Interface Designer

when i use the interface (not editing pages, but actually use the interface) it is really slowi have around 3 bases and interfaces that are my company main bases and we use them dailythey are slow, to load up a list of records (10-20 records, filtered from a 5K records table) takes 4-5 seconds, this make my work lagalso, search by one term is slowmoving between interface pages is slow, each page take at least 3 seconds to load not to mention the mobile app… is it fixable? is it just the way it is?

Hello,I have shared 3 interfaces with a collaborator and have given them editor permissions. They are able to acces one of the 3 interfaces. When they try to access the other 2 interfaces they get a notification which says 'You are not authorized to view this page'.I am pretty sure that I followed the same procedure to share the interfaces and I don't think I have set any restrictions for who can see the interfaces. M is only able to view the Equipment & FAcilities Maintenance even though they have editor permission on all the interfaces.M has access to the interfaces on the desktop and they work perfectly for the permissions I have set. This issue only occurs on the mobile app on a tablet.Does anyone know what might be going on?Thanks!

I’m working on an interface that is all connected to Property Projects through the Record Picker. I’m trying to create elements that pull data from the subject property through the Record Picker. For example, I’m creating a Comps element. However, I need the comps to pull only from the Property selected in the Record Picker. It’s prompting me to create a condition, however, I don’t have the Record Picker as an option. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance! 

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and have been working on this for 24 hours straight. I tried hard to find a Discord server for it, but sadly, there isn’t one.The main point is: I want to display a single piece of data alongside a bar chart in the interface. I keep getting confused about how to do it. Even ChatGPT misunderstands the issue as something related to login and doesn’t provide exact guidance. So, could someone kindly help me with this?

I genuinely for the life of me cannot create a second interface. im on a teams plan thats set to expire in a few months so i did downgrade but should still have benefits from it.I have a table with 23 rows that I want to give to clients. the link and everything works great and they can take all the actions required.Where I’m having issues is when I try to create a second interface, I click new interface and it just adds it as a page. I genuinely do not see a way to create a second interface.I even go back to “data” then back to “interfaces” and it just puts me back into edit mode for the first interface.Genuinely losing my mind

Hello Community.I want to create a form where the user is inputting an on-call schedule. They will add a technician’s name and the dates he is covering, then if they have another technician, then they add the next technician’s name and dates he is covering.Since Airtable Forms does NOT support “Add another” button in the same form. I need a work around for a form that would have repeatable sections.An internet search told me I need two linked forms – but I can’t find anything to help me do thatThis is what I have. A table for the On-call schedule where a year of weeks is set up with the start and end dates for that week, and the property.I then have a On-call Assignments table that has the technician’s name, the work week they are assigned.Then I have two forms that I want it to seem logical for the user to fill out and,  I want the tables to logically be; This technician → belongs to → THIS schedule → At this property

I created a schedule but when I share the public link I want any user if they click the location it the address comes up. If they click a person their email and phone number come up. There is other information connected to each person so I don’t want everything to be shown just those fields. It works correctly for me when I’m in the edit screen of the interface but when use the public link I get a message that says “Record details are not available.” The fields of these areas are all “Link To”. Any help you can give would be great. I have gone into the User Actions, toggled it on and clicked into the details. The permissions are View Only and list the areas with the information I need. If anyone has any ideas let please let me know. Thank you! 

Is there a way to add an outlook email as an attachment that can be opened and viewed later? Currently we can add the email in the attachment field but when trying to open it, it looks like gibberish. I can download then, but would rather not add that step to an otherwise simple workflow.   

Hello, we have an issue with the urls of the records on the interfaces.We have basically 2 interfaces 1 for our project manager and one for our dev team.The issue is when we try to share a record url from the interface to our dev team they can’t access the url because they have their own interface even if the record is basically the same.So how to solve this issue? Any idea or workaround?We need to have different interfaces for different teams and is a pity we could not cross share records url. Thanks a lot!

HI everyone,I have an interface setup for my iPhone and iPad. If I open the interface do some work and leave it open to come back to. When I do come back to it, say 5mins later, the app will reset and request I sign back in. I’m on an iPhone 14 and iOS is up to date. I’ve deleted the Airtable app and reinstalled.Is this common issue? Did I miss something on the Interface setup? Should I access the Interface differently?

Are there plans to have the ability to create more than three heirachy levels? The use case is as follows: I would like to be able to create a hierachy that includes: InitiativesEpicsProjects/FeaturesStoriesTasksCurrently I can only link the bottom three

I’m looking at building an interface to streamline inputting some information but before I think about redesigning my current database I just want to check if it’s possible to create an interface that would allow information to be updated across multiple tables?Even more complicated, would it be possible for the interface to react live to automations? To try to give a bit of context I want to have a contract table where the top line contract information is kept - as part of this an automation creates different versions of a product linked to that contract in an editions table…Could an interface handle me entering the contract detail and then have the editions appear ready to be edited?  

I have an interface - created as a blank interface, and I am using  an existing table to enter the info. How do I go about printing this?What I really need is a clear place for me to click into a record and see all the info at once - like a PDF (I should be able to design it, very specifically), I should be able to switch between records very easily, and print easily and neatly. Any ideas?

I was having a problem to share record view for just one record in my airtable. Then I just shared all recordview to my external users. Now because they are opening my shareable view from mobile apps they can not see the right side of the recordview. How can I solve my problem ? I am open to any suggestions. Recrod View is not necessary but I just need to be able to share my record to external users to fill some places in my record (Not creating record, updateing record)  

Hi Airtable team,I’m writing because I noticed a recent change in the way linked-record fields behave inside Interfaces, specifically in grid/table components.Until this week, it was possible to enter data extremely efficiently by simply clicking on the empty row and typing the first letters of a linked record. The matching record would appear instantly, without having to open the dropdown first. This made data entry much faster, especially when pasting or entering multiple records in a row.Since the latest update, it is no longer possible to type directly into the cell to trigger autocomplete. We now must click to open the dropdown and then manually search inside it. This significantly slows down workflows for users who rely on Interfaces for rapid data entry.For many of us who use Interfaces as our primary workspace — especially those handling large volumes of records daily — this change has a major negative impact on productivity.Could you pleas

Hello Airtable users,Did I miss something? Up until now, the button that allowed deleting a record was located in the dropdown menu. However, it doesn’t seem to work there anymore. It only triggers if I remove it from the dropdown and place it directly on the main page.  

HELP!When I’m in the specific Events tab that my web-integrated interface pulls from, I see all the information I’ve selected to display by customizing the labels. However, when I copy embed code and plop into to the HTML editor on my webpage, this is all I get: What the heck am I missing?????  

I’m perplexed as to why buttons created in the data view cannot yet work in Interface view.  How has this not been worked out?   

Hi everyone,I’m on an Enterprise Scale Airtable account and running into a consistent issue in Interface Designer when trying to build a simple cascading filter workflow.My goal:Users should select a Production first, then see only the Generators linked to that Production in a Record Picker (for a Daily Log interface).The problem: When I add a Record Picker and try to create a condition like Where Production Name is [Value], the Static / Dynamic toggle never appears. I can’t link the Record Picker to a Filter or any other element dynamically. Hello, I have run into a issue where a date field with time is adding an extra day to a timeline view. Here’s what I’m working with:Using a timeline for Resource Management Utilization Applied Summarize Utilization Using Available Hours Using Account for Time off  The Start and End Date fields on the Timeline Date Fields and the Time Off Date Fields include time. What I’m seeing:When an End Date on Time Off is set to any other time then 12:00am it marks the following day as also being Time Off (OOO).   I’ve tired every setting we have on the timeline view to fix this and nothing works. Hi,I’m building a weekly service planner in the new Airtable Interface (Calendar element).My setup uses:  Pradžios laikas (Start date/time) – editable date field Pabaigos laikas (skaičiuojamas) (End date/time) – a computed formula field  The interface does not allow dragging or even showing the computed end date properly.Also, I cannot find any option to limit visible working hours (e.g. 08:00–18:00) — the calendar always displays 24h. My goal:  Display a weekly calendar (for 5–6 working days) Show jobs only between 08:00–18:00 Allow visualization using a computed end date
