Hello,Using a last modified field type named "Closed" and a lookup field showing the last one called "Meter Type" and "Repeat Interval" I am trying to calculate and output the appropriate date when closed is 7/17/2024 16:41, meter type is Calendar Month, and repeat interval is 12, the formula should produce 07/31/2025. However I am repeatedly running into issues with this where 6/30/2025 or 7/1/2025 is all I can produce. Here is the formula I am currently using:  IF( {Meter Type} = "Calendar Month", IF( {Due Date}, DATEADD( DATEADD({Due Date}, {Repeat Interval}, 'months'), -DAY(DATEADD({Due Date}, {Repeat Interval}, 'months')) + 1, 'days' ), DATEADD( DATEADD({Closed}, {Repeat Interval}, 'months'), -DAY(DATEADD({Closed}, {Repeat Interval}, 'months')) + 1, 'days' ) ), BLANK() ) How

Very green user here. I have Airtable Free, and I have four tables in my base: Work Entries, Clients, Projects, and Invoices. I built my base by modifying the one presented here https://blog.airtable.com/supercharge-your-client-management-with-automatic-invoice-creation/#base Ultimately I want to be able to print an invoice file from a record of my choosing in the Invoices table, but for now the problem is...How do I create an Automation that will populate the new Invoice record I create with a form? I want to have Automation take just the Client I select and a date I select in the form, go to the Work Entries table and look for all records for that Client AFTER the last invoice date for that client (invoice dates are in the Invoices table), and then sum all the Billable Amounts (in $) from the Work Entries table, summing only those

Hello, I have a look up field which displays a value generated from a formula that lives on another base. I am trying to create a formula field that multiplies the value in the look up field by the percentage value in another field that is generated within the same base (i.e. is not a look up field).I have tried the following:"Look up field value field" * "percentage value field"and then:VALUE("Look up field value field") * "percentage value field"I have tested the percentage field with a simple calc and it works. When I try anything involving the look up field it returns error so it is definitely the look up field thats the issue I think Any hints appreciated 🙂 

Hi airtable Community, I want to prefill muliple fields in an airtable form. The first fields (Project name) is working well but the second does somehow not. Both are normal text fields..What did i do wrong? Thanks & BestMirko 

I'm trying to build an automation that, based on a set of input values specified by a user, will output a set of available dates to create timeblocks in a calendar. The user specifies what date to start with, how many weeks to create these blocks for, as well as start & end times for the day, break time & duration, and how long each timeblock can be for (including some follow-up time). There seems to be an issue with uploads for years, the bug is uploads / attachments are cancelled if you navigate to a different app or to a different screen/record. Is there anyway to get this fixed (ie. run uploads as a background process?). Running latest version of iOS / AirTable iOS app but the issue has been around for years.

I have two tables with matching fields. (week ending dates) I want new records created in Table A populate in the multiple select lookup field in table B if the weekending dates match. How do I do - I fear the AI has sent me on a whild script chase.

Hello everyone,I’m currently working on an Airtable project where I manage two tables: one for accounts and another for account status. I'm trying to set up an automation that allows the names of the accounts to be automatically transferred to the status table whenever a new account is added. Here are the steps I’ve taken so far:Created Two Tables: One for the accounts and one for the account status.Set Up Automation: I’ve created an automation that triggers when a new record is created in the first table.The goal: AUTOMATICALLY transfer the account names from the first table to the first column of the second table as soon as a new account is created.Unfortunately, the automation isn’t working as expected, and I’m only seeing a "B" in the status table instead of the correct account names or nothing happens at all. I'm unsure if it's due to the settings or if I've overlooked something.

Hi guys. Im quite new at automations and scripting. I have been trying to set a an automation that filters records under specific conditions and then opens an URL contained on a field of that record. I have learnt that this is not possible through Airtable, so im also working through Make to achieve it, but its not being easy for me either. But i have seen another  possible solution: Open it through a clickable link in markdown. So im trying to write a script in other to do so. Since I write a mix of horror and thriller, sometimes the themes overlap, and it’s tricky to create a clear tagging system to sort them efficiently. I have string fields and I want to extract the first two words (minus any punctuation or special symbols). Ideally, they would remove the white space and capitalize each word as well.So a field with “Midnight: A Tale” = “MidnightA”. ”What’s New in Books” = “WhatsNew” I’ve looked all over to find a way to get two words, but can only find out how to get one. I got into RegEx a bit, but couldn’t figure out how to account for the punctuation/symbols. If someone has a slick way to extract the first two words of a string, I’d be eternally grateful!

Hello,Bottom Line Up Front: I would like to know, how can I use my table's Primary Key as a Single Select / Drop Down Menu option in an Airtable Forms question. Backstory:I am creating a "Sign Up Form" in Airtable to allow Applicants to schedule themselves for my available appointments in the Appointments table. In order to link their Applicant Table (screenshot #1) record with their Appointment Table (screenshot #2) record, I'm planning to:1) List the Appointments (Primary Key from the Appointment Table) as a Drop Down Menu in the form so they can select 1 to schedule. 2) Have the Application # included on the Form, and prefilled through the unique form URL I give them, which will enter their Application # in that field on the form automatically. This will help link their Appointment with their Application.How can I do this???TIA!

I have a custom block running locally and wanted to share it with someone else on the team.  Based on the docs, it sounds like running `block release` would be the next step.  Doing so produces this output: Bundling... doneUploading... Hi FolksI am a newbie to AirTable, so apologies if my question seems very basic.My automation consists of an action script that calls an API for an external system, and if the API operation is successful, it sets the “Status” and “API_Response” fields in my AirTable to “continue next steps” and “Success” respectively.Then, a conditional logic block is meant to check if "Success=continue next steps" and "API_Response=Success" and if these conditions are a match, a Create Record and Update Record actions are to be executed.However, even when the API operation is successful, the conditional logic is not evaluating to true for some reason, when it should. As a result, the Create Record and Update Record actions are not being executed.I have attached a screenshot showing the automation.What am I doing wrong?NOTE -The code in the action script that updates the Status and API_Response columns is as follows:

Hi all, I’m building a CRM and have a field for ‘Contact Frequency’ set as ‘Single select’ with 7, 14, 30, 90 as options. I have a roll up field with ‘Most Recent Interaction’ which pulls from an ‘Interactions’ table. I would like to create a field to automatically mark as ‘Overdue’ anyone who’s ‘Contact Frequency’ has been exceeded. Some searching uncovered a formula which I have tried to adapt no doubt with a glaring error! I suspect that my ‘Contact Frequency’ options are perhaps not in the correct format or need a separate field to convert them into the correct format before a formula can use them? Hello Airtable Community,Is there capability within forms to capture ip addresses from those submitting the forms?  I would like to ensure that the form is being submitted by the persons intended and not forwarded or submitted twice.  How secure are the forms?

Hi Community, I’m wondering whether there is a need to add a Recaptcha to my forms that collect data from my website to my Airtable. I have form validation logic set up and the fields in the table accept a certain type of data only. Most of my forms use dropdowns except where a user is filling in their name etc. My frontend is built with Vue 3 and there is a package for recaptacha but then I will also need a backend to handle the secret key. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Sue

Did Airtable ever implement any type of Captcha with forms?

I have a base with a table that contains a large number of duplicates that need to be merged and their duplicates deleted. However, this table is synced to a large number of other tables and I don't have a direct line of sight on ALL of these tables. I'm concerned that when I merge and delete, this will break some portion of the linked records that exist in the tables that belong to other people. Do any of you know if the dedupe process can cause issues for others who are synced to the table where the dedupe occurs? 

Hi guys!I am running into the issue of in the List view page the top level table does not show the option to add a new record to that table/type. Example I have a schedule table and a task table. The tasks are under schedule, and schedule is the main source. Once I make a schedule it does give me the option to ake a new schedule record, only new tasks. Is this a bug? Or is there a way to fix this?  Thanks

Hello, I would like to know how I can create fields that would belong and update to two tables at once.Currently I can only have one field linked to another table. For example I want my Deal table to serve as input to a Contacts table and be able to input the Name, Last Name and Phone number into this Contacts table, from the Deal tableie : When I create a new Deal occurence, I can simultaneously create a new Contact occurence related to this deal without having to change tables)Thank you for your help

I have noticed that when creating an Interface, if you chose the "Record Review" template for your interface, you can opt to show the Record Revision History on the interface (screenshot of the setting attached).I have a use case where I need to display this information on a Interface that I created from scratch. Can this be done? If yes, how?
