Hi All,I have a table for Employee Timesheets How Do I get a value from same table i.e. reference a record with same date + specific other field valuei.e. the timesheet table contains multiple records for same day...  I want to get the postcode for the previous job, which is determined by Job Order Number field...  I'm new to AirTable so please bear with me.ThanksKalpesh 

Hi Experts!My goal is to create an image carousel in HTML/CSS to embed in a website in order to view the image uploaded in an attachment field for each record. Something like Airbnb image gallery. The number of photos may vary so it must be flexible.I'm currently using Softr to display my item details in Airtable but the options to show images are poor and not very UX friendly. But I can embed code. I already do that with embedded YouTube videos and google maps.Right now I'm thinking to build a html code + CSS iframe with make.com that is feeded with Airtable attachments with the iterator block, and then copy to in a rich text field for each record, but I'll need a CSS HTML5 developer.Any other ideas on how to implement this?Thanks a lot for any suggestion!

So GIFs working on synced view on laptop but not on android. But if view is a shareable link they work? Same data.At mo I created a button back to original as want to edit on phone but mystified why not working. Sure it worked before on Pixel phone but now on Samsung. Any thoughts anyone?

Hi there ! :grinning: I’m very very new here, on Airtable, so to begin gently, I’ve come up with the idea to build a DB regrouping all the info I have on the pets I lived with (dead and alive). But I’ve got a DATETIME_DIFF() formula difficulty. On my base, I’ve created kind of a summary table with all the general info concerning the pets (Species, race, gender, etc…) On this table, I’ve got a field Date of Birth (DoB) and a field Date of Death (DoD). What I would like to do is to create a field that would give me the actual age of the pet (if still alive) or the age of the pet when it died, on same table, if possible :winking_face: . Reading the help documentation and many topics here concerning the DATETIME_DIFF() formula I found this : DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{DoB},’years’) Which works perfectly for the actual age of the living pet.

Hey there, Is there some way to count the number of entries in a Lookup field in the same table? I have a Lookup field called ‘Roles’—it references another field on the same sheet called ‘Movies’ and spits out a list of acting credits associated with those movies. I need to count how many credits there are, but the ‘Roles’ field doesn’t appear as an option in the Count drop-down. Is there some other way to do this? A formula maybe? Any help appreciated! I have been building a income and expense tracking base for myself that has evolved from a Google Sheet. Thus far I am loving the Airtable features and am anxiously awaiting a plotting solution. I have a question about implementing main categories and sub categories. For each expense I have defined main categories and sub categories. I have currently implemented this by creating separate tables within my base. One for main categories and one for sub categories and then linking to them within my main table. My problem is that my design requires that each sub category belongs to only a single main category however I have to manage that manually as I do not know how to explicitly restrict that relationship. Thus far it works as I am the only one that uses the base and know which sub categories belong to which main category. I would however like to share the input responsibilities with other

I feel like I'm either being stupid or something odd is happening regarding LIST VIEWS.In my Interface, I can add a LIST VIEW and add levels and it works fine.  My table has a Providers Table at the top, linked to Payroll Table, linked to Transactions.  works as expected.BUT, in my Providers TABLE, when I add a LIST VIEW and try to add Levels, it ONLY shows the ability to add levels ABOVE, not below, like it does in the Interface.  There are no levels ABOVE, as Providers is the top. Why does this work fine in Interfaces but not in table views???

We are currently using Airtable Team and have  a billing question. So our team devolved 2 interfaces. 1 for managers and another for HR. Managers are only collaborators in the manger interface. would we still be billed the full amount of 20 USD per collaborator even though they don't have full access? 

Hi, Zapier pulls in employee leave when its added to a google calendar. Employees can take time off in half-day increments. If the start date is 21st Feb 2020 2pm and the end date is 24th Feb 6pm that should come out as 1.5 days holiday. (date diff ingnoring the weekend). I think I can see how to add in UK holidays but is there a good way to take the time of day into account so a morning or afternoon is counted as a half day? Thanks!

Hi, I have a table with a single select field called “Status” that has 3 values (Pending, Refused, Granted) I want that every new record to be receiving default “Pending” value and i also want to be able to change it afterwards to either Refused or Granted. Thank you

I have several tables in my base.For each table, I import, on a monthly basis, an Excel spreadsheet.Every time, every single time, I have to re-map all the necessary fields (15-20 for each sheet), even though the format/layout of the spreadsheet hasn't changed.I want to know how to avoid having to re-map every time I import an Excel spreadsheet. I want Airtable to remember the mapping it used for that table the last time I imported an Excel spreadsheet.I am NOT looking to import CSV data. If I wanted to do that, I would use the CSV Import app. I don't. I want to import Excel sheets.Can this be done or not?

This is to avoid accidentally modifying cell contents or modifying rows. Often time I was in a table view and the mouse was placed at a cell, and I wasn't careful enough so keystrokes sometimes override the contents of cells. This can happen if you are using hotkeys, e.g. CTRL+C but it's not simultaneously pressed, so a C may replace the cell content you want to copy. If I didn't notice this before I lost the chance to undo, it would be very painful or sometimes even impossible to recover the content. Note this is not the View lock, nor the lock to specific cells. It's also not permission-based locking. Just a fool proof for data integrity.I'm imagining that I can set a table to default lock state, so that any modification in the table view was either not effected or with some warning before taking effect. A user can still modify the content in the row editor. Are there existing features that are similar to this, or can this be a feature request? Thank

I'm trying to have the viewer select a job field in a form (post-production, design, etc.)Based on that selection the next entry would be a limited selection of our main record field "primary role" (editor, producer,etc.). I'm able to do this easily, however, if I duplicate this limited selection and change the conditions to another job field (visual arts, culinary) then change the limited selection, the "primary role" field becomes a copy and no longer allows input into the same "primary role" field.Example:'Creative Field' selection (POST-PRODUCTION, DESIGN, etc.)if user selects DESIGN'primary role' selection is limited to those relevant to DESIGN based on conditions met with the selection within 'Creative Field'how can I change those limited 'primary roles' to reflect the other

I just saw the final deprecation email a few days ago (my work email has so much junk I rarely check it unless I already have a thread going). I'm trying to update a touch screen experience I built 2 years ago. This is the first and only project connecting an app I made in unreal to airtable so hopefully I'm just rusty and it's an easy fix.I'm able to see the records using web.postman.co so I know the personal auth token is working, but retrieving and sorting them in unreal (using the VA rest plugin) is more complex.here's a comparison of the old API key method VS one of many things I've tried so far for the API call. they're identical except for the third line.I also tried removing the 2nd line with the sorting but that's not working either. like this-

Hi-We love the synched Airtable base option which is able to show us (for example) what work is in progress, by employee for up to 10 airtables. The one gripe we have is it would be really nice to see this all in one tab. I've tried fiddling around with creating a "Master" tab in the base by using a "linked" column in hopes to have the master tab contains all the linked views but am not getting anything to work. Is there any combination of AI/Automations available that might achieve this goal? We currently have the TEAM paid plan. Please and thank you for any information.

Is there a way to use formulas in the Send an Email or other action in Airtable automations that takes the data from a Find Records step and does some simple manipulations with it, like a SUM() function of all properties of listed records?In my example, I charge my car off of an electrical outlet in front of my landlord's house and pay them each month for the electricity I use. I have a base with an entry for each charging session that calculates the money I owe for each charge. I can easily send an email with a list of all the charging sessions for the previous month, but I would like to send a sum of the cost property (a formula field in the base that outputs numbers) instead of just the list of individual entries.What seems like the most simple way to do it would be something like a "Formula" action that takes data from previous steps and manipulates them using the Airtable Formula Field reference, and then lets subsequent action (update record, send email) use the

Hello everyone. Looking for a way to share an interface form (registration for one of our programs) but  not allow submissions yet. We want to promote the program, show where to register but we do not want to allow submissions to the program for about a month.  Any advice?
