Hi Community,I would like to create a form that creates multiple records on the same table to assist me with counting stock inventories. Ideally the form would look something like this:Form Example:Table with new records created example: Is there any AirTable features or extensions that could allow this? Thanks for your help.Jacob
I have synced my airtable calendar to google cal, but in google it only shows the date field from my airtable, not the name of the event-I find no option to change what shows in google calendar-I don't need the date to appear only the event name in the correct date.HELPPPPPPP-Thanks..
Hello, Everyone!I am desperately looking for a solution for something where I thought that it's easy to do. But somehow this is beyond my thinking. 🙂The situation:I have a table, grouped by a reference ("EXA"). Several records with same reference ("EXA") go through different "status" until it's done. The "status" gets updated slice by slice for the records with same reference. So far so good. What do I want to achieve:once all records under same reference have reached the same status (for e.g. "DELIVERED to project site") I want to get an alert. Best would be an automation which sends an email saying that all is done for EXA# 24DE535529298955B6.I hope the solution is not too easy, otherwise I would be frustrated by my own skills. 🙂Kai
If I am in Base A and click the “+ Add or Import” button and select the “Sync data from Airtable base” option and select a table from Base B it brings in and syncs the table. One thing though is single and multiple collaborator fields get converted to Single line text. Is this expected? Is there a way to make it stay as a Collaborator field?
Hello,I am trying to create a stacked bar graph in Airtable like the one I made in excel, but there's something I'm not quite understanding about how the chart extension tool works in Airtable. I cannot group the different day ranges under the record #, only the total, not the individual segments stacked. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
I've noticed we've been having issues managing the number of "Builders" we have on our company's Airtable account. In the Admin Panel it indicates that we have a limited number of "Builders" and "Contributors" included in our plan, and there are billing implications if we go over this number. Unfortunately we keep going over the number but can't seem to work out why!I have tried to find more information on the functionality of these user seat license types, but all I could find was information about Airtable user permission levels (Owner, Creator, Editor, Commenter, Viewer) and haven't been able to work out how they are connected, but the definitions of the user seat license types seems to indicate that a "Builder" seat allows users to have Creator level permissions, and a "Contributor" seat allows users to have Editor level permissions:Builder: Builders are able to create and customise bases and workspacesContributor: Contributors are able to edit records in existing bases and wo
Hi everyone, I have created a form from one of the templates and embedded it in my joomla website What code can i add that will make it one long form so that it doesn’t scroll in the iframe? I would like just the webpage to scroll not the iframe if that makes sense. Many thanks Jim
Was just informed that our card was being charged for a pro plan. There was an unauthorized person on our account. We don't use AirTable and we followed all the instructions: (a) I deleted the user and then (d) downgraded, but then I got a message that AirTable will go to free on March 17, 2025. This is unacceptable.
How to make combinations of field in between columns : Exemple : Product ALPHA - VARIANT LINKED TO IT : SUBVARIANT-X - Items compatible 1,2,3. + SUBVARIANT-Y compatible 7,8,9- If I select SUBVARIANT-X : item 1. Then only SUBVARIANT 8 is compatible is this combination.Any suggestion to make it happen ?
Dear Airtable,The last 24 hours as your paying clients were just awful. After upgrading our plan to Team and successfully paying for your service, the upgrade was correctly reflected in our workspace feature summary which shows 4,466 of 50,000 records, and 0 GB for all the other indicators. Despite that, the base has remained limited since our payment causing us major business impact and problems of all sorts with our web application. What is worse - and it is frankly upsetting for customer - is the astonishing support that has been provided so far. I made sure to describe the situation clearly in a ticket yesterday (00743786). I did receive one reply from a support agent. The reply appears to be a simple copy-paste that is not related to the questions, a practice which honestly should require Airtable's investigation. Your clients pay for your service, they expect a reasonable level of support.Since then, there was full silence from your team despite me attempting to reach out to y
Hello, I created a table of articles I published on my site. For each row, I inserted the article title, publish date and various tags. I would like to create a view/report so that Airtable presents me with one long report of all my articles organized first by a single tag..and then for each tag category it would sort the articles by date. Here's what I did:Using the "Group" feature, I grouped by "categories" (all my tags) and then i added a subgroup of Date. When it showed me the results (see attached), it showed me rows organized not just by a single tag, but multiple tags. (It seems it's doing that based on how I added multiple tags to the end of a single row in my airtable). How can I see a long list of all my articles grouped underneath multiple "single" tags (versus multiple tags)? thank you,Matt
Page Design is really useful but I can't do a seemingly simple thing.I have a list (view of a table) and I want to layout it and print it in PDF with Page Designer but I can't find a way.It seems you can only print a single record at a time. Can you tell me if there is a way?Thank youDanilo
Hi there. Loving Airtable so far! Just wanted to know if there was a way to show on my bar graph block a custom y-axis number. I have numbers on the y-axis from ranging from 0 - 100. Right now the bar graph only go as far as the records go (e.g. till 77). I want to show that 77 is not the max, visually speaking. Something I missed?
I have a table of job roles and another table of knowledge items. The job role table is linked to the knowledge items table. I have an Excel spreadsheet that lists the knowledge items for each job role. It looks like I can only paste one item at a time into the linked field. Is there a way to paste multiple items in at the same time? Thanks for the assistance.Best Regards,Chris
Hello,I am trying to move all my content from my Microsoft Excel into Airtable. In my excel sheet, I have a column of hyperlinked titles linked to the 2100 of my articles.I tried to copy and paste the hyperlinked title from Excel into Airtable and the link didn’t transfer over.I am trying to figure out how to get those hyperlinks from Excel into Airtable without having to manually click on each of them and then copy and paste the URL into a cell in Airtable.1) I saw this thread here about using FORMULA TEXT to extract the links from the hyperlinks, but like the guy in the thread experienced, I too am getting N/A.2) I also saw this thread here and the last entry was Oct 9, 2023. There was mention of a script but i dont' quite understand it and apparently it only works for 50 records.. and i have about 2100 records. Is there any recent solution to this? thank you,Matt
Hi everyone,Since the storage for my attachments is limited, I've compressed the images and uploaded them on Airtable, and stored the high-quality ones on Google Drive. Now, I want to add URLs to shared Google Drive images so they can zoom in on the image (a function that Airtable is currently missing).Because there're records that contain multiple attachments, they will have more than one URL. I can add multiple URLs in a long text field but they display as lengthy URLs and don't look nice. Is there any way to display it as multiple buttons? Thanks in advance
Hello, I have a table with +400 records, and I want to ask a question about a “Multiple Select” column. How can I upload (or paste) separate records that I have in a CSV file, and put all of them as different categories in a “Multiple Select” column? The context of this is that I have a Form in FormAssembly and currently in the Multiple Select column I have countless records of unique categories, that include records that merged several categories (we had pre-defined 12 options). Here is a screenshot of how it currently looks I’m trying to solve this in a separate Spreadsheet where I created a CSV file with this column, I separate it but with formula and manually into different columns, and now I want to go back to Airtable and organize the “Multiple Select” column. Does someone have any advice for how to do this?
I'm debating on changing a single-select field to a multi-select field, but I'm uncertain on the effect it will have on all of the dependencies.I have a Progress flow that follows cold leads (potential investment deals) into committed investments, where we then put the deal into either a 'Syndicate Investment" view or a "Fund Investment" view, but some deals have both investments. SO, in the view prior to putting them into one of these investments, i'd like to change the single select to a multi-select that will allow me to put 2 tags on select investments where both the syndicate and fund will invest, thus moving the deal into both views. Is this going to screw up my full flow process?
Was playing around with the new function for dynamic linked records and was intitally very excited about it, but am wondering if there's something that I am doing wrong. After setting the dynamic filter, if I try to look for records that were not filtered when i try to add a linked record, I don't see those records (aka working as intended). However, when I copy and paste a name of a linked record that I know should pass the filter into the field, it shows up there. In my use case, I am using an automation to copy and paste from one field into a linked record; is there a way to only paste the ones that are allowed in the filter for linked records? (seem to have this issue regardless of whether its a static or dyanmic filter and not sure if its a bug)
Not sure how to even ask this - below is a nice calendar view with tasks on it that have durations set for them. I don't need to set durations for tasks, but I do want to have "successive" tasks shift by the same amount as any "predecessor" task that I drag to a new place on the calendar as I reorder things. So if "Task1" is currently due April 1, and "Task2" is due April 15," any change to one should change the other equally. The commonality between the tasks is a project or client name, and all tasks live in a table called . . . wait for it . . . "Tasks."The example below is from AT itself: Collecting Base Metadata - Universe (airtable.com) which was not really what I wanted to do. Traditional Gantt views are just unreadable to me. Calendars are. I think I'm kind of looking for a Gantt-displayed-on-calendar sort of thing? Thanks!
I have a date field in my table named “Date Paid”. I would like to determine the week number of the month that date falls into in another field. Example, 2017-11-01 falls into week one of November, 2017-11-06 falls into week 2. Is there a formula that will do this? I know in VBA I can write a function to do this but want to do this in Airtable. I’ve been able to determine the month “Date Paid” falls under pretty easily with, MONTH({Date Paid}) but don’t see any built in functions for week number of the month Thanks for any tips you can provide for this!
When using Calendar view, I really need to be able to look at “This week” on the first line, and the next 2 or 3 weeks. This is easy on Google Calendar, I have a “3-week” custom view set up on it. As long as I’m set up on 3-week view, I can see “This Week” as the top line and the next 2 weeks. Right now, I’m at the end of January, and I need to see “This week” on Airtable along with the next 2 weeks of February. All I can find is the 2-week view, which only shows me “this week” and “next week” and that’s not sufficient for the way we schedule our tasks. It would be even better if I could do this with a total of 4 weeks (this week, and the next 3 weeks) but seeing a total of 3 weeks would suffice. Any help? Also, any possibility of a scrolling yearly calendar that would show 3-4 weeks at a time, but give me the ability to scroll one week at a time? This would be even better.
Is there a way to build a Calendar view that allow us to scroll 1 week at a time through a 3 or 4 week view, using the scroll wheel on the mouse? You need a large monitor for that to work but I have a 42" 4K so that’s not a problem lol. I am a rookie here so if this is a super-simple answer, forgive me lol.
Hi everyone! I am creating a directory by linking a shared Airtable view to a webpage and most users will be on mobile. I would need external users to have the ability to sort and filter within the Airtable view when using a mobile device, similarly to what is currently doable on the desktop version. Is that possible? Thanks in advance for your help!
**3/18 UPDATE: AT support was unable to find any evidence of why this happened; we were also unable to recreate the events and have it happen again. The ticket with them remains open; best guess is that it happened during the same time as a service outage (there was one that affected rich text fields around the same time.)We have a table in a base set up as a simple ticketing system, nothing fancy.Users update a long text field with any actions/updates to the ticket in question. All users who have access to the base access the same way (grid view), though they each have their own view set up.We utilize the '@mention' feature to notify the responsible party after certain actions, and when they become responsible. We've noticed that any time someone enters new information in the long text field and '@'s' someone, the record removes all previous '@'s'.I've watched this happen in real time, and am confident that the system (Airtable) is making these changes, and not the human user, even thou
