Hi everyone, I’m the founder of BaseMailer, an Airtable extension I built after running into the same issue many of you have probably faced: sending and managing emails from Airtable is harder than it should be. With BaseMailer, you can now 🎨 Design emails with a drag-and-drop builder inside Airtable 📎 Attach files directly from records ✉️ Send bulk or one-off emails without exporting data 🔄 Automate email sends when a record is created, updated, or enters a view ✅ Stay compliant with unsubscribe groups & preference links 📊 Track opens and clicks right in your base My goal is to make Airtable feel like it has a native email system.Check out this short video. Here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://dub.sh/basemailer I’d love feedback from the Airtable community — what’s your current workflow for emails, and what features would make this more useful for you?
Here's a Tampermonkey script that'll let you set the colors of the columns!(Tampermonkey lets you install scripts in your browser to customize and add functionality to a site, in this case, Airtable! https://www.tampermonkey.net/)To use it, you'll need to set up the exact field IDs and colors that you want those fields, as well as the opacity when hovering over the row / having a cell selected:const opacity = 0.4 const colorMap = { "fldI5EIoOG25a85F7": { r: 255, g: 224, b: 204 }, "fldxj4ka7M2FwkJAP": { r: 207, g: 245, b: 209 }, "fldAPHkUW98PsaZV3": { r: 255, g: 234, b: 182 } }; I've placed instructions on how to get the field IDs and RGB color codes in the code itself. Let me know if there are any bugs and I'll get them sorted!I've also got another script that lets you customize the headers itself in this other forum post---// ==UserScript==// @name Airtable Column Colors// @namespace http://thetimesaving.company// @version 22-Jan-25// @description Changes
I've seen so many posts here about the challenges of building forms in Airtable, especially when you need multiple pages or a more custom layout. Let me bring you the tool that will solve all your design headaches: Plumsail Forms.Try it with a free plan: https://plumsail.com/forms/public-forms/#try-now In minutes, you’ll have a professional, integrated form that creates and updates records in Airtable. You simply connect Plumsail to your Airtable base, then drag and drop fields onto your form. From there, you can customize the layout exactly the way you want it. Here's a look at what you can do with Plumsail Forms: 📖 Multipage Forms: Create a smooth user experience by breaking up long forms into multiple, manageable pages. 🧱 Flexible Layouts: Build complex designs using Grids with multiple columns. You can precisely control the field layout, stack fields together, and make your forms look exactly how you want them to. 📁Organize content: Use Tabs or Accordions to organize your fo
I've been working with Airtable APIs lately and got tired of the usual hassle - you know, logging into the API docs, hunting through pages to find your Base ID, copying the wrong string... it's annoying.Just built this free tool that solves exactly this problem. You literally just paste any Airtable URL and it instantly extracts the Base ID, Table ID, and View ID for you. No sign-up, no BS.Check it out here: https://shortcuts.sequentialroutine.com/base-idWhat I love about it:- Takes 2 seconds instead of 2 minutes- Works with any Airtable link- Everything happens locally in your browser (no data gets sent anywhere)- One-click copy buttons for each IDBeen using it for our own iOS Shortcuts and API integrations https://shortcuts.sequentialroutine.com . Super handy if you're doing any automation work with Airtable or just need those IDs quickly.The tool is completely free and works right in your browser. Worth bookmarking if you work with Airtable regularly.
I have a table with a multiple select field monday, thusday etc etc. I will make a view or a 2nd database where I can show and count all the people on the different days.Monday : count : namesThusday : count : namesetc How can I do this?
Hey everyone - my new Airtable course has just launched on Udemy. This is quite a specific niche, so honestly didn’t go into this thinking there would be too much interest; however, this is something I’m truly passionate about and wanted to share this knowledge with the world as I know how life-changing it can be once you’ve set up systems like the one we’re building in this course. Feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn for more info: https://www.linkedin.com/in/krisvanhuystee/Still sending the same messages every week by hand?This course shows you how to build an internal communications system that writes and sends tailored messages for you—automatically, on schedule, and without the busywork.Using Airtable as your control hub and Slack and Gmail as your delivery engines, you’ll learn how to send dynamic, personalized messages to the right people at the right time—covering everything from onboarding and anniversaries to birthday shoutouts and team updates. Hi all, I've been building an Airtable product called AirDiff over the last ~6 weeks and wanted to share with ya'll since it might be super useful for you. It's built by an Airtable power-user, for Airtable power-users! The tech stack is Next.JS, Typescript, and Tailwind CSS on the front-end, n8n on the back-end, and PostgreSQL on the database layer.I spent a lot of time on UX, design, and making it intuitive and useful so hopefully its reflected if/when using it. The product is like a mini version of Github and Datadog, but for Airtable. (version control, observability, monitoring, historical tracking, analytics). You basically add a script to any Airtable base, and it'll track all of your schema changes through time (table creation/deletions, field creations/deletions, changing the condition of a field, the text, the choices, table view changes, etc)Some of the things you can do:Generate a developer style Changelog of all of the schema changes over you did on a base over the last da
Airtable comments are super valuable. They capture quick discussions, context, or decisions that you don’t always want to put directly into fields.But I’ve noticed that when people actually want to review comments, they usually have to open records one by one. That makes it hard to see everything in one place, analyze discussions, or keep a record without a lot of manual work.I know there’s an API that can pull this data, but I ended up creating a small tool for people who aren’t very technical and find APIs difficult to use.The tool lets you filter comments (by table, author, date, or keyword) and export them into something more usable like CSV or JSON.If this fits your use case, you can check it out here: https://viewsandbases.com/comment-exporter
Not sure how relevant to this audience this is, or if there are other Playstation <> Airtable nerds out there, but I made a public interface page for collecting and gathering user feedback for free PSN avatar codes that usually are floating out there in the ether. Since it’s gained some traction I figured I’d post here just to share ~ Check it out and submit any avatar codes you find out there, if you’d like! Hi Airtable community,My first extention is now available.Link Record Helper - Marketplace - AirtableIt is a simple function to copy and paste multiple selected records into one Link to other table field.Just copy, paste, click, and paste. Simple design, no settings needed.For example by displaying only the primary fields in the Grid View, you can freely select records using check boxes. Also, it is possible to convert a single Link to other table list to multiple records. (To tell the truth, I can't think of a use case for this one)I would be grateful if you could report bugs and reviews.Thanks.
Hey everyone,I'm a developer exploring a new SaaS tool specifically for agencies and consultants who build on Airtable, and I'd be grateful for your expert feedback.From my research, a recurring pain point seems to be managing multiple client bases at scale. The manual process of updating formulas or adding fields across 15+ duplicated bases sounds like a maintenance nightmare, and Airtable's native sync has its limits.The solution I'm building is a simple utility called BaseFoundry. The concept is a dashboard where you can define a "master" base and then push structural updates (like a new field or a changed formula) to all your client "instances" in one click without us touching any of your unique data.For the agency owners and ultimate users here: Does this solve a real problem for you? Is this a "nice to have," or a "give it to me now" kind of tool? Am I missing a key feature that would make this indispensable? I've put up a one-page site explaining the idea here: https://subsc
Sharing here because obviously the team I’m working for can’t appreciate it as much as you all will!! And the Airtable community is amazing!! Took me a hot minute and it’s a bit convoluted with lots of helper fields (if you have a better/cleaner way, please share!!), but I finally figured out how to get a linked field into a nice list with comma separators and an “and” just before the last item. I use this in a template email. I may do a Loom video if anyone wants it, just let me know in the comments. Requirements: 2 tables linked :slightly_smiling_face: In table 1: First Name Field First Name Length Field - This is essentially a character count of the length of the first names. If your scenario may have more than 99 characters you’ll need to add two zeros in front of the numbers less than 10, and other formulas later may need to change. Thanks to Airtable forum for this formula: IF( LEN( {First Name} )<10, ‘0’ )&LEN( {First Name} ) In Table 2: Linked Records Field Rollup
Early this year I wrote a script1 to help a user organize some sequential events, where one event would start when the previous event ended. Rather than continue to post updates to that original thread, I felt it would be best to start a new one. This script lets you go from this: …to this: Change durations and re-run the script to re-calculate the relevant start and end times (no need to clear fields first!) Choose as many fixed start times as you wish, and those times will remain untouched while the others calculate based on the end time of the previous record Tip: use record coloring to mark records with fixed start times, then hide the checkbox field for a cleaner view Download the latest version of the script here: gist.github.com https://gist.github.com/justinsbarrett/2ebae3bd1c0a1e3956bfb3338ac6aeda setSequentialEventTimes-scriptApp.js // Allow user to select the table and view to use, and which fields will be affected const config = input.config(
Recently I tried out a few experiments using AI to do SEO analysis on competitor websites and formulate a strategy that can be used to beat them. This performed really well for most internal SEO teams as they got new and insightful strategies based on current data All you need is a keyword and a backend workflow scraps all the pages ranking for that keyword. The content and site structure is analysed by AI and a strategy on how to go about the strategy is providedThe next step is creating a new blog based on a combination of different strategies from the above steps to generate a unique high-quality blog postIf you would like to test it or have a custom AI integration feel free to PM or email me at zacharia@effibotics.com
This a product I build on airtable, and automated the backed using n8n to create powerful SEO manager that can automate basically all your SEO tasks from keyword research, competitor research, write AI blogs and publish to wordpress.I liked Airtable as its much easier to use and manage with the free tier, and can be easily automated to create complex systemsYou can access the template here

TL;DR:I’m a non-technical cartoonist who built a fully chat-controlled editorial system using Airtable’s API and OpenAI Actions (via ChatGPT Teams). I can manage my entire cartoon workflow—images, captions, submissions, rights, and tagging—just by talking to it. No middleware, no third-party tools. It handles flexible inputs, reads image fields, and edits any table or field naturally. Happy to share details if anyone’s doing something similar.Why I built it:I draw single-panel, black-and-white gag cartoons (like what you’d find in The New Yorker). I needed a way to track and submit work, manage captions, analyze themes, and stay organized across multiple stages of a cartoon’s life. I had no editor or agent—so I built one.What it does:Reads and analyzes cartoon images alongside their captions Tags tone, subjectivity, and humor style Edits any field across multiple linked tables (submissions, rights, cooldowns, etc.) Works from vague or partial prompts like: “Update BalloonBomb’s caption

We’ve been using Airtable as a backend for lightweight apps — like a project dashboard for clients, or a form submission portal that touches multiple tables.Interfaces help a bit, but they don’t quite support login, user-based permissions, or multi-table forms. We ended up building a role-aware portal layer that connects to Airtable and lets users view, edit, or create records based on their role — it’s now ClientlyBase, but it started as a personal workaround. Just curious if others here are building similar “mini apps” on Airtable. What tools are you using — Interfaces, Softr, Glide, or something else?
TL;DR version: Airtable’s recently added capability to limit linked-record selection to a specific view allows users to incorporate, to a degree, conditional logic. The specifics: ‘Conditional logic’ can mean a lot of things: Any use of an IF() or SWITCH() statement is a form of conditional logic. Here, I’m using it in what’s become an increasingly common manner: to mean the limiting of available options based on an earlier choice. For example, take a look at the following diagram. The user selects one of five categories. Based on that selection, he or she is allowed to choose from a subset of five subcategories, taken from an overall population of 25 subcategories. This conditional restriction of choices not only helps reduce a potentially unwieldy array of options to a smaller, more manageable group, it also helps ensure the subcategory chosen is appropriate given the category already selected. Admittedly, a 25-element list may not present an insurmountable challenge to the user — e
Hey everyone! We recently shipped two features for BaseQL that I’m really excited about.For those that don’t know, BaseQL provides a GraphQL API for Airtable that makes it easier to build custom apps with your Airtable data.These new features came directly from user feedback about workflow pain points.TL;DR: You can now query Airtable views directly and have full control over filtering/sorting related records in a single API call.Querying Airtable ViewsBaseQL now supports querying specific Airtable views using the new _view argument. This feature leverages Airtable’s powerful ability to create custom views with specific sorting, filtering, and grouping configurations.Why this mattersMany BaseQL users were manually implementing sorting through rank columns or creating complex filter combinations to match what they had already configured in Airtable views. Now, you can simply:Configure your data organization visually in Airtable using drag-and-drop Query that exact configuration with a s
Just returned from Asia's largest Apple ecosystem expo where we showcased AirKit for Airtable. What an amazing experience connecting with so many passionate Airtable users across Asia! The energy was incredible as visitors from China, Korea and beyond stopped by our booth. We were genuinely surprised by how many people are using Airtable for everything from personal projects to enterprise solutions. Many users shared their frustrations with the slowness and navigation complexity. It was validating to demonstrate how our AirKit app solves these exact pain points by enabling quick record additions and table access through Siri commands and Spotlight search. The conversations were enlightening - we learned so much about how people are using Airtable in different contexts and cultures. Several visitors even showed us their unique Airtable setups! I've created this vlog to share highlights from our experience. If you're an Airtable user struggling with the mobile experience, check out our

Using chatGPT in an Airtable automation. In my use case, the automation triggers on when an Airtable record matches conditions,then follows with 2 actions, run script and update record. Adjust the first part of the promptwith your own use case. Tip: Use chatGPT to help you write a prompt for chatGPT (!) let inputConfig = input.config(); text = `${inputConfig.text}`; var key = "openai-api-key"; var url = "https://api.openai.com/v1/completions"; prompt = "Reword this text to grade 9 reading level: " + text; var gpt = { model : "text-davinci-003", prompt : prompt, temperature : 0, max_tokens : 1024 }; response = await fetch(url, { method: 'POST', body: JSON.stringify(gpt), headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json', 'Authorization': 'Bearer ' + key, } }); answer= await response.json(); data=answer.choices[0].text; output.set('your-airtable-field',data);
