Hello Airtable Community,I'm in the process of transitioning from Google Sheets to Airtable to manage a dance school, with the aim of creating a more robust and streamlined system. I've successfully set up tables for students, classes, venues, staff, and periods (e.g., May 2024, June 2024). So I'm trying to import images in an attachment field.  I tried connected my Dropbox account but unfortunately it's not showing all the folders in my Dropbox account.  It's only showing the first folder.  Is there something I'm missing with permissions maybe? 

Hello All! I was wondering if anyone could explain in more detail how the sync feature works in relation to payment plans. We recently upgraded one of our workspaces to a team plan, and were looking at ways to have more users as read-only. I wanted to see if the Workspace with the Teams plan could operate as a large data repository, across departments and functions. and then have specific views feed into other workspaces. (i.e. A central place for customer data with a wide variety of customer types, and needs) Then the Teams workspace can handle automations, and large numbers of records, while the free workspaces are synced with a subset of the data. I attempted to sync from the Teams workspace to an unpaid one, and it said that it wouldn't work. But it seems to have synced anyway but may just not be updating. Please let me know if this is a viable option, or would there be an automation to automatically push any changes made to the Sy

Hi, So lets say I want to create an interface or even a table lets say, where I can take records from one table and filter it by a certain date/time frame and get those records. For example. Table 1: Has clients that signed up from different months in different products. Table 2: Takes that data and sorts it into how many clients went to each product. Now I want to be able to just pick dates of my choice to see how many clients for a certain product I got in a certain time period. Thanks

I want to create a field or use a field that will allow me to create "fuzzy dates".  I'm in a business where I want to create records containing a date field.  But, the date field sometimes needs to be flexible.  Sometimes, I know an exact date, like "1 January 2001" or "01/01/01".  But, sometimes all I know is that the event happened in 2001, or that it happened in January 2001, but I don't know the exact date or the exact date doesn't matter and what is important is that I enter for the record that January 2001 is the relevant event measure.  I have used other applications that let me do this quite handily.  So, for the other application, I can enter "??/??/01" to record that the event happened in 2001 and the month and date is either unknown or not relevant.  Or, "01/??/01" would indicate that I know the event happened in January 2001, but I don't know the exact date in January.  It would be quite rare, if not irrelevant, that I might want

Hey everyoneBackground: we are using AT as a CRM Goal: track who of our customers are at which eventsMy solution thus far has been to have a People table and an Events table within the same base. Within each event, there is a guest list field that links to the "name" field of the "people" table. The issue is, I want to be able to quickly link guests to events, i.e. by uploading a CSV guest list and then that automatically linking to the "people" list. Ideally, on the "People" i could create gallery views for each event. I'm sure something like this is possible  but can't figure out how to do so! anyone have any guidance?? 

I'm managing Airtable for a large team of 60 people. We've designed a variety of interfaces for their needs, with the goal of preventing them from going into the base and tampering things.However, we still want them to use the CSV Import extension, which unfortunately only exists with Base-Editor access. Does anyone have suggestions for importing CSVs (either with a script, integration, or anything) with just Interface access?

Hi all! miniExtensions (https://miniextensions.com/) looks to have a few solutions that would give me the functionality I really need for my base. I can’t seem to find any posts from folks who are actually using these extensions, as opposed to just miniExtensions promoting their own extensions. Hi, So I have two tables. One table has a bunch of clients that have been assigned a certain assignee/person. The second table wants to be able to keep track of how many clients are assigned to each assignee/person. How would I be able to do this? I've tried to link and lookup and count but nothing seems to work. Thanks. 

Hey all! Im currently using the Project Management template airtable has provided to track our engineering projects. Id like to remain using this template as it has some functions built in to show progress of each project, and using the predefined fields they display nicely in Gantt view. This is done by linking records from the Tasks table (each record is a task).The template has a table for Projects, and a secondary table with all the Tasks.In our case, every engineering project has the exact same set of tasks, so it wouldn't make sense to keep adding redundant tasks over and over to the Tasks table in order to set up the differing deadlines. I would rather create a new table listing all the tasks for one project, and duplicate the said table and rename for other projects.  The problem with this is that in the Projects table, I can only link to records from one other table, hence the connected formula fields can only show progress of one

Hello!I am working on an inventory project and have created a view that groups items by location (ie. bin 1, bin 2, bin 3). I would like to make QR codes for each bin that you can scan and view its contents. I was wondering if it's possible to generate links to specific groups within a view!

Hi there! I use a synched base to manage active studentsIf a student drops out of a course, they are labeled as ex-students, which lead to them being de-synced. They may return a few weeks before, taking another course. Marked as a student again, they are synced again. I realized that Airtable remembers the fields of this record in the synched table and automatically reruns teh automations, resulting in some failures.Can someone tell me how to avoid this airtable function!?I hope I have explained this properly. We've been using Airtable for several years to track our Marketing & Design projects. We have a "Designer" field that is a dropdown menu of Airtable user names to pick from.I am now trying to mimic Airtable's Resource Allocation template to track team resources and team availability. However, I'm running into an issue since our system is based on the Designer filed pulling in Airtable user names, compared to the Resource Allocation template that uses a table of designer names (which would also include # hours a week worked, scheduled time off, etc)How do I create a "bridge" that will look at the Designer field (username drop down) and tie it to the same person's name in the new Designer table so in addition to tracking each person's weekly hours, time off, it also connects to all jobs assigned to them?Here's a video explanation of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Hello! I currently am using Make to funnel in data from a webhook and then create a record in airtable. My goal currently is to be able to display Events per hour for each day of the week, I am essentially trying to recreate the table in the screenshot below:I've been playing with it for the last few days but am struggling with the best way to accomplish this. I believe one of my issues is that the "Date-Time" isn't explicitly coming from the webhook and rather just Airtables "Date" data type with the "Use current Date". Just looking for any guidance/nudges in the right direction on how I could accomplish recreating the table below. .

In plastic injection, each physical Mold has a number of physical Eyelets which produce a digital shape called Pieces (Component). Components, which are respectively, Pieces, Outsources, Workmanship, come up together in a joint table named Product Recipes and make up Products. For approving communications and other projects, it would improve our workflow if I could share a view and allow the Stakeholder to click a button that would approve the project/communication and move it to the next stage. Another option would be if there was some sort of "reply APPROVED" option to an email that would automatically insert "APPROVED" into a field in Airtable.Is any of this possible?Thanks!Nick

I am new in Airtable and i need hepl with the following:I have 3 original  tables ("Contact", "Structure" and "Management") in my base. I need a table showing all fields of each table as a summary. The base is still developing so I might add fields in the original tables (for example "Email Adress" in "Contact").I created a new table called "complete database", linked it to the three original tables and added lookup fields for all the fields from the original tables. Now I realized that, if I add a new field in an original table it is not automatically added to the "complete database".Is there another option? If i summarize the tables in a new synchronized base ... how do can I put them all into one table?thank you for helping!Julia

I have a database of people and one of the columns contains links to other records in that "People" database and is meant to showcase which other people this record has a relationship with. I was wondering if there is a way to update two records simultaneusly, so that when I add Person B as a relation to Person A, that relationship is reflected in both records.

I'm trying to create a calendar to show different dates that our personnel are not available. What I can't figure out is if there's a way to have a different label show for each specific set of date ranges as I would like the calendar to show the specific reason someone is not available during those dates.I have 5 sets of unavailability date ranges and each of those have notes that pertain to the respective date range (i.e. why that person is out). The fields are set up now as Date 1 Start - Date 1 End - Date 1 Notes, with 5 sets of fields like that.When toggling those notes on in the customize labels function, I get all the notes attached to each date range included in each calendar block. And the date ranges label function only lets you set one label for all records that have data in that date range.What I want on the calendar blocks:Date Range 1 - Date Range 1 NotesDate Range 2 - Date Range 2 NotesWhat I'm getting:Date Range 1 - Da

Time zones are difficult to handle within AirTable. Here is an example that gives me a headache. I have a table (let's call this table Calendar) in which there is, among other things, a Date Field associated with an event occurring at a Location. Strangely (in my opinion), I cannot set the time zone in the Date Field in question.In another table (let's call it Locations), I have the list of Locations in question. I also have a Cumulative Field that aggregates all the event dates related to this Location in my Calendar table. However, in this Cumulative Field, I can choose the Time Zone. Naturally, I choose the time zone in which we work.The result is that the event dates in these two tables are in different time zones. The Locations table operates in the EDT time zone while the Calendar table operates in the GMT time zone.How can I make my CALENDER table work in EDT? 

I have 5 supervisors that I am wanting them to "review" workers for each shift of an event.  Ideally, I want a way for the supervisors to be shown a blank table where they write their own notes for 6 different fields for each worker without seeing the notes that other supervisors have written.I don't care if they see their old notes...or if their entries disappear from their view altogether after filling in the data.I would need to be able to see the entire table with everyone's entry.Is this a possibility?   

Beginner here, asking a question which has no doubt been asked a lot and probably has a simple, obvious answer! Apologies in advance...I have one table containing all of our customer bookings. In this table there is a formula field that takes the date that the booking was made and assigns it a week number based on a weeknum formula.I have another table where I have the week numbers listed from 1-52 in a field. The outcome I want is to have other fields that adds up figures from the customer bookings that took place in the same week number. Simple SUM-like formulas that add up how long the bookings went for, how much they cost etc (all of which are fields in the original customer bookings tables).I'm not sure if I'm using the correct terms when I am googling this info but I haven't found anything that helps as yet.I made a mock base that might better show what I've got and what I want

Hello everybody,Until know, what I've been doing on my Airtable databases in terms of naming is I use:- the singular for fields that contain only a single valueVS.- the plural for both fields that contain multiples values and tablesEx.: In my 'Invoices' database (see attachments), I use 'Service' in the Line Items table because each line item matches only one particular service, but I use 'Services' in the 'Invoices Receivable' table because there are usually multiple charged services on one invoice.While battling with Documint in order to automate the generation of PDF invoices, I figured that this discrepancy might be the cause for problems in data retrieval.=> Do you have best practices to suggest in terms of field/table naming?I would very much appreciate our help on this one.
