Hello and thank you in advance for taking a look at my question! I would like to have a formula that analyzes two columns of data to return a specific amount, or 0. Column 1: # Nights Column 2: Cabin Name If # Nights is greater than or equal to 7, AND Cabin Name is “299” then $1800, if not then $0 If # Nights is greater than or equal to 7, AND Cabin Name is “514” then $1850, if not then $0 I am struggling with the logic of whether the IF statement for cabin name comes first or the # of nights comes first. Also struggling with the IF(AND…) formula - or perhaps I should be using a different formula altogether? Please help! Heather

I’m trying to grab a variable amount of text from between two consistent characters, > and <, to format HTML. I’m using Zapier to convert rich text to HTML and then using an Airtable formula to modify the URLs with UTM codes. Example below. Adding records is simple, but is there a way to have the blank row with the plus symbol appear at the top of the table instead of at the bottom? My users are complaining that they have to scroll to the bottom in order to add a new record.

Hello, i’ve create a database with ingredients, recipes and meal plan tables. I’ve linked my recipe with a list of all ingredients inside this meal plan table, then my goal is to add a multiplier field in the meal plan table to adjust quantity of each ingredients of the list. Is it possible to have a lookup field with a liste of values (number and text) and multiply these values (only numbers) ? Thank you for your help Best Regards Brian

@Kasra - In reference to this, from the AMA session AMA Custom Blocks Contest Edition #1 - Getting Started with the Airtable Product Team (Live on Wednesday 6/10) There isn’t an API for getting this information at the moment, but I’ll note your +1 for it! Out of curiosity, what are you hoping to build with it? One thing I could imagine being potentially useful is a Custom Block that can stream updates to particular records or a particular table, along with the source of those updates - it could provide a useful place to keep an eye on changes to critical records/tables within a base while working in a different part of the base. I think opening up an API to record revision history in the SDK could be potentially useful for that kind of thing.

Hello! I have two tables “Episodes” and “Team/Dates”. “Episodes” has a single select field called “Status” with 20 non-alphabetically listed options. When I create a linked lookup field in “Team/Dates” to the “Status” column in “Episodes”, it imports the field as text. Is it possible to import it as a single-select field? Or to somehow retain the sorting order from the “Episodes” single select field? The two workarounds I’ve found so far are adding a numerical prefix to each status (e.g., 01 Script, 02 Storyboards, 03 Edit) or using a formula in the second table with an emoji in front to do sorting. Hi! I’ve been looking around the forum and Reddit for a solution to copy records from one base to another using the scripting block. I just want to know if this is possible and maybe see an example to use as a reference. The idea is to get all the records from Base A Table 1 and copy them to Base B Table 1, without deleting existing ones. I need to have different bases so the data and permission management is easier. When importing a ics file with recurrence I am loosing information I want to include namely which day of the week is used (See RRULE field). How can I get this information pulled in? Hey, guys. I have an issue with an integration of mine. I’m extracting a time from a string from Google sheets and then putting that time into Airtable. I want to put it into the duration field, but it will not accept it. Does anyone have any idea of how to format this correctly or work around the duration field paramaters? Thank you!

Hello - I recently created a Custom form using the ‘Encode URL’ component to prefill fields on a feedback form for our members. We email the custom URL to customers but when they complete it, it’s creating a duplicate entry on the grid view in Airtable vs updating the record with the URL we sent. Anyone else experience this? Is there some way to prevent it?

I’m trying to query Linked Records out of a Linked Record Field from the record selected by cursor. I am trying to do so inside a component that is nested 4 levels deep, and has had said record passed down to it through props. When I attempt to await the result of .selectLinkedRecordsFromCellAsync() I get an error: And when I attempt to get them directly from .selectLinkedRecordsFromCell(), I get nothing back in my const linkedRecords, even though I’m 100% certain I have Linked Records there to query: I’m doing a horrible job of debugging this, and I have a feeling it’s likely something simple – a rookie mistake that I’m just missing. I am putting different decimals accurate no. to my table, but I just want them to show in 2 decimals. Like in pop. column, I put 1.459868 and 1.84390809. I want them to show as 2 decimals but keep the original. So in one day I still can convert back to the originals. How to do that? Nelson

How do I enable visibility of a particular scripting block when a view is shared i.e. on click of “open form”?

Is it possible to allow access to view (grid or gallery) only when input by user matches a field? For example I want user to only see his or her records, so I will get name or mobile as input and filter records to show only this.

I am trying to figure out the best way to create the “New Record in View” trigger that Zapier has without having to use both softwares for my project. Ideally, this would be an Instant Trigger rather than a Scheduled Trigger, so I think the best way to do this would be with a “Watch Records” module in Integromat. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about doing this? Is there any way to do this without having to rely on the “last modified time” or “created time” fields? Thank you!

Hi - I want to allow users who fill in a form to either select a pre-created option (easy) OR create their own option. Put another way, I’d like a form user to add their own options to our overall table, which then become options for future users (although those users can still add their own new options). I believe I have set everything correct: Clicked on → Allow this field to be set in records created through forms. It is a multi-select field that can easily have new options added directly in the table (but not from the form). I have received the following error: Cannot accept submissions because forms don’t have permission to set the required field XYZ.

I have a form on my website that takes in information, runs some calculations, and outputs updated values. Is there a way to insert a record of the output in Airtable every time someone uses the tool? Is this something our PHP developers should work on or is there a simpler way for me to integrate with Airtable without writing PHP? Thanks.

Hello airtablers, I have a field {RESPONSE} with 5 possible choices A,B,C,D,E I need to be able to give a score based on each response. So if response is A OR B score is 4 if response is C OR D score is 1 if response is E score is 3 This would be easy to solve with a switch function but the cell with responses returns all the responses concatenated in a single array (A;B;C;D;E). Is there a way to score the responses? Thanks a lot

I have been using an AirTable base with about 600 records for an MVP backend of a webapp built through AppGyver using Airtable’s API. Unexpectedly, I can no longer access the base, whether through the API or through the AirTable interface. I get the following message: the base is unavailable. And I am certainly not sending over 5 API calls a second. What gives?

Hi Airtable Friends, I want to combine four things in my primary field: (1) Story ID#, (2) Date, (3) Storyteller, and (4) Story Title – all separated by a " - ", of course. I was able to get the first two things with this formula: ({Story ID#} & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT(Received, ‘DD/MM’)) & " - " But when I follow this up with {Storyteller} & " - " & {Story Title}, I get a message that says: “Sorry, there was a problem saving this field. Can’t save field because it causes a circular reference.” To be clear, here’s the full formula that keeps getting rejected: ({Story ID#} & " - " & DATETIME_FORMAT(Received, ‘DD/MM’)) & " - " {Storyteller} & " - " & {Story Title} I’ve tried a number of variations using parenthesis and curly brackets, but always get the “sorry” message. Grateful to anyone who can help me get past this irksome obstacle!

I have a simple gallery, showing three fields. One of the fields links to related records. The gallery card shows a limited number of related records before it cuts them off. I would like to print the gallery cards showing all related records. How do I do that?

Is there a way to view ALL of the “LONG TEXT” field without having to OPEN it? By default, it only shows the first time… is there a way to see ALL the lines? Thanks, George

Hi, I’m writing an item order table and have been successful in pulling prices from a matrix based on qty input using the Tiered system, but I find I now need to include the ability to override the price. The Tier Formula is below and works - it populates the name of the tier based on the quantity input IF(Quantity > 1, IF(Quantity < 5, “Tier 2”, IF(Quantity >= 5, IF(Quantity < 10, “Tier 3”, IF(Quantity >= 10, IF(Quantity < 15, “Tier 4”, IF(Quantity >= 15, IF(Quantity < 25, “Tier 5”, IF(Quantity >= 25, “Bulk”)))))))), “single”) Once the tier is populated, I’m using a SWITCH formula to pull in the correct price based on the price tier SWITCH((Tier), “Single”,{Single Unit Cost}, “Tier 2”,{2-4 Units Cost}, “Tier 3”,{5-9 Units Cost}, “Tier 4”,{10-14 Units Cost}, “Tier 5”,{15-24 Units Cost}, “Bulk”, {Bulk 25+ Plus}) I find that I need to be able to override a price if their is a special one off price for a given line item.
