Use Case: You have a table of stylists, therapists, technicians, etc. (“agents”) who perform any number of services, and customers are supposed to schedule an appointment with an agent to perform a service but only when that agent is available. While you think the No-Conflict Asset Reservations script is great, it doesn’t take into account your need to schedule an agent for more than one appointment per day. Solution: No-Conflict Appointment script by Kamille. An improvement upon my previous script, you can now schedule same-day appointments assuming those appointments don’t overlap. It allows users to select a service, pick a qualified agent/employee to perform that service, and then select upcoming dates and times which work for that agent. The script opts to use buttons as opposed to text box inputs to reduce human error in typing in correctly formatted date/time strings. I’ve been using the expandRecord() function call to provide a quick way to update content in my Block interface, but I would LOVE to use that flow for new data entry as well. Is that possible? I’ve read through the documentation and example projects and I didn’t see this noted. And expandRecord() does currently require a record to be passed to it.

Sorry I do search the help topics honestly - why is that I cannot see blocks - it is in a base that has been shared with me, the lady who has shared it is a pro user, I am a pro user, we work for the same organisation collaborating on the same base but because it’s showing as a shared base rather than in my pro workspace I cannot see the blocks :frowning: - any ideas? Coincidently when I share a base with her she can see the blocks whereas I just get an option to upgrade

So this is probably a dumb question, but I have hit a wall! How do you write into a Date/Time field with the current date in the locale timezone? I have tried the .toLocaleString() method and the console will output everything perfectly, but nothing shows up in the field. This is what I have. var rightNow = new Date(); var res = rightNow.toLocaleString(); table.updateRecordAsync(record,{ "Date/Time Submitted To Shipping": res }) Any help would be greatly appreciated! Update: I can get the Date/Time in a Date/Time field by using the .toISOString() method, but the time is 5 hours off.

Hi, I’m creating a table that includes links to external websites like facebook pages, instagram profiles, personal websites, etc. I’d like to track how many people click on each of the unique links. Is there a way to do that? Airtable’s Support team told me this is not a native feature. Anyone have creative ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

Hello! I recently got into canning (and general food preservation). I have created a database which helps me manage my inventory levels of products I have canned (Example: Jars of: Carrots, Green Beans, Jams, Jelly, etc). In my table where I record batch information - I am recorded the date I created that batch of product. I’d like to have a column (called Age) that returns the age of the product (batch) in #.## format. For example: If I created a batch of product today, it’s age should read: “0.00” meaning its 0 years and 0 months old. If I created a batch 1 year ago, I’d like it to say “1.00” because it’s a year old. If I created a batch ‘days short of it being 2 yrs old’, I’d like it to say “1.11” because it’s 1 year old and 11 months. Any help would be greately appreciated.

I’m having an issue with the “new record in a view” trigger for Zapier. I have records that will be moving in and out of several views based on user activity. The same record may enter or exit a view several times, but I want the Zap to trigger each time. However, a certain record can only trigger the Zap for a specific view once. If it exits that view and reenters, it will not trigger the Zap a second time. Zapier explained that this is due to Airtable not supporting webhooks. I was wondering, has anyone else found a workaround for this?

The Sharing Views feature just stopped working. I’ve consistently shared view of Kanban Tables and embedded them on my website for the past couple of years. Yesterday, clicking the "Embed this view on your site started taking me to an Airtable page with the following message… Sorry, the page you were looking for was not found. Return home or get some help. This is a critical feature for my business, and I’m unable to contact Airtable by telephone, and have to wait up to 72 hours to get my business back up and running??? Not saying the problem is Airtable’s fault, but you guys need a better support model if you want to keep my business. Love the product, but losing confidence in your ability to communicate with the customer.

Hello! I work for a university and have made a gallery view of research resources to be displayed on our department website. I only want a few sections displayed on the cards, however I want more sections displayed when someone clicks on a card. I also do not want everything to show when someone clicks on the card; just a few other sections that are not displayed on the card itself. When selecting sections to show and hide, this also applies to when you select the card and I am trying to customize the views on both the card and when you select it. Is this possible? And can someone help me figure this out? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I have a table, a collection of URLs to different articles and videos. I wanted to have the text parsed from these URLs (the content of the article, description of a youtube video). I made it with python (beautifulsoup4) and made a serverless function for this. When I’m running it in scripting block, it gives an error message (‘TypeError: Failed to fetch at Failed to fetch’). It appears sometimes after passing perfectly 10 URLs and sometimes after 38, or after 3. So it looks completely random. When it runs to an error, I test it with the serverless function outside of Airtable’s scripting block, and it works fine there. Do you know anything, what could cause the error in random lines? It is not a problem specific to AirTable : it would be the same with any other relational database, and it is an open one… What I’m aware of : the most consistent solution would be to have a single ‘Ledger’ table containing both income and expenses. Reason why I would prefer separate tables : the ‘Income’ table is deeply related to the already complicated CRM part of my base the ‘Expenses’ table is related to the Providers part of my base there is no correlation between those parts of the base, and I like it that way ! #K.I.S.S. the data in those two tables are of completely different natures My need : I simply want to compute a monthly net revenue bar chart in a block ! Hi there, so i have a question related to a monthly/yearly payment and how that works with collaborators. I noticed that I could pay for a Pro subscription for let’s say a month or year - and then from there, invite others to my workspace. How does this work with collaborators if i already payed for a year? If i’m already collaborating on a workspace with somebody and then i want to upgrade to Pro, then i have to pay twice the amount, but i pay before i invite someone I only pay once? That seems a bit odd. Could someone clarify this for me? My “problem” is that i do all the setup for a friend of mine. I designed his workflow and he just works with a mobile app to fill the data. But i’m not sure if i have to pay for 2 people each time? i’m not really using it anymore after i do all the setup, just maintaining a bit for some improvements. I like to stay the owner and he the editor so he can’t change important stuff.

I checked that on Airtable data UI by applying the same filter and it’s working fine over Airtable UI but not working in API calling when I applying the same filter via API.

I need to create a summary table that counts the number of times an individual product shows up in a list of linked records. For example, I have a table called “Assortments” and a table called “Fruits” that are linked. Assortment 1 has 2 apples and 2 pomegranates, while Assortment 2 has 1 apple and 2 pineapples. A third table, “Orders”, lists the assortments ordered. How can I summarize the data from the “Orders” table into how many of each individual fruit has been ordered (X apples, X pomegranates, X pineapples)?

We’re working on submitting a Team Voting block with a twist. And we noticed that there isn’t any visual controller for editing the fonts within the block (eg. editing the question, and the answers styles). Is this intentional? Is there a specific style our fonts should adhere to? If so, I’d love to know where we can get this info from, as to submit it pre-configured for this specific font style. Otherwise, end-users won’t be able to change the font. :roll_eyes:

Hello! I have built a :zap: Zap that sends colleagues an email reminder if the deadline for a task is past due. I am wondering if it’s possible to include in the Zap email an Airtable link to the specific record? This would enable the recipient to quickly click the link and be taken directly to the record for edits. Perhaps there’s a formula to add the record’s unique URL? I have created a formula referencing key dates that returns the values of “Past”, “Present”, or “Future”. I would like to filter a view showing only “Present” or “Future” records. I also want to filter out any record where the status is “Rejected” I can do (PPF means Past, Present or Future): Where PPF contains Present Or PPF contains Future This satisfies my first requirement. But I’d like to add: And Status is not Rejected But it only allows another “Or” statement, not an “AND” statement Alternately (preferably) I’d like to be able to say: Where PPF contains “Present” or “Future” Perhaps my syntax is wrong, but the filter for text fields doesn’t seem to offer boolean operations like this. My work around is to have a single-select field rather than formula where I can just choose “Past”, “Present” or “Future”. This allows me to choose the “is any of” option in the filter. But then I have to update these fields manually when the dates come and go. Suggestions?

I have employees fill in an Airtable form to submit time they work on each billable client/project. To save them time I want it to automatically fill in that day’s date. But by chance, if they enter time a day late I want them to have the option to change that date if needed. I haven’t been able to locate the answer to this quite yet, although I’m sure it may be out there. Thanks for any help to this Airtable newb!

Hey guys, I have hundreds of records that contain one of 12 combinations of initials. I want to create a new column that finds those initials and depending on what they are, write the entire name. For example: Column A includes: 2017-02-07.boe_.ag_.pdf 2017-02-07.bos_.ag_.pdf 2017-02-09.bof_.ag_.pdf I want the formula for Column B to find the initials, and write in the full name following these rules: if it finds “boe”, write “Board of Education” if it finds “bos”, write “Board of Selectmen” if it finds “bof”, write “Board of Finance” So, the end result in Column B would be: Board of Education Board of Selectmen Board of Finance Thanks for any and all help with this! I am very new to AirTable. Here’s what I would like to accomplish. An email is sent to AirTable, which is then triggered/processed because it contains a specific subject of “Inventory”. AirTable then looks at the body of the email and looks for fields with thier values. For example, the email could look like: Body: Batch = 000012 User = Mary Jane Usage Type = Discarded I would then have a table in my database which contains columns named: “Batch”, “User” and “Usage Type”. I would like the values (after the equal sign) to be added into their matching columns as a new record in the table. I have a method for creating the emails, and I can have them formatted in anyway to get this to work correctly. I looked into Zapier which appeared to be my only solution, but even that I struggled with setting up. Any kind of advice, tips, articles, videos, would be greatly appreciated!
