I'm trying to pull data directly from linked record in an Automation by using the Find Records action with a Condition to match the Record ID which i added to the main record via Lookup field. BUT when I try to reference the Rec ID field it says "no valid nested options"?? I am using the gear icon to match and find the recordIs there some way to lookup a linked record and pull data into Automation directly, ie without adding fields manually to the main record?

I am trying to import XML file but keep getting invalid Xpath (I copy it from XML reader or I modify it based on the requirements) or no results (I am sure that file has 200+ opportunities). I mistakenly clicked 'unsubscribe', and now I can't receive any emails from Airtable Automation (noreply+automations@airtableemail.com). Since my email provider is not a common one like Outlook or Gmail, I don't have the option to add 'Safe senders' or 'domains'. Is there any solution to my problem? Thanks a lot!

We have an Airtable business account – it's our slow season so we're trying to save some money so I'm working on changing up our base design to be more forms-based.One thing I'm curious about though – say I make an interface with a button that triggers an automatic, then I have a user with read-only access and an unpaid account.  I assume that they would not be able to push that button to run the automation, is that accurate?

Hi, I have a Contest Definition Table  that is capturing specific dates related to a contest.  I have start and stop dates for about 5-7 different stages of a contest, so Nominations Open, Nominations Close, Voting Opens, Voting Closes, etc. I have a record template set to create a set of tasks in a separate Tasks table for each contest based on those dates. The tasks are linked to the Contest Definition Table, All of that works just fine.  Each task has it's own Start and End date. There are actuals tasks for Open Nominations, and Open voting which is set based on dates designated in the Contest Definition Table. What I am having a hard time figuring out is how to update theTask dates when dates change in the Contest Definition Table. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Everyone,I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with a user in my Airtable workspace. I’ve set their seat to Viewer, but I’ve noticed that it occasionally changes to Editor without my intervention. This forces me to periodically check and reset their seat to avoid being charged for an additional Editor seat.This month, I missed checking for a couple of weeks and ended up with a $400 charge due to the seat change. Airtable’s customer support has been great about refunds, but I’d like to find a solution to prevent this from happening altogether.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any known fixes or preventative measures I can take to ensure the seat stays set as Viewer?Thanks for your help!

Please solve for me. If I wanted to control which bases a collaborator (individual) has access to and added the individual to each specific base, am I only charged once, since same user?Example, there are 5 bases in ABC workspace, and Bob needs only access to 3 of them. He’s added to all 3. Since same user/email address, is the charge only for one collaborator?

Hello,I am trying to figure out how to create a form to add attachment to an exciting record.I have a form that updates  any field including attachment in exciting record but problem is it doesn't keep attachments that was there prior.My main idea is to share a form with anyone online so that anyone could only upload files to an existing specified record and not be able deleting files that were uploaded by others.  Thank you.

We are setting up a form that will be filled out by campus staff at many different colleges/universities, so there is no one @ domain. We want to ensure that no one submits a non-campus email address, however, so we want to make sure that regardless of the rest of the domain, it ends in .edu. Is there a way to do that ? They won't be logging in or anything, I just need the form to reject anything that ends in .com, etc.

Hello I have a form which accepts email from user. If the entered email is not in master list of emails, then form should highlight this to user and should not proceed with submitting form. Please suggest if there are any direct / workarounds Thanks

Hey everyone! I’ve set up an automation in Zapier that sends signed agreements from our service to Airtable. I’ve gotten everything to work as I want it to, but not all of the PDF:s are attached in airtable. I can’t really see a pattern to why the documents wouldn’t show up. From what I can see in the version history of the rows that aren’t, the PDF has been there but then instantly removed. It seems the problem lies with Airtable as the document shows up, but I can’t figure it out. Here’s what it looks like in version history: Any ideas on why the document gets deleted?

I have a somewhat unique scenario I need help with.  We are using Airtable as management software for a load securement operation we run. We secure loads for a customer at their location. The customer themselves has an older system they use and they don't allow us to directly integrate with their system to get the load information we need. So what we have is a Selenium process that will go to their site every 15 minutes , so we have as close to real-time updates as possible and pull a certain amount of days in the past and future and then export the load information to a CSV file. This then gets dropped on a server where we feed the information from the CSV file to airtable over API to a table. That information then goes from that table to another final one. We did this because, at certain times, users need to manually put a load into Airtable and because of the way we have to get the information into the system, we can't have the setting that would have Airtable delete the rec

Is there a way to see which link was used to create a specific record? We use AirTable forms for surveys and have lots of different survey links. I’m looking for a way to see the specific form link that was used to submit that specific survey. Is this possible with a formula?

HI,  I run a real estate agency and woud love an easy way to create a PDF from images in an attachment field.Basically the way we do inventory is by images and it takes agents too long to drag and drop images into a doc file. Woudl be great if they can upload all images to an attachment field and then the PDF is created with the all the images.  Whats the best way to do this? Preferably free or very cheap. We usually need about 60-100 inventory documents per month. Thank you in advance!

Hi all! So, here’s the use case that spurred some thinking… I have a HUGE, monster of a base that is a bit out of control. It contains many intricate rollups that drive some housekeeping/reporting processes. Now that Airtable Sync is available, I’m working on moving those high-overhead processes out to their own bases in the hopes of speeding up the “master” base. One of those processes is a nightly report. The report is driven off of a view in the master base. I synced this view over to a new base, and set up a duplicate of the report. To test it, I’ve been letting it run the past few nights to compare the new version to the current version… and surprise surprise, they are not the same. Current Report: Runs from source/master base, triggered by a zap that runs on a schedule - every night at 8PM a record is added to a table called [Automation Launcher]. Usability problem when linking to a record from the from the ‘one’ end of a many to one relationship.We visit homes to help people reduce carbon footprint and save money by taking energy efficiency measures.On every visit we recommend or take one or more actions, each of which has a specific ‘deliverable’  that holds standard values for savings etc.The entity relationship is:Visit to action = 1 to manyDeliverable to action =  many to 1We have many different deliverables, over 200. When adding a new action, which is usually done using a form that is prefilled with the correct Visit, the Deliverable field presents a long list that is in seemingly random order. I cannot find a way to sort or group the selection of links. I can't glean from the docs and other info how my setup would be billed or if it is achievable so am looking for some guidance. - I manage a database with data relevant to different clients of mine.- I want to share that data with the different customers I have via an interface for a nice user experience. Each client gets a login, and can see the data/projects relevant to them- Those clients then have customers who need to have access to the specific projects relevant to them. Those clients will need logins also in order to access their specific projects - The only action both my clients and my client's clients need to take is updating the status of a row of data (think a list/queue of items to review and approve)I have attached a crude diagram explaining it. Is this setup achievable? Hey. I have a gantt chart that shows when multiple items are hired and dates associated to them. Each record is one item and has fields for 'delivered', 'setup for use', 'deadline to be ready', and then 'collected'. This means each record is one item but has 4 dates / time periods attached to it. I dont want to split this into multiple records with steps for each date, as the overall specification of the hired items is dependent on one record per item (this is shared with the supplier as a list to cost up)However when I pull this into the gantt chart so I can get a full schedule, i can only use of the date two fields (start and end date) so I am not getting what I need from it. Does anyone know a workaround for this?
