to prefill fields in that group and it would prevent the end user from removing my prefilled option. This was really great when I didn't want to expose information in those fields to end user. I could prefill it and they could not edit it. But it was at least displayed there for them so they know what they were filling things out for. If this feature is gone, is there another way to prevent end users from changing prefilled fields in formsTIA!

When in data view I click a button that opens a URL, each time a new tab opens. To avoid that, I tried the trick of pressing the ⌥ button while clicking the button, but this time a .TXT file gets downloaded onto my computer on the clicking of the button.This is quite annoying, especially when you have to perform a button clicking multiple times. Do you have any solutions in store to circumvent this?I would appreciate your help on this.PS: I saw that this topic had already been covered in previous threads. But I thought that Airtable might have fixed this since the last time it was brought up.

I need to generate an image link that ends in .jpg or .png for the purpose of registering the product to GS1 (to assign a barcode). Is there a way to change the URL of my product image in Airtable so that it ends in .jpg? 

I need external parties to update existing records. I have successfully created a second base that serves as the receiver of the updated fields. I accomplished that by creating a form in the second base and using the URL from the form to create a formula field in the first base that will pass a record identifier to the second base. The URL works well and the record identifier from the first base shows up in the new record (RequestID) in the second base to match the record being updated from the first base. My problem seems to be with the automation. I am using when the form, from the second base, is submitted to trigger the automation. I then added update record to the automation. Based on a video covering the topic by Julian Post, I list the second table called New Update as the Table in the configuration. I list RequestID from the second table as the Record ID. Good day.I have a base that receives forms.  The form is a default for ALL events, and each event, via a formula, creates an unique form link that hides the event’s ID so that when someone submits a form, that ID is autofilled, and thus populated to the proper event.Now here’s the thing, I have another base where I have dropdown selections, but again this is tied differently, as the first one is tied to an unique even, so that won’t work. Hi everyone,I’m trying to set up an inspection workflow for electrical equipment on construction sites using Airtable as the main database.Each construction site has several inventory items assigned to it through a junction table.For every inspection visit, a technician should be able to:Start a new inspection report linked to one site. See all inventory items connected to that site automatically listed in a form. Record for each item: condition (OK / Defective / Needs repair), comment, and photo. Submit once → this should create: one “Inspection Report” record, and multiple “Inspection Entry” records (one per item). Hey, so my Airtable account got downgraded to a free plan, and I didn't get any warning.I had to pay extra to fix it. I emailed support over a week ago, and no response yet. I saw in other threads that my emails might not be going through because my email bounced once. I'm worried that's the problem, and I can't reach support, which means I'm missing important account updates.I guess I could change my email, but that's not ideal. Hey Airtable community - I’ve got a form we intend to use daily to catalog pictures of our daily jobs. The form I’ve made is linked to our “jobs in progress” page and the idea is then that we open the form “upload attachment”, “from camera”, and then snap a quick photo from someones, boss, employee, whoever’s phone. Then it should upload the pic and update the primary record. I’ve got it all working as intended, but the problem is the default picture size on everyones phone is 2 to 3 MB or more, and then we end up having to wait over a minute to upload different pics / angles of the job, when it should really be much faster. These pics are primarily just for liability, colour reference and potentially some social media so they don’t need to be high resolution. I was thinking maybe find a super old phone with smaller pics but seems like a wonky solution, wondering if there’s anything more elegant to speed it all up.

HiI am using Airtable with Fillout forms for a client project based in UK.  Apologies, this question is more about Fillout.I am happy that I can get request a DPA with Airtable in relation to GDPR.Fillout say that they are GDPR Ready but then state that only Enterprise customers can have data hosted in EU.Can we achieve GDPR compliance with Fillout on one of the lesser plans, with data hosted in US?Anyone in the UK in the same position who could maybe offer their thoughts?Thanks

I may be missing it, but is it possible to modify font/size of single/multi select fields in the page designer block? I can modify everything else, but I can’t seem to make these bigger or smaller or change the type of font they use.
