I’m looking for a better way to save and share images through Airtable. We use ShareX to capture and comment images which we typically share in Slack: hit ctl-printscreen to grab an image, paste into a conversation and hit send. We’d like to use Airtable to document more of those tasks but it’s a hassle to get images into Airtable: browse to the ShareX document folder, find the file, upload, wait… ShareX can automatically upload to Imgur and put a URL on the clipboard instead of an image. It would be super-great if Airtable could show those URL images, page previews, poster frames etc. It would also be super-great if we could just paste images into the attachment field.

Hi, new Airtable’r, I searched around but couldn’t find answer to this! I’m surveying my customers about their opinions on products we’re considering developing. I have a base that contains a table with details about all the potential products, including a field I made customer ratings. I’d like to create a from that displays every product in the table, showing its image and description, and a place to collect their rating for that product. I’d like to be able to use that form to see customer’s average ratings of them. Is this possible? Thanks!

I have a [Anniversary] field and a field that calculates the next anniversary, so I get reminders and write a card for my volunteers. Here is my problem:The basic formula works fine when there is an anniversary in the field. When there isn't one, I get the #ERROR, which one would expect. I tried ISERROR(...) and IF(ISERROR...) to get it to show blank, but I can't get it to work. All the fields go blank, even if there is a date.Here is the working formula in the AV_Next field:DATETIME_PARSE(DAY(Anniversary) & "-" & MONTH(Anniversary) & "-" &(YEAR(TODAY()) + IF(DATETIME_FORMAT(Anniversary, "MMDD") > DATETIME_FORMAT(TODAY(), "MMDD"),0, 1)),"D-M-YYYY"

I am setting up a KPI tracking sheet for our business but I'm stuck on how to create the layout for data input. Situation: I have KPI's I want to track on a yearly /quarterly / monthly / weekly base --> so each KPI has need of different columns for data input (months / weeks / ...), how can I make a clear overview? Or should i make different tabs depending on the date range for input?Also some KPI's are numbers, some are percentages,.. so i cannot make 1 column for data input. Should i make different columns fe 'KPI number' , 'KPI percentage' and then leave open some columns which are not relevant? I feel there are better options but I just recently started using Airtable so would love to hear from some more experienced users 🙂

When I try to use the form submitted automation trigger, none of my forms appear in the dropdown selector. It's very frustrating , because they are published and can enter data normally.What might be causing this?

We have a couple of columns populated with emails and names, the rest of the AirTable base will be empty (I've attached a screenshot). What we'd need is to trigger the workflow in Make based on specific time trigger automation and I just don't know how to tell the workflow to start as the specific trigger time automation in AirTable doesn't allow me to use the recordID field. Would you be able to direct me to a solution if there's any or tell me how you'd accomplish that feat?

Hi Airtable Community, We’re planning to integrate Airtable with our cloud-based data warehouse. The end-user should be able to use Airtable to dynamically setup and schedule data transfer to and from our data warehouse. Data transfer should be seamless and should support 20,000+ rows. Is this technically feasible? Thank you.

I am new to scripting. I have two tables: Contacts, and Outreach that are linked via the "Full Name" field with a 1:n relationship. So each Contact (say, for example, "Jane Doe") can have multiple Outreach records. Each Outreach record represents an email or call to that person.I'd like to write a script that opens a "mailto:" link to the Contact's email address and then creates a record in Outreach with the current date/time stamp that is linked to that contact (in this case, "Jane Doe")How can I create a script to do this?

Since personal views cannot be restricted to 1 user, I'm looking for a workaround.I'd like our users to be able to create their own personal views based on a master table.I don't want them to see anyone else's personal views (which AT currently doesn't allow).I need to set up automations based on each user's personal views (so I don't believe we can use interfaces).The solution I came up with was a master DB 1-way automatically syncing with multiple bases, but the problem there is the sync feature is unreliable. AT claims it's an "instant sync" but it is not. Many of the child bases do not get updated data for minutes or longer. I've been trying to find a solution for almost a week but haven't had any success.

Hi,I've created a formula to calculate my patients' current age based on their date of birth (Lookup field). When I look at the record in grid view, it gives me an error message, but when I check the formula for accuracy, the calculation preview gives me the correct calculation. I'm not sure why there is an error in the record in grid view if the formula is accurate when I check and edit it. Hello dear community,I have already searched but found nothing. I want to use a value from one row (for example, row 1) in a formula in row 2. In row 2, the value from row 1 should be used minus the value from row 2 (same field). How does that work?Automation is not the right way, as the dataset is not newly created (trigger), but already exists. Specifically, it is about the following:I want to use the value "km" from the field "refueled at km" in row 1 and calculate it in row 2 in the field "kilometers driven". This value is calculated from the field "refueled at km" in row 1 minus "refueled at km" in row 2. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have an interface that generates data based on individual users' data. When I share this, the link looks like:https://airtable.com/(appID)/(interfaceID)I want to use URL filtering to display the data for a specific user in the Airtable based on their email. The user's email can be found in a list of users called "Students," the field for their email is called "Email." Below is an example of how I think this is supposed to work, but it displays no data as if it is not fetching the correct user.https://airtable.com/(appID)/(interfaceID )?filterByFormula={Email}="{user's email}"

Hi, I keep getting this new message in the automation script ide :Error: Request processing is disabled due to earlier failed requestIt seem like airtable does not want to rerty a fetch that previously failed even if the input parameters have changed. Anybody else is getting this?It's the first day that I saw this message and it's a bit combersome.

A number of other services that I've worked with (Tadabase, Knack, SmartSuite to name just three) have a field type called 'Address'. This streamlines the entry of addresses (by autocompleting) and at the same time validates the address. Is it possible to do this in Airtable? There's an extension in the extension "store" called LOB but I can't get it to work. And that's it. Is there a way to use a Zapier automation for example to do the validation at least, even if it's not possible to help with autoentry?This is a huge deal for my users, who spend a lot of time entering addresses — often making mistakes that cause problems down the road. 

Hi there,We are attempting to create some sort of conversion tracking tool for our leads. The fields in our data table that are relevant for this are: Account Type (Lead, Customer, Rejected), and Source.There doesn't appear to be a way we can easily create a table, like in Excel, where we can simply name columns and create formulas in each cell.Here's the table we're attempting to recreate: The issue we're running into is we can't create the majority of the columns seen in this screenshot. Any ideas to help?

Dear Airtable Community,im working on an automization to assign volunteers to specific working shifts according to their preferences. The volunteers can name socalled Besties to work with, so the code has to first assign matching volunteers into Bestie Groups and afterwards assign the whole group to a preferred shift. The code worked until I started "optimizing" the runtime of the code and creating a volunteerMap at the beginning of the code to have it set and not need to map it during the analyzation of the volunteers besties. Hi all, We use Airtable as our internal operating system but our customer-facing web-app is built using a Postgres DB. So, we’re trying to two-way sync our Airtable base with our Postgres DB. We’ve looked at other tools such as Retool or UI Bakery that allow for SSH tunneling but really don’t want to leave Airtable. We’ve also looked to connect Airtable to our db by way of Zapier but Zapier currently requires us to whitelable essentially all IP adddress for the Eastern US to enable the connection, which we’re not comfortable doing for obvious security reasons. Also, Zapier does not currently support SSH tunneling. We welcome any solutions or suggestions. Thanks, A.J.

Hi,  I'm having trouble understanding how to do what I want to do.I want to create a campaign. Not necessarily send emails from Airtable but structure and track the progress of a campaign.I'm trying to make a "Campaigns" table where each record is a campaign.One of the fields in the "campaign" record is "contacts" where I attach the contacts I want to exchange with.I want to track for each contact whether they've been contacted, by what means, whether they've replied, and notes on these interactions.It looks like a list display, but I can only create levels above each campaign record & not below (see the screenshot below).I'd like to have above the campaign record and below each contact with fields.I can do this architecture in the contact table but in this case the "campaign" is no longer a record in itself but only a field. Which is not desirable either.I suppose the solution should be obvious but I

Hello!I am trying to sync my airtable to a SQL Server Management Studio Database. Essentially, I want the database to update every time I make changes to the airtable. Is this possible via code? I have looked everywhere on the internet to find a 3rd party solution, but none seem to accommodate for MSSQL, and if they do, they are faulty. Has anyone solved this issue using Python code, so when the code is run, the database updates based on the airtable?

Is it possible to update a value in automations to update an entire table uniformly?For now I'm doing it in a script but it can run on 50 rows each time, so I made a loop but it takes over a minute each time
