I’m noticing that when using Lookup fields to gather all the text from various related text fields, the output in the lookup field separates each of the resulting contents with a comma automatically. Here’s the situation: 1 - Contacts table contains a link to Interactions table. 2 - Each Interaction contains text meeting notes, which are concatenated in a separate field with the date of the meeting and a line break at the end. 3 - The Contacts table in turn has a lookup field which brings back all of those concatenated results, so that I can pull up a contact in gallery view and see something like this in their notes field: 2-22-2015: Met for first time at her office, talked about our basic services. , 4-18-2017: Met with her whole team to set up launch. So that comma in front of the 4 isn’t a type-o in this message; rather it’s the output I’m getting. Can I get that to go away?

Hello - I am just getting set up with AirTable to manage my supply chain. One of our partners requires advanced notice of any in-bound shipments, to include multiple attachments. I’ve created a Shipment Log table to accomplish this, where I can just click “send record”, enter their email, and they receive all of the pertinent info. HOWEVER, the AirTable-generated email they receive has a “View in AirTable” link at the bottom. When anyone clicks this, it shows my entire base, which does include sensitive information such as pricing, other partners, internal comms, etc. How can I send individual records to external partners without giving the option to view anymore than the specific record sent?

Hi everyone! I am writing on behalf of my organization. We have qualified for the charity discount, but I am struggling with the best way to set up our team. I am aware that if we upgrade this would be for 1 workspace, correct? And then this workspace’s bases would be part of the paid plan. So im thinking that I would invite all my colleagues as collaborators (users) so that workspace. So my first question is: if I invite my colleagues to the workspace, do they see all the bases that I have created? Or only the bases that are shared with me? And vice versa? I am also wondering, if I am a ‘user’ on a paid account, can I then create another workspace that will have access to the paid base features? Or would that workspace not have the paid features because its a free workspace? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am trying to build a SPA and having an issue with pagination. From client side, it is calling back-end function to fetch image url of records and pageSize is 16. What I am hoping to achieve is to fetch every 16 records whenever user clicks ‘show more photos’ and it will fetch another batch of 16 and so on… but my question is how can I call fetchNextPage() after it fetches the first batch of records and function’s finished. I have little knowledge of callback function and how it works but if you could help me with this, I’d appreciate it. I setup Integromat to watch an Airtable base for a new record and then send me an email notification. It scans the Airtable one per day and keeps on sending me notification daily for records that it already notified me about. Is there anyway to set Integromat to ignore records that it already notified me about?

I’m just getting started creating linked Tables and tried using the Sales CRM example on the support page, but am unable to create a similar Table of linked fields. Here are two problems: The rows of names in the Primary field column are duplicated in the second column even as its header is correct. Instead of all of the corresponding rows from the linked Table grouped by the names in the Primary field, only a single row of linked cells is displayed.

hello Airtable Community, First sorry for bad English, hope you can understand me. For my hotel I need to create an automation between Airtable (our CRM) and Google Agenda, where every record (room booking, with important informations about customers) create an event in our Google Agenda. I have already created an automation with Zapier which create an event in Google Agenda every time I create a new record in my CRM. But, when I change a field (exemple : after create the record, I have to change the phone number of a customer in a field), it do not change the phone number in my event on Google Agenda. It’s a trouble for me because if me or a coworker insert a wrong phone number in a new record, the correction do not put the correction on google events, which is our main booking interface. Hello, I am trying to create a formula to track of the aging of a record. I am using date fields for this formula, the Booked date and the Funded date. I was able to come up with a formula that calculated the age, but it only calculated the age once the funded date was updated. I need to be able to keep track of the ongoing aging of each record from the date it was booked all the way to the date the record is funded. I also need the formula to stop keeping track of the aging once its been funded. for example, if a record was booked on June 1st and today is June 17th,and the record has not been funded I need to see that the record is 17 days old. However if the record was booked on June 1st and funded on June 16th, then even though today is the 17th, the formula should still show that the record is 16 days old.

I’m building a block which (should) allow users to select multiple records in Table A. I would like to get a set of each selected record’s linked Table B records. The problem I’m running in to I believe relates to using a hook within a loop. Right now I’m using selectedRecords.map(record => {...} ).flat() to loop through each selected record. Within the loop, I’m using useRecords(record.selectLinkedRecordsFromCell(fieldName)) to get the linked records into a single array. This works but only if the user selects the same number of records each time, or cancels the current selection and starts over. Meaning if someone selects one record it works, if someone selects all records it works, but if someone changes the number of selected records by clicking and dragging or by using the selection boxes at the far left, React throws an error: Error: Rendered more/fewer hooks than during the previous render. Hello community, Hope that you may help me with this one. I am trying to build a system that will help my with inventory tracking. So far so good, and there are many great templates and tutorials out there. HOWEVER, I haven’t figure out yet how to solve my issue: From time to time, employees take equipment from our warehouse for a specific project, and I want to keep track of everything. I thought about making a table for each time someone takes something, and then finding a way to reduce the amount of available items from the amount of items that went out from our warehouse. but - I have no idea how to do that. Making a row for each project is not ideal as well, because each project uses several items with different quantitates. Any suggestions or tips? THANK YOU!!!

Hey all, I have two tables that I need to link. Table 1 is a table which gets daily new info. In one column, I have to concatenate. This changes daily with the new information and therefore needs to stay as a formula. In Table 2, I have a sort of database of possible concatenation options with responding values. These two values need to be selected according to the newly created cell in Table 1. In Excel, this could be quickly done via a Vlookup, but I struggle to do this in Airtable. Has anyone had a similar problem and can offer a solution? If you need more info, please tell me. Thank you

What would be the correct way to have the duration / age of a ticket in Airtable being any status that isn’t “Complete”? In the “Days Open” field I currently have got to this formula : IF(LAST_MODIFIED_TIME(Status), WORKDAY_DIFF( TODAY(), LAST_MODIFIED_TIME({Status}) ) ) What’s the best way to stop it counting once the ticket is completed?

When I delete the actual lookup field AFAIK the linked field by itself is doing what I need. My question is why am I generating this lookup field to begin with and can you delete/not generate it into the table to begin with?

I have 6 air table bases that are duplicated. I added a section to the base the 1st base with several new rows. Now I’d like to copy and paste the rows into the other 5 bases for our company classes. Can you tell me how to do this or point me towards a tutorial? thank you in advance

Hi I am a complete newbie. I was so pleased when I got by base looking and working exactly as I wanted. I started the base with a csv import from my website which shows the date as June 7 2020 as a single line text. I changed it to the friendly date 7 June 2020 and completely forgot about it. I carried on and created order renewal dates etc and was very pleased with the results. I then updated the table with another CSV from my website orders. It added the orders perfectly but has now knocked everything out of may date field and calendar completely. The problem, I am assuming is with the slight difference in the datetime format, I can’t undo the import and can’t change the date format to match. Please HELP!!! TIA Andy

Is there any way of moving completed records to a different table so that I can remove finished jobs but still be able to access them for invoicing reasons? A previous recommendation was to filter to exclude certain records but I can’t for the life of me see how to do this! TIA

HI, I have a crowdfunding campaign that just started. I need to track what’s happening with rewards—who gets one, did I send it, did I tell someone else to send it, what date sent. That part is easy to set up. The part that has me puzzled… The platform will allow me to download into an excel file each donation’s entire record, with 32 fields - many of them blank. Because I will be adding to the table every day, I don’t want to mess with that format, so I can easily cut and paste. So far I have called that table “Raw Data”. The primary column is “Time Pledged.” I’m unclear about how I get to having my rewards info in a useful way for me. Create another table and use a lookup to collect info about rewards from the Raw Data? Would I use “Time Pledged” as my primary column? Can I pull the info I want from the Raw Data using formulas? Or is it as simple as adding columns to Raw data for the info I want to track and build a view that lets me see only the data I need? Is that clear? Am I mi

Hi Everyone, There are infnite examples of being able to post updates to the table into slack, but I was wondering if there were any date-driven event notifiers that are possible. For example, if I had a field of important dates, is there any way to have some sort of scripting block/zapier/iftts integration that will push a notification on that date to slack without the need of a server accessing the record everyday. Hi ! I supposed it might be a Google Drive support question too but I wished to give it a try here first. I followed this example : https://www.onlinedatabase.expert/post/creating-qr---bar-codes-in-airtable-with-integromat in order to create QR codes, store them to Google Drive and upgrade attachment fields in my Airtable database. Everything is working fine except in Airtable where the attachment are not visible. The png file is correctly generated and stored in Google Drive. Here’s a screenshot of what I get in Airtable: Surprisingly, the download is working fine in Airtable. So there’s a link. For information, with the Google Drive API, I use Web Content Link as the URL to the image. Because the key in use in the tutorial doesn’t appear on my integration. Thanks for any help !
