I've having a little bit of trouble wrapping my head around this automation. I believe I know how to do this using multiple automations but I'm wondering if there is a way to get it all done in a single automation.Table 1 essentially calculates payments to submit to contractors for each "job". Example of relevant fields in a single job record:Joe payment = $100Sally payment = $150Bob payment = $80Jane payment = $0Bill payment = $0Table 2 includes ALL transactions for the business (income and payments). I've read the solutions for how to update a multiple select field without overwriting via automation. However, I have a bit of a wrinkle—this doesn't seem to be possible when using a Repeating Group.The background:I have a list of live performances in a table called Shows. I have a list of performers in a table called Artists. Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to Airtable and have a question as I'm building my database.I've found it helpful for me to assign "focus times" for tasks independently from their due date in previous systems, so I added a Single Select field named "Status" that has several options: Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Backlog, Completed, and On Hold. I have attached a screenshot of how that looks.Is there a way to create an automation that (at midnight) automatically updates anything with the Tomorrow status to have a Today status instead? I was able to create an automation to change a singular record, but I failed to find a method to update them all. I'm not sure if it's impossible, or if I just don't understand automations enough yet.Regardless, thanks so much, and have a great day!

Hello all, I have a question, and hopefully there's some type of solution to this issue. I managed 3 properties, but for now - we can just focus on 1. Property A has a total of 100+ units. When an end user fills out the form - they type in the unit number - and this is how I have my automation set up:As you can see from the above image, I have a find record and it will update that record for it's respective tenant. Example: The concern here I'm facing is, because Property A has 100+ units, is there a simpler way of creating automations to find records for each unit?Here's a view of the configuration for Property A, finding the "101" integer:

Hey y'all, hoping you can help me solve a thorny issue. We use Airtable in a big way across all of our teams, and we've built a Daily Duties board to give ownership and sightline to the must-happen daily needs of the business. Individual team leads assign their team members to the tasks weekly.The issue I'm having is in maintenance - currently we are duplicating the empty records weekly which is cumbersome and time intensive. I'm sure there is a way to do this via automations, but the issue I run into is date/time fields - running an automation to create records at a date/time, but neither configuration for start/end time - static or dynamic - is getting me what I'm looking for. We have both a start and end time so that it can be easily shown in a calendar view like the attached image. Any advice? I've bopped around here on the boards for a bit now but haven't found a particular case that matches what I'm looking to solve. Thanks!

I am working to automate a process that feels like I should be able to script but have been struggling. Admittedly I am new to scripting so I may not be understanding how to structure this, I have asked around, tried to get an assist from Chat GPT, and poked and prodded this along but the final outcome has eluded me. Let me break down the intended function and drop the code in. Any help is greatly appreciated.  Intended function:The automation is initiated when a record enters the "Meetings" view of the "Connections" table, there is a text field called "Attendee Emails" where a formula has collected and concatenated emails using ", " as a delimiter. We are passing that through to the script as an input variable called "attendeeemails". What we need is for the automation to go through the string stored in "attendeeemails" and pull each email out one by one, and check each individual email against the "Email" field in the "Full view" in the "People"

HiI would like to create a number field "recall" that each time the record is update make something like that: recall = recall +1.I used the automation with the update record filter and I try to apply formula on the recall filed by used a formula like tahs: SUM({recall}, 1) but it is returned an error about the format of the value.Do you have idea how to increment the value?For the moment I fixed by add string +1 and the result is "+1+1+1+1+1" for each time the update is execute.Thanks

HelloI want to copy one cell into another when the first cell gets updated. I have a formula field that generates an output: eg. Monday, Tuesday, FridayAs soon that the formula field gets updated, i want to copy it in to a multible selection.It is important, that not the whole row gets copied only the cell with was updated.Thanks for yout Help!

I created an automation with a Webhook trigger. When calling that webhook, I want to run a script that reads the webhook data (POST) and use them in my script. I haven’t found how to do something as simple as that so far. I’m starting to believe this isn’t possible.

So, I have contacts that have been pulled into Airtable from different sources (Active Campaign, Google Form, etc). Each data source is in it's own table and I have created a fourth table where I have pulled in EVERYONE using automations, lookups and roll ups. I have then grouped the view using email address and what I now have is a brilliant view of a single contact and how they are involved in our company. In my example below, I can see that she is a 'Puppy Handler' (pulled in from google docs data) and she has also subscribed to a few of our marketing emails (pulled in from activecampaign)... However, autonumber have given her 5 different ID numbers as she has a total of 5 entries within the base... is there anyway I can create a singe ID for her using her unique email address as the unique value???

Hello! This isn't the most important thing if it's not possible, but I'm embedding multiple lists into my email automation. (Based on each piece of legislation's changed status.)I'm wondering if there's a way to hide the plain text when it corresponds to a grid that returns empty. For example, in the below, if only the heading "Floor Vote Result" could be displayed/sent, since it's the only grid that returned content, while the other headers would be conditionally hidden. Any tips? Thanks!

I keep a large database of images in my Airtable. The jpg files include "document title" and "description" in the metadata. I would like to automatically insert that text into different fields in my table.The closest thing I can find is this EXIF extractor api but as far as I know this is different from the metadata in my jpg files (am I understanding this right?).This seems like a solution others would be interested in so I'm surprised I'm struggling to find information.

I am using the Update Record action type in airtable automation. However what I notice is that it completely replaces the existing data in that cell and overwrites it with new data. Is there a way to update the record by appending new data to the already existing data without overwriting? The field that I am updating is a linked record and would already have some ids existing. I just want the update record to append new ids to the existing list.

Hello!I am having issues with automation emails showing they've been sent in the base, but are not being received by the users. This issue just started to occur. Automation shows "on" and run history shows that they have all run successfully and that the email sent was successfully completed. This is the first time experiencing this issue. Please advise if possible. Thank you!

We are completely maxed out on automation runs! This is because Airtable hasn't reset after last month. On December 31st we were at 80% which is too close for comfort but with it only being a day until it should have reset we weren't worried about it. Here it is on January 3rd we're dead in the water!!!!!!!!! Obviously I cannot get immediate help from Airtable Support. I've talked to their sales department about upgrading us to an Enterprise plan but this is not immediate. Anyone have experience or know what to do? Maybe you've got a contact on the inside that could reset our automation runs for the month. How is this not automatic?!We have business critical functions relying on our Airtable. 

Hello to all my colleagues,The query I have I think is kind of stupid, because it should work as I am configuring a button in an interface, so that when it is clicked, it triggers an action that in my case is to run a script. I am following the instructions posted at:https://support.airtable.com/docs/when-a-button-is-clickedI am blocked at this point "Connect the automation to an interface".The problem I have is that I can't select the action to follow when someone clicks on the button, because the option "Run automation" does not appear within the options to select. Hi there - all my automations are failing. I have disconnected and re-connected my gmail accounts but they are still failing to run. Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to fix this - I'm pretty new to Airtable but hope I can understand the solution to fix this. 

Hello,I am trying to set up something so simple, but AT is making it so complicated.All I'm trying to do is:- When a new record is created- Find a previously created record with the same CUSTOMER NAME & PHONE NUMBER - (while also looking to see if one of 2 checkboxes are checked)- If the NAME, & PHONE NUMBER are the same, and the previous record has a checkbox ticked, then add that checkbox tick to the new record.(If the checkbox is unticked, leave the new record unticked as well)I've gotten the automation to halfway work, but it is adding the new checkbox tick to every new record even if the previous record doesn't have a checkbox ticked.This seems like such an easy automation, but I've tried using "When a record is created", and "When a record matches conditions", I've tried doing the "find record" step in between the update record step, and without, but nothing is working.Please can

I have an Airtable Base with a document upload field. I take the URL of the documents and map that to a JSON to pass through an API.Sometimes, users will upload multiple documents to that table. The output URLs are in an array. I have a pdf module that will combine the PDF files into a single URL. I just need to map all the URLs in the array to the module.However, I am having a very tough time doing this. From the Airtable module, I can only map the first URL in the array. If I use an iterator, I cannot map each iteration in the same module. If I put the pdf module after an aggregator, I can again only map one iteration. I cannot set a variable of both iterations in between the iterator and the aggregator. I tried setting a variable but ran into the same issue where I can't map more than one iteration.I solved this issue in another scenario with email attachments by creating a Drive folder, uploading everything to that drive folder, and sharing a link to the fol

Lets call this table - T.Can basic automation do either: a) I have a linked field to T in another table, so its content is Array of record_id`s from T. Can i select and iterate such array with automation ?b) Compare complex field content for each record in T with Example, stored in another Table ? (Compare like a string)or i need Scripting capabilities for that?

Hi all.I've created an airtable that is populating customer subscription changes via a Zapier integration with our revenue tool, Chargebee.The changes occur in the "Subscription Status" column in the airtable base:This is working, however when I try to create new views dedicated to those subscription statuses (active, pause, cancelled, and new), those updates aren't occurring in those views.Eg. the second record you can see in the screenshot is a new subscription that I created, then paused. Both of these actions were recorded successfully.However, the subscription itself is not appearing in either the new subscription view (after creation occurred) nor the pause subscriptions view (after pause occurred).I tried two methods: duplicating the "All Subscriptions" view, and also simply creating a new grid view.Is there a simple step

I am working with a Marketing Agency that is using Airtable to manage task work. Currently, we have a table with tasks, grouped by frequency (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly). For each task, if the task is applicable to a client - that client is linked to the task with a linked record. We currently have automations, per client, to create tasks by frequency (using time as the trigger and finding the client record and checking for the applicable tasks that match the frequency). This means that for each client, we have to have a separate automation for each frequency to ensure tasks are generated for the client ONLY IF they have that task included in their applicable tasks. We are running into our automation limit (50 per base) so I need to find a solution and I'm wondering if there is a better way to automate the task creation while retaining the functionality of only generating tasks that are applicable to the client. I'm open to suggestions for restructuring
