Hey everyone – I’ve been an Airtable user for the past year and overall my experience has been enjoyable!This could totally be my own naiveté from being new to database creation, but I’ve been quite confused over what seems to be a lack of accessible resources for Airtable user-created bases + templates for active users to share with each other.The Universe page, which appears to have been initially meant for that, seems to be almost entirely abandoned and in comparison, other popular platforms have these open-ended community sections with thousands of user-created bases and templates (the majority being free downloads). Any related questions, comments, or if you are able to clarify would be greatly appreciated… thank you! *Additional info: my project’s primary goal is a database collection of beauty brands + cosmetics products. 

I have setup an automation so when someone emails a purchase request, it makes a record and notifies me in Airtable, however it doesn’t look like there is away to email an attachment and have it populate the attachment field. Is this possible?

Background: I have a feed that inserts data into an Airtable base using the API. Sometimes the feed inserts non-printing characters into one of the fields.Specifically, it inserts the UTF-8 Byte Order Mark (BOM), EF BB BF, in the middle of a string. The field it gets inserted into is a URL field.The BOM isn’t visible in Airtable, but when we try to use the link, we get 404 because of the %EF%BB%BF in the middle of the link.For example, the link as displayed in Airtable would be something like “https://community.airtable.com/topic/2341”, but what is actually stored is “https://community.airtable.com/topic/%EF%BB%BF2341” . Searching for %EF%BB%BF in Airtable using filters or automations gives no results.Question: How can I search for and remove the BOM from field values where it appears?

I’ve set up a base that tracks a specific team’s incoming trouble Tickets. The main Tickets table has a single-select field for Status, which can be ‘Submitted’, ‘Needs further details’, ‘Queued’, ‘In Progress’, or ‘Done’. I’m now working on reporting and management would like to know the full time it takes for ticket resolution, but also how long a ticket remains in each status before progressing.I can’t decide which of these approaches would be preferable: Have an automation create a new linked record in a Reporting table with a time stamp when a ticket is created, and then create an additional new linked record on the Reporting table for each subsequent Status update. Then I’d need to do a little more work to compile all of the records on the Reporting table that link to each Ticket (I’m assuming via a bunch of rollup fields). I’m hoping that stamp can also include the name of the Status that’s being recorded Have an automation create a new linked reco

All fields are operating as expected in the original base.  I have synced the table to another base and all fields operate successfully except for the date (rollup) field.  The date field is not syncing properly.  Below is how the rollup field is set-up in the original base.I have confirmed the date formatting in all bases are identical. Any ideas on why this might be happening? Hello, setting up airtable for the first time.  We are a nonprofit looking to track our funds that support our grants.Currently we are using multiple worksheets in excel.I am trying to figure out where to start. I have imported the Fund names and Contact information(Funds).  The next tabs we have are for our investment returns and fees which contains our fund name, contributions, admin fees, investment returns, disbursement amounts and ending balance. We have a worksheet for each year.The common link is the fund name in Funds.  Should I create a table for each year and link it to the funds table by the fund name?  What would be the best way to view the Funds table and see the budget information for each year.Hoping this makes sense, any helps is appreciated.   

Good afternoon,I am using Make.com to pull information from Airtable, generate a letter/timesheet, save this to One Drive then I need to import it back to Airtable as an attachment. The Make.com syntax is fine (and has been checked by the Make.com support team), and when I run it, there is a fleeting icon of a file appearing in the attachment field on Airtable, but then it disappears and the attachment is not in Airtable. If I run this through Cloud Convert to create a PDF, it works, but there is a 10 second delay in creating then uploading the document, which then means further iterations fail. What I need is for the document to pull in as a PDF directly from One Drive to the attachment field in Airtable. Any help gratefully received. It works fine when I use Google Drive, but I’m trying to avoid this as the company would like me to keep it all on the Microsoft subscription.Thank you, Jane

I'm glad you can share an individual page in an interface. It's a decent improvement but still not the best solution. Now, if you could public share a full interface or at least the overview page, it would be such a much needed game-changer.Being able to share the Overview page of an interface with a nice cover image would be so helpful when sharing with a client or customer. It looks professional, well organized and nicely structured. Perfect if you want to share only the information without providing full access.Notion (overrated IMO) allows this (sharing of a workspace) where you can organize it and make it look professional. Currently in Airtable, when I end up haveing to share multiple URLs for different pages, clients get very overwhelmed. Being able to publicly share an interface would be incredible.

Looking for a solution to display Airtable data in full RTL (Right-to-Left) layoutHi everyone,  I'm looking for a website or tool that can display Airtable data in a full RTL format — not just aligning the text to the right, but also reversing the column order, so the layout is fully suitable for RTL languages like Hebrew or Arabic.  Does anyone know of a platform or workaround that supports this kind of RTL presentation?  Thanks in advance!

Is there a supported way to update Script Extension code using an API? For example, have scripts stored in a GitHub repository, built using GitHub Actions, and then deployed to Airtable. I have a base and different tables. I am working on scenario in Make.com. the logic is watch records ( rsvp table), get a record from ( rsvp table), get a record from presentation Topic, search records( Summit speaker), update Summit Speakers, zoho email, search records( affiliate interest) and then update affiliate interest. When I use id it gives me 200 but no field updated it is clear but when I map data from watch records and get a record (rsvp) to update affiliate interest I get an error 422 it says can not fine such collum. But all collums are there, cache was cleaned, reconnecting was done, tried upsert module. Nothing helps I think problem somewhere in Airtable but where? Will be glad to hear any suggestions? I am using the new form builder and want to filter the values of a dropdown field, Product, based on the value of another field, Designer, on the same form.Although I found the "filter records by a condition" option, I cannot see a way to use the Designer field's value as the condition for the filter. Any help appreciated.

I have a form that someone may fill out multiple times using the same email address. I want to use that email address to update the original record created with the new information (if it is new). Can someone guide me through the automation to do this?

I’ve set up a marketing base and part of what I’m using it for is creating UTM parameters. There are a few fields that are inputted via form, like campaign name and start date. Each of those has a secondary field in the base where the data from the first is made lowercase, special characters and spaces are removed, etc. Then those reformatted fields are all concatenated together into one field called ‘Calculated UTMs’. As is standard with UTMs, several of those different sections are separated by underscores.I’ve set up an automated email to send these generated UTMs to someone on our GA team, and I’m pulling in the ‘Calculated UTMs’ field, but it’s displaying the final UTMs incorrectly - instead of showing with the underscores, it’s removing them and using them as indicators of where to make the text italicized. The field is also shown in an interface, and the underscores are correct there. I’ve tried using asterisks and backslashes around that field name in

Hi there. I have a table "business partners" with records of type "supplier" and "brand" which are linked between each other. a record of type "supplier" can be linked to multiple records of type "brand" but a brand can only be linked to one supplier. i always want the links to be two way. i.e. if i add the record "Gmail" to the table and link it to the existing record (of the same table) called "Google", i want airtable to automatically identify that there is a missing backlink (ie. record Gmail has "Google" in its "link" field, but record "Google" does not have anything in its link field) and link the record "Google" to "Gmail" automatically. i have an automation that can trigger based on view conditions correctly. i want the automation to trigger, then "find" the linked record (i.e. Google) by ID and then copy whatever existing links are in the "link" field and add "Gmail" to that. However automations refuses to find a record in a table based on the values of a "link"

Our goals are:Reduce the number of licenses to under 50 (e.g., a user like Stevie B. currently has two licenses).Convert some Editors to Viewers where appropriate.Remove access for users who no longer need it.Identify unknown users with access and resolve their status.We would also like to develop a governance process to prevent this from being a recurring issue.For now, our model involves each admin monitoring Editor licenses whenever adding a user and reaching out to teammates if any license changes are needed.We’d love to hear:How other tea

I have 3 tables: A, B and C that are linked A→ B → C.  All child records are one (parent) to many (child).  Is there a way to have A pull in unique C records?  I can pull in a list of C records into A by using a lookup field.  However, this pulls in duplicate C records.  If I use a rollup field in A with an Arrayunique formula, it converts all of the C records to text values.  

Probably only relevant to Airtable users operating out of India, but any helpful perspectives from others would be much appreciated.For the last few months, all of my payments towards Airtable invoices have failed due to new regulations by the Reserve Bank of India requiring compliance to a bunch of new rules that I'm guessing Airtable is having trouble with. Hello, I am importing a csv file from Azure Devops that contains html in one of the fields. I can’t remove from Devops. Is there a way to remove html after importing in Airtable? Thanks!

I'm finding the Duplicate Field function to be very handy in building a form with a lot of repetitive fields (long story short, it has to be built this way or prospective users won't buy in), but I wish I could duplicate an entire Group. The only actions I can take on a Group are to delete it, change the permissions, change the appearance, set rules for visibility.If only there was such an action as Group>Duplicate. Anyone know of a trick or extension? I can't find anything.Also, does this seem like a thing that form-builders want to do? I haven't seen anyone asking for it anywhere else.

Hello,I’m updating a form we use to provide training for our users and would like to create a more user-friendly design. Is there a way to customize Airtable forms so that users can choose between a “list view” and a “calendar view” when signing up? Below is a screenshot of our current forms list view.If that is possible, as a follow-up, is there a way to add a trigger question within the form that determines which view (list or calendar) is displayed based on the user’s selection?
