Using Devonthink 3 Pro, I can capture text from whatever source (eg websites, etc). then use a keyboard shortcut of my own making via Word Service, to reformat - stripping out all links, line endings, headings, bold, etc etc. What I’d like to do is copy and paste direct into a long text field in AT and have the field reformat it? Is that possible, and if so would I need to use a formula or script and if so what would the formula be and how would I go about it? tia

Hi all I’m trying to find a way to record, within a table, an ongoing “history” of when a checkbox has been checked/unchecked. The first stage is simple enough, e.g. a formula field that outputs today’s date when the box is initially selected - IF({Yes/No}=“1”, DATETIME_FORMAT(TODAY(), “DD/MM/YYYY”), “”) but what I then want is an additional field that keeps a kind of tally of when the box has been checked/unchecked, i.e. “Approved 03/07/2020; removed 10/07/2020; approved 13/07/2020…” etc. I think it will probably involve using a “last modified” field but I can’t work out how to make the “tallying” part of the formula, rather than just updating each time there is a change. Can anyone advise if this is possible to do? Thank you!

Hi! Does anyone know the appropriate way to getting a form header to automatically resize depending on the device being used? Or which dimensions I should be using when I create the header for it to look OK on all sized devices? I currently have an image (that includes words) for the header of a form and while it looks great on a laptop, pulling it up on a mobile device cuts the image awkwardly. Any help much appreciated. Hello all! I want to have countdown (showing how many days left) based on the stage (a single select field) of a record. Each stage should take a certain amount of time to complete, so the goal is to see how many days left I have to complete a stage. Then once I change it to the next stage, that countdown is reset to the parameters of the next stage. I have parameters are mostly set by formula-based date fields that live in the table. So it would look something like this: If {Stage}=Stage 1, calculate difference between {date 1} & 14 days from {date 1} If {Stage}=Stage 2, calculate difference between {date 2} & 14 days from {date 2} If {Stage}=Stage 3, calculate difference between {date 3} & 28 days from {date 3} If {Stage}=Stage Complete, “Complete” I tried doing a DATETIME_DIFF inside of the If function, but have been struggling with errors. Seems pretty straight-forward, but I can’t figure it out… Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

I am using Airtable as a data source for an app on AppSheet. Everything seems to work well except for values from linked tables. As shown in the image below, when a value is coming from a linked table, it is showing the record ID instead of the actual value. How can I fix this?

I noticed the date value provided is structured as M/D/YYYY. Is this consistent across all users? Or does this change depending on regions? ie. D/M/YYYY for EMEA Airtable users, M/D/YYYY for US Airtable users, etc. This might be a new Feature Request, but it would be awesome if CellRenderer can provide an easy Field type toggle to generate more consistent “universal” dates. I would love to see something like YYYY-MM-DD being available.

I’ve got a calendar view in my base for which I’m using an ical subscription link to have it show up in my calendar app. For some reason, when I look in my calendar app, every single event has the character “:” added to the end the event name. (For example, “Meeting with Marcy:” instead of “Meeting with Marcy”.) There is no colon in the event names in the airtable calendar. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

I would like to share a base to several “commenters” that need to be unknown to each other. At the moment, seems like a commenter can see the emails of the other commenters to whom I have shared the base with. I would like that a commenter wasn’t able to see the others. Is there a way to achieve this? Thanks

I’m struggling a bit with linked records and getting the required data for them. Let’s assume that I have a contacts table that list different contacts by a contact ID. I have another table that I record every communication I do with a contact. The fields are: contact ID (same ID as in the contacts table), date, type, remarks, etc… Now, since there are various communications with each contact, there are many rows (or records) with the same contact ID, one for each communication. I want to add a field in the contacts table that would show the latest communication date for that contact. I couldn’t find any way to do that. What am I doing wrong? Thanks a lot.

Use Case: You have a table of stylists, therapists, technicians, etc. (“agents”) who perform any number of services, and customers are supposed to schedule an appointment with an agent to perform a service but only when that agent is available. While you think the No-Conflict Asset Reservations script is great, it doesn’t take into account your need to schedule an agent for more than one appointment per day. Solution: No-Conflict Appointment script by Kamille. An improvement upon my previous script, you can now schedule same-day appointments assuming those appointments don’t overlap. It allows users to select a service, pick a qualified agent/employee to perform that service, and then select upcoming dates and times which work for that agent. The script opts to use buttons as opposed to text box inputs to reduce human error in typing in correctly formatted date/time strings. I’ve been using the expandRecord() function call to provide a quick way to update content in my Block interface, but I would LOVE to use that flow for new data entry as well. Is that possible? I’ve read through the documentation and example projects and I didn’t see this noted. And expandRecord() does currently require a record to be passed to it.

Sorry I do search the help topics honestly - why is that I cannot see blocks - it is in a base that has been shared with me, the lady who has shared it is a pro user, I am a pro user, we work for the same organisation collaborating on the same base but because it’s showing as a shared base rather than in my pro workspace I cannot see the blocks :frowning: - any ideas? Coincidently when I share a base with her she can see the blocks whereas I just get an option to upgrade

So this is probably a dumb question, but I have hit a wall! How do you write into a Date/Time field with the current date in the locale timezone? I have tried the .toLocaleString() method and the console will output everything perfectly, but nothing shows up in the field. This is what I have. var rightNow = new Date(); var res = rightNow.toLocaleString(); table.updateRecordAsync(record,{ "Date/Time Submitted To Shipping": res }) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Update: I can get the Date/Time in a Date/Time field by using the .toISOString() method, but the time is 5 hours off.

Hi, I’m creating a table that includes links to external websites like facebook pages, instagram profiles, personal websites, etc. I’d like to track how many people click on each of the unique links. Is there a way to do that? Airtable’s Support team told me this is not a native feature. Anyone have creative ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

Hello! I recently got into canning (and general food preservation). I have created a database which helps me manage my inventory levels of products I have canned (Example: Jars of: Carrots, Green Beans, Jams, Jelly, etc). In my table where I record batch information - I am recorded the date I created that batch of product. I’d like to have a column (called Age) that returns the age of the product (batch) in #.## format. For example: If I created a batch of product today, it’s age should read: “0.00” meaning its 0 years and 0 months old. If I created a batch 1 year ago, I’d like it to say “1.00” because it’s a year old. If I created a batch ‘days short of it being 2 yrs old’, I’d like it to say “1.11” because it’s 1 year old and 11 months. Any help would be greately appreciated.

I’m having an issue with the “new record in a view” trigger for Zapier. I have records that will be moving in and out of several views based on user activity. The same record may enter or exit a view several times, but I want the Zap to trigger each time. However, a certain record can only trigger the Zap for a specific view once. If it exits that view and reenters, it will not trigger the Zap a second time. Zapier explained that this is due to Airtable not supporting webhooks. I was wondering, has anyone else found a workaround for this?

The Sharing Views feature just stopped working. I’ve consistently shared view of Kanban Tables and embedded them on my website for the past couple of years. Yesterday, clicking the "Embed this view on your site started taking me to an Airtable page with the following message… Sorry, the page you were looking for was not found. Return home or get some help. This is a critical feature for my business, and I’m unable to contact Airtable by telephone, and have to wait up to 72 hours to get my business back up and running??? Not saying the problem is Airtable’s fault, but you guys need a better support model if you want to keep my business. Love the product, but losing confidence in your ability to communicate with the customer.

Hello! I work for a university and have made a gallery view of research resources to be displayed on our department website. I only want a few sections displayed on the cards, however I want more sections displayed when someone clicks on a card. I also do not want everything to show when someone clicks on the card; just a few other sections that are not displayed on the card itself. When selecting sections to show and hide, this also applies to when you select the card and I am trying to customize the views on both the card and when you select it. Is this possible? And can someone help me figure this out? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I have a table, a collection of URLs to different articles and videos. I wanted to have the text parsed from these URLs (the content of the article, description of a youtube video). I made it with python (beautifulsoup4) and made a serverless function for this. When I’m running it in scripting block, it gives an error message (‘TypeError: Failed to fetch at Failed to fetch’). It appears sometimes after passing perfectly 10 URLs and sometimes after 38, or after 3. So it looks completely random. When it runs to an error, I test it with the serverless function outside of Airtable’s scripting block, and it works fine there. Do you know anything, what could cause the error in random lines? It is not a problem specific to AirTable : it would be the same with any other relational database, and it is an open one… What I’m aware of : the most consistent solution would be to have a single ‘Ledger’ table containing both income and expenses. Reason why I would prefer separate tables : the ‘Income’ table is deeply related to the already complicated CRM part of my base the ‘Expenses’ table is related to the Providers part of my base there is no correlation between those parts of the base, and I like it that way ! #K.I.S.S. the data in those two tables are of completely different natures My need : I simply want to compute a monthly net revenue bar chart in a block !
