Hoping someone here can give me a hand 🙂ContextI’m building an automation with n8n + Airtable to generate training plans and workouts.Airtable structureI have two tables: Training Plans Each record corresponds to one person (with their athletic info). This record is the input for generating workouts. Workouts This is where the sessions created by OpenAI through n8n are stored (workout type, description, etc.). It has a field “Link to another record” pointing to Training Plans, so each workout can be linked back to its plan. Desired relationship: One plan (1) → many workouts (N).

Hi! I work with an appraisal firm. Each appraiser has his own Airtable base to track jobs and expenses and commissions. When a record in their base is invoiced and a checkbox marked, a record of that job is created in my Payroll base so I know to pay them on the next payroll. I have it set so that if changes were made to the record in the Appraisers' base, Make.com would search the Payroll base. If the record already existed in the Payroll base, it would update the record. If it didn't already exist, the record would be created. It all of a sudden stopped working. It isn't recognizing that the record already exists in the Payroll base. I didn't make any changes to the scenario in Make or the bases in Airtable. I am a manufacturer, and use Airtable in several areas of my business. I have a pro account. I am looking for a way to automate documented employee safety reminders between safety meetings. Initially I planned to have a form with the reminder listed in the form description section. I was informed that some of our employees have learning disabilities, and will require assistance reading the information. Is there a way to have video play after the description of the form? Hi All! I am creating a form in Airtable and would love to allow users to see specific text based on their responses. I am familiar with using conditional form fields, but they seem to be limited to fields that require a response. I’d like to do something similar, but just with next that would inform the form user. Does anyone know if this is an existing functionality or if there are plugins to make it possible? Thank you!

After entering/editing a notes field on mobile app I am unable to exit using the arrow at top left of screen. I tap it and there is no response.  

I am creating an Interface for our company. The goal is to create an overview page, where our employees can see all they need, e.g. Links (which is easy) but also e.g. a summary of their working hours.The problem is: I don’t know where I can find the “Toolbox”, with which I can add elements to the page. If this is not possible in the overview page, I can create a different page which is dedicated to e.g. the working hours. But here I have the same problem: I can’t find the “Edit” button that leads me to the Toolbox. I hope the pictures explain the issue. Permissions: I am an admin and creator/collaborator in the base/interface. I tried to make myself a Builder (from the admin of our org), but we can’t find the “builder” option anywhere. What you can see in the screenshot is a record review page, and I would like to add an element to the top of the page that sums up all the overtime hours the employee has accumulated.

Hi everyone,My company has ~100–150 employees with a small dev team of 2–3 developers. Our developers are looking to start building custom Interface Extensions for Airtable, while still allowing some of our more technical team members to continue using Omni to build simple bases themselves. I’d like to set up proper version control in GitHub so the dev team can collaborate effectively. My main questions: Do you use GitHub (or another system) for version control with Airtable custom extensions? If so, do you manage everything in a monorepo(shared libs + extensions for multiple bases) or separate repos per base? Any best practices for balancing developer workflows with contributions from more technical, but non-developer, teammates? Would love to hear how others are approaching this. Thanks!

I spent the last 4h hitting my head with the keyboard and trying to find a solution by myself, so, no solution found, and, here I am.Scenario:2 tables: table A and table BTable A, has a linked filed to table B, and this last table contains several recordsBasically it is 1:n relation Ok. Now I setup a blank page on interface designer.I select a record picker for table A. No issues hereAnd, I select a record picker for Table A, but linked field to table B. (which effectively displays only those values from the table B that are available/linked to table A)The button triggers an automation which contains a script.  The idea -that is not working- is that the script should grab the value from the first record picker, which is the field recorded on Table A, and the value of the second record picker which is the linked field on table A pointing to table B.What is the issue? when I defined the variables, I declared field1

Dear community,All the data in my database is formatted as DD/MM/YYYY. This question is about meetings we have. The meetings should be link to other records. But when I want to link the meeting with date format DD/MM/YYYY in another table, the format is MM/DD/YYYY, which is quite confusing. Any idea how I could solve this?There is a screenshot of the situation attached.

Hello!I'm trying to add a button to an interface and call an automation on click, according to this guide it should be possible, however when I try to follow the steps I face this problem:Supposedly the button should have the action option "Run automation" as shown in this picture:However when I add a button to my interface that option is not present, as seen in this picture:Any help with this issue would be appreciated!

So many new goodies from Airtable yesterday! I did not see the JotForm integration coming, but was so excited when I read the newsletter. After playing around with the feature, I realized that mapping JotForm Fields to Airtable’s Linked Record Fields is not supported at this time. I contacted JotForm about this and was told they put in a feature request to their backend team, but couldn’t guarantee it would happen. No idea if this is something entirely on JotForm’s end, or if Airtable is able to help them maybe ( :slightly_smiling_face: ?), but I wanted to put in a word here and say how helpful enabling this feature would be. Without being able to map JotForm fields to linked record fields in Airtable, the integration is basically useless in all of my workflows. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I am in Seattle, using my local time zone, Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8). One of my columns, ‘Start Time’, contains a Date value of “1/2/2016 10:00”, but when I reference it in a separate column using DATETIME_FORMAT({Start Date}, ‘MM/DD/YY HH:mm’) the time displayed is 8 hours ahead (18:00). The same thing occurs for any other times I reference. I see that I could use SET_TIMEZONE, but do I need to use this whenever I want to have the results of a formula in my time zone? Is this a setting I can change in my account or base, anywhere?

Hi,I shared an interface with a collaborator, and he used to be able to change the status of tasks from the mobile app.Now, he can’t change the status only from the mobile app, even though he has the Creator role. It still works fine on desktop.anyone has an idea why is this happening?

Can someone help? I am trying to prefill our customer intake form with the source so I know where the form was filled out (i.e. from our website, at an event, ect.). When I change the URL it is showing correctly in the form, but when I submit it to Airtbale the source field is empty. Am I missing something?

I come from MS Access, so I realize I’m in uncharted territory here. I have several instances where I want to create a table that serves as a list for dropdowns to use across multiple other tables, and I’m not sure how to do that without it being really messy. For example, I want to make a list of departments as a table, rather than having a “single select” field type, so that if I add departments or change the name of departments, it will update across all tables that need to reference a department, rather than needing to update a dropdown field in every table that uses Department, every time there is a change in department names or structure. I have one table for order requests - every request needs a department. I have another table for personnel - every person is assigned to a department, etc. I’m finding that if I create a linked record, I’m getting a field added to department that may have thousands of linked records. I’m using this formula: WEEKNUM({Registered})Where “Registered” is the date a user registered on my website. This assigns each record a week number according to the Jan-Dec calendar.I want August 17-23, 2025 to be my Week 1 and January 25-31, 2026 to be my last week (Week 24). How can I change this?

In my data I have two fields, name of a program and hours. In the screen grab I’d like to move the hours in front of the program name. Is there a way to do this? This view exists in my interface. 

I’m trying to create an automation that sends an email to a table user when a “due date” field is tomorrow.  The trigger and action tests both get green check marks but when I turn on the automation, it shows a fail in the history because there’s nothing in the “To” field. It all looks like it should work so I’m not sure where I’m going wrong. Has anyone been able to make something like this work?   

I see a new layout option is available on the interface designer. Selecting this option just populates an empty page with a drop-down field off all my tables. I cannot for the life of me find anything anywhere in Airtable that might allow me to add an interface extension. Having the Base extensions in the interface would be SO amazing. 

Does anyone know if there is a special developer account or registration method that allows us to use the features of Enterprise as developers so we can showcase things for our clients? For example, I am currently hitting the 125k record limit in a mission critical base located in our primary Business tier workspace. I have no business upgrade path as I am not on Enterprise myself and yet I need to be able to support our client at the Enterprise level without joining their organization.

I am adding descriptions to records and they are showing up in Grid View but not in Calendar View. How do I get descriptions to show on Calendar View on the AirTable calendar imbedded on my website.
