Hello everyone,I am experiencing a problem with my automation that connects a Google Sheets document to an Airtable master table, using the Airtable record ID as the primary key. Typically, this setup functions correctly around 70% of the time. However, occasionally, the automation fails, presenting an error message indicating that it has received "invalid inputs".Upon investigating these errors, I've noticed that the record ID associated with the failure is valid, as I'm able to manually copy it and locate the corresponding record in the Airtable master table. This leads me to believe that the issue may not be with the IDs themselves.I'm unsure about what might be causing these intermittent failures and would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions that could help me troubleshoot and resolve this issue.Thank you in advance for your help!

Our main People table is linked to a Work History table that shows the date and position of each shift worked. I want a field in the People table to show only the most recent date that a person worked. Lookup fields do that, of course, but return all of the shift records for each person. TIA!UPDATE: The date of the shift worked is stored as text.

All of the charts on my interfaces are suddenly showing a legend (despite the legend setting still being set to 'hidden')For the amount of categies in the data I have a legend does not work at all (my users now see an incomplete list of categories which is misleading and a smaller and harder to read chart).Has anyone else expereinced this?Help! 🙂  

FolksI have created a database with several peoples details. On it, I have also created a view which will take a filter text like this:https://airtable.com/VIEWLINK?filter_FIELD=FIRSTNAME%20LASTNAMEand then send it to the specific FIRSTNAME/LASTNAME person, who does not have any airtable account as a normal shareable link, so they can access their data.The problem I am facing with is that as the controls of the view are available, the view can be filtered with different values and people can see each others details.I see that on the EMBED version of the view, I have the option "viewControls", but it does not work if I use it on a normal share view.Is there a way to prevent a view to be re-filtered? I have 3 columes in my table formatted as such: A Linked record field + 2 look up fields from the linked record. (crossed out proprietary info) this linked record field shows all clients that been accepted by this playlist. The client may show up multiple times if they have been accepted by the playlist more than once or for different projects. This is fine. The problem then comes in the artist genre and genre/moods look up fields which reference multiselect fields from the a different table. The genre and moods fields will list multiselect values multiple times because of the multipile records that have been accepted by the playlist. I am trying to show unique values for these two look up columns, but cannot seem to figure out how.

We want our guests to ore-order menu choices by selecting one starter, main and desert from three choices in each category that have been picked from an extensive list of menu items.  I have a table with the menu items.  Another table has the meals with the date, venue and three offerings from the three categories.  Now, for each guest (all guests are in another table) I want to select a starter, main and desert from the three that are being offered by the venue.  From this information the venue will get a list of all guests and their menu choices and and each guest will receive  a confirmation of their selections.  So far I have the three choices in the meal table but can't figure out how to select one of each from the choices in each category for each guest.  I hope the attached diagram illustrates the issue.

Hey guys,I am trying to build a resource tracker for one of my departments based off their allotted hour for the week (or daily) and requested tasks that people input. We are hoping to be able to better schedule them by knowing how busy each person is on a given day. We're hoping to have a interface view that shows how busy each person is either each day or week in either a calendar or other view. Tables I'm working with:Request Tracker - where people from other departments can input requests and the department coordinator enters in the "Estimated Request Hours" (number field) for how long each request will take. There is also a "Request Due by" (date field) and a "Week Number Field". Personnel - has everyone in the department and their info including "Weekly Allotted Hours" and "Daily Allotted Hours" (number field) and is linked to the Request Tracker as "Assigned to". 

Hey guys,I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for moving elements around more smoothly? At the moment when I try to move record elements in grids they rearrange everything in ways I wasn't intending.For example: I have a section on my interface for Important Links that are pulled from different fields that I want to lay out in a particular way. And when moving them into positions from this : To attempting to get all the elements aligned it does this:Does anyone now of a way to maybe lock locations of elements or grid or something to just make moving things around smoother? 

I have an automation that won’t turn on despite working correctly the last few days. It’s set to create a record when a row is added to a google sheet. Both the trigger and action pass their test, yet the automation won’t turn on. What could I possibly be missing?

Hello all, I have created an AirTable base used for tracking insurance documentation for a construction company. I have set up a date column of when the insurance document in question expires. I was wondering if is possible to set up an automation to send an email to a user that this document is expiring? The issue I run into is that all of the dates are different. I see in the automations you can select "when a record matches conditions" then when selecting a condition when 'insert my expiration column in first field". The next step is where I hit the issue because there is no way to select "date that is listed in the column". Hope this makes sense and there is a different way around it I am just not seeing it. Appreciate anyone who can lend their expertise and I can provide more information if needed. Thank you!😊

In my data I have a column that is a button. This button opens the page designer ext. to the record it lives on.When I bring that button-field onto the interface, the button is grayed out and not clickable.  (See below. It should be a bright orange color and clickable.) Does anyone know why? Is there anything I can do?

Hello,I try to import and upset data from BigQuery to an airtable table.I use Skyvia or Make and the first import works fine....My problem is the Upsert case !When I run a new import, the record are duplicated and not updated.First, is there a method to compare the two base and write only the new record in airtable?Second, is there a method to compare the two base and update in airtable only the modified record from bigquery ? May be do i have to script that in an automation ?Thanks for your help !

Take the example below, imagine you have:Category.ProductsProduct.CategoryA product is linked to multiple categories. When you first create the 'Category' field on Product, this creates the other side on Category, lets call it "Products".  If you delete the column "Products" from the Category, is it possible to re-link them later on?Also, if you do not think one will ever need the "many" side of the relationship - does it slow AirTable down if you keep that many-side Field as well? Or it does not make a difference? 

I'm rounding up a field called "Total Hours" using ROUNDUP(). Total Hours is a field that adds 2 decimal numbers together. The decimals numbers have up to 3 decimal places.My understanding is that ROUNDUP({Total Hours}, 2) works like this: it will round up to 2 decimal places if any number after the 2nd decimal place is above 0.Example ROUNDUP(72.001, 2) = 72.01                ROUNDUP(72.000,2) = 72.00The screenshot below shows that this is not what is happening for me.It's rounding up 72.000 to 72.01. In the screenshot, the error fields are circled in red. The original total hours are in the right most field and the rounded hours are on the left field "(Total Hours Rounded ,2)"Any help is appreciated for this.

Hello,I want to create membership based table in airtable. I want to know if this is possible in Airtable. I want to master table. lets say tableMaster with 4 column. In master table, values in column 1 and 2 are fixed and can only be changed by the admin but values in column 3 and 4 can be changed by the admin and members. When a new member sign up, the airtable should create instance of tableMaster for this member. We will call it memberA-tableMaster. The member can then enter values for column 3 and 4 to see the view of this table based on his values. When another member join, new instance of tableMAster will be created and we will call it memberB-tablemaster. Is this something possible in Airtable using Softr or any other code platform.

I have 2 tables in my base . Table 1 have multiple records while table 2 only has single record . Table 2 has a field (lets say voucher)  with data type number. Whenever a new record is added in Table 1 ,I would like to Increment the value of a field (voucher ) with 1.

Hi!I'm creating PDFs with Google Docs and DocsAutomator. When I check the field "generate RMA" AirTable create PDF out of Google Doc and save this PDF to the desired attachent field. Of course the data is from AirTable. And this is easy.Then I came across one problem, which I think I handeled it okay. If I have two choices that I have to decide and check in a checkbox) I simply created formula field.So I had two choices "repair" or "servise modification". And I created checkbox field "repair" and "ervise modification". And then formula field for each of these field with IF() function. If the field if checked, it returns checked box, otherwise it returns empty checkbox. And then I connect these two (formula) fields to the PDF. And It worked.But then I came uppon bigger problem.. if I have many choices to check I don't want to create all these fields p

We need to assign staff to shifts. I have a calendar of shifts and can put two staff members on a shift. I want to have the staff confirm that they will do the shift, sort of like inviting them for an event on Google Calendars. I think Interface might be the place to do it. I was looking at using Button and having it change the staff person's name from "Sue?" to "Sue Yes" or something like that. However, with the Set option, I can't have the staff person change just their name but rather changes the whole field. I need to get permission from both assigned staff.Is there a way to make this work?Thanks.

Hi Airtable Dev team.You've royally screwed us freelancers with the latest update to the Interface! 🙎I understand that the idea is that there are now templates but first we had to toggle the permissions to expose the create button. Now! Fields that were mandatory are no longer and many other fields have suddenly appeared.We convince people to use Airtable and now sit with egg on our faces with questions like - "Why is this field no longer there?", "Why can I now see XYZ?", etc.Better QA!

Hi, I need an attendance tracker for a nonprofit organization that organizes different activities throughout the year. I first tried doing a form that our coordinators of each activity would use to report the activity, time, description/impact, and attendance. The attendance is linked to a table that compiles the beneficiaries of the different activities that are run by the Non-profit. We already have some beneficiaries or previous participants in this table and so some of the attendees are already in our records, but when we have new attendees, I would like to be able to generate a new record from a form. I am able to add a new record in the grid view, but not in the Form. I have already tried doing an interface and it still won't give me the option to add new records in both form or interface. I do have a plus plan (not the free version).Our objective is to be able to have a beneficiary registry or a complete list of beneficiaries to

Basically, I have a list of assignments. I need each assignment's due date, day number, and week number (along with other fields). I already calculated formulas so that when I update the day number, it automatically updates the other two "calendar" columns.  My problem is, sometimes I need to "insert" a new assignment before many that I've already done.  So, I need to push the rest of the day numbers/due dates up 1 day to match, but I'd like not to manually change every single day for the rest of the records (this could be hundreds of records to "push" forward).I've searched so many things.  I know it doesn't work like excel where I can do a per cell formula (the one above + 1), but I can't seem to find a way to do this.Also, FYI, there is more than one record with the same day number/due date because I have a record for each subject each day (sometimes more than one per subject). I'm attaching a screen shot in case that helps.
