Imagine that I have three different fields.Disboard URLTop.gg URLOfficial invite URLHow do I make it so if a field isn't found in the formula, it'll fallback to the next one of lower priority. For now I would like my formula to lookup three fields. Here's what I've got so far but it only works with two fields.IF({Disboard URL} + {Top.gg URL}='' ,BLANK(), {Disboard URL})
Hello everyone. I intend to connect interviews (synced to Airtable from a Google Calendar account) to different records, each one of which represent a single deliverable. The constraint that I face is that if I connect more than one interview to the same deliverable, only the first one appears in the Calendar View of the same table. Can someone help me resolve this?Thank you in advance!
Hi again,I'm facing an issue in base designing and I can't find the answer myself or in this forum, so I'm trying here,I have this field in the table named "Actions", linked to another table named "Inventory", every time I add an action, I can choose to add every item I have in my "Inventory" table.I want to keep my inventory up to date, so every time I add a row in the "Action" table, I want to -1 of the specific item in my Inventory section. Can you help me find a way to do it? I tried automations, but didn't really understand how that works, I tried formulas too, but I'm unsure of the results, given the fact that I can put various items in the Action table.Thank you,Elie
Hi all,I want to build a base for tracking the onboarding and ongoing training of employees at our company. We have a list of “SOPs” standards and guides. I’ll just call them SOPs here. There are actually several lists (one for engineering, one for accounting, one for HR stuff, etc). These lists currently reside in a series of google sheets that have columns to describe what the SOP is for, who “owns” it, what the status of it is and its priority for training purposes and a link to it (in google drive). Then there is a master list that links out to the other lists. The challenge is that I want to track how well each employee on the team knows a particular standard, and if it is a priority for them to learn it. And it doesn’t make sense to do that in the spreadsheet format. I want to transition this to an Airtable base that relates a table with our employees (a row/record for each employee) to a table with the SOPs. So for each employee there would be a few fields that define: their lev
Hello. I have a base that has the following tables in it: Projects, Tasks, Communications Form, Web Form, Creative Request Form and Photo/Video Request Form. Under the Tasks table, we have a view that shows what everyone is working on. Each Table that has a Form also has a grid to collect responses and assign a user to the task. Is there a way to pull the tasks from the form tables to the "What are people working on" view in the task table? If not, is there a good workaround that might help people not have to check multiple tables? Thanks!
Hello! This is my first post, so I hope I'm posting in the right place.I am trying to use Airtable as a production board for my company. When an order comes through Shopify, I have Zapier tell it to upload the information with Line Items, but my team doesn't always know how many items may be in one order to complete it, so I started showing "1 of x" for my guys to know when they view the interface. Is there a way for Airtable to automatically mark a job with the same "Order Number" (as it is grouped right now) to autopopulate the numbers of the line items in a column, even if it just auto-numbers with 1, or 1, 2, 3 etc. then I can reformat the way it looks?Or is there a better way to go about what I'm trying to accomplish? I feel like I'm overcomplicating it.Thank you so much!
Hello, I am a newbie to building out AirTable bases and am mainly working off of AirTable's Marketing Campaign Tracker base to make my life easier as my new team gets more and more campaigns in various stages.AirTable's Gantt view with field dependencies is what made me move my tracking efforts over from Trello, but I am realizing the campaign management base may not exactly be what I had in mind for tracking how long the campaign is in each stage. I was curious if there is a newbie-friendly way (I AM willing to put time into it, but my skills are not good) to build a base to track the duration in days from the automatic single-select field value (such as not started) to the last field value (usually completed or approved). Because some campaign steps can be done together, or need to be done before another, I would also need a start date to reference. Ideally, I would love to reference the Marketing Campaign Tracker fields to get this duration and date started. The goal is to be ab
So I am looking to utilise this, the base I am looking for is I enter a property address and it will create a task list of items such as photography, entering data into our system, safety checks all these to be either as Not started, in progress or completed. Of which the role for certain tasks will never change simply I would like for 1 name/property to be entered and it just creates all the tasks automatically.
I'm slowly learning some basics, and struggling to understand how I would use Rollups to get "total" metrics. I have a "contacts" base, and a "metrics" base. I'd like to pull from contacts, roll up the total "sent," "opened," and "replied" emails and then I can calculate my % off of those in another column.
I'm using Airtable to manage school operations. We use Google Calendar to organize lessons for different teachers. I'm on a Pro plan. There is a limit of 3 sync sources per table. The problem is that we have 4 different calendars and we need to have all the events in one table. Is there a workaround for this? I tried a lot of different ideas but nothing worked.
I have two tables: Table 1 with companies and their data and table 2 which is synced from box that has the details on company logos as png images for each company. I have managed to use airtable sync to pull in the logo images from box to airtable - table 2. However now I want to copy those images to table 1 that has company data. Basically the idea is to match the company names between table 1 and table 2 and then copy images from table 2 to table 1 if there is a match. Is there a way to automate this?If I had to make use of lookup fields, how should I go about it?Thanks!
Hi, first post and new to airtable.I'm looking to place the hour-by-hour split on the timeline view with day timescale on the vertical axis, rather than it being on the same axis as the dates day-by-day. I'm looking for something like this:While right now by view looks like this:Any help is greatly appreciated!
I'm new to Airtable, but I'm learning fast. I have a table called "Parts" with names and current quantities of parts. I want to create a table to keep track of part orders. I see you can select multiple records from a "link to another record" column, but I need to be able to identify that I ordered multiple of a certain part in an order. However, you can only add a record once to in a "link to another record". How should I go about implementing this?
Hi, I am a new user of Airtable. I'm creating a new Sales Base for a carpet company. I have two tables, Sales Orders and Sales Order Lines, which are linked one to many. I want to create a Form, Enter the Sales order information, and then be able to create new sales order lines related to that sales order. However, it seems on a form, and you can only select records already in the sales order line table. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksSteve
I want to create a "Kudo board" where employees can select from a drop-down list (single select) of company employees they want to give kudos to.My thought process is I would like to create a form that includes a list of employees' names from a drop-down (single select field) and a long text field, to add the kudos. When they "submit," it will populate a table with the employee name and the kudos received. If I want to add a single select field under forms, is there a way to copy/paste in a list of employee names? I don't want to type them out one by one.Note when you are working directly in a table, you caneasily copy/paste a list of names directly into a single select field. Here's a video that demonstrates how you can do this in a table: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzCh020xracHowever, there does not seem to be an easily way to copy/paste a list of items into a single select field if you are working under "forms."If anyone knows, it would be much appreciated!
Hi y'all,So, I have a store on shopify were i sell products in stock and products that are on preorder. The variants in stock are defined by the word "EXPRESS" and a metafield in them, the rest of them don't have it. I'm using the AirPower template to track products and variants and sales but i don't know if it is the right solution for my case. I would like to automatize the tracking of the Variants i have in hand and once they go out of stock to transform them in preorder products automatically, so basically to delete the field "EXPRESS" and the Metafield attached. Also i would like to track sales too. What i'm struggling with is the way the Variants are logged.I have multiples of the same variant but bought at different price points and at different dates. I can't just add "#" to the variant quantity because i would lose the option to track how much i'm making on that specific variant and how long that product stays in my hand. Both pretty important details. At t
Apologies if this is a simple question - I've tried to figure this out for hours now and I'm at a loss. I'd prefer not to use automation for something so simple, but will do so if necessary. Here is my issue:I have an intake form setup to receive responses from sources external to my org. Let's say it's a form to request for sandwiches to be delivered. The user selects from various options for types of sandwiches (Peanut Butter, Ham and Swiss, Roast Beef). Each of these sandwiches take different times to prepare. Therefore, I have the following tables with the following fields:Sandwich RequestsTypePrepare TimeRequesterDate ReceivedEtc.SandwichesTypePrepare TimeThe "Sandwiches > Prepare Time" field is just a number - the days it takes to prepare a sandwich. I want this to automatically populate into the "Sandwich Request > Prepare Time" field automatically based on the type of sandwich requested. How do I do that?
Hello! I am looking for a freelancer with references to build out my 2024 marketing tactical plan. I've used Airtable before for relatively simple project tracking, but this is more detailed.
I would like to create a button or url so when it is pressed it will go to WhatsApp.com Share on WhatsApp WhatsApp Messenger: More than 2 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family, anytime and anywhere. WhatsApp is free and offers simple, secure, reliable messaging and calling, available on phones all over... {gsm} is the phone number and should open up WhatsApp Desktop. Any ideas?
I am looking for a view where the users can only see the modified status but unable to edit it.i have a scenario reserving a seat for an event.if two agents reserves a same seat at the same time, we cannot tell under whose name it will show as in the view it is filtered to hide reserved seats. can we get a view where they can see the finalised reservations and cannot edit anything in that view
Does airtable support a user-friendly calendar field? The calendar that I currently see on an interface is not too great. I need to keep clicking the back arrow to go to previous month. So if I want to go from the year 2023 to 2018, I need to keep clicking back multiple times. I want to know if there is a way to have a calendar that allows easy selection of years and months. If not available in airtable directly, is there an extension that can be used?
What would be the most practical way to incorporate multiple tables worth of calendars into one? In an interface, to be specific.I have three tables worth of data I'd like to mix together in a single calendar. I suppose I could have them all in one table, but I'm concerned it might make things a bit busy in that main table.I have Table 1 that is basically like a CRM for any incoming proposal requests for my business and I have a few date fields there. 3 sets of start and end dates to cover dates we'd hold for the client. Then I have Table 2 where we actually schedule specific events. Just a start date (with a time) and an end date (with a time) for a specific event stemming from an approved project in Table 1. 1 entry in Table 1 could have 20 events in Table 2, mind you. But every Table 2 event is linked to an entry in Table 1, so there's already a natural link there.Table 3, on the other hand, is less connected to Table 1 and 2. This is just a
I have three tables in one base - Schools, Teachers (teachers are linked to a school) and Bookings (bookings are linked to a school and a teacher). I would like to create a one linked text field that I can update in any of these tables. How do I do that? I don't want to swap to a different table or click into a linked record to update the text.
Hello Airtable Community! I am relatively new to the platform and looking to build a solution to track work relationships and contract info for individuals as part of an organization. Right now, I have multiple tables, one for each "level" or "grouping" of employment (Regional Directors, Program Managers, Program Associates, Country Staff, Consultants, etc). I also have tables for each level of organization (region, country). I have them linked to one another to show relationships (so, for example, each record in the Regional Directors tab has a column for the region they direct, the countries in that region, the program managers in their region, program associates in their region, country staff in their countries, etc, all pulled from the other tables).I have found that these separate tables are necessary because each class of info has different fields that it needs. Country staff, for example, have contracts with start and end dates and submit invoices that need to be tracked month t
I have a Teams plan and recently discovered that you can only have 50 Automations per base (I don't know if this is a plan limitation or not, just providing details). NOT a limitation that I've ever seen displayed anywhere on plan details or comparison pages. So it's a bit frustrating after investing a lot of time and effort into building out my base (including nearly 5k VERY detailed records), with lots of additional work in the pipeline to expand the base's capabilities, only to find out now that, as is, it will never be able to do what I need it to do. Development has come to a screeching halt because I literally cannot create an additional Automation...To resolve this, (I'm thinking) it will require a completely different approach to my base design. Instead of keeping everything under one base, I'll need to split tables off into their own bases. I guess I'll have to MANUALLY 😠 re-create all the Automations related to that table into the new base as well. My main concern
