I saw a post that showed an answer that delivered almost everything I wanted and I have pasted that in below. That post has been closed hence starting a new one. However please could someone advise how to adjust the formula so that the entry is only removed from the current year and moved to the following year once the day has passed (rather than on the day itself). For instance, using the formula below, a birthday on 27 June 2020 will disappear from the 2020 calendar on that day and appear on 27 June 2021. I would like to delay that until 28 June so I can still see the current event on the day itself (27 June in this case). Here is the formula from the previous post that I would like to adapt. Apologies for not crediting the person who posted this formula - I have navigated away from the page and can’t find it at the moment. I tried messing about with IS_AFTER but I am not sure if this is the right way to do it or how to insert that successfully into the formula if it is. DATETIME_P

Hi there! I am a public speaker, and I would like to use Airtable to track my “gigs”, from point of interest until they are complete. This will help me track documents and vital things I forget due to the long time frames this involves. One thing I am struggling with is that Gig start days and times are inconsistent. Meaning, I may do a full-day workshop for an organization, and that’s easy. But sometimes they want me to do two workshops, or smaller trainings split into multiple days but they are all part of a series. Currently, I have to add each day/time in as a separate Gig, which makes me cringe because they are NOT separate, but rather nested as part of the overall gig. I would like to not have to use multiple tables for this–is that even possible? Any ideas on how I can lay this out?

I am looking to take a long string of comma separated numbers (it is a string from a look up). Here is an example of numbers to summarize: 1.17-01, 1.17-02, 1.17-03, 1.17-04, 1.17-05, 1.17-06, 1.17-07, 1.17-08, 1.17-09, 1.17-10, 1.17-11, 1.17-12, 1.17-13, 1.17-14, 1.17-17, 1.17-18, 1.33-01, 1.33-02, 1.33-03, 1.33-04, 1.33-05, 1.33-07, 1.33-08, 1.33-09, 1.33-10, 1.33-11, 1.33-12, 1.33-13, 1.33-14, 1.33-15, 1.33-16, 1.33-17 If you look closely, there are missing numbers. I am hoping to find a formula that will output: 1.17-01 --> 1.17-14, 1.17-17, 1.17-18, 1.33-01, --> 1.33-05, 1.33-07, --> 1.33-17 I am flexible on the “–>”, but as you can see a simple dash won’t work, because dashes exist in the numbers. Has anyone seen something like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry sure there is something simple I am missing - I have a table which is essentially people rating how excited they are about different themes for a summer playscheme for disabled kiddies because I needed everyone to vote the columns are the themes and they have a rating of our 5 for every person who has filled it in - is there a way to create a chart to show which theme has the most votes? On the chart block, I can only find a way to make it from the different people and not the theme scores am I being silly?

Hello, I am trying to find out if there is a way to create a link, that when you click on it, it immediately brings you to/opens up a different table. For example: I have a main spreadsheet with labels in Column 1, stating the type of promotional item we need. T-Shirts, Coffee Cups, etc. Then I have a separate table for each type of item. So a table for T-Shirts with info on each t-shirt order. I want to be able to click on the word “T-shirts” from Column 1 in the main table, and have it open up the “T-Shirts” table with specific information on each order. I understand how to link so it will show you the records when you expand the data field, but I want to actually GO to that specific table. I also noticed if I try to do this with just a single data field, then it links ALL of the data fields in the column to the same record. I want each record to be able to link to a different table. I have three fields within my table as follows: Button Field (for the purpose of running script, available in Beta) Check Box Field (used for filtering view) Linked Record Field I am looking for script (or other method) to do the following: Click button to run script Script marks Check Box with Check Script adds all available records from linked table in the Linked Record field. For example, say there are 3 records in the linked table. When I click the button in the record in my table, the Linked Record field should populate with links to those three records. Thanks!

Hi, With AirTable, can you create a view where you see the details of a single record and a list of linked records for a given field underneath? e.g. As per the above spreadsheet example: I have a Unit that has multiple fields, e.g. course description, learning outcomes … it would link to a Sessions table with multiple records there. I tried searching the forum but could not find what I am attempting to do. My objective is to create a Case Study and Employee Resume master database. My goal is to be able to select an employee, select a project that the employee worked on, and then receive an output that shows that employees resume description for that project. I’m stuck on how to achieve this in Airtable. Here are my tables so far: Case Studies Project Name Client Name Role State Employees that Worked on the Project Description of Project Role Firm Played … Clients Client Name Projects (linked) Main Contact Email …. Employees Employee Name Title Projects Employee Worked On (Linked) I’m not certain how to get to the next step. Where should I store the employee’s project description when I have 65 employees? Can I do conditional formatting to be able to select what I want? Any help would be greatly appreciate.

I’m trying to create a single-select field for easier sorting based on a compiled age based on the Birthdate (DOB) column. Here are my formulas: Age column: DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(),{DOB}, “years”) Which returns the age of each student. Age Groups Column: IF( {Age} <= 2, ‘PRE-K’, IF( {Age} = 3, ‘3-5’, IF( {Age} = 4, ‘3-5’, IF( {Age} = 5, ‘3-5’ ) ) ) ) Please tell me there is an easier way to do this lol. I want it to autocompile, but I’d like it to be single-select rather than return plain text for the visual aspect with color coding. I hope this makes sense! The “Age Group” column is how I would like it to autocompile, allowing me to delete “Age Groups.” Attaching a photo for reference!

I am looking to create a button that will dial a number in a separate field with Ring Central. The URL I have for a standard dial is “rcmobile://call?number=+16194039535” however I’m not sure how to specify that instead of the number I want it to dial the number that is shown in the {Phone Number} field. I’ve tried various combinations at this point. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am having some issues with some fields that I’m rolling up. My goal is to use an automation via Integromat to take a Rollup field from a multi-select field in Base 1 and populate that data in Base 2 as another multi-select field. The rollup itself is generated from data in Base 1, where I have a “Posts” Table that shows various Social Media Posts. Each Post can be in multiple categories in a Multiple Select field, and each Post will link to a Report on a “Reports” Table. On the Reports Table, I am using a Rollup field to get all of the unique Categories associated with all of the linked Posts. This works perfectly when each Post only has 1 Category attached to it, but when the Post has multiple Categories attached to it, the data doesn’t show up or send to Base 2 correctly (like shown in the first screenshot). I have tried plenty of different things but can’t seem to get the data to populate correctly. I believe the issue has to do with Airtable reading each multi-select field

Hello, I am using AirTable for my plumbing company workflow. My base is currently set up with a table for Jobs (each record is a single job with info like data requested, job status, plumber, revenue, etc) and a linked table for Plumbers. I would like to be able to produce summary reports by week & month. For example, I would like to calculate the revenue generated by plumber for each week into a new record. This way I can summarize with a bar chart showing totally weekly revenue over time with a breakdown by plumber. In Excel, I would do this by creating a new Summary tab. It would have a table with Plumber Name across the columns and Week Of across the rows. I would SumIf with two arguments (date within a range and plumber name). It would have a final column totally revenue across all plumbers for each week. I could use this data to create various graphs. How can I recreate this summary in AirTable?

Hello! I am using airtable to track tasks that have been completed before a new hire starts. I currently have a Start Date (Field type is Date) and a Laptop Ordered (Field type is Checkbox). I would like to create an IF formula that comes down to: if laptop order is not checked AND the start date is less than 7 days, i get a message that says “late: needs ordering” I cannot figure out how to do IF functions with dates and then how to incorporate it into a larger, nested formula. Currently all I can get is the Check box to work I have: IF({Laptop Ordered}=1,“On Track”,“Late: Needs Ordering”)

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue that when I save an integer to a percent field, it appends 0.0% to the amount. Let’s say the value is 25 it’ll save as 250.0% anyone has an idea on why this is happening? And also on the API docs, the percent field is the only one that displays no info. Hi, I am trying to create a formula that will associate tags with a given row if that row contains text that matches entries in a row from another table. For example, we have a table that contains a set of emails received: Lisa spoke to a at b company Kyle spoke to c at d company Judy spoke to e at f company Another table contains a list of names such as: Judy Kyle Megan I want to create a field on the messages table that will show Judy and Kyle as associated tags for that message because the strings Kyle and Judy match the entries in the list of names. I’ve tried to work this both using just the formula and also a combination of the formula and conditional fields (which seems like how it was designed to be used). I have an Inventory table that contains our inventory. I have an Orders table that contains our Orders. The Orders table references the Inventory to identify which item is being purchased. On the Inventory table I’d like to create a field that sums the amount of orders placed against an Inventory item so we can tell when we’re running low. Here I do a “rollup” field that has two conditions and a summation of the values for the formula. The first checks if the order was actually purchased. When I only use this condition, the field sums correctly. The second condition is suppose to take the linked field on the Orders table and check if it is the same as the Inventory Name. I try to use the {Name} designation for the field in the record but that doesn’t work. I’ve also tried a string just to see if that would work and it doesn

I would like to write a simple script block triggered by the new beta button to update fields in the record which the button was push. The use can is this. Our team uses a base to track orders through a production environment: planning to operations to lab to shipping. There are several fields that have to be updated to move the records from one department’s view to the next and it would be great to automate these updates with a button. I have no javascript experience so I really don’t know where to even start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to wrap text that’s in a grid view. There doesn’t seem to be any control that allows for wrapping of text. I’m having the same problem with Page Designer as I had within the table itself: linked fields can’t be wrapped and get cut off by the width of the column.
