Apologize for this possibly simplistic question, but here goes:I want to create a field that is a Category, that based on the category value selected, will ONLY display a list of relevant Sub Category values for the selected category. EXAMPLE (Simplified)1. I have a field that is Product Category - it has two values: Mobile, Home.2. If you pick Home for Product Category, for the Product Sub Category, I would want to display the Home Sub Category values. (Wireless, Wireline, Other services)3. To take it one step further, I would also like the Product Sub Category could have Product Sub Category 2, that would show ONLY relevant values based on the Product Sub Category. (eg. Home > Wireline > 5G Router, 4G Router, Extender, etc.)Is there a way to set up a table to have this hierarchical relationship. Do I need to refer one table to another, etc.? How do I do this in Airtable? I would prefer to have the values exist in a table and not buried in a formula for vis

Hello,I'd like to ask for help in troubleshooting an automation. I built an automation that works correctly when I "Generate a Preview". BUT, when I go to actually use it, the automation does NOT work. I.e., it does not update my live/active Base in the same way that it updated the Test Record. Actually, it appears to have done *nothing* to my Live Base, lol. Is this a common issue???Specific Context for my Automation:Table 1 is "Applications" where Client Application Forms are received. Table 2 is "Sessions" which lists all of the available time slots for Applicants to sign up for.Table 3 is "SignUps" where SignUp Forms are received indicating a specific Application # is signing up for a specific Session. When someone completes a "SignUp" form it automatically includes the Session they're choosing as well as their Application # (through a Prefilled URL). I am attempting to create a SignUp Page in Airtable. My current iteration is live at this link. The form does meet the basic requirements I have, BUT the design/UI is lacking, especially the "Select Your Session" drop down.Is there a way I can change the "Select Your Session" into a Grid View, List View Interface, or even a Radio Button List within this form? Context: I'm trying to accomplish the SignUp process on an Airtable form because in addition to giving people a list of time slots to choose from, it enables me to prefill the guest's application number on the form (and hide it from the guest). This means the guest's application will be automatically linked to their session when they submit the SignUp form.I don't know of any other way to accomplish this because, for example, an interface doesn't allow me to prefill the guest's application #. Using the NOW() function in a formula no longer updates the time reliably, even after refreshing the base. It only returns the original time that the formula was created, but then it doesn’t update reliably beyond that. I’m specifically referring to a formula that just has this as its formula: NOW() I’ve noticed that within the last few days, this brand new disclaimer was added to the formula reference page for both the NOW() function and the TODAY() function: ***The results of this functions changes only when the formula is recalculated or a base is loaded. They are not updated continuously. Forget that this sentence has several grammatical errors in it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The real problem is that the described behavior is incorrect. (And the behavior has changed on us.) I created this formula: NOW(), and it starts off with the current time. Hello community, I have an automation that informs the user by e-mail if the deadline of a task is before the start date. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is not possible to set a dynamic validation for fields that would prevent this.However, if the user wants to move the timeline for the task, he usually changes the start date first and then the due date. this triggers the automation. Does anyone have an idea how to prevent this? best regardsMirko
I am using Airtable to create an advanced social media calendar. It is used to manage 150 social media accounts - each account corresponds to a specific university.A student submits a form with pictures and a caption that they would like to have posted on their schools account. When the form is submitted, a record is created in Airtable. All records for all schools go into the same Table and are tagged with the school on which the content should be posted via a linked record. There is a second table that has the list of all of the schools.I would like to create a function or automation that assigns each record with a date and time to be posted. Each school instagram account can only post 5 records per day - for example one at 10am, one at 12pm, one at 2pm, one at 4pm, and one at 6pm. The function should be able to assign each record with the next available posting slot for that school. The posting times should also be determined per school, via the list of the schools in a separate tab

Hi All! For the Gantt Chart view, does anyone know if there's a way to have airtable automatically adjust all dependent task start dates when the predecessor task is moved up (backward in time)? I see that airtable automatically pushes out all dependent tasks automatically if a predecessor task is delayed (this is great!) but if a task duration is shortened or end date is moved back, all of the dependent tasks stay exactly where they are. Is there a setting or bit of automation I can add to enable automatic date adjustments in both directions? This seems like a very basic feature for Gantt charts and doesn't quite make sense to have it only for updates in one direction but not the other! Jack
Hi, Does anyone have a working integration, where stock prices are automatically (eg timebased refresh) fetched into an airtable sheet, depending on eg ISIN, etc. I just found quite old posts and only one newer video (How to Track Stocks in Airtable - YouTube), but the script link in the video is outdated… So any help with providing a script, etc. would be highly appreciated. thanks a lot, Chris

I have 2 tables (Table 1 and Table 2) in a base (Base B). I have created 2 automations, the second one is not working.The records are created in Base A - Table 0 and synced to Base B - Table 1, so Table 1 is a synced table. The first automation works: When a record enters Table 1 (view X), a record is created in Table 2. The second automation doesn't work: when a record is updated in Table 1 (view X, all fields), update the record in Table 2The error is: The record does not exist. I wonder whether the problem is the fact that its a synced record. The record IDs in Tables 1 and 2 are exactly the same, but Table 0 shows a different one.Would anyone know how to fixt it? I have a formula field containing NOW() and nothing else. The field is showing the wrong time. Right now it's 3:02 a.m. in the desired time zone (Eastern Daylight Time), but the field shows 2:59 a.m. I've attached a screenshot showing the difference between the displayed time and my computer clock.Weirdly, when I first set it up but hadn't yet changed the time zone from GMT, it was 2:59 a.m. but the field showed 6:03 a.m.Is this a known bug? I need this field to calculate the difference between when an item is due and the current time (that is, how many days/hours until it's due), and the time does need to be accurate to the minute.
I highly suggest adding Multi-Trigger capabilities to Automations. This would enable users to require multiple Trigger rules to take place in order for an action to run. To optimize this functionality, users should have the option to run their automations in three ways: Only if ALL trigger rules are true If ANY trigger rules are true If custom formula is true (i.e.: IF TriggerA and Trigger B are true, OR IF Trigger A is true and Trigger B is false…)
We are currently using Airtable with WATI. We aim to streamline data collection, particularly about crop information and pricing. However, we are facing a specific challenge that we hope the community can help us address.We are creating an Airtable form where our team members can input data such as the type of crop and its corresponding price.Scenario: Imagine filling out the form, and they want to add information for more crops than the initial form offers fields for. I'm trying to score based on a percentage another field is calculating.If Profitability is greater than 0%, score 2.If Profitability is between -5% and 0%, score 1.If Profitability is less than -5%, score 0.I can get it to work for greater than 0% and for less than -5% but it won't score the percentages less than -5%. I've tried at least 4 variations on this and can't get it right. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I am using softr as my front end for airtable. I have about 200 users on softr, and I want each user to be able to see their overall "performance" metrics for themselves only on softr. I don't like the data visualization tools on softr as much as airtable. Is there a way to specialize the airtable embed interfaces so it filters the data to only be the email of the person logged in on softr?
Revenue = Quantity * Price7496.90 = 150 * 49.98Why is the number rounding up to 7497.00????Another Example: $205.80 = 25 * $8.23The value I get in my Revenue Cell is rounded down to $205.75.Here is the revenue formula vs. what it should be. The numbers are rounding weirdly.
We are a publishing company and we publish individual pieces of content on multiple dates. I have a different sheet that I'd like to have all of those dates be put together into 1 cell (see attached). Is there a way to do that so that if I fill in a date in the "Publish Date 1", "Publish Date 2", etc. cells, that it will automatically add them into the column on the far right that is referencing another sheet? I did it manually in the attached screenshot just to show what I would like to happen. Thanks in advance!
