Hello, I created 2 automations in Airtable: 1- to calculate the distance between two points using the Haversine formula and: 2- for reverse geocoding to convert latitude and longitude into an address. Unfortunately, I'm getting an unexpected result when I execute a new data record; it updates results with numerous rows! Does anyone know how to control this?

I would like to know when a repeating group in Automations is finished. I try to use a number field and update it incrementally but the formula does not seem to work in Automation. Is there any other way?

hi all, i have a parent table that is copying data to a child table on a condition. I've written the script and I can handle all the data types except I'm having trouble with the linked field. I have a User table linked to both tables. I keep getting this error: id has incorrect objectId prefix "sel", expecting one of ["rec"]the linked field I'm copying returns this object:{id: "seleCE7wF1kaofYBd", name: "Lucas", color: "cyanLight2"}but the actual record id of "Lucas" on the user table returns "rec6TmmKCTEiSp3BA".How can I fix this? 

Fetch request is built like this, including these headers: But it returns a CORS error — the webhook isn’t returning Access Control Allow Headers… Oddly enough I can get it to work from Postman: And if I follow the proxy outlined here it works as well. Is there a way to make the webhook return that header? Or another solution? Thanks!

Hello! I'm trying to use automations to link a comma-separated string of names to a separate table.I have to pass the name from Table A, to a column titled "Parse Match" (because names in A do not match record titles in B) in Table B, then link them back in Table A.This was easy to do via automations for the "Lead Sponsor" column, because there's only one name to link.But I'm stuck figuring out how to link a string of comma-separated last names in table A, column "Co-Sponsors" to the "Parse Match" column in Table B, then back to Table A.Any suggestions? If this requires a script to separate the comma-separated values per record, that's beyond my abilities right now… 😛Table ATable B

Hey there Y'all - I am trying to have Airtable automatically duplicate a record in the SAME table when the status of another record is "approved". The duplicate record would have all the same information except the status would be set to "editing" and the type would be set to"IG Reel". How can I make this happen automatically? THANKS

Hi there 🙂  Im have what is seems to me fairly complicated automation which I did not manage to complete, and would appreciate your suggestions.I have three tables, all linking to each other; Database, Price, and Partners.Database table can be linked to multiple Price and Partners records, but Price and Partner can be linked to only one Database record.I want to create an automation that duplicates all records from Price table linking to Database table, and then link the duplicated records to Partners table. The result will be having Database and Partners table linking to identical, but not the same records in Price table.The automation trigger is single select field in Partners table, set to Create.Thank you 🙂

I am using the airtable gmail integration to send emails. When I send emails, I noticed that no profile image appears for the recipient, even though I have set a profile image in airtable and gmail. How do I add a sender profile image to go with my emails. See below:Thanks, 

Hi fellow Airtable community,I'm having some trouble with an "Airtable > Send Email" automation, specifically in displaying the right time in the dynamic fields populated via the email. I'm using Airtable's brand version of the software and I'm using the new grid of records function (see photos attached). Basically, what I want to be displayed in the data is what is actually in the view (however, the time displayed in the email is about 5 hours off, contrary to the data that is in the view). My guess is because, this is a time zone thing but I don't know how to fix this in the "grid of records" function being used. As this is a dynamic field within airtable's software, I don't know if I can even troubleshoot this issue. Hello!I have a client that needs to take a list of passwords and assign the next one off the list to each new record as it is added to Airtable via Zapier. Each new record would get the next password from the list (well, column, really).New User 1 | Password 1New User 2 | Password 2New User 3 | Password 3If I'm not mistaken, I cannot simply prefill that column in my table, leaving the other columns blank, because new records would just be created as a new row below the final password row, ignoring that the other columns are blank. Is what I'm trying to accomplish possible? Hi all - I feel like I'm overthinking this but hoping you can help. I have a table with some products and a field with a list of variants. I'm using Zapier to loop through the list and create separate records in another table with the product information and variant selected. What I can't figure out is how to delete (or change the record status to deleted) if I remove a variant from the list. Hope you guys have some thoughts.

Example, I have a field called Created by Now I want to share a view that is created by Me alone I don’t want to create 400+ views just to provide everyone their own I only want 1 view that I can share to everyone but it only filters the record they have created Providing access to the base and telling everyone to create their own personal view is NOT the one I need I cannot share the record of Person-A with Person-B any chance to do this?

Hello all, I have a tenant directory showcasing all units and properties. I have 2 locations with the same unit # but different buildings. I've created a separate column to distinguish the buildings and their identical units. Here's an example:Building #1Building #2As you can see, both buildings have the same unit numbering, the only thing separating them are the buildings. I have an automation to find the respective record, and place that record to the corresponding property - however when it's entered - it keeps going to address "54321 N Ave" unit 201 record instead of the "1234 N Ave" unit 201's record. Hi. I find it helps to think of this as similar to updating the number of available stock-items after an order. 😊I have a 'claims' table where each record is a tutor claim - per student. Each claim contains a 'number of hours claimed' field. I then have an update record automation which passes that value to a 'hours last session' field in my 'student' table.Now, in my 'student' table I need a new automation to run each time my 'hours last session' field is updated, to take that value and add it to a 'total hours used' field, Essentially, a running total.It seems simple but I just can't seem to find a way of doing this!Any help would be very much appreciated! I am working on building a database to build donor records from donation records, and I'm trying to build an automation that updates any donor's name and contact information to match their most recent donation.The automation is triggered when the Last Donation Date field of a donor record is updated. Next, a find operation retrieves the donation record associated with that date and donor, but working with the donation record from that point consistently produces the following error messages:"Fields" could not be converted to a stringReceived invalid inputsFor example, I try to update the Name field (string) of the donor record with the Donor Name field (formula) of the donation record. I only want to do so if the Donor Name field is not empty. When I check for emptiness in the find operation, it is successful, but if I check for emptiness with a Conditional logic group, it triggers the "Received invalid inputs error."

I manage a team of project managers and one of the things I'd like to use Airtable for is notifying our accounting department of when certain billing landmarks are reached so they can invoice. Currently I'm able to set up multiple automations per project for each landmark but have run out of automations. I tried to consolidate by adding multiple project numbers to the same automation or multiple landmarks that would need to be reached to the same project number but need the ability to use "and" as well as "or" in an automation. Right now, it seems I can only use one or the other.For example, I need to be able to set the condition to be as follows so an email is sent when either of the following is met:When 'Project Number' is 'A405' OR 'A406'and 'MLR status' is 'MLR 1'orWhen 'Project Number' is 'A405'and 'MLR status' is 'MLR 1' OR 'Status' is 'Live'Is this something that Airtable supports? Hi. My real-world application uses an 'update record' automation to pass the last date and number of hours of a client session to my 'client' table as 'last session'.I need a new automation to run each time that field changes. I want it to look at my 'number of hours allocated' field (each client is allowed a fixed number of hours), and deduct the new 'last session hours' from it, to show 'hours remaining'.It seems simple but I just can't seem to find an elegant way of doing this. Originally I thought it might be possible in a formula, but of course I can't reference the field the formula is in.(I'm thinking of this as similar to keeping track of number of available stock items)

Hello!I'm new here and new to Airtable, but I was looking for some help if it's possible 🙂I have a table with bookings and I want to run an automation at the beginning of every week that groups all the upcoming bookings that are relevant to each individual person in the bookings, to send them an email with an overview of all their upcoming appointments.It's easy enough if I do it for each booking individually, but then one person might receive 3 emails with each booking which I am trying to avoid.I have been playing around with the Find Records function in the automation, where I can create an array of all the upcoming appointments for the week but I don't know how to dynamically find and group the records based on the persons name. At the moment, I just have a list of all the bookings.Is this something that is possible in Airtable? and how can I go about it?Thanks for your time!

Hi, I am having issues with my script (screenshot attached)... can someone help me understand why it cannot find the record? My intent is to have a table record update every field that is a record in the in another table with the content field.

I have an automation set up to find linked records from another table. The problem is, it won't run! It just says in progress. What am I doing wrong? If this is a rate limit issue (I have 458 records), how can it be avoided? 

Hi there - I am having trouble creating automations to change the status of a single select field based on start and end dates.Example 1 - I need the status to change from "Scheduled" to "Live" once a start date has passed. As in, if a class has a start date of 1/5/24, then this record would switch from "Scheduled" to "Live" once 1/5/24 begins.Example 2 - I need the status to change from "Live" to "Completed" once the end date of the class has passed. I set the automation trigger for "When a record matches conditions" If END DATE is before today. The action step is "Update record" but this is where I believe I'm having trouble getting the automation to read the entire table and make all applicable changes.Attaching screenshots of what I tried based on END Date, but it did not work. Any help is appreciated.
