Hi, I have a table with a single select field called “Status” that has 3 values (Pending, Refused, Granted) I want that every new record to be receiving default “Pending” value and i also want to be able to change it afterwards to either Refused or Granted. Thank you

I have several tables in my base.For each table, I import, on a monthly basis, an Excel spreadsheet.Every time, every single time, I have to re-map all the necessary fields (15-20 for each sheet), even though the format/layout of the spreadsheet hasn't changed.I want to know how to avoid having to re-map every time I import an Excel spreadsheet. I want Airtable to remember the mapping it used for that table the last time I imported an Excel spreadsheet.I am NOT looking to import CSV data. If I wanted to do that, I would use the CSV Import app. I don't. I want to import Excel sheets.Can this be done or not?

This is to avoid accidentally modifying cell contents or modifying rows. Often time I was in a table view and the mouse was placed at a cell, and I wasn't careful enough so keystrokes sometimes override the contents of cells. This can happen if you are using hotkeys, e.g. CTRL+C but it's not simultaneously pressed, so a C may replace the cell content you want to copy. If I didn't notice this before I lost the chance to undo, it would be very painful or sometimes even impossible to recover the content. Note this is not the View lock, nor the lock to specific cells. It's also not permission-based locking. Just a fool proof for data integrity.I'm imagining that I can set a table to default lock state, so that any modification in the table view was either not effected or with some warning before taking effect. A user can still modify the content in the row editor. Are there existing features that are similar to this, or can this be a feature request? Thanks!

I'm trying to have the viewer select a job field in a form (post-production, design, etc.)Based on that selection the next entry would be a limited selection of our main record field "primary role" (editor, producer,etc.). I'm able to do this easily, however, if I duplicate this limited selection and change the conditions to another job field (visual arts, culinary) then change the limited selection, the "primary role" field becomes a copy and no longer allows input into the same "primary role" field.Example:'Creative Field' selection (POST-PRODUCTION, DESIGN, etc.)if user selects DESIGN'primary role' selection is limited to those relevant to DESIGN based on conditions met with the selection within 'Creative Field'how can I change those limited 'primary roles' to reflect the other 'Creative Field' POST-PRODUCTION.It will let me duplicate the 'primary role' block in forms but any selections in this new block are not added to the main 'primary role

I have a column in the first table with dollar amounts like this: $20 $20 $20 etc I would like the second table (in the same view) to total these amounts. How would I go about doing that? Thanks

I just saw the final deprecation email a few days ago (my work email has so much junk I rarely check it unless I already have a thread going). I'm trying to update a touch screen experience I built 2 years ago. Hi-We love the synched Airtable base option which is able to show us (for example) what work is in progress, by employee for up to 10 airtables. The one gripe we have is it would be really nice to see this all in one tab. I've tried fiddling around with creating a "Master" tab in the base by using a "linked" column in hopes to have the master tab contains all the linked views but am not getting anything to work. Is there any combination of AI/Automations available that might achieve this goal? We currently have the TEAM paid plan. Please and thank you for any information.

Is there a way to use formulas in the Send an Email or other action in Airtable automations that takes the data from a Find Records step and does some simple manipulations with it, like a SUM() function of all properties of listed records?In my example, I charge my car off of an electrical outlet in front of my landlord's house and pay them each month for the electricity I use. I have a base with an entry for each charging session that calculates the money I owe for each charge. I can easily send an email with a list of all the charging sessions for the previous month, but I would like to send a sum of the cost property (a formula field in the base that outputs numbers) instead of just the list of individual entries.What seems like the most simple way to do it would be something like a "Formula" action that takes data from previous steps and manipulates them using the Airtable Formula Field reference, and then lets subsequent action (update record, send email) use the results from that

Hi there, I am wondering if it is possible to assign records a queue number? I have created a view that would be great if all records in this view are numbered >1 and all other records 0 or something similar. This is so customers can log in and see their order is number xxx in the queue. Thanks!

Hello everyone. Looking for a way to share an interface form (registration for one of our programs) but  not allow submissions yet. We want to promote the program, show where to register but we do not want to allow submissions to the program for about a month.  Any advice?

Hello everyone,I have created an Approval / Status Process for a table. The following options are available: Planning is automatically selected when a new element is created. Then a user should be able to select Ready to Review but none of the other options. This starts an approval process. After approval, the status is automatically set to Approved. Now the user should be able to switch back to Realization but none of the other statuses. Completed is automatically selected when the end date has passed.How can I ensure that the user can only select the desired options? Thank you and best Regards.

Hi there I do not have found a solution on the community or the web to my problem I try to resolve using AT. I have a huge library of books. Instead of typing all books into a AT database (e.g. Book Catalog provided by AT) I would like to Scan the ISBN bar code (which is on each book) and populate my database with author, title, year etc. - basically all the record available on apps such as goodreads etc. After all, the barcode can be read easily, it should after reading “simply” populate the record with the relevant data. Does anybody have any idea to do this? I have read, that it may be possible using API - but I have never worked with this. If so - could anyone give me some initial information how this could be achieved? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks

I have a base that is designed to be refreshed with data from a CSV file periodically. It has about 140 fields right now and I need to add approximately 50 more. I would like to be able to do this using the CSV Import app, but I can’t find a way to have it load data into existing fields AND add new columns to the base at the same time. I have field descriptions entered for most of the existing fields, which is a big reason why I don’t want to just start over with a new import to create the new fields. If I could get and set field descriptions via API, that would be another route to my goal, but I haven’t found any evidence that’s possible. Am I stuck adding the new fields one by one or is there another way? Thank you for any light you can shed.

We have a use case that involves getting goal level data into GBQ so we can blend those with campaign data to build monitoring dashboards. Has anyone successfully gotten their data into GBQ and if so via which connector/ingestion service did you use? We have work arounds that involved exporting to a google sheet and then into GBQ but just wanted to check if there was a less round about method. Thanks!

i am trying to create a form with my team plan but it doesnt allow me to use the team functionalities, instead the app sends me to buy the team plan which I already have... and when I go to the plan pricing section and select the Team plan, it already has my card information. this is what appears in my account info:and this if I want to put a image in the header of a form:

It seems like I have a simple question but so far I have been unable to solve this. All I would like to do is pass the current wordpress user display name to Airtable via a form. I can see how to prefill a field with a fixed field but I can’t figure out the syntax to pass the current wp user data to Airtable. Is this possible? Thanks

Hey, dear community: does anyone know, how to comment the same thing on multiple records with one action. I used to copy-paste the comment on those records, but it’s too much work. It seems like the "filter records to a view" doesn't function on the mobile app.Am I missing something? Is there a way to make it work? In our context, it's quite a major workflow issue.
