Hello! I am using airtable to track tasks that have been completed before a new hire starts. I currently have a Start Date (Field type is Date) and a Laptop Ordered (Field type is Checkbox). I would like to create an IF formula that comes down to: if laptop order is not checked AND the start date is less than 7 days, i get a message that says “late: needs ordering” I cannot figure out how to do IF functions with dates and then how to incorporate it into a larger, nested formula. Currently all I can get is the Check box to work I have: IF({Laptop Ordered}=1,“On Track”,“Late: Needs Ordering”)

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue that when I save an integer to a percent field, it appends 0.0% to the amount. Let’s say the value is 25 it’ll save as 250.0% anyone has an idea on why this is happening? And also on the API docs, the percent field is the only one that displays no info. I have attached screenshots of this.

Hi, I am trying to create a formula that will associate tags with a given row if that row contains text that matches entries in a row from another table. For example, we have a table that contains a set of emails received: Lisa spoke to a at b company Kyle spoke to c at d company Judy spoke to e at f company Another table contains a list of names such as: Judy Kyle Megan I want to create a field on the messages table that will show Judy and Kyle as associated tags for that message because the strings Kyle and Judy match the entries in the list of names. Hi there! I’m new to Airtable and trying to find the most efficient way to group individual freelance talent by discipline (Editors, Animators, Directors, Etc.) in GRID view within my base design. I’m finding the “group” or “filter” features to be confusing and sensitive - I’m not able to clearly find a solve for this & greatly appreciate any help!

I’ve tried to work this both using just the formula and also a combination of the formula and conditional fields (which seems like how it was designed to be used). I have an Inventory table that contains our inventory. I have an Orders table that contains our Orders. The Orders table references the Inventory to identify which item is being purchased. On the Inventory table I’d like to create a field that sums the amount of orders placed against an Inventory item so we can tell when we’re running low. Here I do a “rollup” field that has two conditions and a summation of the values for the formula. The first checks if the order was actually purchased. When I only use this condition, the field sums correctly. The second condition is suppose to take the linked field on the Orders table and check if it is the same as the Inventory Name. I try to use the {Name} designation for the field in the record but that doesn’t work. I’ve also tried a string just to see if that would work and it doesn

I would like to write a simple script block triggered by the new beta button to update fields in the record which the button was push. The use can is this. Our team uses a base to track orders through a production environment: planning to operations to lab to shipping. There are several fields that have to be updated to move the records from one department’s view to the next and it would be great to automate these updates with a button. I have no javascript experience so I really don’t know where to even start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all - I’m new to react and web dev in general. I have created a Box with a FormField inside. It displays correctly but I cannot seem to enter any text in the input field. It is not taking any values, like it is read-only. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to wrap text that’s in a grid view. There doesn’t seem to be any control that allows for wrapping of text. I’m having the same problem with Page Designer as I had within the table itself: linked fields can’t be wrapped and get cut off by the width of the column. Hi, Just trying out Airtable as an alternative to Notion. So far so good, however there is an issue for me in Safari (v13.1.1, on macOS) in that I cannot scroll my table at all (horizontally or vertically). The same table works perfectly in Chrome on the same machine. Let me know how I can provide more details (i.e. a private link to the table if it helps support) Thanks - Ian.

We have used CSV Import block, and it work well. But when we integrate it into our website using iframe, it seems that CSV Import block didn’t work. Do CSV import block work within an iframe? Thank you.

Hi, I’m wanting to create a table with functionality such that: The “Name” of session Making Software is classified by “Topic” and “Subtopic”. Now, “Topic” is a linked to a list of records in the Topic table: This is pretty straightforward. And you can see that the Topic table links to a Subtopic table, with subtopics for each topic. When creating Sessions, I’d like to: Create a new Session record and specify the name (e.g. Making Software) Then select one of the Topics for that record (e.g. Computers) And then when I go to Subtopic for the Session … only subtopics for the topic are displayed and selectable (i.e. Apple & Windows are displayed, not Dyson) Is there some capability in AirTable that says: display the linked records for this table, but only those whose field matches that which is in this column? I have 2 fields Field 1: Date (lookup) Field 2: I wanna if the date (and time) Duplicate , just show 1 value date time . If it has 2,3 different date, i wanna show all of them And i use this formula and it shows error, what am i missing ?

Hello Community! Hoping, yet again, for assistance from a Formula pro. My table has the following look up fields: 1 - {Invite Docs} 2 - {Other Task-Related Docs} 3 - {Calendaring Docs} 4 - {Plan/MTG/After Event Docs} If there is a document in any one of these four fields, I need the Formula to return a value of “Has Docs”. In oher words, records that have blanks in all four fields would not return the “Has Docs” value. I attempted an IF statement, but with unsatisfactory results! :worried: I’m afraid the use of BLANK () is currently beyond my skill level. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Hi, Looking for the best way to do this. I’ve got a Unit table that stores all the details for a course Unit (e.g. Introduction to French): I want to specify records for each week of that Unit, e.g. for the Unit “Musicianship 101”, we have a record for Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, etc (tracking information for each week): Musicianship 101 Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 … I created a table Unit Weeks that looks like this: Where the “Unit” field is a linked record back to the corresponding unit record in *Unit table. What’s the neatest way to do this? I’d like to hide the “Name” primary field. Is there any way? I’ve used grouping on the “Unit” field and hidden the “Name” primary field. Hello everyone! Ive exhausted all my options. Hopefully the amazing Airtable Community can help me out… So in essence the formula needs to get words from Column A and separate them with a vertical bar i.e. " | " and if a set of words like “New This Month” exists in column A the spaces need to be replaced by underscores. In column A (Multiple Select) I have e.g: Movie, New This Month, Entertainment I need for column B (Formula) to produce the following with the data in column A e.g: Movie | New_This_Month | Entertainment Thank you in advance!

Is there a way to solve a simplex algorithm in airtable? Similar to solver in excel?

I have a table in which I track each time I contact a client. I also have a formula that uses the date contacted and cycle frequency to determine the next date to connect with the client. I also have a view that filters the view to only show future “next contact date.” I would like to create a way to show in this view only the clients I need to contact within the current 7 DAY week. I can’t come up with a formula, and the filter options for the view don’t provide a way to do this. I was thinking a separate column with a formula that would only populate if the “next contact date” column had a date for the current 7 DAY week. Maybe a checkmark and the view can be filtered if a record has a checkmark. I’m stumped and would love some thoughts.

I wrote a formula that converts options chosen from a multi-select list into a string and appends the responses when “other” is selected. I want to take the resulting comma separated string and convert them into links to connect to other records. Is there any way to do that without disrupting the formula? Or is there a way to continually copy the contents of column A into column B while being able to link column B to other records?

Hi, New to AirTable. I’ve got tables that look like: Courses (links to Units) Units (links to Modules) Modules (have a field called Video) A Unit will have one or more Modules. I know how to show Videos for a given Unit via lookup of all the Modules for a Unit. A Course will have one or more Units. What’s the best way in AirTable to show the Videos for a Course? Hello! I have 2 tables - “product” and “supplier” These tables are related: in the table “product” I see the supplier, in the table “supplier” I see what goods he has. When I am in the “supplier” table and click delete product, only the relationship between the tables is deleted. There are no changes to the “product” table. How to make it possible to remove goods from the table “supplier”? To remove not only the relationship between the tables, but also goods from the “product” table.

In my database of garden plants I use the field WETENSCHAPPELIJKE NAAM, it has two or three strings, the genus, the species and/or the variety of the plant. the variety always between apostrophe’s. I like to create a formula-field which automatically creates a CODE, the first character of each string in the field WETENSCHAPPELIJKE NAAM, without the apostroph. I tried but without the result, can somebody help?

I am creating an IF formula in the Primary field so I know which apartment my maintenance manager was in, doing what, on what date. I have a table that breaks it down by per suite so it is organized. I have this as my formula: Suite & “: " & Comments & " - " & IF({Date Completed}, " (” & DATETIME_FORMAT({Date Completed}, ‘ll’) & “)”) I copied and pasted it from a sample but it puts the date in brackets. I don’t want brackets around the date. I cannot figure out which parenthesis to eliminate. I have tried different ones but then I cannot save it due to errors in the formula. Is there a way to do this formula so the date is not in (bracketed)?
