Hello AirTable Community!Hoping someone can help me with a solution here.  I have a conditional form that depending on the department you choose, you get different prompts - most of this works great.  Here's the problem:I have a Lookup field that provides instructions by the department that I would like to appear once someone selects the specific department.  i.e.: Person selects Finance request time - they get a block of text that talks about what finance needs and SLAs.I have tried doing this via a Lookup Field (apparently, you cannot use those in forms), and then I tried a really long formula, but I cannot use formulas in forms either.Looking for a native solution, not a 3rd party plug in because we would not be able to clear that with our IT team.

I was trying to make a form that was sort of an order form and my formula field with the total cost of the items wasn’t on my form. I had no way to add it. I tried on a form for another table that was similar and it didn’t work there either. Is this not currently supported?

Is there a way to use HTML tags in a Form? Also can a form be configured so it is viewable in full screen. I’m planning on creating a form that contains LOTS of verbiage and several input boxes. The data from the input boxes is emailed/saved when the form is submitted but the verbiage does not get saved.

Hi All,somehow one of my forms, accessed through a QR is asking for an email address to access it.all the other ones aren't, but this is. It has been working ok for at least a year.has someone changed the settings, if so how do I fix? thanks 

I have a basic CRM with 2 tables: 1) "Contacts" (persons) and 2) "Firms". Each Firm can be associated with one or multiple Contacts (linked records).In the Firms table, I have a "Firm Type" column that is multi-select from a predefined list of values. This predefined list can never be exhaustive enough to capture all types of firms. In the table view, luckily I am able to type new values and Airtable saves it as a predefined value for later use.I am creating a "Record view" interface for Firms. I want to allow users to create new firms on the interface.  When I allow users to do so, airtable's standard form loads up. Unlike the interface, the form is not allowing users to "add new options" to the "Firm Type". However, if users wanted to edit an existing record in the interface, I see an option to "allow users to add new options". How I can access this option in the form? 

I am trying to add a new option to a certain column. I use my airtable as a form to collect applications from users, but I need to update the “Session” of what they are applying for. I can’t see to add a new session that would indicate that they are applying for the next era. The only possible data that can go in this column are “Session 1” and Session 2," while I want there to be “Session 3.” The “Customizing the field type” (can’t post links here) guide might help me, but it shows menu functionality that I don’t see to have. Any ideas?

Hello Everyone,I was wondering if you can help me with something I have been working on. I currently have 3 tables in one base. One table has different names of clients (Table 1). The other table has the names of projects they are attached to with a record ID through a formula (Table 2). In Table 1, I have a linked record column to link each client to a project and there is a lookup column as well that shows the record ID of the project. Finally the 3rd table is used to store data from a form. In the form, I want to be able to have a linked record (select a client from Table 1), but I want to filter the options in the form under the linked record, so when filling out the form for one project, only clients linked to the project will show up as an option, so this could be a filter by the recordID of the project if that makes sense. Views will not work for my use because Airtable does not have a way to dynamically filter the view by different record ID's without creating a new f

I have a base with a field "Company" that is a linked record.Ultimately, I want to pre-fill my form with all values inc Company.First, how can one pre-fill a Linked record field? Seems like it isn't possible.Second, even if it is possible, how can I allow the creation of a new such Linked record from the form?

Hi, I have a field that references the customer table. When I work in grid mode, it gives me the opportunity to add a new record in this field, however if I create a form and enter this field does not give me the option to add records.How can I enable this option to add records in a link to another record field in a form?Many thanks for your help 

Is there a way to have the Google Doc automation create documents from a pre-existing template? I want to set up the new automation to generate letters, however, I need them to have a specific header and footer. If there was a functionality to select a template that would be great. But if anyone knows of a way to generate that on Google’s App Script end that would be super helpful!

Would it be possible to add the “updated time” to the API response for each row returned? This is quite necessary specially when building synchronization applications. By knowing the last time a row was updated, we can either trigger a call to synchronize it or skip it completely. This would decrease the load on Airtable’s side by a lot. Currently developers are forced to just update every single record on Airtable every x hours because there is no way to know whether a record was updated or not. I can force updates on specific records by adding my own timestamp every time I synchronize but that still requires a manual process. Thanks

I would like to send a single record to an external email address. In that single record there is a field where you can attach a document. However, when I send the single record to the external email, the user cannot open the attached pdf because it is in a weird format. Also, when you view it in email it is super blurry and bad quality. The only option I have is to upload that attachment from gmail to my drive and see it as a png (meaning, if the PDF has multiple pages you can only see the first one). The goal is for the external email user to be able to download the PDF I attached to the airtable record.Thoughts? I've got a weird issue I can't find a solution for: using a list view for linked records in interface designer. I have a record list to choose from Table A, with a linked record to table B. I can display that linked record field to show a list of items from Table B, that works great! But if I try to use that list view as a two level view to group those items, it gives me the error:"Unable to use non-table source in this context" and shows nothing. I think this is saying that the interface essentially doesn't have the data I'm trying to use, but I have no way to resolve it sadly, and changing which levels are used doesn't make any difference

hi we run printshop business and use airtable for collecting orders. we would like to allow client to build their own designs and create mockups for tshirt. I wonder if anyone has an Idea for some third party tool that can be integrated with airtable.

Hey everybody,I am trying to match 2 columns to see if a name from column 2 appears in column 1 (list of names). The answer I need is simply true or false.Column 1 is a lookup field with a name.Example: “Smith, Jack”.And column 2 is a list of names. Example:“Green, Mike”, “Smith, Jack”.But neither with Find nor Search do I get a match. My formulas are:Column 1:Column 2:Formula:FIND({Mitarbeiter (from Urlaub bestätigt 3)},{Kolonnen Zusammensetzung}) Maybe you have an idea, whats wrong here. Best greetings

I've got an Interface that an employee 'Sam' has Editor access to.I have creator access.When  I @ mention Sam, he doesn't get a notification and I receive a message saying "Some users weren't notified because they don't have access to this task."The record being commented on is in a table with add/delete permissions set to 'Editors and above'.Is this a bug?

I am trying to automate a repetitive task to save time for my team, and I'm stuck.Here is what I need this process to look like:Student completes post-course survey (via Airtable form)Data from form populates in Airtable baseData in base is used to create a PDF certificate using Page Designer (native Airtable extension)Automation emails PDF to student to email provided in form.i have figured out how to do everyting above EXCEPT the last step, and I just don't know how to program an automation to send an email with an attachment from page designer based on a record.Please note that I am using an enterprise version of Airtable and ALL third party extensions are disabled. Hello,I've created an app to record deliveries when they arrive at construction sites. The app is designed to handle multiple projects, and the person in charge can use the search bar to find the relevant delivery.The app is based on a two-level hierarchy:Delivery information (visible in the main list).Detailed product list (accessible when clicking on a specific delivery).The project name is always included in the delivery title, and users typically search for deliveries using this title.The search functionality works perfectly on all devices except Android.If anyone can help resolve this bug, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you!

I have a form using Fillout that accepts submissions of repair service requests. The results populate a dedicated table and I use an automation to distribute the response data among multiple other tables, such as People and Repairs.When someone submits a request, part of the automation looks to see if the same first name–email address pair exists on a record in the People table. If so, it creates a Repair record and attaches the existing Person record as requestor. Otherwise, it creates a new Person record, then a Repair record, and attaches the new Person record as the requestor.Currently, first part of this is not working at all. It fails tests, logging "Could not find matching rows for string." How can I troubleshoot this?Additionally, when the automation does work, it correctly fills the new Repair record with the existing Person but also removes this Person association from any prior Repairs connected to them. I can't figure out why it does this.How

Hello, I am stuck on something that seems simple, and I've tried navigating the answer here, but still can't get my formula to work.I have two fields I'm working with, a check-in field, which is a dd/mm/yyyy field, and a check-out which is also a dd/mm/yyyy field.  I don't always use both fields, though - sometimes one is blank, and sometimes both are blank.I'm trying to calculate the # of nights between the two dates, and the formula is working fine, but returns "NaN" when there is no date.  How can I correct the formula to simply leave that field empty if there are no dates? Also, it seems to be wanting to calculate a sum, which I don't want it to do.  Not sure why the Sum and Infinity symbols? Here is my formula: DATETIME_DIFF({Check-out}, {Check-in}, "days")Thank you!

Hi Airtable Community, I have the following problem:I have a Projects table with columns Assigned Budget 25, Assigned Budget 26 etc.I also have a table “Orders” which is linked to the project table. This means that several purchase orders can be assigned to one project. Each purchase order is also linked to table 3 Financial budget.So there are projects that can have several financial budgets. Each project can have different purchase orders which can also run on different financial budgets.However, the projects are not directly linked to the financial budget.Projects to Orders (1 to n)Orders to financial budgets (1 to 1)Now I would like to have the sum of all assigned budgets for each calendar year in the Financial budgets table. So I need to somehow get the values from the Projects table into the Assigned Budget table.Any ideas?Thanks & bestMirko 

Have a nice day,I would like to ask for advice - I have created an interface in which I have created buttons - in the web version everything works correctly. But when I display it in the mobile app, the buttons do not appear there. In addition, the search button is displayed there, although again I don't have it enabled in the web version.Can anyone advise? Or is this an airtable bug?Thanks a lot!

I'm creating an airtable base to store member information of a makerspace. We store basic info like name, address, email and phone number. We also take their state id and record the number, in the event they do something bad like steal from our makerspace or other types of bad behavior. Note, we've never had to use this information, but oftentimes knowing that we have it is a good deterrent (I'm not going to argue that point here).My concern is that some might worry about PII on this database and the risk of identity theft. I know airtable uses encryption going back and forth (according to my googles), but how safe is that really?  I will need to defend us doing this as some of my board members are super sensitive to any risk. Also, I suppose it might be able to be encrypted on the table, if we have a way to unjumble it later.  And.... I realize that the other stuff, name, address etc is also PII, but apparently the ID is what is freaking some of the people out.

I have created some automation emails that include a link back to view an interface record, where someone can edit and update it, I have the email set up using the "page record URL" under the "Insert a link" dropdown in the Message box of the automation email.It was all working fine up until the beginning of this year, now when you click the link in the email, it brings me to the interface, but not to the exact record. Furthermore it brings me to the interface and all the information is greyed out, if I physically go into the interface and find the record from there it works fine. But I need it to link directly to the record, which it was doing earlier, and I didn't change anything and it stopped working, for all my bases and interfaces. I've tried on multiple devices and I get the same issue. Wonder if anyone else is having this issue.
