Hey. I'm new to Airtable because the person previously in charge left suddenly. I think my question is regarding Historical Viewing in Airtable. In an Interface, is it possible to look back further than 30 days ago? I am able to look ahead 10 months but can only look back 30 days. Is there a simple way to do this, or do we need to upgrade our plan to unlock this feature? Thanks.

I am using Airtable with a new nonprofit. One of my bases is all about the Volunteers. I have successfully set up the tables to track contact info, training completed, hour tracking and more. I was even able to figure out how to set up a form for the Volunteers to fill out using a wall mounted iPad to do the data entry themselves for their hours worked. On that form, they are able to choose their name from the existing list because I have linked it to the main table. It works perfectly and allows me to create reports to track hours by person, role, date, etc. But then my boss asked that we have a photo for each Volunteer attached to their information in AirTable. OK. I can do that with an attachment field. But then I decided that I wanted the Volunteers to do that data entry as well. I’ve created an automation that uses the Google Docs integration to create a report. Records found by the automation are added to the GDoc in grid format. Unfortunately, each grid tops out at 10 records in the GDoc, even though the Find records actions have a limit of 100 records. Any ideas?

Is it possible to make a form that requires authentification in order to make sure that “Created by” is populated when the form is submitted?

I have a table with a list of articles that need to be written. The fields on the table are; article id, article progress status, author, drive link, Article title, Guidelines and deadline. I have created a sharable view with which my writers can see which articles they are assigned to and the necessary details without signing in. I collect the articles via a form where they submit the drive URL and the article id with a status (writing done) Problem is, when they submit the article it always creates a new record and I have to manually transfer the URL and change the status to the original record and delete the row that has been created by the form. Is there a way, to make it possible that the writers can submit the URL to the original record and change the status? without signing in.

I am using Airtable for volunteer sign up for an event and wondering if somehow I can add the liability release form electronically. Has anyone done this before within forms? We need a signature and what not so I don’t know if there’s a way to add an attachment they can type in and then that would save on my end. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’m new to using Script in airtable and was using ChatGPT to help me write my script. Basically, I want the script to read my table (titel is Workshop registration) and when people register, they can click on as many workshops as they want. The script was to then separate the 1 registration into multiple, and it worked! However, I changed one of the columns from single to multi-select and it messed everything up, including the set up. It also just started to bug out a lot. Do you guys know what I could do? I’m not a coder at all and was primarily using ChatGPT to help me write it.

However, I don’t have any programming experience whatsoever.The script is used as one of the steps in my Airtable automation. I’m in need of a script that:Takes a value from a field Multiple that value by -1 (negative 1) Return that value as input for the next step in my Airtable automationI’ve just started online course on Javascript, but this course obviously takes time and I need the script right away. It would be great if someone can help me out with this so I can implement it right away. From my online course, I know that the code should be straight forward enough even for someone with basic command of Javascript.Thanks!

Hi, I would like to create a fitness tracker for our climbing team. I periodically test our athletes (ie, vertical jump, shoulder strength, etc). I would like to track each athlete’s test scores/numbers, enter that information into airtable and have the ability to track each athlete’s improvement for each fitness test. One test is the vertical jump. I will need to test their standing reach and then standing jump. Ideally, I want to enter standing reach every so often (not every test) since the kids don’t grow that quickly. But I want to update standing jump every time we test. How do I enter standing reach into airtable and be able to retrieve that for future tests? I would like future tests to record standing jump but then reference standing reach in order to calculate vertical jump (ie, standing jump less standing reach). Thoughts?

I want to create a table in my send email automation because there are several features that I want to put in the email and formatting as a table makes it easy to understand. I tried creating a table using markdown and HTML but it isn't working.  

I’m using the pyairtable python package, and I’m looking for a way to delete columns in a table and reorder columns based on how they are named (e.g. if the columns are dates, I want the most recent date to be the left most column). Not sure if there is a way to do this using python, but I’m hoping I wont have to do this manually. Thanks in advance!

What’s the best way to create an automation with Airtable + Make/Zapier + ChatGPT + AI image generator (Midjourney, Leonardo AI, etc.)?  For example, enter a basic prompt in an Airtable base. Then, via Make it sends the prompt to ChatGPT, in which ChatGPT assesses the prompt and rewrites/improves it. The automation can stop there or go even further by then sending ChatGPT’s improved prompt and sending it to an AI image generator to instantly create that image?

The form that I have will only be used by internal folks and all the information populated will be on their record. We are running into an issue where it says that the “form was submitted by anonymous.” We’d like to track who submitted the form to see how many forms a person submitted in a given month. Is there a way we can have the name of the person who submitted the form? And is there a way for me to link form entries to that person’s record?

I have built a system where various tables for different Internal departments sync to a “target” table where an API takes the data and uses it in a Warehouse management system. The idea is to use this target table as a place where everything is put together, ideally without any human intervention.However now I've just read the following in the sync support section:Automatic syncs will eventually stop on bases that don't have any recent activity. To keep automatic syncs active make sure that some kind of action (i.e. create a record, update a record, create a new view, etc.) is being performed in the base on a regular basis by automations, humans, or a combination of the two. I wonder how that will affect my target table in the long run.Do new

Hello Everyone,I have observed that a limited number of my dropdown fields in the interface designer allow for the enabling or disabling of adding new options; currently, only about 40% have this feature enabled. How can I enable the feature to be available on all remaining dropdown fields?

How do I collect email address of people who fill the form? Do they need to fill in the email field each time? Or can that be just noted from a logged in user?

I have a lot of documents that want to organize. Airtable only allows photos. It would be great to add a scan feature.

I have a table with contact information for people and business. I need to associate contacts (in the same table) with each other where appropriate. When I associate Sally with Joey (see screen shot), I'd like Joey to automatically be added as an associated contact for Sally.I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how to automate this. Especially since I don't want to affect the Pizza Shop record in this case, I just need to locate the record that was just linked to (Sally) and enter the record that was updated (Joey) while also retaining any records the "linked to" record (Sally) already contained in the linked field (Pizza Shop). 

Hello guys! I work at a biotechnology company and we use bioreactors to produce fertilizers. My problem is the following: I have a database with two tables: Orders and Tasks One of the fields in the Projects table automatically calculates the number of fermentations (tasks) I have to run depending on the volume of fertilizer I need to produce. The calculation considers the total volume that must be made per order, the number of bioreactors I have available at the time of the order, and the production capacity of each bioreactor. Since the number of brews (tasks) is dynamic, I would like to automatically create a Task list for each order. For example, if I need to perform 17 fermentations (tasks) in a given order, I would like 17 new records to be created in the Tasks table and associated with the order. I just signed up for Twilio, including a A2- 10DLC registration. I tried to send a couple test from Airtable, but Twilio says Undeliverable because I’m not registered. Does it really take up to two weeks to have an A2p 10DLC registration approved? Is there anyway to send or test twilio in the meantime?

Hello folks, I am new to Airtable, any help is highly appreciated. I have different tables under the same base that tracks existing inventory and sales. I would like to create a third table that summarizes data for example I would like each row to represent a month and calculate profit/loss for that month but if I use rollup or formula fields it will apply the same formula into entire column which doens’t help my case. I need unique calculations to be carried for each row as each row will represent a month. 

I’m trying to create a form as follows; Based on the entry on one of the fields, I send out an API request with the field value. I get a result from the API and I show that in the form itself. Is this possible?

Hi,   I’m used to work with spreadsheets where you can refer to a cell in a previous row.And I know spreadsheets (data in rows) and database (data in records) can’t be compared.But I would like to build a project where I can see the evolution of a certain value.Here you have a simple table where the first column (datum = Dutch for date) is chronologically ordered and each value is unique.In the third column, I entered the difference between the current status and the status of the “previous month”  manually to show what I want.  Is there any possibility to get this done in Airtable?  With formulas in another extra table?

Is there a way I can share just a single record with an individual, via a customized link?  My nonprofit runs a program where people apply and then their application goes through various stages.  We have an Airtable form (as the application), which links to a base where each person’s application is displayed as a separate record.  We would like a way for people to automatically view the status of their application, so we are trying to see if there is a way to share their own record with them, but only their record-- not anyone else’s records in the base. Obviously, we could copy and paste their record and send it to them, but we often are contacted multiple times by people who are wanting to know about the status of their application as it moves through the phases, so we are curious whether we could create a custom link that we can send to people after they initially submit their application.  The idea would be that they can then return to the s
