Solved

Hi @all, I am trying to move everything that has the “finished” checkbox checked to another table. Is this possible? I am using integromat’s automation system. here is what I’ve tried:

I want to generate HTML code for a link so I can merge a URL into an email. So I need something like: “<a href=” &""" & {Article URL}& “”" & “>article” But this doesn’t work. Is there a way to ensure that the formula can produce a "?

I’m trying to figure this out and can’t for the life of me. Basically, this was a template in the AirTable Universe and when it’s a meal from leftovers I want it to say not just “Leftovers”, but which leftovers: ie “Leftovers (Beef Tacos)”. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it. Here’s the formula that is currently in the table: I tried to do nesting IF statements and could not get it to work. I saw on a different post here that some people have conditional roll up fields, but I don’t seem to have that option (there’s no toggle on my roll up options to add conditions). Help is appreciated.

I would like to have a field in my table that shows the URL for each of the records so that this can easily be added to an email in a mail merge. I realize that I can copy the URL for any record and then paste it into the URL field that has been to the table, but there must be a simple way to just display the record URL. Thanks, Mike Morse

When adding/ editing information in a linked record, a lot of unnecessary details are displayed, which are confusing. Can I “simplify” the view by just displaying the main field value, but not all the additional fields? I only want the field value (in large letters), but not all the related values (i.e. in the image, I want to hide all the information in the red boxes). How can I do it?

HI, I read the document : https://airtable.com/appEYx9XUfEttr3Nr/api/docs#curl/table:table%201:update I just copy and past the code… and i get errors… but getting records or creating records it is working… I put the api_key as a parameter and in headers both doesn’t work for updating the records… In the header is put Content-Type: application/json https://api.airtable.com/v0/appEYx9XUfEttr3Nr/Table%201 { "records": [ { "id": "recwpwzgzp7pTHfMb", "fields": { "Name": "test", "Notes": "test" } }, { "id": "recjKjPPQqaXh60MH", "fields": { "Name": "test2", "Notes": "test2" } } ] } { “error”: { “type”: “INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN”, “message”: “Invalid request: parameter validation failed. Check your request data.” } }

Hi all! I’m trying to read from two tables using useRecords which have a limited number of fields to create a stateful content variable which I have to pass on to the next react Component. Here’s my code const { translator, compId } = props; // Block viewport const viewport = useViewport(); const [editorVisible, setEditorVisible] = useState(false); const [content, setContent] = useState(demoContent[0].content); // Block settings button useSettingsButton(function () { if (viewport.isFullscreen) { setEditorVisible(!editorVisible); } else { viewport.enterFullscreenIfPossible(); setEditorVisible(true); } }); // read the current tables and translate the content to // 'content' object const contentTable = base.getTableByName("Content"); const detailsTable = base.getTableByName("Details"); const contents = useRecords(contentTable); const details = useRecords(detailsTable); const relevantDetail = details[0]; const myContent = conten

I would like the # Field “T” to tally up all the checkboxes across the record. Is there formula for that?

I have a table with columns like: Name (Single Line Text) | Partner (Link to "Name") ----------------------- | -------------------------- John Doe | `Jane Doe` Jane Doe | (Empty) Bob Smith | `Mary Smith` `Kevin Smith` Mary Smith | (Empty) Kevin Smith | (Empty) Alan Stephens | (Empty) I’d like to create a new view for this table with filtering like: WHERE {Partner (field)} is not empty OR {Partner (column)} does not contain {Name} such that the result would be: Name (Single Line Text) | Partner (Link to "Name") ----------------------- | -------------------------- John Doe | `Jane Doe` Bob Smith | `Mary Smith` `Kevin Smith` Alan Stephens | (Empty) The challenge here is that on line 1 of my filter, I’m looking for “records with no records linked in their Partner column”, but on line 2 I’m looking for “records which are not found in the Partner column for any other recor

My base is huge. I need a way to one click back it up for my peace of mind. thank you.

I have 5 fields with different time formats which can be date, hours, minutes, seconds… ex: Field 1: 4 days Field 2: 2 hours Field 3: 2,5 days Field 4: 15 mins Field 5: 25 seconds Field 6 = sum (field 1 + field 2+ field 3+field 4+ field 5 ) with ‘days’ format Which formula I can use in this situation ?

I would like to fill a field that results in this HTML text The items in italics are Airtable fields within that Airtable table <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <body> <h4 style="text-align:center;">*Workshop Title* </h4> <p style="text-align:center;">*text Date Range Friendly* <br>*Text Bottomline* <br>*Medium* </body> </p> </body> </html>

Hi, I think I’ve figured out how to retrieve a unique record in my table using the following filter, but how can I get the ID of resulting query? let filteredRecords = query.records.filter(record => { let name = record.getCellValue('Order/Shipment ID'); return name !== null && name === range }); I’ve tried the following but am getting an error let filteredRecordsResult = filteredRecords.records[0]; output.text(filteredRecordsResult.id); Error: TypeError: Cannot read property ‘0’ of undefined

I have tables “customers” “orders” and “products” Products has a multiple choice for product type. Orders is linked to the customer and the product with a date. I am looking for a solution to find the last time a product was ordered by a client in an overview/ filter/ group. Example: Product Type A “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” Product Type B “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” I would love to hear some ideas or if you know anywhere else in the form where it is discussed. Thanks in advance BH

Hello, I’m attempting to use airable to manage a tag filtering system that feeds into a 3rd party database for my job. Problem is that multiple select tags seem to add an arbitrary space when converted to a string. This effectively eliminates its usefulness as our system cannot parse it. Example: Is there any easy way to get around this? Perhaps an extra formula step to remove the space after each comma? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I am a little confused with exactly how to write an IF statement that checks that all three of the following conditions are true: {Status} = “” {Replacement Required} = “Yes” IF(NOW() > WORKDAY({Date Created},2) I have the first two worked out, but when I try to add the third condition I am struggling to get it to work. Any assistance gratefully received.

Hey guys! I’m looking to add an if formula to the formula below. What I need is that if the “fixture model #”, the “bulb model #” or the “miscellaneous” fields are empty, the output of the concatenate funtion is “N/A” CONCATENATE({Name (from Orders)}," - “,”(",Quantity,") “,{Fixture Model #},” / “,{Bulb Model #},” / ",{Miscellaneous}) Thanks in advance!

Using Devonthink 3 Pro, I can capture text from whatever source (eg websites, etc). then use a keyboard shortcut of my own making via Word Service, to reformat - stripping out all links, line endings, headings, bold, etc etc. What I’d like to do is copy and paste direct into a long text field in AT and have the field reformat it? Is that possible, and if so would I need to use a formula or script and if so what would the formula be and how would I go about it? tia

Hi all! I’m trying to create a new table using base.unstable_createTableAsync following the example in the guide. This is the code I’m using - const fields = [{ name: "MyField", field: FieldType.SINGLE_LINE_TEXT }]; if (base.unstable_hasPermissionToCreateTable("MyTable", fields)) { await base.unstable_createTableAsync("MyTable", fields); // and create records } But I keep getting the error Uncaught (in promise) Error: Can't create table: invalid field config for field 'MyField'. Hi all I’m trying to find a way to record, within a table, an ongoing “history” of when a checkbox has been checked/unchecked. The first stage is simple enough, e.g. a formula field that outputs today’s date when the box is initially selected - IF({Yes/No}=“1”, DATETIME_FORMAT(TODAY(), “DD/MM/YYYY”), “”) but what I then want is an additional field that keeps a kind of tally of when the box has been checked/unchecked, i.e. “Approved 03/07/2020; removed 10/07/2020; approved 13/07/2020…” etc. I think it will probably involve using a “last modified” field but I can’t work out how to make the “tallying” part of the formula, rather than just updating each time there is a change. Can anyone advise if this is possible to do? Thank you!

Hi! Does anyone know the appropriate way to getting a form header to automatically resize depending on the device being used? Or which dimensions I should be using when I create the header for it to look OK on all sized devices? I currently have an image (that includes words) for the header of a form and while it looks great on a laptop, pulling it up on a mobile device cuts the image awkwardly. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello all! I want to have countdown (showing how many days left) based on the stage (a single select field) of a record. Each stage should take a certain amount of time to complete, so the goal is to see how many days left I have to complete a stage. Then once I change it to the next stage, that countdown is reset to the parameters of the next stage. I have parameters are mostly set by formula-based date fields that live in the table. So it would look something like this: If {Stage}=Stage 1, calculate difference between {date 1} & 14 days from {date 1} If {Stage}=Stage 2, calculate difference between {date 2} & 14 days from {date 2} If {Stage}=Stage 3, calculate difference between {date 3} & 28 days from {date 3} If {Stage}=Stage Complete, “Complete” I tried doing a DATETIME_DIFF inside of the If function, but have been struggling with errors. Seems pretty straight-forward, but I can’t figure it out… Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

I am using Airtable as a data source for an app on AppSheet. Everything seems to work well except for values from linked tables. As shown in the image below, when a value is coming from a linked table, it is showing the record ID instead of the actual value. How can I fix this?

I noticed the date value provided is structured as M/D/YYYY. Is this consistent across all users? Or does this change depending on regions? ie. D/M/YYYY for EMEA Airtable users, M/D/YYYY for US Airtable users, etc. This might be a new Feature Request, but it would be awesome if CellRenderer can provide an easy Field type toggle to generate more consistent “universal” dates. I would love to see something like YYYY-MM-DD being available.

I’ve got a calendar view in my base for which I’m using an ical subscription link to have it show up in my calendar app. For some reason, when I look in my calendar app, every single event has the character “:” added to the end the event name. (For example, “Meeting with Marcy:” instead of “Meeting with Marcy”.) There is no colon in the event names in the airtable calendar. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
